🎵 WELCOME TO NIGERIA 🎵

Oh… It’s good to be back in Nigeria after staying in Europe for 6 years… After passing through the airport terminal, I grabbed my luggage and went out of the airport.
As I came out into the streets, I looked around and saw how the surroundings had changed… Abuja was starting to look more and more modern and westernized.. I s₱0tted a taxi and halted it, after we had talked about my destination and payment with the cab driver , I got into the car and was driven away..

As I stared out through the window, I began to recall the experiences and the years I’ve spent abroad.
2021 is sure a great year for one to start over… Especially when the world had to deal with the Covid19 outbreak that nearly wiped out the population … My parents have been insisting I come home to visit them since last year but due to the outbreak I decided to wait until this year to come home.

My Life sure took a great turn after winning that competition… Not only did I get the cash prize but I got many offers from dance schools to join them.. I later joined one named *Tring Park School for the Performing Arts*… The school was amazing and a real workout and the best part was, the student can choose any programme of their study, it’s either Modeling, music, dancing or even acting…
The pay was good and I settled there nicely… Since I was a full time teacher, I had to be a British citizen there so that I wouldn’t be sent back home, I went to the state department to register for citizensh¡p in England.
Teaching dance steps wasn’t the only job I had, Thanks to my curvy stature and beauty, some modeling sponsors offered a contract for me to become their model, I accepted the offer when I saw the huge amount cash involved in it.. I modeled for a year and then I continued my teaching job… Some months later, I was again hired by some Perfume companies to be the face of their product, I accepted their offer and did my part… It was quite boring cause all I did was wear expensive clothes, pose at snap shots and finally do some short commercial, after I was done I was paid handsomely…
As if that wasn’t enough, I was given a small part to play in some movie about dancing and that was all Ming’s doing… Ming had been a successful film producer back in China, and we’ve been keeping in touch over the years, When she was about to make her Dance movie, she told me about it, I told her I was quite busy but she pleaded with me, so I accepted.. The movie was great and because of my small performance in it.. I soon became a celebrity and I started getting calls from movie directors…
It was too hærd keeping with all of this, but I managed to do them all… Despite my success, I was still under performing in the rom-nce department…

Ever since I realized that Peter was done with me, I’ve shut out every man that has tried to ask me out… I wanted to hate Peter for ignoring me and leaving me without telling why but Ming suggested that I shouldn’t do that… Ming who heard about Peter’s sudden change, decided that something must have happened and the only way to solve the problem was to meet with Peter face to face and talk about the issue.
Ming suggested that I contact him but Peter was unavailable or rather unwilling to talk to me… Since that night, I’ve been trying to call him, I even asked his parents to talk to him but Peter refused, It was his mom that last told me that he said he doesn’t want anything to do with me ever again.. Upon hearing that, I was completely heartbroken.. It was Ming who suggested I forget Peter and move on with my life … So I decided to work and do my thing to avoid or block out any distractions.

But Honestly, no matter how hærd I tried to forget him, I just can’t… Though contacting Peter wasn’t possible, I’ve been keeping tabs on him.. During my Third year in Europe, Peter’s name began to rise up.. Like Ming, he too was an excellent producer in the Nollywood film industry and his films were sure excellent, He even collaborated with some Asian film producers in writing and producing a current series film that I was crazy about.. The title of the series was *Red Flower*, which contained rom-nce, s-x and of course the lessons of life…
Lots of People were crazy about the series and because of how good it was, it received lots of awards, People wanted to follow Peter up on social media to show their love for his film but they’re wasting their time cause I know more than anyone he isn’t a fan of social networks.
My hate for Peter didn’t last long and my love for him was soon ignited back into my heart.. Charlene who thought I was done with Peter, was shocked when she saw me checking him out on the internet. She tried to convince me to stay away from him but her words couldn’t get to me so she gave up.

