I kept staring at her as we sat in the sitting room watching movie and she returned the stares too.
She suddenly stood up and I followed. I sighed when I saw her unlock the door before going to her room.
“Where on earth is that brat” the boss asked angrily as he dashed out if his room.
And you! He said pointing at me. You have a hand in this don’t you, you watched her lock the door and you couldn’t caution her and you even switched your phone off so I wouldn’t call you to come unlock the door right?
No sir,I’m really sorry sir,I tried talking to her but she paid deaf ear to me, so I had to let her do what she intended to do. I explained
“I’m coming for you” he said and left for his daughter’s room.
You did a great job, I wonder why he’s getting himself worked up because of that good for nothing lady.. His mom said as she walked out of the boss’s room.

She came out of her room when she heard what her dad said. “We shall see” she said as she watched him hurry down the stairs.

Hey you! Take these baggages to her room, you’re not leaving this house until you’re through with what you came to the country for. The boss said to one of the maids as he returned with Alicia.
We all remained silent as we watched the TV but not until the boss called Mae.
She stood up reluctantly and went to his front, my mind wasn’t in what I was watching anymore but on her instead not knowing I’d be called upon too.
I want you to apologize to her for being rude and puerile… He said to Mae.
“I’m sorry” she apologized reluctantly.
“It’s fine honey, you’re forgiven already” she said and Mae hissed
“Now apologize to her as well” he said to me.
Huh? Excuse me Sir, how you dey tel me to apologize to this wan, I no her anything nah( I said in pidgin)
Are you telling me you can’t apologize to her? He asked
Darling! There’s no need for that, she didn’t do anything wrong. Although I tried signalling to her to caution her but she ignored me and took her side instead. It’s fine, I’m glad my Little Mae apologized already, I’ve forgiven her. She said
Thank God you know I did nothing wrong, I’d have done worse to you if I had the intention. I replied and shot her a glare.
I looked at Mae and saw her sending dagger stares to her but she pretended like she didn’t see her.
Apologize to her now or quit working as my daughter’s Nanny and leave my house… He said

“Madam li li” I called and went to her. I pulled her to myself and she stood in front of the boss.
“Oya tell him what to do” I said and I could swear I saw fear written on her face but she tried to hide it. And the boss couldn’t help but stare at me in awe.
I pinched her hærd and that made her talk immediately. Mitch, just let her be, she need not to apologize to me since she did nothing. I’m fine without her apology… She said
Just make sure you don’t get on my nerves, else you’re leaving this place for good… He said and walked away
Yes! High fiiiiive🙏 Mae said and I did.
“That was a really nice act, I love your courage” the boss’s mum said and I smiled.
Make sure you don’t get on anyone’s nerves by doing anything stupid because we all watching you closely… I said and went to join them on the couch.

🔰A Month Later🔰
Alicia left the house but came back weeks later. I guess she and the boss have started dating so that’s probably the reason she came back.
Granny had left the house weeks back and the house has really been peaceful.
I guess Alicia grew wings because the boss announced her as his woman and she should be treated with due respect.
She does anything she likes to anyone in the house but not to me though because she dares not.
I have few weeks left to spend in the house before returning to school since our resumption is fast approaching.
I was busy assisting Mae with the subjects she’ll be writing their exam the following day when Rose came in to tell me that Alicia sent for me.
Wait! Did you just say Alicia sent for me? Like oni kin wa( she asked me to come) I asked to be sure of what I heard.
Yes, she’s in the sitting room so she asked me to call you to come over… She said
No problem, you can go, tell her I’ll be with her soon. I said and she left
“Yes, you sent for us”. Mae said standing before her with her arms akimbo.
Sweetheart! I didn’t send for you, I only send for you Nanny… She replied
Well! You’ve automatically sent for me since you sent for my nanny. We were conjoined with some wires, in case you don’t know… She replied
I just needed you to help me loose my hair, I don’t think the workers can loose it with care.
“Come loose it for me” she said. I looked at Mae and she winked at me
The boss returned from work at the time we were having our conversation and she stood up immediately to welcome her.
“Welcome back dad” Mae greeted perfunctorily. They haven’t been on good terms ever since boss started dating her, and the boss doesn’t even seem to care. He’s been blinded by love and what he doesn’t understand is that, his marriage with her will never be successful if she isn’t in support of it.
I greeted him too, he replied and left for his room.
Here! She said stretching the scissors to me so I’d use it to cut the length of the braid.
Oh! I said and collected it from her. Mae come start loosing it so we’ll finish loosing it on time… I said
“Alright” she replied and came to sit beside me.
I made sure I cut her hair with the braid to the extent that her hair looks like the one that’s just growing.
“We’re through with it” I said and handed her the materials I used to loose it.
Few minutes later, I was busy with Mae in the laundry room when we suddenly heard a loud scre-m.
We laughed hærd before composing ourselves.
What’s wrong, why are you scre-ming? We asked in pretence as we got to her room.
Babe what’s wrong? The boss asked too as he rushed in, thereby hitting Mae mistakenly on her chest.
My hair!!!! Alicia scre-med but Mae was yelping in pain too as she held her chest.
Aaaaaargh my chest! She gro-ned and started crying, but Licia was lamenting at the same time.
Baby what’s wrong? I asked Mae but the boss was busy with Alicia.
Mitchell what the f-ck is wrong with you? Your daughter is in pain and you’re there showing care to this good for nothing lady…I shouted angrily and he stared at me obviously in shock because I called him by his name.
Sorry dear, where exactly are you feeling pain? I asked as I touched her chest.
Did you just call me by my name? He asked but I ignored him.
What the f-ck did you do to my hair!!! Alicia asked as she slightly hit me out of anger.
I didn’t even know when I landed a resounding slap on her cheek. WHAT!!!! She exclaimed and rubbed her cheek
You’re mad for touching me, you see me attending to my priority when her good for nothing father was busy with you instead.. I said angrily
What did you just say? The boss asked charging towards me angrily.
“Touch me and see mini hell” I said
