I watched as Lia tongue lashed Alex.. whoa!!.. I never thought Lia could defend herself, and Even make the almighty Alex cry. I smiled and rushed after her..
“Oh my goodness, Lia that was awesome but a little harsh though” I said looking at her
“Yeah, right” she mummured handing her bag to Tiana,
“Lia, what’s wrong?” I asked pulling her to a stop
“I.. I don’t know Mildred, as much as I hate to admit it, I don’t think Alexa deserves that kind of embarrassment publicly, I know she acted like a b*tch..”
“That she is” I cut in, while she rolled her eyes and continued
“How would you feel if someone insulted you publicly Milly?” She asked tilting her head a little to the left
“Well it can never happen, and even if it does, which I know it won’t.. I won’t rest until I deal with that person” I replied
“Exactly, now you see what I’m talking about, I can’t help but feel like I’ve added fuel to a burning fire” she said sadly
“Seriously? Don’t tell me you’re feeling bad, cause Alexa should be the one feeling that way, i mean she started it, she tried to humiliate you but you showed her that you are not a lady to be messed with.. and she certainly got served” I said looking into her grey eyes, she looked at me for a sec and nodded her head
“You know, you do have a point” she said pointing her index finger at me
“Of course I do, why else was I talking?” I asked
“She started it and I only did what I thought was right, by paying her with her own coin” she said ignoring my question
“Exactly, now you’re talking” I said nodding my head
“Yeah, she thought I was a chicken” she said looking at me
“Well she was wrong” I stated
“Yeah, I’m not a chicken, she’s the chicken” she added
“There you go girl.. you’re getting it” I half yelled, she smiled and suddenly frowned a little..
“What now?” I asked
“I still feel bad Milly” she said blinking her lashes,
“Way to spoil the fun Lia.. come on let’s go” I said rolling my eyes
“I’m gonna go apologize Mildred, I’ll be back in a sec” she rushed and turned to leave..
“What!.. are you crazy? You’re not gonna do that, not now not ever” I said holding her hand
“Mildred please, just let me go” she pleaded
“No way! Tyler help me drag her out” I said
“Please guys” she whined
“Let’s go Lia” I said as we dragged her out of the complex..

We walked into the complex with Tyler and Tia behind us, Herrick was already waiting with his assistant, he smiled immediately he saw me..
“Wow, I finally get to see the new beauty queen, it’s so nice to see you Amelia Woods” he said k-ssing my cheeks
“Same here Herrick” I replied with a smile
“Miss best body, it’s nice seeing you again darling” he said giving her a peck

He shook hands with Tyler
“And I guess you’re her assistant, beautiful?” he asked looking at Tia
“Yes I am” she replied smiling, he smiled and pecked Tia, who was obviously drooling over him, I couldn’t help but notice the scowl on Tyler’s face, I chuckled and gently Pat his back,
“You better Pop the question before it’s too late” I whispered and he smiled lightly.
“So uhm, let’s get down to business.. we’ve a family dinner to attend” Mildred said smiling

The make up artists were busy adding different items on my face,rangeing from eye brows to contours to highlights to l¡pstick and so on, for the past 1 hour I’ve been glued to the chair, clad in a nude b-ra and tight..I guess facial shoots take a lot of time..
Mildred walked in smiling as the hairstylist was putting little touches on my hair, she gasped when she saw my face..
“Oh my gosh Lia!! You look so beautiful and a little older than your age” she said smiling sheepishly
“What! Are you serious?” I asked
“Yeah, you look older but in a good way though” she replied.. I frowned and rolled my eyes, she chuckled and smiled
“Was just kidding. You look amazing” she whispered

“Garlic?.. why?” I asked looking at madam Eleanor.. she was asking me to add as much gallic as possible in one of the dishes for dinner..
She rolled her eyes and placed her hand on her head frustrated
“So I can find out something” she stated simply
“What?” I asked again
“Something” she replied
“Eleanor is there something you are not telling me?” I asked
She looked at me for some seconds, contemplating if she should tell me or not
“Fine!” She breathed out and closed her bedroom door
“Amelia is coming, and I want to know if she’s really .. Jane” she said looking at me
“But I don’t see how that is related to garl…. Oh now I get it, Jane is allergic to garlic, wow.. that’s a smart one Ellie” I said smiling

