A lot of things sure happened that night.. The police had showed up after the dust had cleared,.. It’s a shame that they can’t be relied on… Marcus was later arrested and taken into custody, The police then asked Me and Gina to give a statement about what happened and we did, after that everyone dispersed.
Julia was excited everything was over, despite what Marcus wanted to do to her, she pleaded for leniency for him when the police promised to show him pepper 🌶… He later confessed and exposed those that were involved with him and they too were arrested, because of his easy cooperation, He was given a lighter prison sentence in court.

After that, life was back to normal.. Julia had proceeded to launch the new branch of AMTEX in Abuja, and there was quite a lot of crowd in the opening of the new branch.
After the opening of the new branch of AMTEX, Julia and I returned to Lagos in style.. After experiencing our journey together, she booked a flight for us back to Lagos and I have to admit it, it was very relaxing and comfortable.
After we had arrived in Lagos 2 hours later, Julia and I parted ways… The first thing I did after I left the airport was to see my mom, She was excited to see me and asked why I had suddenly disappeared and I didn’t hesitate to tell her everything that happened, My mother was excited that I was alive and suggested that I take Julia’s job offer and leave my driving job.

A week passed since I returned from Abuja, I resumed my work at Flashco and I was generously paid for driving Julia to Abuja…
And speaking of Julia, we haven’t talked since we parted ways at the airport.. I’ve been thinking hærd about her job offer… It’s not like I don’t want it but Women have their own wahala and the unexpected might happen, besides I didn’t want to make myself cheap in front of her. So I decided to consult my fellow driver and friend Johnson, his response was quite obvious as soon as I told him everything.

Johnson ➡ Jacko… I swear your Brain no dey function well… See job dey you go get cool cash you dey here dey drive? Besides from where you get that pride from? Yiu dey say you no want look cheap… My brother, nobody w-t dey hustle money look cheap, in fact when money dey.. Person no dey look cheap.. I abeg go do the job jare.

Jack ➡ Johnson! You too like money.
.

Johnson ➡ Who no like better thing? Besides that Julia olosho w-t yiu dey follow, if na me be you, I go impregnate am.

Jack ➡ Why you come talk that? Your talk no reasonable at all.

Johnson ➡ Guy! You be man at all.. You no dey see opportunity? At the age way she dey, she go fit marry… I punch your ticket for her w-mb.

Jack ➡ Guy.. You dey craze!

Johnson ➡ Dey there dey form..

After hearing Johnson’s talk, I decided to go back to Julia and accept her job offer. Later that day as I got home, I s₱0tted Johanna in a car parked in front of my house.. I approached her and she opened her car for me to get in.

Jack ➡ Hey!
.

Johanna ➡ Hey..it’s been a while..
.

Jack ➡ Yeah.. Nice ride by the way.

Johanna ➡ Thanks… I’ve missed you dearly..
.

Jack ➡ Is that a love confession?
.

Johanna ➡ (laughs) No.. You know what I mean.. I missed your third leg.
.

Jack ➡ (laughs) Oh… Well about that.. I’m seeing someone now and we’re going steady.

Johanna ➡ I see… So you love her?
.

Jack ➡ I do..
.

Johanna ➡ I’m so happy for you.. Well, I’m not here for us to f-ck.. I also have some news for you… My husband and I split.. So I’ve gotten half of his stuff, so I’ll be relocating overseas to meet with my kids..

Jack ➡ I’m sorry this happened to you

Johanna ➡ It’s okay.. I asked for it.

Jack ➡ So this is our last meeting then?
.

Johanna ➡ Yeah..
.

In that moment, Johanna reached out and k-ssed me, we k-ssed lustfully for a while before we stopped, after that, she removed my wedding ring and gave it to me.

Johanna ➡ Here.. I want you to have this.
.

Jack ➡ I can’t take this… It’s yours..
.

Johanna ➡ Take it.. I don’t really need it… Besides this is my parting gift to you.. It costs 600,000naira. You can sell it if you want but I’d like you to keep it in case you ever think of getting married.

My ear twitched as i heard the amount, I collected the ring 💍 and thanked her for the gift.. After that, Johanna and I said our last farewells and then parted ways, I came down from the car and she drove away… I stood and watched as her car disappeared into the distance.. I looked at the ring she gave me and shoved it into my pocket… By tomorrow God willing. I’ll be heading straight to AMTEX to get back my job.

What a night! Everything happened so fast and the ending was unexpected.. Here I thought I was going to die but thankfully God intervened, Jack was the hero of the hour but the police took all the credit.

Marcus was arrested that night, but before he was taken away, I made sure I gave him a final farewell by firing his a** on the s₱0t. The inspector of Police who was sent by my Uncle promised me that Marcus would be dealt with severely, … Knowing the animalistic nature of the Nigerian police force, I pleaded leniency on Marcus part asking them to spare his life and allowed him to face Judgment in court.

