Episode-7
Vicky and Pascal met at their usual hotel coz they had alot to discuss.
“Why didn’t u tell me your brother is Janne’s baby daddy?”Vicky asked
“How am I supposed to know that?”Pascal asked
“oh plz.. Spare me those lies.. I know u knew about Janne and Jide even before I told u.. Now the question is, why did u lie? Why did u pretend? Why did u call off ur engagement with her?? Why the pretence Pascal!!?”Vicky scre-med
“would u just shut up so I can think properly?”Pascal fired back
“No I would not! Are u playing games with me? Ah u better not because u won’t like what I’d do to u.. U better just start answering all my questions right now if u don’t want to see the other side of me”Vicky threatened
Pascal sighed and stood up holding Vicky by the shoulders.
“it’s true..i knew about Janne and my brother before u told me, I knew everything and I just had to play along. I was tired of Janne and that was why when u told me about her n Jide, I pretended and took that opportunity to break up with her…”
Vicky removed his hands from her shoulders..
“I still don’t get it.. U knew about her and your brother yet you went ahead to date her? Koyemi oh.. I don’t understand rara”
“OK.. I don’t know how to explain.. It’s actually a payback, I needed to hurt my brother and that was why I dated his girlfriend..but believe me Vicky it’s you I love”He said planting a k-ss on her cheeks
“See.. I don’t still understand the payback you’re talking about and honestly I don’t care.. All I want is you and you alone”
Pascal smiled and k-ssed her passionately as they made their way to the bed…

Jide needed to see Janne urgently to clear issues with her but he knew she wouldn’t oblige so he parked his car a little bit far from her office where he could easily sight her and trail her to her place.
Soon, he sighed her coming out with one of her female colleague who hopped into the car with her as they left. Jide quickly followed behind.
At a junction, Janne’s car stopped and her colleague came down and waved at her while she drove off. Jide continued trailing her until she horned at a gate some streets away and Jide knew this must be her house. He parked outside the gate and waited for her to drive in before coming down and made for the gate.
He knocked slightly and the gate man came out
“Who u dey look for?” He asked
“That madam wey just enter now.. I from her office, she forget her phone so I wan come give her”Jide lied showing the Gate man his own phone.
The gateman looked him over before ushering him in,side and showing him Janne’s flat.
He walked to the door and knocked.
Janne opened the door and was surprised to see Jide.
“Gracious goodness! What in God’s name are u doing here??..wait! Have u been trailing me??”
“At least usher me in before u start bombarding me with questions”
Janne let him in and he sat down.
“nice place you’ve got here”He said looking around
“Now what do u want?”Janne asked standing in front of him with folded hands around her br-asts.
Jide stood up and walked to her standing in front of her..
“Janne calm down and seat down let’s talk.. We sure do have alot to talk about”
They sat down. Jide’s face saw a frame hanging just above the Television.
He moved over and picked it looking at it intensely.
“Is this Juwon?”
Janne nodded
Jide’s face lit up.. “He looks so much like me.. So much Janne, can’t you see?”He exclaimed like an excited toddler and Janne nodded as tears dropped from her eyes.
“Mummy has been calling that Juwon says he wants to see his Father”
Jide dropped the frame on the table and raised Janne’s face up.
“I was forced by my Dad out of the country. My phone was seized. Someone told him dirty stuffs about me and..i just left for the UK impromptu. When I got there, I contacted my younger brother Pascal. I gave him every single detail about u and even about our son. I told him to explain everything to you and tell u the situation at hand and also collect your number and send to me so I can contact you but Pascal told me he couldn’t find u.. That u had left the school to your village with ur Mom and all that..I hastened up and came back to Nigeria last year to see you although I knew you must have graduated. I still went to your house and your mom’s house but u were nowhere to be found.. Until I bumped in on your Friend Vicky months ago who told me where u worked and thats it..”
“You saw Vicky and she was the one who gave u my office address??”Janne asked in surprise
“Yes.. I loved you Janne, I still do and I will always do.. if only u can give me another chance to make it up to you and our son.. please”
Janne busted into tears and Jide kept consoling her.

