Episode 30
Bryan’s POV..
My eyes went w-t as my memory flashed through everything Rose mother said to me, every single words from her came repeating itself.
I felt shudders run through my spine as I remembered what she said about my father, my own father..
“He is being controlled by stronger force, I’m sorry he would be one of your enemy…”
These words seemed so deep to understand, my dad won’t allow me to be with Rose if he finds out about her voice..
What is all this about??..what has Rose even did to anyone to be treated this way, how would she have a great voice and would never be allowed to sing!!
Why??
I quickly picked my phone and put a call to my dad..
“Hello son, I hope there isn’t any problem right there??” His cheerful voice sounded..
“Dad, you are my problem, you are my pain..I thought you want the best for me!!..why are you this way???..do you know I may hate you!!!” I bursted out leaving him stunned..
“What are you talking about?” He asked confusedly..
“Dad, do you know she is the love of my life?..she is the only girl I want to be with forever…” I whimpered feeling terribly hurt,
I’m am emotional person, I easily cries when things hurt me, yes, I’m hurt to the core..
Why would my own father who should stand by me turn out to be one of the enemy I would be fighting to be with Rose..
“Son, you are in tears??..you are really crying??..what..what is happening??..which girl are you talking about?” He asked with a concern tone..
“Dad we need to meet and talk..” I breathed.
“See son, I had hope to see you very happy now, Sophia is returning to you, what is causing you all thus pain??” He asked leaving me gritting my teeth in anger..
“Dad what do you all take me for??..a fool?..a punk?..I don’t just understand!!!” I bawled with more tears falling off..
“Son, explain to your father what is troubling you?” He purred..
“Dad, you are just talking about Sophia returning, she is coming back to me after many month of shattering my heart into piece, she dumped me for Austin, no one could bring her back to me, she left me like nothing..now she is suddenly returning out of the blues, do you think I can accept that b***h!!..I can never accept that cheap whôre into my life!!” I seethed in anger and pain..
“Huh??..like seriously?..do you hate her now?” He asked making me scoff..
“Do I still need to love her, is she worth my love?..please dad, I’ve found my true love, I’ve found the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with!” I stated and I could sense a moment of shock from him..
There was silence over for minutes, what I just said seemed to struck him, he was speechless that I thought he had hung up but hell no!..he was still on the call but totally speechless..
“Dad why are you so shocked?” I asked and that seemed to bring him back to reality..
“Now I see, we really need to meet, I’d travel down there very soon, expect me In your house next week..” He said with a strong tone..
“I’ve many question for you, I got to find out that you had been hiding many secret from me, you have been doing things in that dark!” I muttered with a heavy breath.
“Son, I don’t know whatever you heard, just wait till I come, there shouldn’t be any way you would fall in love with another lady, who else has a great voice like Sophia…” He mumbled
“Is there really no one??” I asked
“Bryan!!” He called suddenly
“Huh?”
“Have you met any girl who has a unique voice than Sophia??” He asked with a strong tone different from the one he had been using to talk with me..
“See dad, when I said I fell in love with another girl, I never mentioned she has a great voice than Sophia, she can’t even sing but I love her that way” I said and he sighed..
“We both know that your girlfriend must have a great voice like you so I think you have no choice than to accept Sophia this time..” He said leaving me sad..
“Dad, after she did all that to me, I should still accept her?..is that what a father should advice his son to do?” I said and was left shocked at what he replied..
“Sophia would always be your girlfriend even if she breaks your heart, you have no choice than to accept her wh0leheartedly”
My phone dropped off my grip, I was just too shaken,
Something didn’t seen alright with my Dad,
What does he mean that I don’t have any choice than to accept Sophia?
I couldn’t tell him about Rose voice because of what Rose mother said, I would wait till he comes back, something is really fishy..
My dad still wants me to be with Sophia, he doesn’t want me to be with any other lady, but why??
What relationsh¡p does he have with her??
Or..could it be Sophia father??
Could it be that Sophia father is the one controlling my father??..is that why Rose mother suddenly mentioned about Sophia when talking about Rose and me??
I think no other person knows of these secret except Rose mother, I really need to meet her urgently..
“Bryan..you look tensed, something is really wrong some where, can you tell me?..or..are you still thinking of how to handle Sophia return?” Rose asked walking into my room,
I glanced at her and felt so bad, she looked so innocent, there shouldn’t be any reason for her to be harmed, she isn’t a bad person, why would anyone even think of hurting her??
“You aren’t saying anything, Bryan, don’t hide anything from me..please” she begged and sat beside me on the bed..
She held my palm softly looking into my eyes..
