I couldn’t really think at the moment… The storm was getting heavier and rays of lightening flashed into the room, I shut my eyes
After a while, the storm reduced and rain began drizzling… Ah! This is one hell of a night
I slowly let myself loose from Gino’s grip
I shifted but he was just staring at me

Today is so blessed, we had an awesome training and now There’s a little drizzling of rain ☂

I was walking back to my tent
I saw someone sitting at the foot of a tree alone, sobbing perharps
I approached the figure, it was Jumica
She saw me and quickly stood up saluting me severally
She wiped off her tears and tried to smile
“Why the tears? “I asked not looking at her
“Nothing personal, just decided to cry for the people dying of corona virus around the world… “She said,

“That’s a stupid reason cause you haven’t had access to the internet in a week now since the camp started ” I said
She smiled shyly
“I was beaten by a soldier ant 🐜 “she said and I didn’t know when I laughed
“Its okay if you aren’t comfortable sharing ur stuff with me, I don’t like talking either “I confessed and she smiled, for real this time
Soon, her eyes became teary
And tears dropped slowly
“I don’t think I can do this anymore… “She said

I really want to just go lie down but I don’t know why am too eager to know what’s bothering her

I called again and he finally picked up 📲

“Tessy, its almost one in the morning, what’s wrong? ” he asked
I told him about Gino and the fact that he’s bleeding to death in my bedroom
“Urgh….. “He gro-ned angrily
“He has gone too far! ” I heard him yell from the phone
“Stay put, am on my way there “he ordered and hung up
I couldn’t stop anticipating
He’s actually coming??
I waited for a while before heading upstairs
I slowly entered my room, only to see that Gino is gone, he escaped??

5 AM
I was scared to the bones as the living room door opened slowly
I used a blanket to cover myself as I laid beside a sofa murmuring my last prayers 🙏
The door finally opened, I saw a figure
Angelo! He saw me and our eyes met
I rushed to him and hugged him
I hid my head on his chest… Words can’t describe how happy I feel right now
