Cassandra’s pov
Jayden and I sat on a sofa, with Stephen, Vero and Isabella sitting on different sofas -Stephen and Vero were glaring at us, while Isabella was just grinning.
I looked away from them and looked at my fingers on my lap, as I was drowning in embarrassment.
My mind flashed back to their reaction when they arrived the scene and it’s just making me feel even worse.
★FLASHBACK★
“Uncle Stephen, my dad and mom are unclad!” Isabella shouted.
Hearing this, Jayden quickly wrapped his arms around me and flipped us together with the couch, using it as a shield to hide our bodies.
I covered my face with my palms and grumbled coherently in embarrassment, even though Isabella couldn’t see us anymore.
“It’s fine, baby” Jayden said.
I snatched my hands from my face and glared at him for saying that.
“It’s not fine, our daughter just saw our uncladness and now she’s inviting other people to come watch too!”
My breathe suddenly quickened. Oh my God, am I having a panic attack right now?
“Baby…”
“It’s all your fault, why didn’t you lock the door?” I queried him.
“No one has ever come here before, I didn’t she’s gonna venture here and besides, I thought she was with your friend”
I gaped at him and pushed him away from me slightly and pointed a finger at him.
“You’re impossible, how could… ”
I shut my mouth when I heard rapid footsteps approaching, I tilted my head and took a peek and saw Stephen rushed to Isabella with Vero hurrying behind too.
Oh my world, my life is over! what are they doing here? Most importantly, how am I gonna explain this situation to Vero?
“Princess? We heard you shouting, what’s wrong?” Stephen asked Isabella.
Isabella pointed towards us and I quickly duck, to save myself some dignity.
“Mom and dad are unclad, but they’ve hide -are they playing hide and seek?” she asked innocently.
Jayden and I exchanged looks at her questions and we shook our heads, hide and seek indeed.
If only she knew we might be giving her a baby brother or sister soon, it’s not as if I’m rushing to have a baby with Jayden or anything though.
“Your mom and dad are unclad?!” Vero exclaimed loudly.
I took a peek and saw her looking around, as if she’s searching for us but Isabella pointed at our couch again.
“They’re hiding there, let’s go play hide and seek with them!” she said happily.
My eyes grew wide as I started chanting “no” mentally, Vero snapped her head towards us and before I could duck, she’s already caught me.
I waved shyly at her as she narrowed her eyes at me, I grabbed Jayden’s flesh and pinched him real hærd, he hissed in pain.
“What was that for, baby?”
“Do something to send them away, I’m drowning in shame right now!” I snapped at him in a whisper.
“Oh”
But Vero pushed Stephen away and was already handling Isabella, she squat to Isabella’s level and held her hands.
“Isabella, your mom and dad s-cks at hide and seek game, how about we go to the living room where there’s enough space to play ours?”
Isabella looked towards our direction.
“But they were laughing and hugging, it’s fun” she said.
“I know, but they gross now because I believe they’ve spit all over their bodies and did many nasty things…. ”
Stephen interrupted Vero with his loud uncontrollable laughter, he snorted and held his stomach while laughing.
“They’ve done many nasty things like banging and c-mming… Ouch!”
He didn’t complete his words as Vero smack the back of his head, he stopped laughing and gave Vero a confused look which she returned with a glare.
“Mind what you say to the kid, don’t corrupt her innocent mind!” she scolded him.
I took a glance at Jayden beside me and saw he’s already glaring daggers at Stephen.
“He’s so getting it from me later!” he growled lowly.
I scoffed.
“Are you sure?” I asked and he nodded, I scoffed again. “It seems like we’re gonna be the ones getting it from them later!” I said.
His brows furrowed and he wanted to say something, but Vero spoke before him.
“Let’s go play in the living room, your mom and dad can continue their game of hide and seek” Vero said very loudly, putting emphasis on the hide and seek.
“Ok” Isabella agreed.
I sighed in relief when I heard their footsteps fading away, I took a peek again and smiled when I saw they’re gone.
“Baby, can we just do a quickie?” Jayden asked.
I quickly jumped away from him, but hissed quietly when I felt pains in my below.
“Do the quickie with your charger!” I nodded at his wristwatch and started picking up my torn clothes.
“But…”
“Stay away from me and recharge your battery, we have a lot of Q&A -I’ll go take a shower” I said.
★END OF FLASHBACK★
“You two deserve an accolade, I didn’t know you’d advance to that level so soon” Stephen said jokingly, but Vero pinched him on the lap and he gro-ned.
