Anastasia’s pov 👠
I woke up to the blaring of my alarm, I reached for my phone and turned it off… I sat up and rubbed my eyelids as I released a short yawn.
Checking the time, I realized it’s almost 7am, then my eyes moved to Klaus’s side of the bed.. he’s still sleeping so peacefully.
He looks exceptionally handsome this morning, I wanted to wake him up to get ready for work…but decided against it.
He deserves some few minutes of sleeping, after all, I didn’t made it easy for him last night.. he stayed up to coo me to sleep.. because for some unknown reason, I couldn’t fall asleep.
I was feeling hot and uncomfortable… I hopped out of bed and realized I’m still unclad, but Klaus already has his boxer on.
I walked towards the closet, I walked in and I’m honestly shocked, some of my clothes are already here and even some new ones are added.
Klaus’s clothes are also here, I snatched one of his big black t-shirt and wore it.. it stopped at a few inches away from my butts.. I don’t feel like wearing any p-nty.
I heard my phone beeped and walked out, I walked towards it and check it.. it’s a voice from Tilda.
🗣️ Hey, I don’t know if you’re still alive thete…well, babygirl, Anastasia Lopez is about to die and disappear from this world.. so, I’m at your aunt’s.. I wanna explain things to her before she end up in the hospital from a heart attack!
A smile tugged my l-ips after listening to her message, I shake my head and sent her my own reply.
🗣️ Anastasia is dead and her ghost is replying you right now, thanks for your hærd work… I’ll marry you to a good husband.
“And sent!” I said after the message was delivered… I dropped my phone on the table and head out.
My stomach has been growling since I woke up, I’d better go get something to eat… I only hope there are any foods here!
I took the steps two at a time until I arrived in the living room, the aroma of fried chicken welcomed me.
A frown appeared on my face, shouldn’t Klaus and I be the only ones here?
Matilda is at my aunt’s, Marcus.. I quick scan the living room.. he’s nowhere in sight.. or is he the one cooking in the kitchen?
I should check it out, my legs found their way to the kitchen.
“Jerry?” I called.
He turned to me with a smile, he dropped the spoon he was holding.
“Anna, good morning!” He greeted me.
I walked closer.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“Master wants me here, so I came!” He replied.
I nod, without him here, Klaus and I would die of hunger and starvation soon.
“Then there must be a lot of fruits in the fridge now?” I asked as my eyes land on the fridge.
“Yeah”
I walked towards the fridge, I opened it and my eyes grew wide in astonishment… the fridge just looks like a semi fruit store.
Reaching for a grape, cause I suddenly have a craving for something sour… I sit on a stool and watch Jerry dice some carrots.
“Right.. Jerry, if it’s not too much trouble.. can you make some hotdogs?” I asked in a very innocent voice.
He turned to me and I blinked at him innocently, I pout my l-ips slightly.. he laughed shortly and shook his head.
“Please stop giving me that look, Master would have my head if he found out” he said.
“So… does that mean you’ll make it?”
“Yeah”
“Thanks, buddy!” I thanked him, which he simply replied with a nod.
At that moment, I heard footsteps approaching the kitchen.. that should be Klaus, I guess he’s woken up.
After a few moments, he came into view… I smiled at him and wave him.
“Good morning, my prince charming!”
He walked towards me, he k-ssed my l-ips softly and smiled back at me.
“Good morning, baby, I knew you’d be here” he said.
“Good morning, Master” Jerry greeted Klaus without turning to face us.
I guess he doesn’t wanna see is getting all munchy.
“Good morning, Jerry!” Klaus replied.
He pulled away from me and walked towards the fridge, he opened it and took a bottle of water… He drank a few gulps and placed the leftover on the counter.
“Jerry, remember to dispose that!”
“Yes, sir!” Jerry replied.
He turned to walk towards me, but froze.. his eyes take in my outfit and he quickly rushed to me and swooped me in his arms.. then head out of the kitchen.
In a lightening speed, he’s back in our new room… He sat me on the bed and walked towards the closet.
A few moments later, he came back with one of my short shorts and helped me wear it… He glared at me as he does.
“Anastasia, can you be conscious of how you dress when other people are around?”
“It was just Jerry and I…”
“Yeah.. but you didn’t have any p-nty on and..” his eyes settled on my br-asts. “… your damn n-pples are pointing out!”
I looked down at myself and realized he’s right, I blushed.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t think of that”
He eyed me, he took my hand and led me to the sitting area in the room.. the room is very big that it actually has a small living room in,side.
We sat on a couch and he reached for the remote control, he turned on the TV and I’m shocked by the news that welcomed us..
Although I know about it already.. but I’m shocked at how those reporters exaggerate things.
*Last night… the CEO of Statham enterprise broke up with his ex girlfriend and announced his PA, Miss Claudia Benjamin as his fiancee!*
I frowned, though it’s just an act.. it’s just a plan to get Benjamin down, but I’m still feeling kinda jealous.