I have never been so humiliated in my life, I rushed into my suite and fell on the floor crying, Hilda rushed in and slowly closed the door
“Alex.. it’s okay, don’t cry please” she said dropping her bag on the couch
“Are you serious?, Did you see what that little brat did to me? Did you see the embarrassment she caused me?” I asked wiping my tears angrily
“I did Alex, but you don’t have to stress yourself because of her.. you said it yourself, she is nothing compared to what you are Alex and she’ll never be” she said cleaning the tears from my eyes
“Really? I don’t think so Hilda, she’s right..she’s way better than me, I mean everything she said was true, and the most painful of them all is that Sky is gonna get married to her, Hilda we both know how much I love Sky, I can’t sit back and watch him get married to that thing called Amelia.. I can’t” I choked as tears kept streaming down
“There’s nothing you can do about that Alex, as your friend I’ll advice you to focus on your career, especially now that Amelia is gonna be an international model, forget about Sky and move on” she said looking at me
“I can’t forget him Hilda, I never will, I’ll get Skyler back!! I don’t care how I’m gonna do it, but he’s never gonna get married to that gold digging b*tch.. he’s mine and mine alone!! If getting him back means quitting my career, then I’ll readily do it” I said sternly..
“Oh no.. you don’t mean that Alex, you don’t, I think you need to rest now.. come on let’s go upstairs, it’s gonna be okay” she said pulling me up..
My mind is made up, I’ll tear Sky and Amelia apart, no matter what happens they’ll never get married..

“Yes, I want you to be our new brand ambassador” he replied
“Really?” Tia asked
“Yes of course, Scarlett will be signing you by next month” he added
“Awwn thanks Herrick, this is the best news I’ve heard today” I said giving him a light hug
“No problem, oh and lest I forget, I’ve already transferred your pay..” he said.
“Yeah I received it” Tyler said sternly
“Nice and I have a little something for you, it’s my little way of saying thank you for a job well done” he said and nodded to his assistant, who handed a medium box to Tia..
“Thanks sweetheart” I said and hugged him
“You’re welcome darling” he replied
He talked to the others briefly and we all walked outside to the garage.. Tia kept the box in my car and drove out with Tyler,
“So, where to?” Mildred asked
“Skyler’s office” I replied
“Why?” She asked
“He asked me to come, said he wants to go home with me” I replied as I drove out of the garage

I was rounding up some doc-ments on my table, when the door suddenly opened.. revealing Lia’s beautiful face, she smiled and walked in with Mildred behind her
“Hey baby” she said cheerfully with her hands spread wide open for a hug.. I stood up and hugged her tightly..
“My love, you look so beautiful” I said withdrawing from the hug
“Was I not beautiful before?” She asked faking a frown
“You are always beautiful baby always” I said and k-ssed her lightly, she held my shirt and pressed deeper..
“Uh hhum” Mildred cleared her throat, I chuckled and unlocked
“Hi Sky” she said sitting on the couch
“Hi Mildred, how are you?” I asked sitting on my chair while Lia sat on my legs..
“I’m good.. so are you done?.. can we leave now?” She rushed
“Uhh, yeah.. let’s go” I said
I stood up and Lia carried my suit jacket.
We walked to the garage and I asked one of my guards to drive my car, since Lia was so bent on driving me home…
I sat in the front with her while Mildred sat at the back, Lia slowly drove out of the complex, but the moment she drove into the highway, she started driving crazily.. I couldn’t stop complaining, she even lost the guards..
“Lia!! Slow down and decrease the volume” I yelled, since the music was too loud
“But I like it this way” she yelled back..
I rolled my eyes and quickly switched off the music.. she glared at me and Mildred started laughing..
“Is this how you have been driving?” I asked looking at her, she kept quiet and continued driving.. I looked at mildred who was still laughing
“She’s even slow now.. you should have seen the way she was driving this morning, she was practically flying” she said smiling
“What!!.. Lia are you crazy?.. what if something had happened to you? Huh?” I asked looking at her
“Well it didn’t” she muttered
I sighed and shook my head
“I’m getting you a driver” I said
“What?.. why? I can drive myself” she protested
“Yeah right.. just so you know, I can’t sit peacefully in the office knowing that my fiancee is flying over cars on the road okay?” I said looking at her
“But ..” she started
“You’re getting a driver Lia and that’s final” I said quietly she glanced at me and nodded
