*** EMILY ***

When Jeffrey left for the building one of those men saw him and pointed a gun at Jeff, I couldn’t take it so I s¢ræmed
then the kidnapper c@m£ to gr-ab me on my n£¢k pointing the gun at me.

Emily. Jeffrey s¢ræmed as he turned looking at me.

Don’t even dare take a step else I shoot her. The kidnapper threatened as Jeffrey walked to me but he didn’t listen to the threat the kidnapper gave then he kicked the leg of the kidnapper as he fell on the ground, he let me go. Jeffrey and the kidnapper struggled for the gun just then I heard a gun sh0t twice then I s¢ræmed
Jeffrey. I tried to fight the kidnapper but he pushed me then I fell and hit my head on the edge of a iron chair then everything went blank………

*** JEFFREY ***

When Emily fell down and hit her head on a metal chair,blood roll down the chair. I s¢ræmed then gave the kidnapper a heavy punch on his stomach as blood gushed out from his mouth .

You bastard,how dare you hurt Emily. I said as I gave him another punch holding my bleeding stomach then he dragged me in to the wooden building, I saw a bomb beside the door blinking I couldn’t go out because the kidnapper locked the door alre-ady then I fell on the ground feeling so weak. The only thought in my mind was that I have to find a way out of here because of my family I looked at the bomb it’s was remaining just 20mins for the bomb to explode then I stood up holding the wall for support and I saw a door behind, I walked to the door holding my stomach but the door was locked then I used my last strength to hit the door as I hit the door for the third time I fell with the door but the bomb exploded and everything went blank…..

***JOANNA ***

I was coming out to the sitting room a flower vase fell down and broke. I bec@m£ so anxious and nervous so I rushed downstairs opened the store that looks like a Car garage.

Joan what are you doing? Iris asked from behind.

Jeffrey is in danger Iris, plea-se help me with this. I said trying to push out the speed boat out of the store room.

About the vase,it’s all superstition. Iris said smiling.

No Iris something actually happened to Jeff I can feel it. I said as we pushed out the speed boat into the bank of water. I checked the engine everything was fine and it has enough diesel to take us to Manila.

But joan this ocean is so vast how are you going to know the direction to take and it’s risky in manila. she said feeling worried.

Don’t worry Iris,Aaron took me out once so I know the way to go and how to drive this thing. I said smiling.

*** IRIS ***

But joan have you forgotten Aaron said it’s risky to go to Manila now maybe polio and his men will be looking for us. I said nervously.

C’mon Iris it’s three months now we ran out from polio’s custody,we nee-d to see our family come what may. Joan said seriously.

But….. I said but Joan cut in.

No buts Iris so get in let’s go or are you not coming along? Joan asked staring at me.

Of course I am. I said and jumped into the speed boat immediately.

Put this hoodie on, we nee-d to be in disguise. Joan said as she put on the hoodie and sun gl@sses.

*** PAMELA ***

I was watering the flowers at my garden smiling hoping to see Jeffrey come back home with Joan and Iris, I was feeling so blessed. One of the maids ran to me to give me my cell phone.

Hello inspector. I said over the phone.

Good day ma’am, your pres£nt is nee-ded here at the hospital. inspector said .

Hospital, where’s Jeffrey? I asked curiously.

Mr Jeffrey is fine we just nee-d your pres£nt here at the hospital. inspector said.

OK I will be on my way there. I said and hung up. I rushed to my car and zoomed off to the hospital.

When I got to the hospital the police was surrounding everywhere.

Inspector where’s Jeffrey and my girls? I asked curiously.

We tried our best ma’am but we couldn’t find the girls, Emily got badly hurt ,she is been operated on. inspector explained.

Emily I thought she visited her dad? I asked looking confused.

*** GENERAL ***

No ma’am she entered into Jeff car boot. The inspector said.

What about my girls and Jeffrey? Pamela asked curiously as tears roll down her cheeks.

We lost Jeffrey ma’am that’s why we called you here to confirm if this is his b©dy. Inspector said opening the cloth wra-pped around a dead b©dy.

Jeffrey isn’t dead,this is not Jeffrey, my Jeffrey is not dead, nooooo. Pamela s¢ræmed crying heavily.

Pamela what happened? pempem asked as he rushed into the room.

Pempem they said my Jeffrey is dead but that’s not the b©dy of Jeffrey. Pamela said sobbing heavily.

Officer, Mrs Remirez confirmed that this is not the b©dy of Mr Jeffrey. inspector said over the phone.

OK sir ,my men will go back to the crime scene. the officer said and left.

What about Iris and Joan? Pempem asked almost in tears.

They couldn’t find them. Pamela said still sobbing.

*** PEMPEM ***

Inspector what happened at the crime seen? I asked patting Pamela ‘s back.

We heard two gun sh0t but before we could get there a bomb exploded and according to one of the kidnappers we caught, he said Jeffrey was in,side the building where the bomb exploded and Emily was bleeding uncontrollably. The doc said her chance of survival Is 45% she is in coma. Mrs Remirez confirmed that the b©dy isn’t Jeffrey’s so we will continue our search. inspector said and left.

Emily. I said as I sob uncontrollably with Pamela.

Pempem what have we done to deserve this? My daughters are missing, Jeffrey is missing and Emily is in coma. I nee-d to call Mr Santos. she said sobbing.

When I went to the island I couldn’t find Joan and Iris, I saw the store was opened the speed boat in there was missing. I knew they c@m£ to Manila so I used the opportunity to visit mum and interrogate her.

