The music plays as Fred wept bitterly with a broken heart,he never in his life imagine a day like that will come,he never imagine that the one his heart beats will end up breaking his heart into pieces like a broken mirror,he couldn’t believe all that happened rather he thought it’s all a dream and wishes to wake up from the nightmare.

“No! You can’t do this to me Eva! No!
He cried out and even hit his hand on the wall tiles.

The worker gathered around watching their CEO crying out of heart break,Fred cried lavishing all his pains on the wall,his secretary managed and took him back to his office.

Eva came downstairs feeling so bad for broken up with Fred.

“Bestie!
She said In tears and hugged her.

“Bestie am feeling for him,he looks so heart broken”
She cried.

“I knew it will not turn out well and you shouldn’t have broken up with him rather you should have inform him about Anne then fight for your love”
She said.

“No Sophia, broken up with him is the best decision,I know is not easy to forget about him but I will move with my life and try everything possible to forget about Fred”
She said.

“Eva is so simple to say but very difficult to do because we can’t kill the feelings and what the heart wants is what it’s want”
She said.

“I will forget about him,let’s go”

“Okay as you say but let’s see how it goes then because I know very well that it’s very difficult to kill someone’s feelings”
She said.

They got a cab and drove back home.

Fred has been try to reach Eva on phone but couldn’t reach her, Eva keep on ignoring his call.

“Answer the call Eva and tell Fred that you didn’t mean all that you said you were only pulling his eyes and nothing more”
Sophia said to her as the call came in again.

“No Sophia,I can’t do that it’s over between us”
She said.

“Bestie can’t you see that the poor guy is suffering, please you need to talk and explain everything to him”
She keep insisting.

“Am not gonna do that Sophia so stop insisting please”
She said,in,side of her she is feeling so hurt too but she keep on pretending that she is fine with break up.

Fred tired again and the answering machine said to him,
📞 The person you are calling is not answering,you can record your message In voicemail”

📞My love what’s going on? Where have I gone wrong? How did I offend you? Please my love come back to me let’s talk things out,a life without you is meaningless, please tell me that all you said to me was a joke you didn’t mean any of it, please answer my call let’s talk”
He said in tears.

She cried out and hugged her.

“Mother did you think I can move on and forget about Fred In my life?
She asked In tears.

“For sure my child,you can move on and forget about him beside your love for him will bring you nothing but suffering because you two are not meant to be together in a matter of time you will forget that someone like Fred once exited In your life”
She said car×ssing her hair.

“Mom I need to be in my room”
She said.

“Okay my daughter, everything will be fine”
She said.

Eva went to her room lied on the bed with tears rushing down from her eyes like a stream it was not easy for her to handle.

She picked her phone and listened the voicemail in tears.

“Fred am sorry for breaking up with you,you are so caring,loving and wonderful to have as a life partner but the obstacle surrounded with our love won’t let us be,I know it’s very hærd for me to move on and forget about you but I will try and I also pray in my next world I wish to have someone like you In my life”
She sobbed badly.

Fred sent her another voicemail,
“You said our love for each other will conquer any obstacles that befall us now what’s going on? Life without you is like a broken pencil, there’s no point please we pick my call let’s talk”
She listened In tears and Fred’s call came in again,
“I have to try and forget about you Fred”
She said and switched off her phone.

Fred came back home meanwhile his mother has heard the news through the secretary.

“Fred honey what am I hearing about Eva breaking up with you?
She asked being so worried about her son.

“Mom where did you get that news from? Who told you that Eva broke up with you?
He pretended with a question.

“Don’t lie to me Son! The secretary told me about it and you looks so pale like someone that has been crying”
She said.

“We didn’t break up Mom,we only had a misunderstanding and nothing else”
He lied.

“A misunderstanding that leads to break up? What happen Son? talk to me ,Why did Eva broke up with you?
She said.

“I said we didn’t break up,I need to be alone Mom”
He said and went up to his room.

“My son is really hurting in,side but I don’t understand why Eva broke up with him,they love each other so much,what could cause the break up? I need to send for Anne to talk to him”
She said.

She called Anne and told her to come over and talk to her bestie that he is not feeling too well.

He cried out.

Anne came in,side his room and he rushed and hugged her,
“Anne my heart is breaking into pieces, my life is tiring apart”
He cried out.