As promised, Jack stayed with me closely in case of any uprising threats and speaking of threats.. Marcus had given out the names of the BOD that collaborated with him to get rid of me, because of his cooperation, Marcus was given a light prison sentence.. Before I went back to Lagos, I made sure I fired all the BODs and in return for Gina’s help in my rescue, she became my personal assistant and I gave her the privilege to choose new board members..

Finally, The new AMTEX branch here in Abuja was finally opened and it sure was quite a grand opening because the media were there and some couple of politicians showed up as well, besides their reason for coming was just to share the s₱0tlight and boost their public image.

After the opening of the new AMTEX branch, Jack and I headed back to Lagos but this time around, We had a first class flight 🛩 no more traveling on the road.
2 hours later, we arrived at Lagos and went our separate ways… I still reminded Jack that my job offer was still open and as I promised, that I would triple his fee… He said he needed a time to think 💭 about it and that he would give me his reply, after that he was gone.

I was relieved when I resumed back at work the next day… There was a little change of atmosphere at AMTEX, everything else looked strange.
With the new management in the company , AMTEX was better than it was before and work was done more faster and efficiently… Every one was busy dedicating their time to do their work.. I too was stacked with work, and I was back to my busy self but I was sometimes distracted with the thought of Jack.
A week had passed since we arrived at Lagos together and there was no sign of him not even a call, Now that Marcus was out of the picture he and I were now steady couples but I was surprised that he didn’t show up… I couldn’t help myself thinking about him, I really missed him so much,.. I wanted to call him but I didn’t have his number, even if I did I wouldn’t call him, I don’t want to look so cheap or desperate.

So since he was unavailable, I decided to use my time wisely.. Now that I had gotten a new lease in life, I decided that I wouldn’t dedicate all my time to work, I decided to hang out and socialize.. I wasn’t quite familiar with the cool fun places in Lagos but I manage to hang out anyways… During my wanderings, I met with one lady at a supermarket, Her name is Denise.

Denise is one those wealthy housewives that do nothing except only to gossip and to sit at home and look pretty for their husbands.. I’ve seen lots of lazy women but none of them was as lazy as Denise but despite that she’s smart and an all rounder.
Her husband owns lots of petroleum wells in places around Nigeria 🇳🇬 and because of that, Denise never lacks cash, Her husband always sends her money to sustain her, so while fooling her husband that she does nothing, she uses the money and buys plots of land and shares from companies,.. What she did was a smart move and I respected her for that.

As soon as Denise and I met, we became friends.. Sometimes after work, I would visit her house and talk or sometimes it’s the other way around.. I love having her around because she’s a funny person and always has interesting topics to talk about.

One Sunday evening, I was in my house together with her and we were talking and the topic we were discussing about was centered around Men.. I told her about my relationsh¡p with Marcus and then Jack and she listened with rapt attention, after I was done, she spoke her mind about the matter.

Denise ➡ Men! They’re annoying but interesting creatures. They’re aren’t like us.
.

Julia ➡ I don’t understand.
.

Denise ➡ Well, let me be straight forward! We women are complicated and full of problems.. We hærdly make our minds about what we want and we tend to put our problems on men.. But men are different.. They’re a direct and they know what they want..

Julia ➡ Its a shame you’re slandering your own kind… Men are deceitful liars.
.

Denise ➡ (laughs) My dear Julia.. We are the biggest liars.. Men lie to woo or impress us but we women lie in almost everything we do..
.

Julia ➡ Whatever.. Men will always be men.
.

Denise ➡ Anyways… Do you love this Jack of yours?
.

Julia ➡ Of course I love him.. I wouldn’t be with him if I wasn’t.
.

Denise ➡ Hmm, it’s rare to see a well made woman date a guy with almost nothing… So will you marry him if he ask you to?
.

Julia ➡ No, no, no, no… No way.
.

Denise ➡ Why not? Because he’s not your standard?
.

Julia ➡ No.. It’s not that… It’s just that.. I don’t want marital life.
.

Denise ➡ What??? Did I just hear you right?
.

Julia ➡ Yes.. I don’t want any to do with marriage.. Being married s-cks.
.

Denise ➡ Unbelievable.. Julia… Are you sure you’re okay?… I don’t believe a word you just said… In my opinion, I think you’re afraid of commitment.

Julia ➡ What? No.. I’m a committed person.. I’m committed to my work..
…

Denise ➡ Work is different.. It’s just that you’re afraid of having kids and being saddled with motherly responsibilities.. I’ve seen women like you.. They all claim they don’t want marriage but in truth, it’s the commitment you’re afraid of..

Julia ➡ So what?.. I love my life as it is and I don’t want any distractions.. Kids are a nuisance and being a housewife is not my thing.. It’s a just of time and potential.

Denise ➡ Ahem… So you’re saying I’m wasting my time, huh?
.

Julia ➡ Sorry.. I didn’t mean it that way.
.

