I’ll miss you too please make sure you take good care of Mae for me. I’ll come her to visit you often at my leisure times. I heard her say to my dad as she disengaged from the hug.

I’ve always known my dad’s got feelings for her, she just didn’t notice it even though my dad showed it sometimes I guess she intentionally pretended not to notice it.

I just wish she could end her relationsh¡p with her boyfriend and go for my dad. They’ll sure make a good couple, they’re a perfect match.. I thought

They had a little conversation before Nanny finally left and the house became boring and empty, just as if something that occupies large part of the house has been removed.

I can see you’ve been feeling lonely ever since your nanny left, should I employ another nanny for you? Dad said to me one day.

Should we go visit your nanny in school, since it’s weekend and we’re free and there’s still much time for us? He asked

Of course, I’ll go get dressed already, make sure you get dressed before I return… I said and ran upstairs to my room.

“I’m ready” I shouted to call dad’s attention as I got to the sitting room. “I’m ready too” he said as he walked out of the kitchen.

I had to inform the chef and other workers of our absence for a while. Let’s go already.

“Let’s do some shopping for her, I need to get her some things” I opined

I was about bringing up that idea, but you happen to be faster than I am… He replied

We got to her hostel and met her friend outside their room pacing to and fro.

What’s wrong with you? Dad asked and touched her shoulder which made her flinch.

Oh! Good afternoon sir. She greeted my dad.

Hey pretty! She said to me and squatted before me.

You don’t look so good, what’s wrong with you, where’s sis Michelle? I asked her. Just then, we heard some noises of people quarrelling.

Dad moved closer to the door and I did too. “Abraham It’s just five months for goodness sake, how could you do this, how could you be this stupid” we heard my Nanny shout and I knew what’s happening immediately.

“Don’t f-cking touch me” she shouted again.

“Calm down and listen to my explanation” the guy shouted too but his own voice was more harsh because of the thick voice he has.

That made dad open the door and enter while I followed with her friend.

Young what the f-ck is wrong with you, how could you raise your voice at a lady like that? Dad ranted thereby, interrupting them

Sir! Mae! She called us in utmost surprise. I ran to her and she threw me up before spoiling my face with k-sses.

“I missed you” she said. “I missed you too” I replied.

Excuse me sir, you shouldn’t have butted Into an affair that doesn’t concern you like that. The guy said.

I’m sorry about that, but still you shouldn’t have raised your voice at her like that. My dad replied

Keep your apology to yourself, and me raising my voice at my woman is none of your business… The guy replied

I’m sure you’re the one at fault and instead of you to be apologizing to her, you’re there doing what’s not necessary… Dad said

Who are you to tell me what to do? Mich who the hell is this man that lacks moral? He asked

Excuse me mister, I’m sorry for poke nosing but you have no right to say those words to my dad. I said

I’m sure you know who I am, little girl. So I’ll advise you and your dad to excuse us… He said

They’re going no where, you should leave if you’re not comfortable with their presence here… Aunty Michelle replied him

Are you being serious right now? Like you’re going against my wish because of them? He asked

Certainly, and if care isn’t taken, I’ll have you thrown out of my apartment. You came to me remember? She replied

What kind of lady ignores her fiancé for another guy and his daughter’s sake? He said

Fiancé you said? You’re funny. In fact, let’s end it… She said

Huh? Are y… Are you kidding me? He asked. I was about asking the same question but tried to compose myself.

So you’re gonna leave the girl’s world shattered by denying being the father of the child just to be with me.

He impregnated a lady few years ago and the lady is back with his son. She’s been calling Mich since two weeks now begging her to leave him for her.

Hours later, we went to drop nanny’s Friend at their hostel while nanny followed us home.

We arrived home very late. The workers were already asleep but the gatekeeper wasn’t.

“Goodnight darlings ” dad said to nanny and I.

“Goodnight dad” “Goodnight sir” we both replied. And dad shot her a glare

Stop using the word” he reminded her. “Oops! I’m sorry si…Mitchell” she apologized with a smile.

It was in the midnight when we’ve all retired to bed and i was fast asleep already. I turned to the other side of the bed and touched every part of the bed when I didn’t feel my nanny beside me.

I requested to sleep beside her in the previous night and she agreed, so we slept together.

I was about reaching for the lamp when I suddenly felt a figure press the hærd pillow on my head which caused suffocation for me.

I struggled for breath but couldn’t… I tried shouting my nanny’s name but couldn’t because of the pressure exerted on me.

This is more like the dream I had a long time ago coming through… “Lord please I’m not ready to die” I thought and tears streamed down my eyes as I felt life slowly drifting out of me.