Uche had moved out of his Step dad’s house into the company’s house and started his Job in earnest. His relationsh¡p with Fauzi blossomed and he wanted to introduce her to his Mom.
They arrived the house at about 5:00pm. Uche had already pre-informed his mom.
“Do u think your mom would like me?”Fauzi asked adjusting the scarf she tied on her hair. She made sure she looked every inch good. She wore a blue Jean trouser and a white polo then tied a white scarf and a blue sneakers with a blue cross bag.
“You are beautiful.. Everybody would like u.. Come on let’s go in,side”
They came down and headed to the house.
He knocked and opened the door.
Perpetual was in the sitting room with her Husband watching TV.
Fauzi knelt down and greeted them while Jide shook hands with his dad and gave his mom a side hug.
They sat down.
“Welcome my daughter”The Dad said
“Thank u sir”
Uche cleared his throat and said “Mom, Dad.. this is the girl I told u about.. my fiancee”
Perpetual smiled “Now you’re behaving like a man.. So young Lady, what is your name?”
“Fauziat MA”
Perpetual turned to Uche “biko osino ogini? (please she said what?)”
“Mom It’s Fau..zi..at”Uche stressed for his mom to understand
“What type of name is that? Where are u from by the way?”Perpetual asked.
“Am from Borno state MA.. A Muslim”Fauziat said smiling
Perpetual jumped up as if being stunk by a bee
“Borno? ndi boko haram??!! Boko Haram people!! Ewoo Chim o.. Uche you have killed me.. You brought a Muslim to my house? How dare u? Are u stupid? What has come over you??”She scre-med
Fauziat was shocked. She sat down shivering while Uche looked lost as his mom displayed.
“Perpetual calm down! You are over reacting!!”The Dad scre-medin annoyance.
“Eh? over reacting? so u would allow Uche marry from all states in the country, Borno! Borno state!!”
“Just shut up and sit down.. You are making a mountain out of a mole.. I don’t see anything wrong if a grown up man like Uche chooses to marry even from Sambisa forest!”
“Mom can u plz calm down?”Uche finally found his voice
“Oh shut up you useless boy.. I knew nothing good can never come out of you..”
Turning to Fauziat, she said.. “You,, what are u waiting for? Disappear before I disfigure your face with my nails”
Fauziat jumped out of the house in tears as Uche ran chasing her..

CHIEF FELIX’s Residence
Chief Felix is the Father of Jide, Pascal and Yetunde. The loggerheads between his two sons has been going on for a while and was reported to him and his Wife by Yetunde immediately they came back from their Couple’s trip and they decided to call a meeting that evening.
They were all sitted in the Living room except for Pascal.
“Where is Pascal?”Motunrayo their mother asked looking around
“isn’t he aware of this meeting??”Chief Felix queried
“Hold on Father let me go and call him from his room”Yetunde said standing up and going upstairs.. Minutes later, she came down with Pascal following closely behind her.
“Young Man, what is your problem? Do we have to wait for you specially??”Chief Felix bellowed in anger
Pascal prostrated before his parents
“Ejoor Sir.. Ejoor Ma”
He stood up and sat in the next sofa away from Jide.
Chief cleared his throat and began.
“I’ll go straight to the point because I have somewhere to go to in couple of hours from now.. So, your sister here (pointing at Yetunde) told me all that has been happening in our absence. How you two idiots turned my peaceful home into a wrestling ground. Now I want to ask, what is the cause of the fight?”
Jide and Pascal looked at themselves and kept quiet
“Are u two suddenly dumb?”Motunrayo asked looking at the two guys
They still kept quiet
Chief turned to Jide
“What is the problem?”He asked
“Father, am really sorry for what happened during your absence but sincerely, I was pushed to the wall. Father, I couldn’t believe that my own brother.. Flesh and blood would betray me the way Pascal did..”
“Please hang it there..I didn’t betray u! I met Janne on platonic basis and we fell in love.. How was I supposed to know she was ur baby mama?”
“Shut up u disgusting liar! I gave u every detail about her and u used it against me! How can u say u met her on platonic basis?”Jide scre-med with red eyes
“It’s not my fault that she loves me, moreover…”Pascal was saying when Chief interrupted him in anger
“Will both of u just shut up!!! U mean these wh0le issue is because of a girl?”
“Omo Obirin!!”Motunrayo shouted in disbelief. Yetunde just sighed and kept mute
“A lady?”Chief shook his head in disappointment
“Father, she’s not just a lady..she’s my Fiancee!!”Pascal said
“And she’s my son’s mother!!”Jide fired back
All of them stared at Jide in shock
“You have a son? When? How??”Motunrayo asked wide eyed
“Mother, these is all Father’s fault.. He forced me out of the country against my will.. I had to leave them at the mercy of this monster here(pointing at Pascal) but he betrayed me and started dating her while he lied to me that he couldn’t find her”
“Please stop calling me names..plz oo”Pascal said raising his hands up.
The wh0le house went silent for minutes before Chief stood up.
“Jide, bring the Lady and her son over this weekend.. I want to see her and speak to her”
“No Father! Jide can’t bring my Fiancee here without my consent!!”Pascal objected standing up
“Are u by any chance objecting my order??”Chief asked facing Pascal
He prostrated before his Father
“Am sorry sir.. Ejoor”
“Better”Chief said
Turning to Jide, he said “bring her and the son this weekend”
Jide was happy, he prostrated “Eshe sir”
Chief walked out with his Wife…

