MY MASTER
EPISODE 33

Talia

Darrien had personally esc-rted me to my room. It was huge, but it was cold and hollow.

He had left me in my room and had locked me in.

As I lay in the huge bed, my thoughts were all over the place. I was thinking about a wh0le lot of things.

I was thinking about Kevin and the hurt in his eyes when I had turned him down.

I was thinking about Darrien, and that determined look he had on his face as he explained himself to me.

And I was thinking about Kayden. What he was going through in that cell in the hands of Darrien and his father.

I was not confused about my feelings towards these men though. I had no need to be. Kayden was my life and everything I needed. I felt sorry for and understood Darrien and Kevin, but I would never give up Kayden to be with them. It just wasn’t meant to be.

Kayden was my soul mate. Nothing and no one would ever change that. No even a god damn witch.

“Wake up love it’s time for breakfast.” I heard Darrien’s voice saying in my sleep.

I opened my eyes and saw him hovering over me, his face way to close for comfort.

“You look breathtaking when you are asleep he says as he walks towards a table in the room where I see a tray of breakfast had been set.

“I have org-nised for someone to come here and be with you. She is also our wedding planner. She is planning the wh0le thing, so I thought you would want to contribute something to how you would want the ceremony to go.” He says bringing the tray over to me.

I roll my eyes at him.

“I am not getting married to you Darrien” I say calmly.

I am calm because I understand. I understand his need to right his wrongs. But this is just the wrong way to do it.

“Ohh but you are. You see if you don’t agree to marry me. I will kill Kayden, right in front of you innocent eyes. Then I will go after that little sister of his, the one he loves so much. And I will kill her” he spat making me flinch.

I looked at him and once again saw that look of determination in his eyes. He was ready to do anything.

“If this is your way of righting your wrongs then it’s totally absurd because it is doing everything but that.” I spoke.

“You’re becoming just like your father Darrien. You’re trampling over everyone else for your own selfish goals.” I said and his eyes turned dark.

“I am nothing like my father” he roared, causing me to flinch once more.

He turned his back towards me then began talking.

“Do you know what he did to her?” He spat.

“Do you know what he did to my Anya?” He said again.

“He wh¡pped her, he wh¡pped her a countless number of times. And he made me watch. He made me watch while I was held by vampire restraints like a god damn prisoner.” He said. His voice was full of so much venom it made me tremble.

“When I snuck out to see her that night, do you know what she said to me?” He asked turning to look at me.

I shook my head a no. I couldn’t bring myself to say it. I did not have the voice to do it.

“She told me I was a monster just like her father. And she told me I was weak because I had failed to stand up for our love. I had denied her right before my father and his advisors. And she had been wh¡pped because they knew I was lying. I had hurt her because I had been trying to protect myself from the wrath of my father.”

He paused to take a deep breath, and then he released as he turned his back on me again.

“After I left her home, I went to the witch that had been helping us suppress the wolf half in her so the vampire half prevailed. I asked her to erase each and every memory of her ever being half werewolf and also remove the bad memories she had of me I was planning on running away with her soon after.” He explained. His voice was strained and my heart went out to him as his heartache and pain resonated from his being.

“The rituals were to take two days. One for the removal of her wolf memory and the other for the removal of her ordeal I had put her through. We did the first ritual, and we went home afterwards, aiming to come back to complete the second ritual, but we got there she had run away.”

I felt my heart constricting as more emotions poured out of him. Painful ones.

“And that wasn’t the worst thing. The worst thing was I had marked her during her first ritual because it was a requirement. So when she left, I suffered excruciatingly due to the mate bond. But I deserved every single bit of the pain”

Silence.

That was what followed after Darrien had finished his explanation.

“What did you do after she left?” I asked.

He did not turn back to look at me. He simply walked towards the door silently. He reached the door and he opened the door but before stepping out he turned to me and said.

“Eat your breakfast and get ready to meet our wedding planner. Tomorrow designer is coming with designs for a dress. Try to pick one, or I will do it myself. ” he said, his tone clipped.

“Darrien” I say.

“Yes?”

“Can I see him” I asked in a whisper.

His jaw is suddenly clenched.

“It’s in everyone’s best interest if you don’t. ”

“And by everyone do you mean yourself?”

He turns towards me.

“I will not be around this wh0le week.” He says and walks out banging the door behind me.
