“Hey buddy” I heard from behind and I turned to the person.

Jason.

“How are you bro?” I nudge his arm and he nodded.

“The decorations are really captivating” he glance around the wh0le hall with admiration.

“Yes,it is” I nodded in agreement as I also watch the men at work.

“You really can’t wait to confess your love to her right?” Jason teases and I chuckle lightly.

“To be sincere, I feel so nervous about the wh0le thing” I told him and he laugh.

“I understand it’s your first time Rodney, but you really have to do this before it’s too late” he advised as he place a hand on my shoulder.

“And you know, I still have my eyes on her” he teases with a smirk on his l-ips and I couldn’t resit the urge to hit his arm as we both laugh out loud.

“Uhmm.. Jason” I called after the laugh had subsided and he face me with a smile on his l-ips.

“Don’t you think you should come along with her friend also; I mean her coffee blondie friend” I suggested with raised brows and I watch as his smile turn to a frown immediately.

“Are you kidding me right now?” He asked obviously feigning annoyance and I bite my lower lip to stop myself from laughing.

“She doesn’t fit in Rodney and you know that” he said with an eye roll.

“Yes!..Joanna would definitely fit in right?” I asked with enthusiastic and he huffed.

“I’m outta here bro” he nudge my arm and turn to walk away.

I watch his back till he finally walks out of the hall.

“I hope he listens” I mumbled as I tucked my hands into my trouser pocket.

“You look so beautiful dear” Mum compliment for the tenth time as she stand behind me with her hands on my shoulder.

Yes.. I call her Mum; she had told me to call her Mum and I was so glad, I never felt that joy to have a mother before but ever since she comes into my life, I must confess my life is the definition of perfect life.

She’s a darling.

I look up at the mirror and smile at her which she also reciprocate sweetly.

The makeup artist had left a while ago-not after transforming my face to one hot pretty model.

I stand on my feet and turn to her.

“You look so pretty Mum,I’m jealous” I pout and she smile at me as she remove a loose strand of my hair from my face.

She is dressed with casual elegance.

“Uhmmmm…Mum you own tonight, I mean it’s your coming together party; so why do I have to dress this much? I questioned as I glance down at my red dinner gown.

“Of course we both owns tonight dear” she blurted and place a hand on her mouth.

Huh?

“What do you…”

“We are running late Mara” she said as she hook her arm with mine and I rolled my eyes.

“We are leaving without Rodney?” I asked mum as we both climbed down the last pavement.

“He’s at the venue already” she replied and I nodded.

Henry approached us and bow slightly.

“This way ma’am” he said as he gesture to the garage with his hand.

“Wow..this is amazing!” I exclaimed with so much ecstasy immediately I stepped out of the car.

This building was not built on this planet, probably it was imported or something;it marvels me.

“I agree with you” Mum said with a smile as she stand next to me.

Few people are already hanging around the building;
i just watch everything in absolute awe.

“Come on come on..let’s go in;the party has started” she urged me as she took my hand in hers.

The security men at the entrance door bow their heads in greetings; we just smile in return.

“Aunt” we heard behind us and we both turned swiftly.

She’s still alive?

She climbed up the two pavements and stand opposite mum.

“Good evening Aunt” she greeted politely.

“How are you Joanna?” Mum replied with a friendly smile and I scoff softly.

“I’m fine Aunt, congratulations on your coming together” she says and mum nodded.

“Thanks Joanna” Mum told her and turned to leave.

“I’m so sorry Aunt, I hope you can forgive me” we turned to her again and her gaze was on the floor.

Mum smile and walk to her figure.

“I heard everything when you had came to visit me in the hospital and I could sense how truly sorry you were” Mum told her and her eyes w¡dened.

“And I had forgiven you instantly” She added and her l-ips curved to a smiling one.

“Thank you so much Aunt” she said gratefully as she jumped on her.

Mum laughs softly and pulled away from the hug.

“Enjoy the party” Mum told her and she nodded curtly.

And with that, we finally stepped into the massive hall.

“Wow” I mumbled as I look around the elegant room.

“What took you guys so long?” I heard and came back from my fantasy thought.

Another “wow”escaped my mouth as I stare at this semi-god in front of me.

