Episode 18.
Daniel struggled to free himself from Sandra but all effort was fruitless.
“Just stop forcing yourself on me I can’t love you “Daniel shouted in anger.
She walked to where Daniel stood and tried to touch him. due to the anger that was running in his veins, he pushed her hærd which made her to slip and fall on the tiled floor and hit head.
Daniel shook her body but she has passed out. he rushed into the room, wear his clothes thinking of the possible place to take her to.
He carried her all alone outside the hotel. he was lucky he found one taxi which he paid and take Sandra to the hospital.
Ekaette at the other end couldn’t sleep, he thought that something bad might have happened to Daniel, she kept on shading tears.
#Next day
Sandra was still sleeping soundly on the hospital bed after the doctor had done his part treating her wound.
“Please young man take it easy on her, you may make her loose her pregnancy. she’s 3 months pregnant “the doctor said to Daniel.
Daniel’s heart begin racing so fast, Sandra wasn’t joking? she’s pregnant for me? oh no it can’t be.
He was really thinking fast, Sandra finally woke up. Daniel settled the hospital bill and took her home without exchanging words with her.
Daniel pack his belongings on getting to the hotel ready to go.
“Enjoy your stay here “he said and hold the door knob. Sandra was looking so sober, she was sniffing .at last Daniel can’t love her back.
Daniel couldn’t withstand her sober face anymore, he pulled her into a tight hug that lasts for 2 good minutes.
“All will be fine soon dear “he assured her
“Can I come with you? she asked
Daniel knowing the consequences can’t allow that to happen.
“I’m sorry dear you can’t ”
“It’s OK, at least can you take me home I’m weak.
Daniel shook his positively and she pack her stuffs too which Daniel lead the way out of the hotel room.
Ekaette couldn’t bear the loneliness anymore, she remembered Daniel telling her that he will be back the previous night. but he was nowhere to be found, even in the morning it’s almost 8:00am but he is not back.
“Something is wrong somewhere “she said and start dressing up.
After dressing up, she locked the door and stepped out of the house to the busy streets. she didn’t know where to go to, luckily for her an empty taxi passed by. she waved it down, after explaining where she wants to go. the taxi man finally allowed her in and zoom off .
Daniel and Sandra walked out of the hotel room, holding hands together which Daniel knew that it was not the best idea. he tried to withdraw his hands but Sandra would not allow that.
They stood by the roadside waiting for a cab to take them home.
Ekaette was so restless in,side the taxi showing how much zhe loves Daniel. they were still driving when she sighted someone that looks like Daniel standing on the roadside.
“Go near that guy let me see something “she said to the taxi man.
“OK ma’am ”
It was true that it’s Daniel, but her heart scattered immediately she noticed that he was with Sandra holding hands. the pain in her heart was unexplainable. she broke down in tears.
“Take me back home”she said to the driver
“But madam you…….
“I say take me back home now!”she shouted angrily and hit the drivers seat which made the man to be scared. he turned the car immediately and took her back.
Daniel and Sandra finally got to her house, after dropping her he wave her goodbye and left feeling happy that he will finally see his love “Ekaette.
He got to the house and everywhere was quiet. he opened the door and found Ekaette crying on the floor without minding his presence.
He rushed to where she sat down, he curdle his hands around her trying to know whats wrong .
Ekaette gave him a hot slap on the cheek making him to be surprised.
She stood up and faced him looking so angry ready to strike.
“How could you betray me”she asked allowing the tears to flow.
