NOT ALL THAT GLITTERS
( The deacons daughter )
Episode 26
Toni’s sister left them and they both sat down in the sitting room and she discussed with him telling him that his actions might bring effect on the unborn due to my feelings always. He promised her to do his best to change.
He stood up to leave for the room and I ran back and lay down pretending to be asleep.
The next day I was eating breakfast and he walked up to me and pecked me before leaving for work I was too surprised that I couldn’t even ask why he wasn’t having breakfast his mother word really made impact on him.
When he came back from work in the evening I decided to tell him about my past myself but how am I gonna tell him he’s already acting as before I shouldn’t bring it in. But Wat if I deliver the baby and he stops. I joined him in bed and was about talking wen he spoke.
Toni : Tell me about your past and I promise not to judge u I just want to know
After some time of silence I ended up with crying and he pet me then k-ssed me we both slept off from the next day I had my husband back loving rom-ntic and caring as before.
His mom and sister went back to the state bc of her studies and promised to come back as soon as I put to bed.
I really missed them bc she do help out with cooking and washing of clothes bc I was always very tired.
With time I adjusted 8 months later I gave birth to a baby girl but was told I could no longer give birth at least I was satisfied I had one child.
I and Toni hid the fact I could no longer conceive in order not to ruin her happiness they soon travelled back and spent the month with us and left back we named the child ayomide while Toni’s mom named him timileyin .
Life was going smoothly .
One night I had a very terrible dream.
In the dream I went to our bed room and found another woman laying on the bed I requested her to leave but she refused saying it was her matrimonial room and Toni was her husband we kept arguing in the dream that’s how I woke up I didn’t bother praying and saw it as just a mere dream I no longer attended church so I didn’t visit the pastor either and forgot about it.
One afternoon I heard a knock on the door and went there to open the door a woman and two kids came in,side and requested to see Toni without even telling me their identity I thought they were relatives.
Episode 27
They all sat down both kids are older than my daughter with him about walking upstairs to call Toni he walked down himself and was shocked to see them
Immediately he stared at them the kids with the woman ran up to Toni and hugged him calling him daddy I got the shock of my life
Me : Toni Wat is going on who are these people how come they just called u daddy do u have another family aside me and our baby
Toni remained silent and the woman broke the silence
My name is Ada and met your husband in a bar one night actually frustrated bc I meant him drunk he forced himself on me and I got pregnant
Toni broke in
Toni : and I gave u money to abort the baby but u this witch u refused what are u doing in my house??
Ada : don’t blame me your kids needs you too just as the baby standing over there does she said pointing to my daughter
I was already down with tears frustrated and regretted ever getting married to him
I can’t leave him to marry another bc of my womb issues I just stared at them why they talked.
Toni : leave this house immediately
Ada : never we are all going to start leaving together in this house she took her bag and draged your kids along taking them upstairs and they entered a room beside our room I took my daughters hand with tears on and went straight to her room where I spent the night
The next day very early in the morning I left with my daughter for the church and see the pastor.
Who told me to pray and fast to God about the situation.
I kept leaving the house everyday to avoid my problem I would go to church with my daughter and come back very late in the evening.
Toni kept pleading with me in any given minute for forgiveness but I refused .
Two weeks past it remained like that till one night wen I heard scre-ming in the house it was coming from Toni’s bed room wats going on why the scre-ming this late at night it sounded like Ada’s voice but she can’t possibly be in Toni’s room Bc he doesn’t allow her go in
I stood up from bed and walked outside to see Wat was happening .
Episode 28
I got there and barged into the room found Ada on the floor bleeding her head was badly injured
Toni was standing staring at her on the floor in his hand was a long iron he probably hited her
Me : Toni Wat have u done
We quickly took her to the hospital bf she could lose more blood.
They asked us wat happened but we denied the fact that Toni had caused the bleeding.
The doctor started treating her but she wasn’t responding I left Toni with her there and went home I had to take care of her children and mine.
After two days I didn’t go to the hospital again then one afternoon Toni called me that Ada want to have a conservation with me
( Maybe she’s fine already so I thought)
I took the kids to my friends place and drove off to the hospital on getting there Ada was breathing heavily like she’s about to die
Me : Toni Wat is the situation here it’s been two days now and there’s no sign of improvement
( I was really concerned about her maybe bc she haven’t really quarreled with me before)
Toni : I really don’t know Wat the doctor is doing I think I should transfer her to another hospital
Ada spoke with a low voice very slowly while shaking
Ada : Toni excuse us
Toni went outside
While she continued she said a lot of things which of course I didn’t hear some of Wat she said then she concluded with this
Please take care of my children just like your own and don’t leave Toni he truly loves u for refusing to touch me which resulted to angry and made him hit me
She placed her hand on me and said
Ada : promise me please
She breathed heavily and gave up the ghost with tears I said yes I will
I scre-med Toni quickly came in and some nurses bf the doctor they did some checking on her bf they covered her wh0le body including her face.
Toni drove me home bf he later left to bring back the kids.
I locked myself in my room crying so much after three days the kids started getting along and I told them abOut their mother they were really sad over it and I promised to be a good mother to them also
The funeral was done after a month and I urged Toni so we leave the house bc it has so many sad memories we later moved to another state where we started leaving in an estate