“No Fred! Your life won’t tire apart, What happen? Why are you like this?
She asked as she consoled him.

“Eva broke up with me Anne!
He said In tears.

“Oh my God! Eva did that to you? but why did she broke up with her? What was her reason of doing that?
She asked seem to be surprised but in,side of her Is dancing with so happiness.

“Anne I don’t know,I know I have been a good boyfriend to her and I know I have not done anything bad to her,I don’t know why she choose to do this to me,I have been calling her but she is not answering I don’t know what to,Eva is the love of my life and loosing her will make my life meaningless”
He cried out.

“Fred I told you that she is not good for you that her true color,her true behavior will show up one day but you took my sayings as a mere thing now you have seen it”
She said and sat him down on the bed.

“Am happy and sad,did you know why? am happy because you have found out that she didn’t love you as she claims, she only want to use and play with your feelings like a football and am sad because you are heart broken for falling in love with the wrong person,I knew it she never love you for one bit”
She said and wiped his tears with her palm.

“I know my Eva loves me so much because our hearts beats for each other but what I don’t understand Is what made her to end our beautiful relationsh¡p,you know I was about to propose to her now she has torn my heart apart”
He cried out.

She rest his head on her shoulder and car×ssing his hair,
“Thank the Lord that you didn’t later propose to her before she reveled her real self,Fred you have to move on and forget about Eva because you too are destined to be”

“How can move on and forget about the one my heart yawns for,the one my heart beats for? Anne I don’t think if I can forget about Eva, she has stolen my heart”
He said.

“Fred no one have stolen your heart okay,am here for you and I will help you to forget about her to forget about that someone like her ever exited In your life”
She said car×ssing him and calming him down until he fell asleep.

She lay him down and covered him with the duvet,she pecked him on the forehead before using the door.

“How is he doing?
Fred’s Mom who has been so worried and eager to hear about his son”s condition asked.

“Mom he is at sleep now,it was not really easy to calm him down”
She said.

“Did Eva really broke up with him?

“Oh yes she did,he didn’t tell you about it?

“He did not,I only heard it from his secretary”

“Mother Fred is really hurting,I feel for him so much”
She said shooking her head.

“This is unbelievable! How could Eva break up with him? I thought they are life partner,I even accepted her In as my daughter In law not knowing she didn’t love my son enough”
She sounded.

“Mother it shocked me too well thank the Lord that she break up with him earlier because he was planning to propose to her,what we need now is to try and make Fred to forget about Eva because she is not worthy to be his life partner”
She said.

“Yeah you are right,you will personally make him to forget about that daughter of a bitch”
She said angrily.

“Mother It’s getting late I will be going now”

“Okay dear,my regards to your parents”

“Okay Mom,I will come tomorrow”
She hugged her and also pecked her on the cheek.

Anne went out,she got into her car with so much happiness.

“Why did that bitch broke up with him? could it be that she knew I was the one that wanted to kill her,? but why didn’t she report me to Fred then breaking up with him? well I don’t care what matters now is for me to try and make Fred fall in love with me now that Eva is out of the way,am so happy that I will be having him all to myself”
She said with a self satisfied smirked face and drove out.

Fred contacted Sophia for them to meet at the restaurant Sophia works for.

“Sophia being Eva’s best friend I know that she tells you everything and am dying to know what I did to her that made her to break up with so that I will apologize to her”
He said.

Sophia breathed and said,
“Fred to tell you the honest truth I don’t know why Eva broken up with you,it confused me too and I have asked her a thousands of times her reason of doing that but she refuses to tell me”

“It seems like a nightmare to me,I slept off last night and wake up this morning to found out it was all a reality, I can’t bear to loose her am dying to see her please convince her to see me so that I can ask for her forgiveness,I love Eva so much and my heart keeps on beating for her, she no longer pick my calls nor return back my messages, please help me to talk to her”
He said and wanted to cry.

“No Fred! You don’t have to do this here,I will try and talk to her and hopefully she will see you”
She said feeling so bad for him.

“Sophia you are the only hope I have now,I don’t want to loose Eva”

She tapped his hand softly and said,
“I will try my best to convince her okay,I will like to go back to my work”

She said him and said,

Boboy asked.

Eva narrated her reason of breaking up with Fred to him.