“Will you be serious for once?” she asked him.
“Yes, and I’m being serious” he said.
Vero simply rolled her eyeballs and turned to me, she squinted her eyes -goodness, this is the expression I don’t like.
I have braced myself and was expecting some scoldings from her, but surprisingly she leaped from her sofa and pulled me up and broke into a wide smile.
“How are you feeling? Can you walk? I heard the first time is quite painful, I mean are you feeling pains anywhere? I told you to watch some of those por… ”
My eyes moved towards Isabella and I cleared my throat loudly to cut her off, I already know what she’s trying to say but I don’t want her to say it -after all Isabella is just a kid who gets curious about everything.
What if she asks what’s p-rn? What am I gonna say? She’s so smart and might just look it up herself.
“What? Why did you cut me off? Are you shy?” she asked.
I shook my head and nodded towards Isabella.
“There’s a kid here, you can’t say it casually” I reminded her of Isabella’s presence.
“Oh, right” she coughed awkwardly.
She pushed me back on our sofa (the one Jayden and I were sitting), then glided back to hers and sat down.
“I only have one question” Stephen said.
We all looked at him expectantly, he sighed.
“Why did you guys leave the door open?” he asked.
I raised an eyebrow at Jayden, secretly pushing the question to him and let him answer it alone.
“Er… Isabella wasn’t home and I didn’t think she’s gonna come back so soon” he answered, giving Vero a pointed look which made her shrink in her sofa.
“Yeah, about that…” Stephen cleared his throat. “.. I went over to Veronica’s cafe to get a cup of coffee, but unfortunately my danger alarm started beeping and when she asked about it, I had no choice but to tell her what’s wrong -she’s my future wife you know…”
Vero elbowed his ribcage for saying that and he gro-ned.
“…so we just rushed over” he explained.
Jayden gritted his teeth and balled his fist, I guess he’s trying very hærd to refrain himself from punching Stephen.
“You could have just called me on the phone like you normally do” he gritted out.
Stephen simply laughed and shrugged.
“What can I say, my legs and mind has a mind of their own, I find it hærd to control them recently” he said.
“You… ”
I placed my hand on Jayden’s lap to stop him, he took a deep breath and glared maliciously at Stephen.
“Wait, Jayden your heart is weak how did you manage to pull off that stuff?” he asked.
“What stuff?” Jayden and Veronica asked at once.
I cleared my throat to catch Stephen’s attention and nodded towards Isabella, but Stephen being himself didn’t pay heed to my warning.
“How did you manage to bang to your wife with your weak heart?”
“Bang?!” Isabella asked loudly, giving her attention to us. “I know banging” she said.
We all (Vero, Jayden and I) glared at Stephen disapprovingly, warning him silently to correct his mistake right away.
He released a nervous laugh and faced Isabella.
“It’s not banging, princess”
“You said bang, is bang not banging?” she asked.
“No, I said dang”
“But you… ”
“You misheard me, princess, I said dang ok”
“Oh”
I sighed and shook my head, Jayden’s such a responsible man, how did he ended up having a friend like Stephen? Life is so unbelievable.
Just then we heard the doorbell ring, I wanted to go get it but Jayden stopped me and reached for a remote control on the table.
He pressed a button and the door open, I rolled my eyeballs, what a lazy @ss -Kelvin walked in.
“Good morning, Mr Grassi” he greeted Jayden with a bow.
“Morning” Jayden replied.
Kelvin also greeted us with a bow, before handing a bag to Jayden and dropped some photos on the table.
“It’s done, sir”
“Ok, take the rest of the day off -you can go on a date with your girlfriend”
“Huh?” Kelvin asked as if he’s shocked.
“What? You’re giving him a day off?” Stephen asked, he’s also wearing the same shocked expression as Kelvin.
Jayden smiled and nodded, but Kelvin shook his head in disagreement.
“You’ve never smiled at me before, have I done something wrong and you’re trying to fire me?” Kelvin asked.
Jayden dropped the bag on the foot of the sofa, he pulled me closer and k-ssed my forehead.
“I’m in a good mood” he said.
“Me too!” Isabella shouted, she jumped on Jayden’s lap and k-ssed his cheek.
We all laughed at her, but Kelvin didn’t laugh, he’s just staring at Jayden in shock -he still haven’t recover from his shock, I guess it’s gonna take him a few minutes to recover.
“You must have been a strict boss” I whispered in Jayden’s ear.
“I guess” he replied.