*Mr Statham’s ex girlfriend… Miss Anastasia Lopez, couldn’t bear the humiliation.. she committed suicide by running into a truck!*
I scoffed at the reporters words and turned to Klaus.
“I ran into a truck? Who gave the press this story?”
“That’s Marcus’s job” Klaus replied.
I chuckled lightly and shake my head.. I know only Marcus can make up these kinds of stories.
“Your car is now a truck.. maybe I should sell Matilda’s truck to you”
He raised an eyebrow.
“The one you already gifted to Graham to sell and use the money to repair my car’s bumper?”
Uh-oh.. he knows about that? Graham told him? I thought he didn’t want Klaus to know about it?
“Don’t be surprised, there was a recorder in my car that day.. I played it and heard your argument with Graham”
Oh! So he found out on his own…
“By the way, the money we’ll realize from that truck won’t be enough for my car’s bumper.. so, how do you intend on paying the balance?” He asked.
I laughed nervously and tried to get up, but he held me down.
“Are you trying to run away?”
I shake my head.
“Nothing, but… ”
“You’ll pay 1,900,000,000 to me”
“What?! Isn’t that too much?”
He shake his head and I frown.
“Are you trying to say that truck will only sell for a hundred dollars?”
“Yeah”
I narrowed my eyes at him.
“Baby, check it.. if I’m to sell that truck to you, how much would you buy it?”
“I won’t buy it, that truck is so, so, so outdated”
He smirked. “That’s what I’m saying”
Wait, did I just tied myself with a rope? Yup! I guess I just did!
“So.. pay up your debt my Mrs Statham!” He said pretending to be very serious.
I laughed.
“Well.. you know I’m broke, can I pay on instalment?”
“You can.. how much are you gonna pay?”
I did a little thinking and finally came to conclusion.
“I’ll pay $20 monthly!” I said.
He stared at me simply, he’s short of words…he grabbed me and laid my head on his lap, he started car-ssing my hair.
“I’m such a generous man, what sin did I commit that God had to punish me with a stingy wife?”
I laughed.
“Darling, it’s not stinginess.. it’s called resources management!” I correct him.
He shake his head, he leaned down and k-ssed my forehead.
“You’re impossible!”
Just then, his phone started ringing.. he reached for it on the table and check the caller’s ID.
“It’s Marcus, I’ll put him on speakerphone” he said.
I nod, then he answered the call.
“Marcus!”
I rolled my eyes.. what a special way of saying hello!
“Nicky, have you seen the news?”
“Yeah, you did a great job.. thanks”
Klaus said thanks? Oh my God! Is the sun rising from the west today?!
“Don’t mention, I’ll do anything for you my love… I love you baby”
I laughed at Klaus’ expression, he looked like he’s gonna puke.. he shuddered.
“Stop spouting nonsense!” Klaus scolded him before hanging up.
“Was that your boyfriend?” I teased him.
He glared at me. “He’s your husband!”
“Uh~oh~oh, I like!”
He slapped my mouth softly and I bite his hand.. he glared at me and I glared right back at him.. he shook his head.
There’s a soft knock on the door, we both know it’s Jerry since we’re the only people here.
“Master, Anna, breakfast is served!” He said.
I sprint off Klaus’ lap, he pulled me back and wrapped his arm around my wa-ist.. he frown at me.
“Why are you always jumping? It’s dangerous for a pregnant woman!”
I rolled my eyes.
“Fortunately, I’m not pregnant!” My eyes moved to the door. “Jerry, we’ll be down in a minute!”
“Ok, Anna…and I also made your hotdogs”
“You’re simply the best, Jerry”
Then I heard his footsteps fading away, Klaus scowled, his hand touching my stomach drew imaginary circles on my stomach.
“I don’t like how you’re so acquainted with the cook” jealousy dripping off his words.
“If I’m not acquainted with him, I’ll starve to death.. so, shut up and let’s go eat”
He leads me towards the door slowly, as it I’m an heavily pregnant woman.
“You won’t starve, it’s his job to cook your meals everyday”
“Mr know it all, let’s go eat now or I’mma pass out on you!”

Matilda’s pov 👠
“So.. you mean this news I’m hearing right now is fake?” Aunt Bell asked.. as she stares at the TV with a very deep frown.
“Yes, aunt” I replied.
I came over early to explain everything to her, before they released the news about Anastasia’s death.
“I don’t believe you, I want to speak with her.. call her!” She said.
I nod and quickly dialed Anastasia’s number, her phone rang for a very long time before she finally picked up.
“Hey, Tilda!” Her voice came.
I quickly put it on speakerphone, so aunt can hear.
“Tasia, aunt wanna confirm if the news is actually fake!”
“Ok.. can you please give your phone to her?”
“You’re on speakerphone!” I replied.
She cleared her throat.
“Good morning, aunt!” Anastasia greeted her.
Aunt Bell doesn’t joke with greetings, she said it shows sign of respect.
“The morning is not good if I don’t see your face to confirm.. change to video call” aunt Bell said.
