I sit down opposite Amy in the school cafeteria as I sigh in frustration and she pause to look at me. “What wrong and were have you been”She asks placing her phone on the table in between us.
“Arrrrrgh”I scatter my hair.
“Do you know you are scaring me”She said in more concerned tone and I look up to her.
“Do you think I should go to the party next week”I asks and stare at me like I’m crazy.
“What”I fired.
“You’ve never been to the party and here is an opportunity and you want to ditch it”She scold me like I was a kid.
“Tim asks me to be his date too”I said and she was taken aback by my word.
“You mean Tim; our Tim”She emphasize and all I do was nod.
“Just tell him you have a date”She said simply.
“I can’t tell him I agree to Nate the new guy instead of him and if I attend it with Nate he would probably be mad at me”I explained and she sigh.
“Then go alone”She advise.
“Can I confide in you”I asks and she shot me a dagger look.
“What”
“Am your only best friend”She yelled and I calm her down.
I told hee everything I saw at the empty class and all she does was w¡dened her eye and gasp.
“Do you think Josh still feel sorry for what he did to me last year”I asks.
“That punk did it on purpose but why would he fight Nate just because of the same reason”she asks and I shrug.
“Hmm….I really hate that Josh for dumping you last party and that end the reason you weren’t there”She replied.
“Am not really sure it me so let not argue about that”I said and she nod.
“Will you follow me to the mall after school”She change the current topic.
“What are you going to the mall for”I asks.
“Am getting a new dress for the party”She giggled making me laugh.
“Wow, maybe I should get one for myself too”I smile and she nod.
“Absolutely”I stole her lunch and she frown before she burst into laughter.

The week was just me and Amy talking about the party even though am not sure about my decision. I was lying on my bed as usual composing a speech on my laptop. I need to come up with something nice for Dad event because that why he actually wants me there.
I was still disturbing my brain trying to get something into my laptop before my phone rang playing “Intention by Justin Bieber”. It’s a call from Amy as usual.
📞 “Don’t tell me you are still on your bed on Saturday morning”Her excited voice came so clear because I put the phone on loud speaker still typing something into my laptop.
📞”Yeah” I replied honestly
📞”Pick me up exactly 12:00 let visit the pool today and enjoy the weather”She said and Immediately hang up before I could say a word.
Gosh!! friends are annoying sometimes; I quickly dress up making sure I pack things for the pool whatever she is about to drag me into.
And exactly after 12 we arrive there and it was like half of the school decide to come there today just because the weather seems to fit perfect today.
“I didn’t know alot of people would be here”Amy said as she change into her bikini and I did the same and just immediately we came out we bumped into Nate!!.
“Wow what a coincidence” he said as he look over to Amy who won’t stop drooling. Am not really comfortable seeing him shirtless and with just short.
“Oh yeah meet my friend Amy”I introduce Any to him.
“Nate”he shook her hand and it was brief.
“I will be back let me get us a drink”Any excuse herself.
“Nate do you mind”I asks.
“Am fine I came here with my friends”he pointed at a direction and it was just the football team but Josh wasn’t there.
“Seems you are fitting perfectly into their midst”I replied and he nod.
“Actually there is something I want to tell”he change the topic.
“Sure go ahead”I replied.
“I won’t make it to the party because I need to go home”he said.
“Are you sure it nothing serious”I asks concerned.
“Nothing but I will be back the next Monday”he said and I nod.
“Are you okay with it”he asks.
“Yeah sure”I replied nothing really sure of myself.
“Okay I will have to take my leave now”He walk to his friends and Amy walk in just in time.
“Wow I never knew you are now after hottie”Amy giggled and I roll my eye.
“So what were you talking about”She asks passing me a glass of juice.
“Nothing but he just said he won’t make it to the party next week Saturday”I replied and she gasped.
“Hope nothing serious”she asks making the exact face I did when Nate told me.
“Nothing”I replied and she nod.
“Are you sure it doesn’t have anything to do with the fight”She asks and I shrug.
I never really though of that. “Comm’n let enjoy the weather”She seems to be trying to lighten up my mood.

School resume on Monday again and tell hallway was crowd with student. I had the worst weekend with Noah after he found out I went out on Saturday without him.
Mrs. Stevenson walk into the class and the noise earlier reduced.
“Morning student”She greets and my mood seems to change.
“We’ve shortlisted the number of students that would be chosen and after class you can go check it”She said and a smile form on my l-ips.
“Now back literature class, where did you stop on Lonely Days”Finally she is talking about the novels.
After class I was restless; I really need to see Tim but Amy called back.
“What”I asks as i squeeze my textbook tightly to my chest.
“The list”I gasp’s as she mention that so we walk to the Front of the posted paper.
Amy help me check since she was a bit taller than me. “Your name is on the top girl”She gave me an high five and her eye w¡dened as she went back checking.
“What wrong”I asks as I stretch my head to see what made her stood shocked.
“Nate”I called.
“He didn’t tell us he is into Literature”Amy frown.
“He didn’t even make mention of it that guy is a real jerk”I said and Amy nod her head in agreement.
“Let go am starving”Amy said.
“I will catch you up I need to see Tim”I replied and she nod before walking away.
Tim seems to always have a separate class with us according to his time table so it hærd finding him but there is somewhere I know he love been which is the computer lab.
“Avelyn”he called in excitement immediately he saw me.
“Yeah and I don’t know why you are hærd to s₱0t”I sit on an empty chair in the lab.
“Have been busy on something so what brought you here”he asks.
“Actually Noah approve I can go to the par—”he interrupted me before I could finish my word.
“Take this”he hand a card to me.
“What this”I was about to rip it open before he stop me.
“You should do it at home”he smile.
“Okay then so I should get going before Amy cut my head off”I head for the door.
“Okay and consider the letter”that was his last word before I finally walk out.