He’s clad in blue suit and his curly hair is gelled backward.

His black orbs watches me as we both stare hærd at each other.

“You can do that later you know?” Mum said making us realize we have been staring for so long.

Rodney looks away embarrassingly as he scratch his nape.

“My sweet fam” we heard behind us and we all turned.

Mr Michael.

“You are welcome Dad” Rodney says as he pecked his cheeks.

“Will you stop doing that in my wife presence?” Mr Michael cautioned as he turned to Mum with a smirk plastered on his l-ips.

Rodney just scoff which earn a small laugh from my mouth.

Is he jealous right now?

Mr Micheal placed a light feather k-ss on mum’s l-ips and I watch them with so much love.

How sweet..

“Good evening sir” I greeted with a bow immediately I notice his eyes on me.

“Is this really my Tamara?” Mr Michael asked unsure and I nodded with a smile.

“Wow.. wow you look so great my dear, come to daddy” he teases and I laugh before I walk into his opened arms.

“I can’t wait to have you as my daughter in-law”he whispered into my ear and my eyes dilated.

We both pull away from the hug and he wink at me.

“Enjoy yourself dear” Mr Michael says as he hook his left arm with mum’s.

Mum shot me a sweet smile as they both walk away.

The sound of piano echoes in the wh0le room which caught everyone’s attention as they all turned to the stage-including me.

Rodney is already on stage with a mic in his hand.

Is he really going to sing?

He started to sing slowly as we all watch and listen spellbound to his performance.

I could sense an hint of emotion in the song- one would know is trying to pass a message across to someone.

He met my gaze and gave me one of his rare smile which I couldn’t help but reciprocate in all way I can.

He stopped singing after some minutes and the wh0le audience cheers as they all applauded him.

“Thank you fam” he says to the mic before he gave it to a guy whom I assume is the MC.

He smiled and waved to the audience as he climb down the stage.

I watch him as he approach me with a smile on his face.

He got to where I am standing and I could feel all gazes on us.

He proffered his right hand to me and I furrows my brows.

“May I have this dance milady?” He asked sweetly and I smile and shook my head.

“I don’t know how to dance Mr” I declined as I swat his hand away playfully.

“Let’s give it a trial then” he says and without waiting for my response, he grabbed my hand and pull me to the stage.

Oh my goodness!

He place his right hand behind my back and brought my left hand to his shoulder as he pulled me to himself.

His eyes invaded mine as we both dance to the song playing in the background.

“You are beautiful” he says as he watches me with sincerity written boldly on his face.

I look away timidly and caught some couples dancing crazily on the stage which makes me smile broadly.

Funny!

I could feel Rodney stares on me all this while and gosh..
I can feel the heat.

“I love you” I heard him say and I could feel my heart thud.

Huh?

I turn to face him and caught his eyes on me.

“I love you Tamara”he says again and I gulped nervously as I watch his eyes.

We stopped dancing still not looking away from each other’s face.

He turned his back against me and walked up to the MC; he collected the mic from him and walked to the front of the stage.

“Can I have your attention guys?” He says to the mic and they all turned to him.

“Someone has stolen my heart, and she’s not ready to fred it” he announced and I could feel my beat tremendously as the audience murmurs to each other.

What’s he saying?

“Do you wish to know that only person that has succeeded in capturing my heart?” He asked and they all scre-med “Yes”

Oh Lord!

He walked up to my figure and go on his kneel which makes my eyes w¡dened as the audience “Awwwwn”

“Tamara, each time I remember the day I met you and how awful I treated you; I couldn’t help but detest myself” he started and I smile a little.

He still remember the day?

“And at the same time, I couldn’t get my heart off you. I couldn’t stop thinking about you each time I drink my coffee. You are just the best description of a real partner” he confessed and I could feel my heart gladden with tears rolling down my cheeks.

“I want to be the only man for you Mara, I want to take of you; so please will you be my girlfriend Tamara Wesley?” He throw the question to my face and I could feel my heart stop.

The audience scre-med “say Yes”; of course I can’t decline the only love of my life.

He slowly hold my hand and place his right hand on it tenderly as he watches me.

