CHAPTER 47

SKAI

“Where are we going ?” Kim asks as she held my hand tightly

“I thought I said it’s a suprise” i chuckle and gro-ns

“Mommy you know I hate surprises” she says and I roll my eyes

“Okay let’s go home then.. cause clearly you hate surprises so much” I say and try to turn but she didn’t allow me to

“But you know what ? Since it’s from you I think it’s going to be the best surprise ever” she says and I chuckle

Kim is such a drama queen

“Okay we are nearly there s up o just come here and let me close those eyes of yours” I say and she smiles before coming to stand Infront of my huge tummy

I put my hands on her face and took slow steady steps

“Ready?” I ask and she giggles “I was born ready” she says making me laugh as I take off my hands from her face

“Oh my god!” She scre-med so loud that I had to cover my ears

She ran to the pink motorsport car and ran her hands all over it

She’s been telling Tyler to buy her the latest motorsport but Tyler being his stubborn self said no

And I quote “You are too young to be demanding for cars young lady”

“Thank you mommy.. you’re the best” she k-sses my tummy and I laugh

“My friends are gonna be so jealous” she laughs and I gro-n

“So you wanted this car to make your friends jealous?” I ask and she bites her lower lip nervously

“Uhm no..yes.. I mean no” she laughs nervously

“Kim” I say warningly “Mommy I just wanted to have it. Last year daddy didn’t buy me a car. I mean I’ve been using the same car for three years now.So please don’t return it” she pouts cutely giving me puppy dog eyes

“Fine let’s go back home” I say grumply

“The car?” She looks at me hopefully and o chuckle

“Your personal guard will bring it” I say and she snaps her head at her personal guard ignoring mine

“IT better arrive with no scratch cause if it does. You are buying me a new one” she says dramatically and we all laugh

TYLER

“You are spoiling my baby Skai” I say for the million times

“When I remember clearly. She’s my baby too so I have every right to spoil” she winks before focusing on her laptop

It makes my heart melt that she considers Kim as her own child

“I know but that car will only make her more forward” I say and Skai doesn’t even spare me a glance

Since she has not been going to week for the last few months. She decided that she’ll start working at home

And it’s seriously annoying cause she doesn’t even give me attention

“You complain a lot babe. You’ll only end up having wrinkles” she says and I roll my eyes

Like seriously me growing wrinkles. I don’t see that happening anytime soon

I stand up from the bed and she raises her head

“Where are you going ?” She asks and I roll my eyes which is the style I’ve gotten from her

“I thought you didn’t care about my existence” I furrow my brows and she scoffs rolling her eyes

“Yeah whatever babe” she says and I laugh before walking into the bathroom

I just wanted to take a nice warm shower. I really deserve it after the long day I had

My l-ips stretched into a smile when I remembered that Skai will soon give birth

How lucky am I to find such an intelligent and loving woman

To think that she accepted Kim as her own child really makes me feel like this is all a dream

I soon switched off the water and wrapped a towel around my wa-ist

I walked out and ignored Skai stares while laughing inwardly

I made my way into the closet and slipped into some comfortable sweatp-nts and hoodie

I walked out to find Skai still focused on her laptop

“Babe” I gro-n

“What ?” She asks with a smile plastered on her face

“Can you take a break already” I say planting k-sses all over her neck while she mo-ned my name

“Daddy seriously you gotta stop k-ssing mommy too much.. it will affect the baby” Skai laughs while I shoot Kim who leaned on the door frame

“What did I say about knocking ?” I say warningly and she scoffs

“Dad you say a lot of things and by now you should have known that I never listen to them…by the way both of your parents are outside asking for your presence” she says and Skai and I exchange confused glances.Both of our parents ? What are they doing here ?

CHAPTER 48

SKAI

We walked downstairs holding hands with Kim in the middle

“Look how cute they are” Tyler’s mom says taking pictures

I’ve come to learn th at Tyler’s mom is a lively childish person

She’ll make you laugh till your ribs hurt. That’s just how she is

I look at both my parents who are smiling like they won billions of dollars

“Mom what are you guys doing here ?” Tyler asks her mom

“You know you got to stop being rude. How does Skai keep up with you. If I were her I’d have spanked your a** countless times” she says and we all burst into laughter besides Tyler who shrugs

I hug Tyler’s parents after greeting them and then go to mine

“What are you guys doing here ?” I furrow my brows and mom rolls her eyes

“Can’t we visit our daughter ?” Mom shrugs while I scoff. I’m not buying any of this. They just planned this for some unknown reasons

“Okay then where’s Kevin ?” I ask

“He went out of town with his friends. You spoilt him rotten with that Lamborghini” dad says

“It was a birthday gift dad” I gro-n out and he was about to talk when Tyler’s mom chirped in

“Family renuine I see but let’s get to the main reason why we came here” she says smiling at mom who smiled back

I knew they didn’t come here to just see us

“So we all know that Skai here is close to be put to bed and we are announcing that we’ll be staying here till that happens”mom says

“What!!

Tyler and I shouted at the same time

“No need for panicking. You won’t even notice we are here. We just don’t want to miss the moment”she says and I sigh

Them staying here is like a nightmare. I hate noise and Kim is already making enough noise

Oh god this can’t be happening

I stare at Tyler who stares back the furrow his brows

“Okay then. It’s not like we have a choice or something” I say heaving heavily

“But before you came..We were about to go to sleep so we are going to do just that

Tyler says and they all just shrug mumbling some words we couldn’t figure out

I k-ss Kim’s forehead. She didn’t even pay attention to me as she sat between her two grannies asking them silly questions

“This is the worst news ever”Tyler says and I chuckle

“You could say that again” I say as we climbed the stairs

TYLER

“Why are we taking a different route ?” Skai asks as I took the different stairs

“To have some fresh air” I say and she keeps quiet

We finally get to the balcony and she laughs

“Seriously the balcony” she laughs “Yeah ain’t it beautiful ?” I ask and she shrugs

“It’s beautiful but cold too”she shivers and I smirk

“Well I could be of help with that” I say as I hug her from behind

She relaxes into my body as we stare at the beautiful lights of the city

“Do you believe in wishing stars?” She suddenly asks and I chuckle

“Yes actually. I mean I wished to have a beautiful,s€×y and indepent woman. Here is she standing infront of me looking an angel”i whisper into her ears and she shivers

“Skai ?” I call after a few second of silence

“Promise me one thing” I say calmly and she sighs

“Anything for you” she says and I smile “Promise me that no matter what happens you’ll never leave me” I say and her body stiffened

“I…argh

She suddenly scre-med and I panicked

“Babe what is it?” I ask to find her crying profusely

“My water just broke Ty…my water just broke” she yells breathing heavily