“I have not seen Bryan so disturbed like this before, what could be freaking you out??..I’m I the reason why you are restless??..maybe I should leave your life right?” She asked with a sullen tone..
“What are you talking about?” I asked with an arched brow..
“Its obvious that you started becoming disturbed since you accepted me especially after I sang, I don’t know what it is really but..I think I shouldn’t be troubling your free life” she sobbed..
“If you ever leave me then, I would die of heartbreak, don’t ever think of that..I’m troubled because of the secrets your mother is hiding” I said and she arched her brow at me..
I sighed and brought out the letter her mother wrote, I had hide it under the drawer..
“I’m sorry for lying to you, this is the letter your mother wrote, the letter Clara brought to you” I said and handed it to her..
Her eyes w¡dened as she read the content..
“Someone would…kill..me and..my mother???” She asked with a quivering l-ips, her hand went shivering in shock, I could see pure fear in her eyes…
“I thought it was something I could handle not until I met your mother, she told me things that threw me aback..that was why I couldn’t let you meet my manager, I can’t endanger your life” I breathed bending my head in hurt..
“Bryan..so..I won’t sing??..so, I can never..sing for your band..” She whimpered placing her hand on her chest as she sobbed bitterly..
Rose’s POV..
“Rose, I would find a way out, I would fight that person who want to hurt you, trust me!” Bryan said but I couldn’t listen..
I could only feel sadness clouding my heart, it is clear that I won’t sing anymore, someone is waiting to hear my voice so he would track me down and kill me with my mother, this is the reason why my mother doesn’t want me to sing..
Ohh, but why is my life this way??..now I didn’t sing for Bryan’s manager, I didn’t sing in the music industry, that simply means Sophia would still be the female singer in Bryan’s band..
Oh God!!
Why???
“Bryan, I need to go back home, my heart is being shred right now, so at the end, you would still sing with Sophia and not me!!” I sniffed..
“I’m not singing with her!” He snapped
“You have no choice..I don’t even think I can stay here and watch the both of you, maybe I should….” I couldn’t finish my word before shut my l-ips with his finger..
“I would rather sing with you or end my music career, don’t give up on me..Sophia is nothing now!..I heard that she would be returning next week, please stay by my side and let her burn in jealousy and envy..” He pleaded..
“But Bryan, I worth nothing without singing!” I said and he smiled..
“Look at you, silly girl!..when I fell in love with you, did I know about your voice?..even if you have the most croaky voice, I still love you..so please, there is still a way for you to sing” he said and I gazed at him sharply..
Really??
“If that man after you is caught, that means you would be free and can sing with me, your mother has some secrets to tell, we can fight together and bring down the enemy, don’t give up please!” He pleaded holding my palm softly..
I couldn’t help the smile that escaped my l-ips, Bryan’s words sounded so soothing, I can’t believe he is ready to fight for me.
“You had always save me and my mom, I trust you, let’s fight together..” I breathed grinning as I stare at the cute idol Bryan..
“Sophia broke my heart and left me, please help me put her to shame this time, she won’t expect me to have another girlfriend, stay here with me and make her regret coming back” he said and I couldn’t help laughing..
“Yes my lord, no more space for Sophia!” I squeaked
“Oh yes!.. I have Rose only, please who is Sophia?” He asked squinting his eyes in a funny way that I couldn’t help laughing..
“So Bryan, even when I can’t sing to the public, I would always sing for you only, I would sing with you in your private studio” I said making him smile..
“Oh yes, I can’t get enough of those voice, let’s go and eat something as we wait for Sophia” he said grabbing my hand in laughter..

Bryan’s POV..
The school bell finally rang for closure after what seemed like eternity, you can’t tell how anxious I am to meet Rose mother..
“Let’s go immediately” I said to Rose before we head out..
After some minute drive, we reached Rose’s house in the slum..
“I’m sorry for dragging you into this poor place” she mumbled making me smile..
“Its just a matter of time, your life would change, I would help you both out of this mess” I muttered with a wide smile..
“I trust you..” She winked and held my hand as we head in..
“Who I’m I seeing??” Rose mother squeaked in joy as she hugged Rose tightly..
I sat at the side watching the happy moment of mother and daughter…
“You really kept your promise, my daughter is finally here after many days” she smiled..
Oh yes, we are here for the truth, don’t you think we need to know everything?” I said and she sighed..
“Yes mom, I know you don’t want me to sing because of a so-called man who would hunt us if he hears my voice, but why??..tell us what all this is about please..” Rose begged with a whining tone..
