Priestess : Afam! don’t talk like that, no matter what, the king is still your father and you can not deny that, Afam, you are a kind man main looking at you, and you have a good heart like your mother Azuka,
plea-se consider the calamity and the people you have killed in Ejime village, and also consider the men who died in the forest just to get the RED VULTURE to appease your spirit, plea-se forgive them
Afamefula : No I can’t and will never forgive them
priestess : you can Afam, forget about everything they did to you, they have realized their mistake, plea-se find a place in your heart to forgive them, they are very sorry (As the priestess was still talking to Afamefula, the king, his cabinets, obiora and Nnana all knee down and started pleading for forgiveness, although they are not seeing Afam but they knew that he was there, when Afam saw the king and the others on their knees, tears dropped from his eyes, with that he disappeared)
priestess : you all should get up, he’s gone (she said and they all stood up)
king : Has he forgiven us?
Priestess : I don’t know for that, but first I will slaughter this RED VULTURE, that will tell if he has forgiven your kingdom (so she took the RED VULTURE and slaughter it, after that she poured the blood on Afam’s grave, immediately she poured the blood, it rained that moment and st©pped)
King : is like he has forgiven us (he said excitedly)
Priestess : (in a loud voice) don’t get excited yet, he haven’t forgiven you people yet because rain wasn’t the sign of his forgiveness but darkness
king : but why did it rain if he haven’t forgiven us?
priestess : it rained because of the VULTURE I slaughtered, remember is a sacred VULTURE, so The sign of Afam forgiveness is darkness
Elder Akumo : but great priestess, what if darkness did not come?
priestess : Then consider your kingdom doom, anyway let’s wait to know if darkness will come, but if it did not come, I will go back to my cave and consult the great goddess
king : I just for darkness to come
Elder Anene: I pray too your highness
Nnana : (talking to obiora) if darkness did not come, know that we are in big problem

priestess : we have waited for long, but there is no sign of darkness, that shows that Afam haven’t forgiven your kingdom, I will advise you all go home, while I return to my cave and consult the great goddess to know if there is another alternative to appease Afam’s spirit (She said and they all turned to go home sadly, As they were about to leave Afam’s grave, all of a sudden a heavy thun-der b!ow, followed by rain, before anything could happen, darkness covered the kingdom, and the priestess smiled for the first time)
Priestess : (smiling) finally it is done, Afam has forgiven your kingdom, you are now free ( she said and the king and others jumped up for and they embr@ce themselves)
elder Akumo : Thank you great priestess for saving us, we are really grateful for this
king : I don’t how to thank you for this great priestess, you have really done enough for us by saving our lives, but don’t worry, I shall come to your cave one of this days to show appreciation
priestess : is okay, till then, I think I will take my leave, I have done what I c@m£ here to do, anyway I wish your kingdom well (she said and after that she disappeared, while the king and the others return home excitedly)
When Nnana got home he was very surprised to see that his father can see, with excitement he hvgged him.

Throu-ghout that day, things began to change in Ejime village, the people who was down with strange illness recovered, even the multi-ple boils on elder mba b©dy disappeared and he got back to his feet.

The whole villagers rejoice, singing, and dancing celebr@ting the restoration of their kingdom.

Three days later, the king summoned Nnana and obiora and he reward them handsomely for risking their lives for the kingdom by bringing the RED VULTURE.

The king also went to the houses of those that lost their love ones in the forest and compasate them with hvge some of money, and he also promise them that their love ones that died in the forest name shall be remembered in the village and he kept to his word.

One year later, the Queen bec@m£ pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy and the king named him Afamefula.

Nnana on the other hand later got married to Nkechi and she bear him a son as well, Obiora also got married too but he still missed his twin brother obinna.

The king later Abolish the tradition of killing strangers, And they started welcoming strangers, And that was how peace c@m£ to Ejime village and the people bec@m£ happy once again.