Speaking of Charlene.. Her life too was kind of great.. Thanks to her artistic skills, She got a job in Hollywood as an make up artist 🎨 and she’s among their best facial artists.. She later got married to Brad and had two kids with him,.. But things didn’t go smoothly in her marriage.. Four years later, she got separated from Brad because he was cheating on her.. She didn’t let the split up bother her, instead she focused on her work and took care of her kids.. So she’s now a single mom.

So that’s how 6 years of my stay in Europe was…. It was fun at first but soon everything became exhausting and boring, So I decided to take a vacation and come back home to Nigeria and here I am, Finally back to my African roots.

Minutes later, The Taxi 🚖 dropped me off right in front of my parents house.. They had no idea that I was coming so I wanted to surprise them. As soon as I paid the cab driver off, I took my luggage and went in,side the house..
My parents were together with Peter’s parents in,side the living room when I got in… Peter’s mom was the first person to see me and she scre-med out startling the others.. My mom too scre-med when she saw me.

Alice ➡ Angelina… Is this you?? Jesus lord! What have you been eating? I hærdly recognized you.
.

Jessica ➡ My God! Angelina.. Look at how you’ve grown into a fine young woman… Those white people have rubbed their whiteness on you.. Good lord!

Angelina ➡ Mama, Aunty… Good afternoon. It’s so nice to see you all.
.

Alice ➡ Hmm, your accent has changed too.. Wonderful.. Felix.. Just look at your daughter..
.

Felix ➡ I’m looking, i’m looking… Welcome back stranger (laughs)
.

Wright ➡ My God.. You’ve become a fine woman Angelina..
.

Angelina ➡ Thank you sir.. Sorry I didn’t tell you guys.. Sorry. I meant people that I was coming.
.

Felix ➡ Guys… Angelina.. Those white ruffians have tempered with your manners huh?
.

Wright ➡ Leave the young lady alone Felix.. It just slipped out.. I’m sure she didn’t mean it.
.

Alice ➡ So what are you doing back in Nigeria?
.

Angelina ➡ I came to see you guys.. Sorry.. I came to see you people.. It’s been so long and I need to rest.
.

Felix ➡ One more “Guys* from you.. I’ll make sure you go back straight where you came from.
.

Alice ➡ Darling.. Let her be. Don’t mind your father dear.
.

Jessica ➡ Welcome back my dear.. It’s nice to have you back.
.

Angelina ➡ Thanks ma.. If you all don’t mind.. I’d like to go into my room and rest. See you all later.

I grabbed luggage and went straight into my bedroom,.. I was surprised to see it was exactly the way I left it.. I threw my luggage and fell face first on my bed. I exhaled as I felt the softness of my bed. It’s sure good to be back, I sat up and looked out the window staring straight at Peter’s room.. His window was locked and from the looks of it.. He isn’t around and I don’t think I’ll be seeing him anytime soon. I slumped back to my bed afterwards and fell asleep.

A week passed since I returned back to Nigeria.. There wasn’t much for me to do, so I helped my mom and Peter’s mom with housework, when I wasn’t doing that, I would go around Abuja doing some sight seeing, the City has sure changed a lot during this six years.. One evening, while I was strolling around in Abuja Central park, I collided with Happiness at the place, she was really looking good and she’s an upgrade of her former self. After we had exchanged pleasantries, we began to catch up on lost time.
Happiness told me all about herself and it looks like she’s doing great as well, She’s a director of photography in the film industry, and one of the best in the country, she’s told me that she’s worked with Peter on numerous occasions, she asked if we were both seeing each other again and I simply told her no.

Happiness ➡ I thought you guys would always be together.. What happened?
.

Angelina ➡ Nothing.. It’s just that we’ve been apart for so long.. But it’s fine.. We’ve both moved on with our lives.
.

Happiness ➡ Well if you say so.. You sure made it Angelina.. You face is almost on every perfume brand, and your acting is tops.
.

Angelina ➡ Thanks.
.

While we were talking, A guy approached us confidently.. He was quite charming and has this air of pleasantness around him.

