( The Trauma)
“It not what you think”I follow Mom downstairs as she walk angrily away from us and Liam trailed behind me.
“Who the hell is he”She asks harshly.
“Mom if you give me time I can explain well”I pleaded.
“Then I want to hear them” She sit on the couch and I was standing right at her front facing her.
“This might sounds crazy but you just have to believe me……………..” I finish my explanation and Mom was just looking at me with are you crazy eye then her eye went to Liam then back at us.
“Mom am saying the truth” I pleaded.
“Vanessa you are really funny you expect me to believe that story I don’t even know where you get that from of maybe you read it from a book but I seriously don’t want this guy here” She stood up and walk away from me.
I tried to stop her but I gasped when I saw Liam slump on the floor. “Liam” I ran to him and hit him on his cheek.
“Liam wake up don’t do this to me please” I pleaded but his eye were closing.
“Mom help” I cried.
“What do you expect me to do” she yelled back.
“I think my time lasped since I couldn’t regain my memory”he said faintly and touch my cheek.
“Liam please don’t do this” I cried.
“Just promise you would keep me save just like you did”
“What are you saying, I promise to keep you save if you would get back to your feet now and be strong for me I promise to do anything for you” I cried.
“To late I love you” his eye close and I cried out but when I felt his body shaking I startled out but a large Ray of light block my view and I had to close my eye and use my hand to guide my eye.
The light went down and I open my eye only to see my diary lying on the floor again. Liam changed to a book again.
“I need an explanation. of what just happened now” Mom voice interrupted.
I bent over to pick the book but mom hand stopped me. “And what do you think you are doing” she scold me and I shove her hand off me and pick up the book quick.
“What do you think you are doing”She yelled at me. “I explained everything to you if you don’t understand then it fine and seriously going to destroy that daughter of a bitch” I squeeze the diary to my chest.
“Vanessa you can’t do this”She tried touching me but I took a step back.
“No don’t touch me” I flinched.
“What wrong with my baby” She cried.
“It sapphire she transform him back to a book”.
“Just calm down and be patient” She tried calming me down.
She grab me and quickly hug me. “It okay” she patted my back and my anger went down slowly.
“She turn him back to a book” I cried and she kept patting me.
She finally let go of me when she think I was a little bit calm and she held me and sit me down and sit beside me.
“Mom you should go to work you might lose your job” I sniffed.
“You are more important than anything in the world ” she place my head on her shoulder.
“You should have told me about all this” She said. “You might think am crazy” I replied as I wipe my tears.
“There is something I need to tell you Vanessa” She hold my hands in hers.
“I thought your father was crazy too, he told me he had something similar to yours and that particular morning he told me it was time but I just gave him the same reply that he was just imagining things” she said and I raise my head up, only if she can explain well.
“What do you mean” I asks.
“Your Dad told me he was been attack by something but anytime he try explaining to me I didn’t believe him, until that particular morning he told me that it was time but I was confused only if I knew that he was telling me he was going to die”She broke into tears.
“Are you saying Dad death was not a car accident” I asks.
“Probably but all I know was the doctor confirmed he was attacked before his accident and his body show different type of snake bite”She wipe her tears.
“Duke and Ricky were right I need to find them and set things right, it time”I stood up.
“I can’t let you leave too what if I don’t see you again too”She held my hand.
“Mom I would be fine am totally different from Dad, he is powerless but I don’t think sapphire can fight mine”I frowned.
“Vanessa don’t do this to me, losing your father was enough”She pleaded.
“Mom there is no point if I don’t fight this battle Sapphire would kill us all including the both of us since she is able to transform Liam back”I said.
“You are Vanessa not a super hero and you can’t save the world”She pleaded as she shook me.
“She killed Dad”I yelled but startled back when I realize I just froze my mom.
“How the hell did I do that”I ran out of the house with the book stuck to my chest.
“I know this might be crazy but am never giving up”I encourage myself.
I raise my head up and the Cloud was changing like it going to rain.
This isn’t a great sign! Now I remember she told me I would have the ability to control fire, ability to read minds, ability to transform Into anything and lastly ability to froze and I Just did that to my mom.
“Promise never to use your power no matter what”Ricky Voice echoed in my hair.
“She would find you once you use your power”Duke voice came in too.
“I just use my power on my mom” I yelled out.
No!!!? she is coming for me too😭😭😭.