Fauziat and Uche sat down in the bed backing each other. Both of them were in deep thoughts..
Uche suddenly faced her.. “Babe, I’ve told u to stop worrying over this issue.. My mother can never be a hindrance to our love. She has always been the dramatic type even to me as her son.. So u don’t have to bother”
“But..”
“Shhhhhh”Uche placed his l-ips over hers and gave her a light k-ss.
“I want to meet with ur Dad”He said
she looked up surprised..
He nodded in affirmative.
She hugged him and they started playing around the beach..
Fauziat went home the next day to inform her Dad about Uche’s visit.
“Baba, he is a nice man and he makes me happy”She blushed
Alhaji laughed
“Anything that makes u happy is my priority so bring him over this weekend..”
She hugged him
“Nagode Baba”…

Uche went over to his Mom’s house to have a confrontation with her. it’s been 3days after the incidence and he hadn’t set eyes on her..
“Mom seriously, what u did when I brought my Fiancee here was embarrassing! How can u scare her away like that?”Uche asked
“Wait.. Is that the nonsense you came here to say? Look Uche, I will never give my blessings to your marriage with that girl! Ahahn.. You left Enugu State, IMO, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia and even Delta state.. OK, If u had brought an “ofe mmanu” girl, it would have been a bit better because my best friend Debbie is a Yoruba woman and they have respect.. But an Hausa girl.. Borno kwa! LaiLai Godforbid.. It can never work out!!”
Uche was perplexed
“Mom is it the state that is ur problem or the religion?”
“Ha ncha… Both of them o”She exclaimed
Uche shook his head in anger..
“I don’t know why God would give me a mother like u”He left the house..

Episode-9
“Madam Debbie” as she was popularly called is a rich cash madam who owns one of the biggest boutiques in Town. She had other branches across the Country and often gets her supplies from Dubai and China. Madam Debbie is Perpetual’s best friend and on this day, Perpetual visited her unannounced.
Her sales girls who were all conversant with her quickly ushered her into Debbie’s Office.
“Debbie, Debito.. Cash madam!!”Perpetual called her friend by her nickname
“Ah! Pepe my friend..longest time o”She said as they embraced.
Perpetual sat across the wide sofa in Debbie’s big office while Debbie came over and sat close to her.
“You’ve forgotten all about me nau.. Traveling to China today and Dubai tomorrow.. Debbie it’s not good o, that’s not how friends should behave to each other”
“Please my friend am very sorry, my Manager duped me last month.. I only discovered he has been stealing from me.. And I handed him over to the police and decided to settle down and handle my business myself for a while before I get someone else to replace the fool.. But people these days are very hærd to trust so I’ve been managing the business on my own..am very sorry my dear”Debbie explained.
“it’s okay my friend. Everyone has his or her own problems to handle.. Yours is business, mine is Family”
“Ahahn, What’s happening in your family?”Debbie asked concerned
“Mtcheeeew… Is it not that stupid son of mine called Uche? The boy brought home a Muslim girl from Borno state and said he wants to marry her”
“Olohun maje… Muslim? Borno? Haaa.. How do children of these days think? Whats your stand on the issue?”
“Ah u don’t know me? I told him over my dead body would I let him marry the girl”
“What about your husband? What is he saying?”
“Leave that one alone.. He says Uche is a grown up man and can chose to marry from Sambisa forest if he wishes”
Debbie started laughing..
“I don’t blame him anyways. It’s because Uche is not his biological child. All his children are married and none got married outside our tribe not to talk of Borno..”Perpetual hissed.
Debbie stopped laughing and looked at her friend..
“So what are u going to do about it now?”
Perpetual was about to reply when a young lady walked into the office and ran to hug Debbie
“Mummy!”
Debbie hugged her back and smiled
“You’re back so early.. why?”
The young girl replied “Mom don’t mind that foolish driver.. He almost got us killed today but trust me I gave him very good slaps to reset his brain”
They both laughed.
Debbie looked at Perpetual who was lost.
“My bad! Am so sorry ore mi.. This is my last daughter Best.. U remember her na..”
Perpetual took a closer look at Best and exclaimed
“What? Best Olajumoke! Small Best of yesterday?”
Debbie laughed
“Yes o.. My small Best is now a graduate of Pharmacy.. She just came back from Abroad where she had stayed studying all these years”
“Come here let me take a closer look at you”Perpetual urged Best and she came over and greeted her..
Soon, Best left…
“So, back to our discussion… What are you going to do about your son?”
Perpetual Smiled “I already know..”
“And what’s that?”Debbie asked
“Don’t u think Uche and Best would make a great couple??”
Debbie looked at her surprised and started smiling…

