Arya woke up, she was thirsty and wanted something to drink. She quietly made it to the door to avoid causing a noise.
She headed to the kitchen. The sound of the wind on the window drew her attention.
She walked close to it, shutting it close. Turning to leave, the window banned open, causing her to flinch.
She exhaled frustratedly, walking towards the window to shut it close again.
She waited for a while, staring to see if it would open. Seconds turned to minute, it didn’t.
She left to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water, gulping it down at once.
She poured herself again, in an instant she gulped it all, exhaling heavily.
She turned to leave to her room, turning off the kitchen light she took a glimpse of dark red eyes at the middle of the kitchen.
She quickly turned it on, but there is no one, not even the red eyes standing at the middle of the kitchen.
She turned it off again, and the same red eyes appeared. She turned it on again, and the red eyes was no where.
For the third time she switched the light off, and the red eyes was right at the same s₱0t.
It blinked at her, and again. She missed her step, falling to the ground.
Quickly, she got to her feet, making her way back to her room. She turned back, only to see the red eyes few miles away from her.
” Lily!!” She scre-med from the outside, ” Lily!!”
She rushed to the door, making her way in. She banged it after her, bolting it.
” What the heck was that for?!” Lily yelled as she woke up by the loud sound of the door.
Arya was shivering that she didn’t notice Lily wake up. ” Arya?!” She yelled her name.
Arya flinched, like her mind has just returned to reality. ” Hey, what’s wrong?” Lily asked.
” I… I… There… The… I… It’s… It’s … ” Arya stammered in fear, body trembling like she had woken up from a dreadful nightmare.
” Hey,” Lily walks up to her. ” slow down. Take a deep breath.” Arya inhaled, ” and out.” exhaling heavily. ” Good. Now talk to me like you’re reporting a case, what did you see? ”
” I went to the kitchen to have a glass of water, and… and when I was returning back to the room, I saw this eyes… it was red, dark red.
Like someone was standing in the kitchen, it was staring at me. When I turned on the lights, it was gone. I turned it off again, and it was there like it didn’t move. And when I turned it on again… ”
She started shivering again, Lily hugged her tight. ” You’re having an illusion, Arya.”
” No. No, I’m not. I know what I saw. I saw it, it was right in the kitchen. ” She said, breaking the hug.
” I know. ”
” No, you don’t. You don’t believe me, you think I’m just imagining things but you’re wrong. I know what I saw. ”
” Arya, I understand what you are passing through. Whatever that happened to you at the cinema yesterday, I think it’s affecting you. ” Lily said, pitifully.
She collapsed on lily’s bed, sobbing. ” I feel weird. Every seconds I feel like there’s something watching me. Not just the red eyes in the kitchen, but every minute of the day, I can feel some one watching every movement I make. It’s out there. ”
Lily sat beside her. ” You need a doctor. ”
Arya looks at her with a frown. ” I don’t think you understand what I am saying. ” She stands up, walking to her own bed. ”
” Of course I…”
” No you don’t!! ” Cuts her short with a yell. ” No one does! Something… Someone is out there watching my life. Somehow I can feel it.
Never in my life have I walked into a kitchen to see something weird like tonight, and you still find this like a story? ” She scoffed.
” Yes, the window was opened too. ” She angrily sat on her bed. ” Everything is becoming weirder than I thought.”
” What window?” Asked Lily, turning to Arya. ” You mean the one at the dinning room? ”
” Yes. ”
” I remember locking it, how then did you find it open? ” She asked in shock.
Arya shrugged. ” Now you see I ain’t crazy and definitely don’t need a doctor.”
Lily sat in thought, confused about what she had said. ” Do you think this creature had followed us from the cinema?”
Arya shrugged again. ” I can’t remember the creature or what it looks like, but I’m certain things are really going weird. ”

Arya was up before the c-ck crows. She sat on her seat, working on the early morning papers.
Adrian wasn’t in his office yet and Nicole wasn’t present either. It was only her and some few staffs.
She was very conscious of the teeth marks on her wrist. She covered the bandage with her long sleeve not to get it exposed.
Though she was feeling stingy pains in the wound, she tried as much as possible not to give it so much attention.
She checked on the wall clock, it was 7am. Just then, the elevator door opened, both Nicole and Adrian stepped out of it.
” Good morning, Adrian.” She greeted first. ” Good morning, Nicole.”
