” How much do you think a rare kind of diamond would cost Judah?” Ransom asks.
I watch his back as he runs his fingers down the shelves of books.
” I don’t know.”
He chuckles silently and turns around to face me. He removes the gloves from his hand and drops them on his desk.
” Of course you don’t. It’s price in the market is high because it’s rare. You don’t know how badly I want one.”
I don’t say a word as I watch the scarred man in front of me. He picks up a cigar and lights it , puffing out the smoke.
” I’d kill to have that you know. Sell it to the auction and make a lot of money from it. But where can I get it?”
” I don’t know.”
” F-cking bullshit.” He hisses in disgust and puffs out the smoke in my face.
I just wanna get the f-ck out of here. I have something to do, some kid to hurt. Each time I think about how he hurt her, I just wanna rip his head off. I hate that punk, he’s like his d*ck of a father.
” Serena Steinberg…” He says her name and I’m offended. Who told him about her.
” You’re in love with her?”
” I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
” Oh yeah?” He inhales his cigar and puffs out the smoke.
” I’ve been hearing things Judah. How you’re going soft and hanging out with that little college student. What happened to Mercedes?”
” Why am I here Ransom?”
” Rude, Judah, you’re being rude. You know I don’t like it. You might be a boss but that bossy attitude of yours ends in your f-cking apartment. Your little shit ass couldn’t get you out of jail. I brought you out and you owe me your f-cking life.”
” What the f-ck are you talking about? I’ve played my part well and you won’t talk to me without some tiny little respect. You brought me out didn’t mean I can’t rock that shit myself.”
” You’re making this hærd for the both of us. If you can’t work for me anymore, you can just get out. Zayn is back and he’ll gladly do what I want.”
I smirk.” Alright. Go get Zayn then.” I stand up from his chair and turn to leave.
” Judah, don’t you f-cking…”
” F-ck you, man.” I scoff at him and angrily shut his door.
I glare at his guard standing in front of his door and walk down the hallway. I pull out a cigarette and light it. The music from the club silently blares throughout the hallway. I walk in,side the club and go to the bar. Hero is seated in one stool talking with a redhead girl.
He sees me and asks the girl to leave not after collecting her number.
” You don’t look okay.” He says as I exhale the smoke.
” Ransom is playing shit with me.” I say.
” What did he say?”
” Nothing I haven’t heard before.” I scoff and ordered for a drink.
The familiar waitress smiles at me as she serves my drink. I don’t like her, always trying so hærd to sed-ce me. Something Serena can pull off without even trying. Serena is actually f-cking with my head.
” I saw Zayn.”
” I don’t give a shit about that f-cker.”
” He’s with Troy.”
I pull out my cigarette from my mouth and chug half of the drink.
” Judah.”
Oh, God shoot me. Why’s she here? After the incident in my apartment, I haven’t seen her until now. I turn to look at her. She’s clad with her tiny lacy lingerie she used for stripping.
” What Mercedes?” I scoff and look away from her.
She carresses my back as she leans closer.
” Move away bitch.” I tell her and remove her hand from my back.
” What’s happened to you?”
” The f-ck you’re talking about? I get bored Mercedes and I’m done with you. Why can’t you get used to it?”
She chuckles.
” Why can’t you admit the fact that you can’t afford me anymore, you sick f-ck.” She hisses in disgust as she tries to hide her rejection.
” Don’t do this, it’s childish.”
” And what’s that supposed to mean?”
” Mercedes?” I hear Troy’s voice.
He’s a lunatic. Gone to rehab twice for drug abuse and he’s been in and out of jail. I f-cking hate his guts. We’ve never talk normal without trying to kill each other. And Zayn’s like his little boss.
” What the f-ck are you doing with my girl, Judah?” He asks me. I glare at him.
” Who the f-ck you’re talking to?” I sneer at him.
” Alright Jude, you should leave. Don’t do this.” Hero whispers but I ignore him.
” I’m talking to you Judah. What you gon’ do?”
I smirk and look away from him.
” Take your slut out of here , Troy.” I tell him.
” Who the f-ck are you calling a slut? You’re nobody Judah…”
Without letting him complete his word, I grab his neck and slam his head against the edge of the counter. He bleeds at once. Some people gasps at the noise. I pick up the glass of tequila and smash it on his forehead.
” The f-ck…” he glares at me and try to pull out his gun from his jacket but I beat him to it.
He stares at his gun in my hand as I point it at him. Mercedes is already whimpering and hiding behind her cunt f-ckmate. I c*ck the gun and tilt my head to the side gesturing him to make a wrong move.
” Watch your mouth next time Troy, I ain’t playing with you.” I pull out the ammo from the gun and toss it on the floor.
I keep the gun on the counter and slide it to him. I shoot him a death glare and walk out of the club, Hero follows behind.

” What are we doing here again?” Hero asks as we stare at the store across the street.
Albert’s son always drops by cause he supplies weed to the salesboy here.
” Todd. He did something to Serena.”
” It’s weird you care, that’s not likely you.” He says.
Caring too much sometimes always leave bad trails behind. She’s been through a lot of shit. Todd and his father is one of that shit. I just want him to pass through the exact thing he did to her. Watching her cry against my chest yesterday was heart aching for me.
And finding out this sick kid is behind her tears , it just increased the hatred I have for the kid and his father.
” What do you wanna do to him?”
” Something worth visiting the hospital for.” I say and get out of my car.
I cross to the other side and push open the double doors. The bell at the top of the door rings. The sales boy at the counter looks up at me from whatever thing he’s doing. I ignore him and walk to the aisle at the extreme. Todd is busy looking through the items on it. He must have supplied the nerdy counter kid the weed.