JANNE’S RESIDENCE
Janne was cooking that evening when she heard a knock on her door and she ran to open it. She was shocked to meet Pascal staring at her. Since the last incidence at her office, Pascal hadn’t called her and she has been calling him but he never picked up.
After Jide explained things to her, she decided to let go and give him another chance although she hadn’t told him yet. And she still loved Pascal still.
“May I come in?” Pascal said cutting short her thoughts
She opened the door wide for him to enter.
They got in and sat down.
“Janne, I know I hurt u.. I called off our engagement and am truly sorry, I wasn’t thinking well..m deeply sorry and I want you back”
Janne looked at him confused.
“Pascal honestly, am lost in all these..According to Jide, he gave u my address and picture after he left the country so u would keep in touch with me and explain everything that’s happening to me.. Why didn’t u?”
Pascal inhaled deeply
“Listen Janne, they’re all lies..Jide cooked up all those stories just to get u back. He never told anyone about u.. Even our Father isn’t aware about you or the child. Jide ran off to the States with his secret girlfriend because he was at loggerheads with our Father at that time. Nobody knew his whereabouts until he came back last year after he had issues with the girl.. Inasmuch as Jide is my elder brother, he is still a liar! OK, do u think if he had told my Dad about u or your child, my Dad would ask him to abandon you and go to the States? No! He ran away without telling anyone”
Janne stood up pacing the place in confusion.
“I don’t even know what or who to believe anymore!”She scratched her head in confusion
Pascal walked up to her and k-ssed her
“Plz believe me my Angel.. I love u”
He enveloped her mouth in a hot k-ss fondling her br-asts as he took her to the Sofa still k-ssing her..
Suddenly the door opened! It was Vicky!!
They both disentangled..
Vicky was so angry but she managed to compose herself.
“Am sorry if I interrupted anything..”She gave a dry smile
“You did jor!”Janne who wasn’t suspecting anything laughed
“Anyways, I and Pascal are back together.. he came over to apologize”
“Oh wow! Am so happy for the both of you really” Vicky said
“Ouch! my food is burning.. I placed something on fire”Janne said running to the kitchen.
Left alone with Pascal, Vicky glared at him in anger
“You son of a thousand fathers..how dare u?”She said in a low fuming tone
“Vicky calm down.. I’d explain all these to you later” Pascal said slowly looking towards the kitchen to make sure Janne was out of earshots.
“Explain what?… You idiot..”
Just then, Janne came in and looked at them
“Is everything okay here?”She asked noticing their tensed faces
“Of course baby!”He pecked her.
Vicky smiled in pretence..
“Okay then, let me set the table. Food is ready.. Vicky come n give me a helping hand”She said and Vicky followed her to the kitchen after giving Pascal a deadly glance.