Mum I thought you broke up with polio. I shouted.

Why are you sounding like this my love, you are just coming back from London at least a peek will do. mum said smiling.

Mum plea-se answer my question. I barked.

I broke up with polio before I even met your dad. Mum lied.

Mum why are you lying? I asked furiously .

I’m not lying my love, I don’t have anything with polio. Mum said defiantly.

Mum what were you doing in polio’s be-d half n-ked at this time of the night. I said showing ph0tos of her and polio ma-king love. Her mouth flung open.

Mum you are cheating on dad and all this while I was angry with him thinking he was the one cheating on you and mum why did you ask polio to kidnap Iris and Joan? I asked still fuming.

*** STELLA ***

Answer me. Aaron yelled.

Aaron, joan took you away from me,all the special moments we would have spent together, Joan took it away from us that’s why I s£nt her away so she can learn her lessons. I said sobbing.

Mum,Joan have never done anything to you and I was the one visiting her,you should have punished me instead but what you did has its own consequences. I will be the one to punish you for taking the woman I love away from me and for cheating on dad. Mum I never want to see you ever in my life again. Aaron said furiously and walked out of my room.

Aaron don’t do this to me,mummy loves you so much. I s¢ræmed crying.

*** JOANNA ***

When we got home one of the maids told us that mum went to the hospital. Getting to the hospital I saw the police men everywhere then I asked one of them what happened.

Mr Jeffrey Remirez is dead and his wife is in coma. the officer said.

It’s a lie Jeffrey isn’t dead. I shouted and ran to the nurses in the waiting room.

plea-se where’s the room of Emily Remirez? I asked curiously.

Who are you to the patient? the nurse asked.

I’m her sister in law. I replied with tears rolling down my cheeks.

Her room number is 003 go straight then move to your left that’s where the room is. The nurse said then Iris and I ran to Emily’s room. When we got to Emily’s room mum and pempem was sitting beside her sobbing.

Emily was laying on that be-d lifeless tears just rushed down my cheeks uncontrollably.

Iris,Joan my daughters. mum said sobbing as she turned around and gave us a hvg.

*** IRIS ***

Seeing mum for the first time filled my heart with joy but the circu-mtances around us made everyone very sad.

Emily you have to get up from this lifeless be-d because Joan is back,you have to wake up for Jeffrey and Jr’s sake. Joan said sobbing bitterly.

Joan it’s ok. mum said patting her back.

Mum where’s Jr? I asked in a low tone.

Mr Santos took Jr with him, the situation around us is very bad , Jr can’t stay in the environment of sorrow. Our little baby Jr is happiness so we shouldn’t ruin that. mum said smiling and crying.

I miss Jeffrey and baby Jr so much. Joan said still sobbing.

Pamela. mummy called as she c@m£ into the room.

Emelia. mum said as she hvgged mummy.

Iris, Joan how are you?mummy asked in a low tone surprised about our pres£nce.

*** STELLA ***

I can’t afford to lose Aaron or Stephen. Joan will never be able to separate my family, I nee-d to call polio. I muttered angrily as I picked up my phone and called polio.

Hello polio, I nee-d your help. I said sounding furious.

What am I helping you with? hope it’s not about Iris or Joan? He asked.

Polio never told me he has a son but with who,? that must be a big secret of polio for not agreeing to help me. I muttered in my mind.

If polio isn’t helping me am gonna help myself so Joan get re-ady for me. I muttered out angrily.

I was on my way going home, I went throu-gh Aaron’s street as I was walking then something caught my eyes. Stella was speaking to one of those guys that kidnapped Iris and Joan so I moved closer to eavesdrop to their conversation.

Ma’am my colleague is in the police custody and he may spill the beans,we can’t take chances. He forewarned.

I want him deleted before 24hrs. I don’t want anyone to know am the one behind iris and joan kidnapping. Stella said and I flung my mouth open.

So Stella is the culprit. I muttered in my mind as I continued walking but I noticed he started following me with his car so I began to run but he succeeded in hitting me with his car,I fell to the ground and everything went blank.

*** JOANNA ***

What’s going on mum,firstly it was Iris and I, secondly it was Jeff and Emily now it’s pempem. What have we done to deserve this misfortune. I said sobbing as the doctor c@m£ to us.

plea-se doc how’s pempem? Mum asked sobbing.

He was badly injured in the head,am sorry but he’s going into coma. we will try our best to see what we can do. the doctor said and left.

Pempem who did this to you? Mum cried as she sat on the floor.

plea-se get up mum. Iris said sobbing just then the inspector c@m£ to us and some nurses took a guy in to the theatre.

Ma’am, Jeffrey is alive he has been found thankfully with this man’s help. inspector said and mum stood up with shock written all over her face.

Jeffrey. I cried out.

He’s been operated on in the theatre. inspector said.

Thank you inspector. I said smiling and crying.

You should thank this gentleman instead. inspector said pointing at the man beside him.

*** PAMELA ***

When the inspector said Jeffrey has been found I bec@m£ happy but my happiness disappeared after seeing the person that found Jeffrey.

Mr Jeffrey sustained so many injuries but I think the doctors can do there jobs. thank you so much Mr Simon. inspector said and left.

Pamela are this two beautiful girls my daughters? Simon asked smiling trying to t©uçh Joan.

Don’t you even dare l@yyour filthy hands on my daughter, you bastard. I barked.

Mum what’s going on here? Iris and Joan chorused.

Girls plea-se can you excuse the both of us. I said and walked out with Simon.
