Ace stood up trembling, fill with fear for the demon, he smirked and Ace scre-med, he ran towards the entrance door. The demon laughed sinisterly, staring at Ace when he was about opening the door. The door open and Ace ran without looking backward, he ran absentminded and ran into a moving car.

The car was coming with a limited speed, the driver tried to match on his brakes, but it was too late, he ran Ace through. Ace stumbled lifeless to the ground, bleeding from his head.

The driver came out scurry to Ace. He glance at the lifeless kid, he panicked thinking of what to do next.

He couldn’t live the kid like this, his subconsciousness won’t let him. He carried him on his arms and place him in the car.

He drove Ace to the nearby local hospital.

The driver panicked, praying to God to make the kid survive. This was a police case and the doctor as informed the cops, there were on their way. The thought of been behind bars was giving him cramps, but he was less worried about that, he want the kid to survive. But it wasn’t his fault the kid as ran into his car.

The driver’s phone rang through his trousers pocket. He dug his hand to his pocket and brought out the phone.

” oh, no ” he lamented, ruffing his hair.

He just dawn on him, that he was suppose to pick the priest up three hours. He was heading to meet the priest at the airport. The wh0le kid thing as made him forget.

He answered the call.

” Hello, Ethan, why didn’t you come pick me up ” the priest on the other hand required calmly.

No reply

” I have to pay a tax home ” says the priest

He sighed deeply and wonder how the news of him hitting a kid on the way will sound to him. But he knew he have to inform the priest, no matter what, his prayers his needed.

He sighed again with fear in his heart.

” Am sorry Rev Luke, I knock down a kid on my way ” he said, after much silent.

” Oh ooo Ethan, you mean you ran a kid through, with the car, Lord have mercy ” the priest lament

” What hospital are you ” the priest inquired.

Ethan told him the name of the hospital.

The cops arrived and started taking statement from the driver. He told them exactly what had happen. But they said, he should come with them for further investigation.

He begged them to let him stay till the master came. After pleasing with them, they agreed, but they didn’t let him out of their sight.

The priest arrived subsequently.

” Oh, Ethan, what have you gotten yourself into ” he lamented again, seeing him surrounded with cops.

The doctor came out and announce that the kid was dead. Ethan cried, but the priest demanded to see the kid. He let him.

The priest met the kid from his head to toe with cloth. He ask the nurse who was by the lid side to remove the cloth. The nurse obeyed knowing he was a man of God with the way he dressed. There was a bible in his hand and a rosary in his left hand.

The priest did prayed, and each time the prayer became intense and strong. He was praying for Ace to regain life.

#The_next_day

Mrs Thompson arrived, she met the door wide open, she knew her kids was stubborn, but not careless to live the door wide open so early in the morning. But slowly negative thought arose in her mind, she sigh fearfully and made her way in. She went upstairs hoping to see them in the bedroom, but she sight the door to Louis’s bedroom ajar. She was getting an eerie feeling.

She called their name as she made her way to Louis’s room. But when she got there, she found nobody, she rushed downstairs and went to the backyard, assuming they may be there. She was feeling tense.

Mrs Thompson came back to the house and yell both of them names, but still no reply. Her eyes diverted to the kitchen door, she move to the kitchen. But what she saw made her cry in terror. There she saw Louis lying lifeless with blood everywhere and a knife fell with blood in his hands.

” Louis!!!!! ” she cried at the top of her throat.

She hurried to lifeless Louis and cried out.

” What have you done to yourself ” she lamented, touching his cut throat.

Louis body was cold and strong now. He was completed dead.

She cried her eyes out and yell afterwards.

Her scre-m was heard by the wh0le neighborhood. They came outta of their homes and troop into into her home. She continue yelling in agony.

They reached the kitchen and gasped, some yelps.

It was already in the middle day, the polices are here, their cars surrounded the wh0le compound of the Thompson.

Her husband was home too, he was informed by one of his friend living in the neighborhood, Mr Diego. Mrs Thompson was in trauma, unable call anyone not even her husband , she only weep her heart out.

She sat on the couch, her husband in pains, but was console his wife, he was controlling is tears.

” Official, I can’t find my other son ” Mr Thompson informed the inspector, who stand before them, trying to tale statement.

” yea… yeah, Ace, where is Ace ” Mrs Thompson stuttered, it just got dawn on her that her other son was missing.

” Official, please find my so… ” she couldn’t complete her statement, before she break down into another cry, holding her face. Mr Thompson console her.

#The_next_day 🌄

Mrs Thompson and his wife slept in the parlour, with a lot of difficulty, they manage to fall asleep. Mrs Thompson get on crying uncontrollably, While her husband solace her. She was devastated, Mr Thompson as well, but he choose to hide his own. The cops have promise to find their other son, and maybe find out what really happen to Louis.

Mr Thompson was awaken by a knock on his door. He attempt to put his wife on the couch without waking her, since she slept on his chest. He place her on the couch, but she wake up.

” Hello, stay right here, let me get the door ” he said to his wife, her eyes was about resuming another round of tears.

She sat in a sitting position, and tears rekindled. Mrs Thompson went to the door.

When he open it, he saw a priest and two cops. He was startled, but his eyes w¡den when he saw his son Ace. He came out from the back on the priest with bandages wrap on his head. He looks pale, very dull.

“Ace ” he said excitedly and hugged him tight.

Ace didn’t say anything. Their scurry to the door as she heard her husband called Ace’s name.

” oh my baby ” she cried and hug Ace.

“Can we come in ” the priest ask.

“Yeah for sure “Mr Thompson replied.

Mrs Thompson took Ace by his hand.

They went in, including the two cops.

The priest move round the house examine it and nodded negatively.

Both parents lower their self to reach their sons height.

” Am sorry to announce to you, your brother is dead ” Mrs Thompson explain holding his tears, but his Ace’s mother cried out, shaking her head.

” Look at what happened, one of my son is injured and the other is…….. tears interrupted her last statement.

” I know “Ace manage to say and cried too.

They both arched a shocking brow.

” Mum, dad the moon demon killed him, and he was the one who killed Mia, he will surely come for me ” Ace cried, running into his parents hands.

” Weep no more, the lord whom i serve will surely save you and that demon can’t stand tho power of God. The peace in this home will surely be restore ” the priest assured.