“So that’s why I have to end the relationsh¡p,I don’t want die nor loose my mother out of love”
she said.

“Breaking up with him is not the best solution,you should have inform Fred about her then allow him to handle everything”
He said.

“If I report her to Fred it meant turn out so badly and I don’t want to risk my life nor the life of my mother”

“I still think you should have inform him first then breaking up with him knowing fully well you can’t kill your feelings for him”

“Boboy I know it’s hærd to do but I will try,is time for lunch I need to go and prepare lunch”

“Okay,did you need any help?

“Nope! you know I don’t like assistance whenever am in the kitchen”
She said with smiles.

He smiled and said,
“I know chef Eva”

“Lunch will be ready within an hour”
She said and walked to the kitchen.

“It seems my wish is coming to reality,am happy that Eva broke up with Fred because I have been In love with Eva for a very long time but she happened to be in love with Fred and I never kill the feelings I have for her but rather hope for a day like this to come now I have to take my chances in making Eva to forget Fred so that I will make her mine”
He said with smiles and went up to his room.

It has been one week since Eva broke up with Fred and since that day Fred has not gotten the chance to talk to her but he keep on trying to reach her even going to her house but yet he won’t see her.

“Eva I will be going back to the city(New York) next week”
Boboy said.

“You want to leave me again Boboy?
She asked sadly.

“Not at all,I was thinking you should come with me then we will plan on how to achieve your biggest dream of becoming a chef”
He said with smiles.

“That’s a good idea but the problem is my mother I can’t leave her all alone”
She said.

“Your mother can come and stay with me”
Mrs Power said.

“What did you say Boss?
She asked to be sure if she heard correctly.

“Bring your mother over to my place,you know very well that like you and I will be happy to help you to achieve your dream of becoming a chef and owe your own restaurant so going to New York will make you to achieve that”
Mrs Power said.

“Boss I have to think about it”

“Okay think about and get back to us but don’t waste time so that we can process your visa immediately”
She said.

“Eva is a good idea,don’t turn down the opportunity”
Fred whispered to her.

“Excuse me Boss”

“You may go”
Eva went to the kitchen thinking about the offer.

“Mother my Boss and her Boboy who is also my friend offered to take me to New York for me to achieve my dream of becoming a chef but I don’t know if I should I accept or not”
She said after they finished having dinner.

“Eva this is a great opportunity for you to achieve your dream you have to accept the offer”
The mother said.

“But how will I leave you all alone and travel to New York?

“What did you mean all alone? Am I not here or can’t I take care of your mother?
Sophia questioned.

“Don’t one should that bother you at all Sophia is here and I will take care of myself too”
The mother said.

“So I should accept the offer?

“Oh yes! Accept it”
The both chorused.

“This is the best opportunity ever it will also help you to forget about Fred,don’t you think of that?
The mother said.

“Like seriously! Forget about Fred that’s impossible for her”
Sophia mumbled.

“Yeah,I hope so”

“Bestie am so happy for you,going to New York to make your dream come is the best ever”
She hugged with so much joy.

The mother shouted in joy.

They celebrated and rejoiced for the awesome opportunity.

“Sophia take care of my mother and mother take care of yourself for me”
She said.

The mother said and hugged her.

Meanwhile Sophia sent a voicemail to Fred to inform him about Eva’s journey.

When the voicemail came in Anne read it,
“I have been calling but you are not answering I just to inform that Eva Is leaving the city to New York so I was thinking you should go and see her so that you can sort things out with her before she leaves”
She sighed and deleted the voicemail.

“Rubbish! You want to spoil my plan of having him back it won’t work for you,it’s better that she is leaving and never come back”
She said.

The next day,Fred came to see Eva at her house since he no longer have connection with her line due to he blocked his number.

“Good evening Ma, please Is Eva at home?
He asked politely.

“Fred I have warned times without number to stop coming to look for my daughter she had broken up with you and I don’t know what you want again, please leave my house Eva is not at home even if she is at home she won’t see you”
She shouted.

“Please Ma,where is she? I really want to see her”

“If you want to see her go to New York”
She shouted.

“New York!
He sounded confusingly.

“Oh yes New York,she has gone to New York to leave her life and forget about so stop wasting your time and stop disturbing my peace”
She shouted.

“But Ma when did……..

She interrupted and shouted,
“Good bye!
She sighed and shut the door.
