Chapter Twenty Three
Pinkie’s pov:
I woke up in the evening after a long nap. The doctor came earlier to give me some pain relievers and am starting to feel better.

I was wearing one of Rex’s big shirt and it’s pretty long it stopped at my th-gh.

Where’s Rex’?

I curiosly looked for him around the rooms.

I went downstairs to the kitchen to ask the maids.

“He went out” one Of them replied.

“Do you have any idea where?” I asked

She shook her head. “Mr Rex never tell us where he goes to”.

Hmph.

I hope he didn’t go to see Seraphina or the school principal.

I’d be really pissed with him cause I told him not to hurt anyone.

I slumped on one of the sofa in the living room. Am so bored and I think its time I get a pet.

Maybe I’d buy one or two dogs to keep me company since I won’t be going to school for a while… Not a while, forever!

Maybe am not destined to study that’s why my step mom took my scholarsh¡p slip from me😭
I’ll just find something maybe a make business.

Rex can assist me with a little money. Just a little. I don’t want him to see me as a parasite or a gold digger.

The door opened and Rex came in.
He have alot of explaining to do.

“Hi” he said softly and started going towards the stairs.

He’s leaving?

“Rex, stop!” I blurted and went after him as he headed for his room.

I held him by his wrist.
He stopped walking.

“Where have you been?” I asked.

“Just went to the studio…” He muttered.

“So late in the evening, I was worried about you” I said.

He sighed and made me sit on the bed. He knelt before me.

“Stop worrying about me. You’re much more important” He said and k!$sed me.

I sighed.
“We need to get a dog, one or two” I said grinning.

He chuckled.

“Okay, anything for you. Let’s go tomorrow and I’ll be the one choosing cause I always choose the best” he said and my cheeks flushed.

Seraphina’s pov:
“What?! Are you serious?” I rapsed into the phone as I sat on my bed.

“Am dead serious Sera, Rex just left our house. He looked extra angry and he threatened my mom. He said he’d sue us if we don’t provide the three girls that hurt Pinkie. She told mom to expell them and worse, he knows them all” Chon min, the principal’s daughter revealed from the other side of the phone.

I start to stutter.
Why didn’t Rex ask the principal to expell me too? Does he have separate plan for me? Could it be possible he’s starting to like me and he can’t hurt me?

Oh damn…
This is confusing….

“Thanks for the info Choi min. Call you tomorrow, goodnight” I said and hung up.

Pinkie… How can I meet you?

Pinkie’s pov:
I watched Rex as he wore his rings and wrist watch.
How do I tell him to give me some money for my cake business.

Oh, I will give it a try.

“Rex, please can I have just a little cash. I want to use it to start up a cake business” I muttered.

He looked at me and laughed.

Huh, what’s so funny.

He looked at me again and saw I was damn serious.

He nodded.

“Okay, let’s do it like this. You’ll bake like 10 pieces of cake so I can share it to the people at the shoot. I’ll pay you. Even extra” he said.

I nodded.
What an amazing offer!

“Okay but you’ll help me with breaking the eggs” I said.

“Nooo… The maids will do that. geez Pinkie you like stressing yourself” He muttered.

I rolled my eyes and rushed downstairs to start the mixing. My cake is the best back in the locals, they would surely love it.
