After watching Tim drama show; I head home alone since Amy ditch me for her new date Ryan who happened to be there by coincidence. The event place wasn’t so far from my house so i didn’t take my car instead am Walking down the street alone even though it beginning to get dark.
I knew I should have listened to Noah about taking my car but it not Everytime I go around with that fancy car. I was walking down the estate to my house when I notice someone was walking behind my back.
I increase my pace and the person did the same or was it just me imagining things. I look around and discover no one was around and it getting dark the more.
I was so scared what if the person is a kidnapper.
I turn and quickly punch the person hærd in the tummy. He gro-ned as he went down immediately, I guess my boxing classes weren’t just for fun. “What did you do that for”that voice sounds familiar.
“Nate”I called and quickly squat to help him up back.
“Am sorry I thought it was someone else”I said.
“Like a kidnapper or what”he seems to have fight over the pain.
“Am sorry”I replied.
“Do you remember me”I quickly change the topic.
“Hmm… aren’t you the girl from…”I interrupt him because I think he has difficulty remembering me which I doubt because I caught him staring at me at the school cafeteria.
“I’m Avelyn Summer”I stretch out my hand for a shake and he took it.
“Nate”he smile and took it. I felt a spark and he let go of my hand real quick or did he feel the same too.
“So what are you doing here”I decide to keep the conversation going to at least know a little about him so I won’t be looking like a dummy when Amy talks about him.
“I live down here”he replied and he sound really friendly.
“So how was your Try out today”I asks and we started walking down the same path.
“Hmm..I actually got in but it would be hærd getting them to like me”
“Just like your girl fans”I teased and he laugh.
Am glad I made someone laugh but I was getting really close to my house.
And finally am there. “This my house, so good night”I said even though I wish I could just stay with him there and talk about natural things.
“The upcoming event if you don’t mind”he scratch the back of his head and it obvious he is nervous about something.
“What”I asks curiously.
“Will you be my date”he said and I almost choked as I swallow my lumps.
“Sure definitely”I replied foolishly but before I could revert back what I just said Noah came out just that moment with the trash bag probably heading to dispose it.
“Oh Avelyn you are……”his eye met Nate and he frown.
“Who is he”he asks completely forgetting about me.
“He is just a new student in my class; his name is Nate and also our neighbors”I introduce properly.
“Nice meeting you”Nate said in a friendly tone.
“Avelyn get in,side”he ordered immediately and i know if I don’t respect that Nate might be in trouble so I just wave at him and walk in,side and Noah join immediately.
“You got to stay away from him; he looks like those bad——” I interrupted.
“Bad guy and the type that breaks girls heart”I said and he frown.
“What”I shrug because that what he says anything he sees me with a guy which is not him or Tim.
“So how was the drama”he change the topic.
“You know the reply”I chuckled and he laugh.
“Anyway are you coming for the new semester party?”I asks and he frown again.
“Yes and you are not going anywhere”he warned.
“Am definitely going for this year party whether you like it or not”I replied.
“But it not for teen like you”he scold me like a kid.
“You aren’t stopping me this time around”I didn’t wait for him to talk as I walk away to the kitchen to prepare dinner for us.
“Suite yourself but my eye would be on you through out the party” I chuckled because he would probably be surrounded by his school wh-re or his girl fans; he walk into the kitchen and fill his cup with cold water and gulp it down.
I prepare dinner for us and that was how the day went.

The next day was just me having one class to another and Amy won’t stop asking about how I met Nate last night after telling her he want me to be his date and also how I got Noah to allow me attend the party I had always missed.
I was on my way to submit my essay and taking a break from Amy before I heard an unnecessary noise from the empty class. I had the urge to go check out what is going on so I tip- toed there and peep making sure no one sees me.
It was Josh and Nate arguing over something, I guess Amy was right when she said they are Fire and Ice.
“How dare you asks her to go with you”Josh scowled.
“What does it have to do with you?”Nate fired back. Why do I have feeling it had something to do with me.
“Oh I know you are here for something else and not just because you are bored of your home”Josh clenched his fist together.
“You know this has got nothing to do with that”Nate replied.
“Then why choose my school when there are other befitting school for Rich kids like you”Josh said.
“It totally non of your business”Nate fired back angrily.
“If you don’t stay your lane I will tell everyone about you”Josh said and Nate Smirk. What wrong with this two are they really always like this.
“You know it would ruin your reputation too”Nate replied. Are they keeping a secret from the wh0le school?.
I wasn’t able to hear all before someone called my name and I quickly move away from the door so the guys won’t know have been listening to their conversation.
“What’s up with you”It Tim.
“Nothing just checking something and am about to go submit my essay”I change the topic.
“Oh then let go together am on my way to see her but not for the essay though”he said.
“Oh sure let go together”we walk down the hallway together.
“Will you be my date to the school party”Tim asks out of nowhere and I was short of words.
I can’t go with him too because I already accept to be Nate date last night.
“Errrn actually I don’t know if Noah would allow me go”I lied although I felt bad lying to my best friend.
“Hmm it okay but just tell me if he change his mind because have got something to tell you at the party”He replied.
“Sure, but can you give me an hint”I tease and he laugh.
“Seriously Avelyn”he shot at me and I laugh too.
“Do you the theme of this year Party?”he asks like he doesn’t know am not into all Stuffs like that even though am curious.
“Hmm no idea” I reply plainly.
“Truth or Dare”he said and I gasped like it was something surprising.
“That means it would be a game night”I replied and he nod.
“I heard from few students that it would be more fun than last year”he sounds excited about it. I wasn’t even there last year so how does he expects me to know.
“I have to go now”I change the topic instantly.
“Don’t forget to ring me once Noah change his mind”
“Sure “And we depart to our various destination.