I finally nodded because I’ve lost my voice already.

He stand on his feet and slowly wiped my tears.

“I will be your girlfriend Rodney” I replied unable to control my tears.

He pulled me to himself and slowly entwined his l-ips with mine.

I heard the audience cheers loudly and we both smiled in between the k-ss.

I couldn’t help but cheer loudly to my friend’s happiness; I’m so happy for Tamara.

“You are being loud you know?” I heard beside me and I glance at the person.

He forcefully dragged me out of the coffee shop this noon, he took me to a boutique and bought a dress for me and did every other things within a twinkle of an eye.

He even hired a makeup artist to did some wonders to my face.

I asked him what was going on but he didn’t answer me until he brought me here to see for myself.

“What’s your headache huh?!” I asked eyeing him repeatedly.
“I’m happy for my only friend” I told him and he rolled his eyes.

“You are jumping as if you are Mara herself” he reminded and I scoffed.

“Hold on.. when are you ever going to find yourself in Mara’s shoes as well?” He sneered and I clench my fists.

“I have my own boyfriend” I retorted and he huffed silently.

“Cut the crap, you don’t look like someone that’s in a relationsh¡p” he winked at me and my eyes w¡dened.

“Catch me if you can blondie” he smirks as he run along.

I run behind him trying to catch up with him-cursing my heels silently.

“Alicia” I heard and I stopped running.

“Hey best,I’m so happy for you.” I rushed to her.
“You know,from girlfriend you turn to his house wife” I said dramatically as I place my hands on my chest and she smile broadly.

“I hope you have forgiven me” she says sadly as she lower her gaze and I chuckle lightly.

“Of course babes, I can’t stay mad at you” I smile at her and she look up.

“Thanks girlfriend” she says as she hug me tightly.
“You are the best”she added and I smile to myself.

“Hope your properties has been willed back to you?” I asked her after we have pull away from the hug and she nodded.

“Yes Alicia, Rodney and Jason really helped me a lot; I owe them most especially Jason” she replied and I smile.

Speaking of Jason, where did he run to?

“See you later” I pecked her cheeks and ran out of the hall.

I ran out of the hall in tears immediately Rodney confessed his love to her.

I can’t take it anymore.

I sit on a metal chair near the pool as I cry my eyes out.

All those years, Rodney never felt something for me.
But he met Mara few months back and he grown in love with her.

Love is crazy.

“Are you okay?” I heard but I didn’t spare the person a glance.

The person turned around and sit next to me.

Henry.

“What do you want Henry?” I asked calmly and he smile.

“You need someone to cheer you up Miss Joanna” he says and I rolled my eyes.

“No, thanks” I rejected him and I watch as he place his hands on his chin and watches me.

“What?” I asked him and he shook his head.

“You should stop thinking about him already, Rodney only sees you as his sister” he tutors and I frowned.

“And why are you telling me this?” I questioned and he chuckled.

“So you would notice some other guys out there” he says dramatically as he winks at me and I smile.

“Goodnight Rodney” I said as I made to stand up from his bed but he surprises me by pulling my hand back- making me lie on the bed again.

“You are sleeping here tonight girlfriend” he says he pulled me to himself and I laugh.

“Hope you enjoyed tonight?” He asked and I nodded in his chest.

“It’s the best day of my life thus far” I confessed and I heard him chuckle.

A short silence stepped in while I remain in his chest.

I could feel his heart beating so fast and I wondered why.

He slowly let his hand raid my back and I gulped nervously.

He made me lie on my back and lay on me.
What?

He place my sweaty hands on his chest and I swallowed hærd.

He pulled my night gown up a little as his hand m-ssage my bare th-gh which earn a light mo-n from my mouth.

Oh Lord
Is this really going to happen?

He uses his free hand to grab my b**bs and a gasp escaped my mouth.

“Do you want me to stop?” He whispered into my ear and I shook my head.

“No” I replied with a soft mo-n.
And without warning, he crashed his l-ips on mine as he k-sses me breathlessly.

“I love you Tamara” he said with so much sincerity after we unlocked from the intensed k-ss.

“I love you more my celebrity crush” I replied and we both erupted in a laughter.