Collins ➡ Hey.. Good evening ladies.

Angelina ➡ Good evening..
.

Happiness ➡ Can we help you?
.

Collins ➡ No.. I just came over to say hi..especially to your friend here.. You’re Angelina Felix right?

Angelina ➡ Yes.. I am.
.

Collins ➡ Well.. My name is Collins Olufemi. I’m a huge fan of yours.

Angelina ➡ Thanks.. Anything else.
.

Collins ➡ Well, I’m a celebrity column writer and I was hoping to ask you out to talk more about your personal life and also perhaps get more acquainted.

Angelina ➡ Hmm, I’ll think about your offer.

CUT! CUT! CUT! 🎬🎬🎬🎬

Man what a hassle, Being a Producer is great but it’s has its worst moments.. Six years have passed since I graduated from the university and long walk to success wasn’t easy…
Francis took me under his wing and showed me the ropes in the film industry and guided me expertly into becoming a successful film producer. Francis wasn’t the only producer I hung out with, I was trained by other excellent producers… After three years of hærd work and prayer, I was about to do my other thing and I did it perfectly..
I’ve produced lots of film some of which I wrote myself, and some of these films have gained me credibility and fame in and out of the country.
Despite working hærd, I made sure I didn’t let my work get the best of me.. I’ve kept in touch with my family and friends, speaking of friends, Happiness and I met during one of my film projects, We exchanged pleasantries and talked about a lot of things.. We weren’t always together but we’ve managed to keep in touch.
I’ve also managed to keep in touch with Salim and the others we even org-nised a get together in order to meet.
We all came on the appointed day and we were all excited to see one another, we talked and laughed and joked about a lot of things.
Unlike me, Salim and the others took different career paths.. Salim was a international business man, Kevin was a manager in one of the petroleum companies and Michael was a HOD in the department of theater Arts in the university of Lagos.

Salim ➡ Ahh! Just look at is now…

Kevin ➡ Well, that’s life and we thank God for the blessing we’re getting.

Michael ➡ Absolutely.. Salim is more blessed than us.. The rascal is married.

Peter ➡ Seriously? Who’s the unfortunate gal? (Laughs)

Salim ➡ (laughs) F-ck you loser.. you know Aisha of our old class don’t you?

Peter ➡ Which Aisha?.
.

Kevin ➡ David’s ally of wickedness and cruelty.

Peter ➡ Oh yes.. You married that witch?
.

Salim ➡ Oh she’s changed.. She’s sensible now.. She’s even pregnant with my kid.

Peter ➡ Congratulations..

Salim ➡ Thanks by the way.. Are you still seeing Angelina?

As soon as I heard that, I kept quiet… It’s been long since someone asked me that… Ever since I shut her out of my life… I swore to keep it that way.. But I couldn’t.. Over the years I’ve been keeping tabs on Angelina, who was an international celebrity.. I was amazed with the number of things she could do.. When I saw her in a movie, I was totally impressed with her performance. My hate for her didn’t last long, I just forgave her and moved on with my life.. I was surprised when my mom told me that Angelina was still asking of me, she wanted us to talk but I didn’t want to.
I never gave Salim a reply to his question, They too sensed something was wrong and forgot all about the issue.

It was a shame how things ended between Angelina and I but I couldn’t keep hating for forever, so I decided to move on and forget about her… Before the Covid19 outbreak, Mr. Edward Francis’s friend introduced me to his daughter Bianca , who is also an upcoming actress, We got along and went on a few dates and then eventually fell in love with each other…
Bianca and I were very discreet about our relationsh¡p and respected each other professionally and individually.. Unlike Angelina, Bianca was choosy when it comes to people she hangs out with, she prefers hanging out with influential people and had extravagant taste of almost everything, she had no particular talent, except to dress magnificently to look good before people. She’s arrogant, full of pride and ego, her acting is quite good but she claims to think she’s a better actress and forces her father to persuade me to feature her in one of my top film projects.
The only good thing about her was her overwhelming generosity and sense of minding her business, but sometimes her feminine ego tends to get in the way.
Despite that we managed to keep our relationsh¡p steady, Believing that she was my Mrs. Right, I proposed to her at the beginning of January 2021… We wanted to have an engagement party but due to our work, we decided to wait a little while longer..

