So he came back? All the big talk about
coming back for me,just to end up with
Vivian? A pregnant Vivian?
These were the questions going on in my
head at that moment as I lay on my bed.
 
My other thought kept reassuring me; you’ve
got Raymond,he will still be yours.
Was I confused? Yes! At my age,I already
have different escapades on relationsh¡ps. Its
true that I still had a soft s₱0t for Ebuka but
seeing him that night made all the feelings
disappear.
I couldn’t sleep. I kept on tossing on the bed
till God knows when I finally closed my eyes
to sleep.
I woke up the next morning feeling very
strange and new. I walked in to the kitchen to
make breakfast. I saw a note on the table.
Everyone had gone out. What to eat and cook
were in the kitchen too. Money was also kept
beside the note.
 
I did all the chores that were left and
freshened up. I came down to the sitting
room to see a film. I was already into it when
my phone rang.
It was Patrick;
Me: Hello
Patrick: How are you?
Me: I’m fine and you?
Patrick; I’m alright. Where are you?
Me; At home.
Patrick; Are you free to go out?
Me: No. Mum will soon be back
Patrick: Oh! Okay.
Me: Any problem?
Patrick: Not at all. Its just that I have a friend
who has being bothering me over you.
Me: Hmmm.
Patrick; Yes. Do I give him your number?
Me: Doesn’t he have a name?
Patrick; You know this guy. I’ll give him your
number. When he calls,you will recognise
him.
The call went dead before I could say no.
 
Some minutes later,my phone rang. It was an
unsaved number
Me: Yea?
Raymond: Rose!
The voice became the voice I once knew. He
called me? The gentleness was just so
amazing. I held my breathe before speaking
into the  receiver;
Me; Yes,this is Rose. Who am I speaking
with?