We waited a few seconds and I received a video call request from Tasia, I switched to video call and Tasia’s face appeared.
“Aunt, can you see me now?” Tasia asked.
“Yes, well, you have to be very careful now.. I don’t know who that Benjamin is but from what I’ve been told.. he’s a very dangerous man… so stay safe for me ok?”
I wish I have a Aunt that’s genuinely worried about me this way… I’d feel so blessed.
“I will aunt.. how is Denzel doing?”
“He’s fine, but sleeping right now… doctor Hemsworth said he need enough rest”
Anastasia nod.
“Alright, aunt, I should go eat breakfast.. I’m hungry”
“Ok, ok, food is also important” aunt said.
I waved at Tasia and hanged up, I turned to aunt Bell.. she’s got a satisfied smile on her face.
“Well, aunt, I should get going… I need to head home and freshen up”
“Alright, dear, you’re a true friend to Anna.. may God bless you!”
“Amen.. thank you, aunt” I said and head out.

Authoress’ pov 👠
Benjamin’s residence….
Claudia gro-ned as she sat up on her bed, her hands on her head as she feels a slight pain.
She looked around and frown when she realized she’s back in her room…she tries to recall what happened and how she ended up here.
Then last night’s event rushed back to her mind..the door open and get mother walked in.
Her mother smiled when she saw Claudia’s awake..she rushed towards Claudia.
“You’re awake!”
Claudia simply glared at her mother..her mother looked happy.
“I watched the news, you’re finally engaged to Nicklaus” she said in genuine happiness.
“That’s none of your business!” She snapped at her mother. “Who brought me back home?”
“Nicklaus’s driver did”
Claudia nod, she smiled..even though it wasn’t Nicklaus that drove her home.. she’s still happy that Nicklaus cared about her.
She got off the bed and head towards her bathroom.
“Shut the door on your way out!” She said to her mother.
Her mother stared at her a few seconds and head out.. sadly.

Anastasia’s pov 👠
“That was aunt?” Klaus asked.
I scoffed and reached for a hotdog. “As if you don’t know!” I grumble.
He laughed and put a drumstick on my plate.. he’s such a scaredy cat, he didn’t say hello to aunt because he was scared aunt’s gonna scold him.
“I just wanted you to explain things clearer to aunt” he said.
“Say that to your trembling hands… scaredy cat!”
He looked down at his left hand on the table, it’s really trembling.
“Ok, fine, I was scared aunt’s gonna nag and scold me for pulling such a stunt” he defended him.
Well, I was scared too, I thought aunt’s gonna yell at me.. we ate in a five minutes silence before I spoke again.
“About Jack.. what are you gonna do with him?” I asked.
Bringing up Jack’s name makes my mind flashes back to what he did to me.. but it has happened and we must talk about it.
“Jack…”
Klaus clenched his jaw and stabbed on his drumstick very hærd.
“It’s your call” he said.
“My call?”
“Yeah.. you’ll be the one to punish him!” He replied.
I didn’t anything, I grabbed my glass of juice and take a sip… How can I punish my childhood, best friend? What if he didn’t do it intentionally?
Maybe I should speak with him… I should ask him what happened and why he did it?
But do I have the courage to face him now?
“Klaus, can I speak with Jack?”
“What?!” He growled.
“Please, even if it’s just two minutes.. and you’ll be there with me”
He thinks about it briefly and nod.
“But it shouldn’t be today” he said.
I nod… Just then his phone rang, he reached for it and answered it.
“Graham” he said and wait for Graham to speak.
I toned him off and picked the drumstick he had put on my plate earlier.. and take a bite.
“I’ll soon leave for the office, mom and Rhoda are waiting for me” he said after hanging up.
Then I remembered his mom’s promise last night, I guess he’s gonna get another earful today.
“Also, I’m gonna pick up Claudia today and…”
He swallowed his words when he saw that I’m glaring at him…he gulped.
“.. I’m just doing it to perfect our act”
“Really?”
“Yeah.. if I don’t pretend to be gentle with her, her father won’t buy our lie.. and also, if Claudia think I’ve really fell for her.. we’ll easily manipulate her and get our desired results”
His explanation is kinda logical, but getting all cozy with that snake is not a very good idea… It doesn’t sit well with me.
But it’s all for our big plan, we shouldn’t leave any looph0les.. there shouldn’t be any flaws.
“Fine!”
Klaus smiled and winked at me. “You know you’re my only love!”
I scoffed and faced my food… he’s typing on his phone, I guess he’s dialing evil Claudia’s number.
“Hey, Claudia!” He said.
Hey Claudia?! As if they’re very close friends!
“Nicky, good morning”
Nicky?! Really?! She’s sick!
“I’ll pick you up and we’ll go to work together!”
“Really?! I…. ”
Klaus hanged you before she could finish her words.
“Why didn’t you let her finish her words?” I asked.
“With my wife throwing daggers at me, how can I speak with another woman for a very long time”
I smirked…at least his conscience is still working.
