Mr Philip dropped a bombshell at the moment he saw the blood that was pumping out from his wife’s head,he became so astonished,his eyes cleared,it’s as if something went out from his body,he stood there no movement with his mouth wide opened and his body shaking,he started sweating so much like someone that came out from the bathroom without drying up his body.

Eva saw the stage her mother was,she stood up and rushes to her immediately,she saw the blood and cried out.

“Mother! Mother!
She cried out and shaked her no respond,she laid there like a dead wood.

She rushed to Mr Philip and started hitting him letting all her anger on him.

“You wicked man what have you done to my Mother? What have you done to her?
She cried out.

She went back to her mother and shaking her to wake her up,
“Please Mother wake up! Don’t do this to me! Please wake up Mother”
She cried out so bitterly.

Meanwhile when the fighting was going on,Mrs Cantu overheard them and called the Social Welfare Agent and told them to bring the cops along with them that it’s urgent and a matter of life and death,She gave them the address and they came as soon as possible since its a day time.

The neighbours gathered at his door steps banging the door and shouting at him to open the door which he refused.

When the Social Welfare Workers arrived they became so surprised because they happened to be the same Social workers that came last weeks ago and they were told that the family live in peace there’s nothing like disunity.

“Mr Philp you are being surrendered by the police,open the door right now”
The police man shouted and banged on the door.

On hearing that,he became so scared that he even pissed on himself,Eva rushed and opened the door for them,they rushed in.

“This wicked Man killed my mother! He killed her!
Eva cried out.

“Mr Philip you are under arrest for the murder of your wife Mrs Augustina and anything you say here will be use against you in the court of law”
The police man shouted and brought out the handcuff.

He brought out his hands since he knew that there’s no where for him to escape and his cup has filled,they arrested him,the neighbours were cursing and calling him all kinds of names as the cops took him to their car and drove out.

“Look at my friend lying down lifelessness,I saw this coming,I told you to report that bastard before he end up killing you but you never listened you keep on telling me that he will change now have you seen he has succeed in killing you my friend,what will happen to Eva now? What will become of her? She is too tender to be left alone,Who will take good care of her now?
She cried out so bitter.

“Aunt my Mom is gone! She is gone and left me all alone,I got nobody again”
Eva cried out.

“It’s well Eva,you have me okay and i will take good care of you”
She hugged her.

“Why did you lied to us that your family lived in peace when you know things was not going well?
The Social worker asked her.

“It was all my mother’s fault she never wanted to report that wicked man she keeps on believing that he will change one day now see the result of it all,I want that wicked man to rot in jail for killing my own mother,he deserve to be torture badly and sentences to death”
Eva cried.

The neighbours arranged her funeral at home since she got no relatives after the funeral they took her body to the ceremtary along side with the social workers.

“I hope you are not thinking to bring that Eva to start living with us? If it’s what is in your head you better be ready to sign a divorce paper”
Mrs Cantu’s husband said to her.

“But my husband,Eva is so tender to be left alone,who will take good care of her?
She asked feeling so concerned.

“That’s none of your business,she is not your relatives if you want to go against my order then get ready to sign a divorce paper as I said before”
He said being so mean and serious.

Mrs Cantu don’t know what to do anymore,she don’t want to end her marriage,a home she has been building for nineteen years now.

After the burial,the Social Worker walked up to Mrs Cantu along side with Eva.

“What will happen to the young Eva now? Who will be responsible for taking good care of her?
The lady asked her since she knew that Mrs Cantu is a very good of late Mrs Augustina.

“I will love to but due to the situation of financial challenges we are facing I don’t know how we will be able cope with another person living under our roof,I don’t know if you really understand what i mean Mrs”
She said.

“Okay then what did you suggest for her?
The other lady asked.

“Mrs you are in the right position to do that”
She said.

“Since she got no relatives and no one to take good care of her,we have to keep her at the orphanage she will be getting good care of there”
The lady said.

She nodded her head in agreement of what she said,
“Yeah! Yeah! that’s good!

“We will be taking you to the orphanage,where they will take good care of you”
The Social worker said to Eva.

She didn’t utter any word to her nor even showed any reaction about what she said,she is sad and sad but her poor mother’s death.

We drove back to the neighbourhood for Eva to pick few of the things before going to the Orphanage.

Mrs Cantu helped her out in packing the things she need.

“Eva I gonna miss you,I really want to take good care of you but I can’t do that”
She sounded teary.

“Aunt I understand,I know your husband hate us so there’s no how he will allow you to bring me home to leave with your guys”
She said.

“I will be coming often to see you,I will be bringing you a lot of things okay,I know that a good foster parents will adopt you and take good care of you like there own”
She said and hugged feeling so sad.

She took her backpack as they went outside,she padlock the door,Eva stood at the doorstep for a few minutes remembering how she and the mother were,how they used to play together,cooking and do many other things,she now remembered how the wicked man used to maltreat her mother and how he killed her,tears was dropping from her eyes as she recalled all those things.

Mrs Cantu wiped out her tears and said to her,
“Its well my child,let’s go okay”
She held her hand as they walked to the car.

She hugged her so tight,
“I will be coming to see you as I said okay,don’t feel left alone because I will always be there for you”
She pecked her on the forehead and gave her the backpack.

She watches her as she went into the car,she waved at her as they drove off.

They arrived at the Orphanage in the night around eight pm,they signed the necessary things that are required before leaving.

Aunt Margarita took her to the room,she showed her bed to her,the room is a big hall and the beds are in bunks,the tender age like from a year and four stayed at the front,the girls stayed at the left while the guys at the right side but their sides were divided with a large curtain that is not transparent.

Everybody has gone to bed expect Fred,Eva climbed to her bed is at the last one at the bunks of five,she couldn’t sleep,she faced the wall crying a slient cry with a bitter heart.

Fred noticed the movement,he opened the curtain small and peeped,he saw Eva climbing on on the bed.

“A new girl in our midst! What could be her story of being to this Orphanage?
Fred thought and later fall asleep.

In the morning,the bell ranged for them to wake up and shower,they were all surprised to see the new girl wondering when she came,she followed the other girls to bath,she didn’t talk to anyone.

After the shower,they all went to the the dinning table to have their food,the cook served them one after the other.

Eva was staring at her food without touching it,she got no appitte to eat,Fred noticed the sadness on her face.

“She is not eating,what’s eating her up?
He asked being so concerned about her.

“I think I have to go and talk to her”
He said and took his food to her sit.

“Hey,Am Fred!
He introduced with smiles.

She look at her with any word nor smile.

“May i sit?
He asked and she didn’t say anything to him.

“I guess I have to sit then”
He sat down.

“I have been starring at you for some minutes now why are you not eating your food?
He asked.

“Because i don’t want to eat this”
She sounded sadly.

“Oh you don’t like the food?
He asked.

“I got no appitte to eat,I need to be with my mom”
She sounded sadly.

“Why are you here then?
He asked confusingly.

“I can’t be with her because she was killed yesterday by that wicked man”
She cried out and all eyes went on her.

“Oh my dear,Am so sorry for not”
He said feeling so pity for her.

He wiped out her tears and consoled her,people were wondering if she knew her because he talk and consoled her.
