“What happened to you?” Peter quickly asked
“Nothing dear.. It was just a scratch”
“No.. It doesn’t look to me like a mere scratch..it looks fresh.. Who did this to you?”
“No–one”
“I must get to the bottom of this!”
“Peter please if you love me you won’t interfer”
“I love you that’s why am doing this for you…Janet tell me who did this!”
“Okay.. It was Mr Aliyu.. My husband’s friend!” I cried
“What?.. Okay i will be right back!”

Peter banged the door and left.. I just wished nothing bad happened.. I kept on praying and waiting for Peter’s return
Just then.. Peter came in.
“Peter? What happened” i looked deep into his eyes
He was just grunting around
“He is gone!”
“Gone? How”
“I killed your worst nightmare!”
“What!! Aliyu is dead?”
“Yes baby.. And no one will find out..let’s just leave here”
“Now?”
“Yes!..”
I quickly wore my slippers and off we went
Minutes later a bus parked in front of us.. And Peter beckoned me to enter
There was a lady driving the bus.. She looked too familiar
It was Sarah the detective.. I said to myself “What is happening here?”
An hour later..i found myself in front of a beautiful mansion.. We came down and Peter held my hand.. I asked what i was doing here but no one answered

“Haa! Welcome Madam Janet.. Am Kingsley ..Oga Peter’s steward.. Welcome to your new home!”
I looked confused.. Was i being trapped in a RAPE CYCLE or a CAPE CYCLE?

“Leave? You ain’t going no where” laughed Sarah
“Peter?” I asked helplessly
“You can’t leave Jane” Peter bowed his head
That was when i knew life struck me so hærd.. The man i fell in love with betrayed me!
I was directed to my room in a forceful way.. On getting to the room, i saw two other girls..i guess they were roommates
They were mute for a while until one had to break the silence
“Hi am Rose..and this is Fayisat” pointing at her other roommate
“And you are?” Rose expecting an answer
I just looked away.. Found an old dusty bed.. Sat there lost in thoughts.. Rose felt unhappy though but she found her way and sat down next to me..
For some minutes.. She said
“I understand how you feel… But there is nothing you can do about it.. I was taken away from my parents at the age of 12.. Because my parents were divorced due to my mother’s constant battering from my dad and since then this became my home.. I slept with older men just to make a living.. Took all kinds of hærd drugs.. Sent on homicide killings and aborted more than 18 pregnancies..” Rose said eagerly
I was caught up in her story… I felt her pain.. Then i spoke up
“What?!.. You did all those?”
“Yes dear.. You just have to fit in.. You will soon get used to it”
Fayisat laughed behind.. And drew close
“Well you are welcome.. But before you fit in properly.. You must sleep with at least your roommates everyday” Fayisat said
“Like making love with you both?.. Being a L-SBIAN??”
“Yes!” Both chorused
“My christian belief rejects such” i said
“Who cares about Christianity.. You must survive!” Fayisat said
“Its true though” Rose interrupted
My God something so wrong is about happening.. But i couldn’t escape.. I just had to play along.. Hope might arrive some day!
