“You are a nobody, what? Do you think I will date a garbage like you? Oh my god!” she exclaimed laughing while my heart broke.

How could she say this hurtful words to me. I get the fact that am a nobody compared to her or what she has but it just hurt a lot coming from her.

I know all I have said might hurt her but I don’t care, she started it first.

“You aren’t worth it” Sam’s words flashed back into my mind which made me burst into tears.

“Fool, I did it for you” I said crying more.

“When you know that it will hurt you why did you fire him?” Mr Segun asked behind me.

“What do you mean, am not hurt” I said cleaning my tears.

“Even if you clean it, I know you are still hurt, so why did you do it?”

“Do what?”

“Fire him”

“I had to, Chris knows about Sam.”

“He said he will reveal everything if I didn’t let Sam go” I said crying more.

“That bastard threatened me!”

“I couldn’t stand the pain and the hatred Sam will pass through if the press and everyone finds out about him. I don’t think I can stand seeing him in pain!” I yelled.

Mr Segun came to me and hugged me, sometimes he is there for me not only as manager but also as a family.

“What is wrong with me?”

“Nothing is wrong with you, you have just finally grown up” he said and I disengaged from the hug and looked at him strangely.

“You are in love” he said with a tears streaked face.

He is right, am in love.