” Good morning, Ms Stark.” He said, together with Nicole he headed straight to his office.
Arya continued with her duty, separating the finished files from the unfinished ones.
She counted the unfinished ones, she’s got five more to go before she’d be done.
Not up to ten minutes, she was done with the files. She gathered them all together, taking them into her arms, she made it to his office.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
” Come in.” He permitted.
Arya opened the door, shutting it gently after her. She walked close to his desk, ” Here are the files, sir,” she notified.
” Drop it on my desk.” She did as she was told.
” Is there anything else I can do for you? ” She asked.
” I’ll be needing you at the conference room in the next one hour. Until then, you’re free for now. ” He said.
A small portion of the bandage exposed from her sleeve, Nicole’s eyes has been on it since she walked in.
” What happened to your wrist?” ” She asked, immediately Arya covered it with the sleeves.
” Nothing. It’s just a scratch.” She frankly said.
She looked at Adrian who stared at it for a while then back to her face. ” I’ll just leave.” She said, making her way out of the office.

~ AT THE CONFERENCE ROOM ~
( 1 Hour Later…)
Arya walked in five minutes after Adrian had entered. She stood behind him, while he went ahead discussing some important stuffs with Kamilah.
Arya felt the itchy s-nsation around the mark increasing. She hid her hand behind her back, gently scratching it.
The feeling had turned to a painful one that she felt like tearing the bandages off and having it scratched to her satisfaction.
in,side the well ventilated room, with four air conditioners sectioned at the four corners of the room yet, Arya still felt hot.
She wiped her forehead with the back of her hand and it’s almost ten times she has done it in just less than twenty seconds.
Kamilah looked at her, taking it off almost immediately. Arya sighed in relief that she didn’t suspect her.
Second, she began to feel dull and weak that her legs could barely carry her for long.
Her eyes was beginning to close gradually, everything in the room grew double at her sight.
The note pad she was holding fell off her grip, and she fell to the ground.
This got both Adrian and Kamilah’s attention. Adrian rushed towards Arya’s now shivering body like she was suffering from a convulsion attack.
” What’s wrong with her?” Kamilah asked, looking at Adrian for a reply.
” I don’t know. ” He said, feeling her pulse.
” Do something!” She scre-med.
” As you can see I’m doing more than something right now. ” His eyes got hold of the bandage underneath her sleeve.
Taking it off, their eyes w¡dened in shock. ” She’s bitten.” He said.
” Who do you think might have bitten her?” Kamilah asked, studying the reddish tooth mark on her wrist.
” We are yet to find out about that. Right now, I need her in my office. ” He jerks her in his arms, hurriedly taking her to his room.
He drops her gently on his long sofa, ” It’s a bite from the clanless. I think who ever did this to her had the intention to feed on her. ” He guessed.
” You think she was struggling in the process? ” She guessed.
” Yes. As she tries to avoid his bite, he must have bitten her on her wrist.” He imagined it as it has happened.
He bite his finger tip, rubbing his blood against the teeth marks on her wrist. It healed instantly, and for a while she stopped shivering.
Her body became calm, only her breathing could be heard.
” Is there a time she knew about the Vampires?” She asked him.
” Yes. ” Still looking at Arya.
” Did she undergo debriefing?” Looks at Kamilah.
With a nod, he replied. ” Yes.”
” Do you think someone is spying on her?” She suggested. ” Someone who knows she once knew about our kind. ”
” I don’t doubt you, but I’m not certain who it could be. ” He said, returning his gaze to Arya.
” Who was there when she found out about your identity? ” She asked again.
” Just Nicole and I and the library keeper. ” He said. ” Nicole won’t try anything stupid.” He said confidentially.
” I didn’t say Nicole did, but you’ve got to be careful, Adrian. We can’t trust anybody and we don’t know who is who.
Someone might actually be using her for his gain and likewise against you. And whatever this person is up to, I think he’s trying to make her remember. And if she does, I don’t know. ”
” What are you thinking? ” He asked.
” I’m suspecting it could be one of the councils… ”
” The Baron? ”
” Yes. ” She sighed.
” But he doesn’t know Arya. ” He said.
” The Baron’s got eyes everywhere. He knows things before anyone else so, I’m certain he does know about your new assistant. ”
” She doesn’t deserve this. ” He said, bitterly.
” I won’t conclude yet but for now, I think you have to keep a close guard on her if you don’t want anyone implicating you. ”