Presently , here I was in lagos in,side a studio feeling quite displeased with the performance of a certain actress that whom Bianca had recommended to take her place in a movie I was working on.. The actress was messing up big time, Bianca was supposed to be here but she ditched me last minute before the shoot to go on a shopping spree abroad… I hate it when she does that.. Fortunately, the movie had no production date, so I could produce it anytime I wanted.

Later that day, I decided to travel back to Abuja to relax for a while, I was done with most of my film projects so I decided to take a break.

Three hours later, I soon arrived in Abuja, I was lucky to catch a flight back home.. As soon as I left the airport, I took a taxi back to my parents house.
It’s been a while since I visited them.. I’d like to surprise them with my presence.. Minutes later, I arrived home, after I paid the taxi guy, I went in straight into the house…
My parents were playing a game of Chess when I walked in.. My mom rushed and gave me hug, while my Dad extended his hand for a handshake.
After exchanging pleasantries, we all sat in the living room and began to talk.

Wright ➡ Welcome back Peter..

Peter ➡ Thanks dad.
.

Jessica ➡ It’s nice to see you my son… You look tired.
.

Peter ➡ I am tired mom.
.

Jessica ➡ Well, you better relax then.. How’s work?
.

Peter ➡ Very stressful.. But it has it’s good moments.

Wright ➡ So is there anything more you want to tell us? I’d like to know more about the entertainment industry.

Peter ➡ Well, there’s nothing much to say.. But something wonderful happened.. I’ve finally met the woman, I’m going to marry.. I’ve proposed to her and she’s accepted.
.

Jessica ➡ WHAT??
.

I was surprised when I saw my parents reaction, I thought they were annoyed at me for not telling them but I was wrong.

Jessica ➡ Since when did this happen?
.

Peter ➡ A month ago.. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you but I wanted to surprise you both.
.

Jessica ➡ Well.. I’m surprised and disappointed.
.

Peter ➡ I’m sorry, look you’re going to like this lady.. Her name is Bianca. I’m sure she’s going to make a wonderful daughter in-law.
.

My mom didn’t say anything after that, She just hissed and left the living room, I was surprised cause I was thinking she was going to be happy for me, It was my dad that clarify the wh0le situation.

Peter ➡ I don’t get it.. Why is she angry?
.

Wright ➡ Well. You see.. Your mother has been planing to reunite you with Angelina.
.

Peter ➡ Is that it? Well Angelina isn’t here..
.

Wright ➡ No.. She’s here in Abuja.. She came home a month ago. Your mother was planning to surprise you but you surprised her in an awful way… Oh.. That remind me.. What happened between you and Angelina? Why did you stop talking to her?
.

Peter ➡ (sighs) What Angelina did to me was awful.. Even now I hate thinking about it..
.

Wright ➡ Tell me.. What happened?
.

I took a long deep breath and told my father everything… He listened attentively and as soon as I was done, he gave his opinion on the issue.
.

Wright ➡ Well that’s rough.. Any man would have reacted the way you did but my advice for you is to talk to her about it.. In fact I find this absolutely ridiculous.. I doubt if she did what you say she did.. If she indeed meant those words, she wouldn’t have asked about you… You should have seen her during her competition night.. She was so heartbroken and sad that you refused to show.. I’ve never seen a woman so sad like the way Angelina was.

Peter ➡ But sir …
.

Wright ➡ Listen.. Talk to her and find out if what she did is true or not.. I suspect there’s something amiss.

Peter ➡ Alright sir.. I will..
.

Wright ➡ Good! Come let me help you with your luggage.. I have to go calm your mom down before she throws a fit.