“Before you both came here, I had decided to say all the secret I had been hiding..sit and listen..” She said and we all settled down..
“Bryan just listen carefully…” She said and I nodded..
“…Your father was my lover, we were both in love that we couldn’t do without each other…but it all turned sour when Sophia father came in, he claimed he wanted me but I really hated everything about him so I rejected his proposal, your dad was a calm and gentle man who hates fight, he couldn’t fight Sophia’s father, well, I wasn’t ready to give in to that monster, so he made me this way, because of his wealth and power, he reduced me to this poor and wretched woman I am..” She paused and sniffed..
“He later got married to another woman after shattering my life leaving me poor, but, I really thought your father would come to my aid one day, I waited in patience for your dad to come back to me but he never came, instead he also got married to another woman, well, I also got married to a tout who later left me and Rose and ran away..
“Rose grew up to have the most beautiful voice ever heard, I was so happy that she got the voice, I was so happy that my daughter would sing and become rich, my joy knew no bound when she met you, I felt on top of the world, you fell for her and her voice..
It was all going fine between you both until you took her to the music industry to sing with you, everyone was stunned to hear her voice..you couldn’t do without her, not until Sophia father came in again..
He has a daughter named Sophia and he wanted her to be the one with you..
When your father found out that I was Rose mother, he became so determined to make you both together but..
I don’t really know what happened, it was just like a dream, like a nightmare, it happened so quick..
“Sophia’s dad stormed in here and beat me up, he grabbed Rose and inject her with a substance which made her forget about you, I heard he also did that to you, I was so sad that I ran to your father to cry but met the shock of my life,
I saw him signing a betrothal deal, the doc-ment stated that you must marry no other woman than Sophia, I don’t know why your dad did that but..I guess he was threatened or something..when you woke up with the memory of Rose washed away, you heard Sophia sing and fell for her because you thought she was that lady who sang for you in the past, you thought she was Rose…” She concluded and wiped the tears in her eyes..
“So Sophia’s dad is the force controlling my dad, so he is the man that would kill you and Rose if she sings?” I asked with my heart heavy..
“Yes, he warned me sternly, i can’t fight him, I don’t know who can, he has so many powers all over the country, although he doesn’t know how Rose looks like but he knows her voice, he would find her with her voice, please don’t just sing with her In the industry” she pleaded leaving Rose in tears..
“I’d meet my dad soon, I’m sure to work this out, you can help me, we can all do this, Rose won’t sing for now till I bring down Sophia’s dad, trust me, I would do all I can..” I said with a deep breath..
“Please be careful, don’t let her to be harmed, I trust you” she said and I smiled before cuddling Rose to my chest..
“We would be leaving now, thanks for telling us the truth..” I smiled and she nodded before pecking Rose..
“Just be careful, and you Bryan, don’t leave her like your father left me, if you can’t stand by her to the end, please don’t give her hopes, you can break up now” she said to me with a slow tone..
“Okay..I promise..”
Rose’s POV..
“Bryan, I’m just pained and angry right now, is this how I should live??..why should someone else control my life!!” I snorted angrily as we drove home..
“But why is Sophia’s dad bent on having me marry that spoilt child of his??..I feel he has an interior motive..” He sighed..
“Well, he must be the one to send her back to you, I think we can unleash the wrath on his daughter” I hissed burying my face into my palm..
“She shouldn’t try coming back because I would make her regret it..” He growled and swerved into the compound..
We both stepped down and head to the porch which was surprisedly open, the maids won’t leave the door open for any reason..
“Does it means that Sophia is back?” Bryan muttered making me glance at him sharply..
Really???
Just then, we walked in and to my greatest surprise, Sophia was sitting on the couch with a wine in her hand, the maids and cook was all lying on the floor as she placed her leg on their back…
What????
Immediately we stepped in, she turned her gaze to us and a wide smile crossed her l-ips as she saw Bryan..
“Oh, Bryan!!!!!!!” She scre-med and ran to hug him but was shocked as Bryan shoved her off..
“Bryan what is happening?” She asked in surprise..
“Please who are you??” He asked with a deep scorn
Sophia’s POV..
I stared at Bryan intently trying to understand if he was joking, I also glanced at the other girl beside him..
I guess she must be Rose..
“Bryan stop these prank, this is your Sophia here..” I squeaked with a wide smile but he took the girls hand and drew her closer..
“I know you are Sophia but I just wonder what you think you are, I just hope you don’t still see me as your boyfriend because I now hate you!” Bryan seethed leaving me shocked to move or talk…
He held Rose wa-ist and head upstairs after releasing the maids and chef..
Is this really happening???
