I remember Vividly that first day and first time in Brittney College; am a total stranger in the midst of a crowd. Everyone seems to be talking about me.
Am Avelyn Summer the only nerd my parent as a daughter; Noah my elder brother is a very lively type. He is very protective of me and I don’t blame him am is only little sister but he is the cause of my single life at Seventeen.
Noah as everything girls wanted and they follow him round the school, I was doing fine in high school until Noah I finally resume College some few days I clock Seventeen and here I am stuck under my brother nose.
His eyes is always on me and the day everyone found out he is my brother. I became so popular even among his girl fans. I get alot of gift from them and some even plead with me to give some things to him but anytime I give it to him he just order me to throw them away because they are useless.
I was trashing some of the gift that particular morning that was were I met my best friend Amy Watson. She seems to be the only girl not admiring Noah which was just a class ahead of us.
And now enough of Noah let me talk about myself. Avelyn is a number one fan of Literature class and my love for it made me always come first in every test and exam.
My popular brother Noah, doesn’t seems to care so much about anything book but he loves everything under the skirt. Like who would still stuck his nose in the middle of the book when he knows he is the only heir to”ANNING”.
My father owns the biggest company in Sidney, Australia. The kind of car my brother ride to school says it all. I would have prefer riding with my brother but I don’t want to be around his girl fans so I plead with Dad to get mine so literally we go to school separately.
I would have preferred been a Nerd that people don’t want to know than a girl that is so popular because of her stupid Man-Wh-re Brother.

Today is going to be my first day in school after a long summer break and here I am still in bed and enjoying my soft bed until My phone ring and I gro-ned stretching on the bed and reaching for my phone.
“Amy why this early”I muttered as I pick the call and her overjoyed voice came in.
“Avelyn”I could hear the excitement in her voice.
“Morning”I greeted.
“Don’t tell me you are still hugging your pillow are you planning to get late on your first day in school after a summer break”Her excitement were now dying down and I can hear her well.
“I would be late only if I keep talking to you”I yawned.
“Okay let meet at school gate exactly 8:00am have got a good news for you”She said and immediately hang up because I was still feeling sleepy.
Just when I was about to sleep the door of my room went open and Noah bashed into me room like he doesn’t realize am a female.
“What up with you can’t you knock I might be unclad you know”I frown and he burst into laughter.
“It not funny”I squeeze my face.
“It funny because all I see is a girl still contemplating on the bed and not preparing to go to school”he chuckled and I frown.
“Seems they ruin my morning already let just get ready”I muttered and shift the duvet off my body.
“I don’t know what you’re saying but come downstairs in the next twenty minute, Dad want to say a good bye to us before leaving”he said as he walk out of my room and shut the door. I sigh in frustration as I stood up and walk sluggishly to my bathroom.
Why is Dad even here in the first place?. This house is just for me and my brother; My Mom died fighting cancer and after Dad remarried we weren’t comfortable so he bought another house just another street from his and his promise to my mother was no matter what Noah must be the only heir to “ANNING” and that why he does all he do for us.
I brush my Elbow length hair and adjusted my skirt; am not the type that pack my hair so I always leave it falling but sometimes regret it when they start obstructing my view when writing so am always with a hair band for cases like that.
I pick up my bag and race to join my brother downstairs who possibly would having breakfast already and I was right he is now feeding on mine already.
“Eat like human and not animal”I snatch my toast from him and he frown which only made me laugh.
“Good morning Dad”I settled right at my brother on the chair and drop my toast and eggs and started eating it he seems to be counting every bite I made so Dad pass his own to him and he stick out his tongue to me like a kid.
Noah should have a big stomach but not matter the amount of food he eat; those packs are always there and he use that to distract girls especially when he plans on going to gym.
We ate breakfast and Noah and I couldn’t stop fighting but when he made a funny face I laugh and Dad just smile. We grew up together and he certainly knows Naoh is a food monger.
“So you two should do well in school very well and don’t forget the ANNING events coming up in a month, so get prepared I will credit your account once I get back to office” The only thing my brother and I do whenever he talk was nod.
He ditch us just to get married to a Low class woman or lady from somewhere. I don’t blame him all I know is my Mom died a hero. Cancer is just the bastard that doesn’t know the bad people from the good ones.
I unlock my car and Noah did the same and that was how we started driving to school or should I tell you something Noah and I Always do a Car race every morning but he end up winning every morning.
Noah seems not to be bothered about Dad decision and the event coming up is for a show off for his son and his daughter. Naoh is a complete definition of handsome and Avelyn wasn’t a big deal too she is a brilliant one.
He seems to regret it because he wish he was with us every morning; fighting for breakfast with us just like we do even knowing there are more in the kitchen. I grew up with brotherly love every girl would wish for even though he is a total jerk