Denise ➡ Look Julia.. Marriage is like a test.. You’ll have to be patient to bear with it and kids, they’re the best gift or treasure a woman could ever have. A woman’s pride and joy is her children..

Julia ➡ Kids are a distraction… I can’t tolerate distraction.
.

Denise ➡ Better come to your senses.. Women who follow this path end up regretting in the end.
.

Julia ➡ Not all of them.
.

Denise ➡ Yes but most of them.. God! Whoever raised you didn’t do great job.
.

Julia ➡ Don’t ever say that.. My uncle did a great job.
.

Denise ➡ Oh.. So you were raised by a man? No wonder.. Look take my advice if you want. You’re cheating yourself and besides your life is great, you’re rich and a smart woman, and you have a real man in your life.. You shouldn’t be afraid of getting married.

Julia ➡ Thanks for the advise but I’ll stick to my plan.. I love the way I live my life.
.

Denise ➡ Well.. If that’s what you want go ahead but remember.. Our destiny isn’t in our hands.. It’s in God’s hands and your Fate has already be decided.. The best part about it is, you never know how your life is going to turn out… If you don’t mind.. I’d like to go back to my crib.. It’s getting late.. See you around Julia. Have a good night.

Julia ➡ You too Denise.
.

Denise soon left the house and I was soon left alone in the house,.. After a while, I took my bath and laid down on my bed checking out the gross market of drugs 💹… In that moment, I began to think about what Denise and I talked about… Marriage has never ever crossed my mind before, besides I wonder what’s the joy in marriage 💍? It’s just a burden,… First one has to deal with the kids, and then there’s the housework stuff and all that commitment.. I can’t handle all that.. Besides I’m committed to my work, i can’t dedicate myself to another thing.. Maybe I can handle deal with relationsh¡ps but marriages is definitely out of the picture, After a while of thought, I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

The next morning… I got up early for work, after a quick bath and breakfast, I was soon ready… I soon left my house and drove straight to AMTEX.

After I arrived there moments later, I went straight into the building and found out there was a commotion going on..
I heard cheers and praises and as I got closer I saw Gina amidst the employees.. As soon as they saw me, they all dispersed.

Julia ➡ What is going on here?
.

Gina ➡ Nothing ma. It’s just that the employees were showing their happiness for me.
.

Julia ➡ What happened? Did you hit a jack pot?
.

Gina ➡ Well actually.. I’m pregnant.
.

Julia ➡ Pregnant!? You’re pregnant?
.

Gina ➡ Yes.. I just found out last night.
.

Julia ➡ Congratulations Gina.
.

Gina ➡ Thank you ma..
.

I left Gina’s place and went straight to my office, as I got there, I took my seat and began to think about Gina’s news.. I can’t believe she pregnant? She’s not married but I can’t believe she allowed herself to be knocked up.. I just hope the father of her child agrees to bear the responsibility.. I soon brushed the thought off my mind and began to work by checking out some doc-ments on my table, while I was doing that, I heard a knock on my door, without looking up, I told whoever it was to come in, I heard the door open and the sound of footsteps heading my way, the person stood in front of my table waiting for me to say something but when he saw I was busy, he called out my name. I looked up to see the person that had the audacity to call out my name bluntly,.. I was shocked when I saw who it was.

Julia ➡ Jack!? You’re here?
.

Jack ➡ Good morning.. Sorry if I sounded too rash.. I saw you were busy and..
.

Julia ➡ No, no. It’s okay.. It’s been long since I last saw you.. You didn’t even call. I was afraid that you wouldn’t show up.
.

Jack ➡ Sorry, I had to deal with some things.. But now I’m here… Uhm.. I hope your job offer still stands cause I just quit my other job.
.

I smiled to myself as I heard that, I stood up and went straight in front of jack.. I sat at the edge of the table looking at me coyly.
.

Julia ➡ Took you long enough to quit.. I was hoping you’d accept my offer earlier bur you had to wait out until I even forgot about you.
.

Jack ➡ so is that a no?
.

Julia ➡ No.. You’ve already gotten the job.. But you’ve failed to show up to start working… I can’t let you get away with that.
.

Jack ➡ Is that so? So what do I have to do to make up for lost time?
.

Julia ➡ I think you know very well what you must do.
.

In a blink of an eye, Jack grabbed hold of me and gave me a long lustful k-ss on my l-ips, he forced his tongue deep into my mouth as I accepted his k-ss, I twitched all over as I felt his hands on my bre-sts and a**, before I knew it, I was turned on like fire.. I quickly stopped him before I went completely crazy with lust!

Julia ➡ Wait.. Wait.. Wait.. Oh God! You have no idea how much I’ve missed you.

Jack ➡ Why’d you tell me to stop?.. Spread your legs let me do you quickly..

Julia ➡ No, no, no… Not here.. Not now.. We’re in the middle of work.. Business before pleasure.

Julia ➡ I know.. I’ll be expecting you..