I stand at the other side of the aisle as I watch Todd. He hasn’t seen me yet. Hero talks to the kid at the counter. Todd looks up and finally notices me. He watches me for seconds and continues exploring the items on the aisle. With every step he takes, I follow and he notices that too.
He looks up at me again for the sixteenth time. It’s nice to see him shudder. I walk round the aisle as he stops exploring the item.
” What do you want from me, Judah?” He asks.
I smirk and take three steps to were he’s standing.
” I guess your father didn’t teach you how to treat a woman. I don’t blame him that much, your grandfather wasn’t that different.”
” What the f-ck do you want from me?” He inquires.
I stop in front of him and look down at him.
” I just wanna teach you how to treat a woman.”
” What…” He mutters and hold his neck at once.
I look up at Hero who just sedated the assh-le and nod in gratitude. Todd slumps on my body as he tries to fight the sleep.
” Moron.” I mutter and drag his numb body along with me.
I look to the counter kid, he’s already passed out too.
” He sells good weed though.” Hero mutters behind me.
I chuckle and shake my head. He assists me with Todd who’s already passed out as we push him in,side the backseat of my car. Hero straps his body against the car seat and he shuts the door.

“Baseball isn’t really my forte you know.” Chloe says from beside me as we take a seat to watch the boys play.
After that conversation at Phoebe’s office, I haven’t seen Todd except his friends.
” And you decide to watch them play because of your crush who happens not to like p*ssy. So hilarious.” I say and we laugh.
” How are you doing? I’m talking about what Todd did.” Chloe asks.
I sigh.” I’m good I think.”
” You think? Did you confront him about what he did? I mean that was a psychotic move he pulled out on Saturday.”
” That bastard actually denied it and indirectly called me a liar. He said I was just making up stories to frame his stupid ass.”
” I’m really sorry about that. Todd has a huge reputation at school, including his father.”
I nod.
” Did you take any medications aside the ones we gave you?”
I smile. ” Yeah. My neighbor was super caring, he took care of me.”
” Oh shit. Oh shit.” She exclaims. I stare at her in confusion.
” He’s a cute one right?”
” How did you know that?” I ask and bite my lip.
Judah has a way of making me want him even though he’s not around me. It’s like he actually glued himself to my mind.
” You should have seen your face when you talked about him. Now tell me how hot is he?”
” Well…” I trail and giggle as I try to imagine Judah. Especially when he was holding me.
” He’s super hot. Cute and he’s really cute.”
” Oh my God. You have a crush on him, don’t you?”
” No…” I laugh it out.” It’s complicated. He doesn’t want a relationsh¡p. He’s allergic to it and thinks he’s not ready for it. He wants the fling.”
” Woah… what? Like two friends having s€×?”
I shrug. ” Yeah.”
” Do you wanna try it out? I mean flings with your super hot neighbor?”
I chuckle and bite my lip. I really want to. I badly want Judah to be my first. Each time I think about his s€×ual remarks and proposal, I imagine him touching me. I want him so badly.
This is wrong, thinking about Judah is wrong. But Judah holding me close to himself that day I can’t seem to take him out of my head. He’s f-cking with my ovaries.
” Serena… damn girl, you should see your face. You’re thinking about him.”
” Yeah, you got me. I mean who wouldn’t want Judah in their bed.”
Chloe smiles and we giggles. We look back at the baseball game. Chloe’s crush’s team scored the ball as she joins the other girls to cheer her crush’s team.
” Will i ever get a boyfriend?” Chloe asks as the cheers died down.
” Of course you won’t.” Thomas reply instead. We turn to look at him as he sits close to me.
” Hey guys.” He smiles at us.
” That was harsh for Chloe you know…” i scold him.
” She knows I’m just kidding. We’re both stranded here. I’ve been admiring Bree from afar and I don’t have the balls to tell her. And you Chloe, your crush Daniel likes the D’. You’re toast.” Thomas says and I chuckle.
” You don’t have to remind me how pathetic I am. I mean he’s cute and handsome. I love his red hair.” Chloe emphasizes as she sighs.
” You could just… you know pick another crush and start crushing on him. Life goes on.” I pout and we chuckle.
” And Thomas, I think I’m gonna talk to Bree about you. How come she doesn’t see what I see in you? You’re cute, Tom.”
” Serena, please don’t tell her, I can’t face the embarrassment.”
” Come on Tom, stop being a chicken.” Chloe adds.
” You see, Chloe thinks it’s a great idea too. We’re gonna tell Bree.”
” Tell Bree what?” Bree asks and sits next to Chloe. I pout and smile at her.
” Oh shit.” Thomas mutters close to me.
” What’s going on? Hey guys.”
” Hi, Bree.” The guys greets her.
” Sup Bree. How was class?” I ask her.
” Great. Why’s that look on his face?” Bree asks and tips her chin to Thomas who’s breathing through his ears at the sight of Bree.
” Uh… it’s nothing. We’re just … you know…” Thomas stutters.
Chloe silently chuckles.
” Please don’t do it Serena.” Thomas silently plea. I pretend not to hear him.
” Bree…” I starts.
” Oh f-ck me, I’m f-cked.” Thomas says. Bree gestures me to say something with her eyes.
” He just wants to say you’re cute.” I shrug. Her cheek goes pink and she smiles at Thomas.
” Thanks Tom.” She smiles at me and he nods. He sighs in relief.
” Seriously Serena, you’re f-cking crazy.” Thomas mutters and I nudge him playfully.
” Bree, what are you doing here?” Summer asks as she glares at Bree.
” Get up, come on let’s go.” Summer says without even staring at us.
” Uh…” Bree trails off.
” Let’s go. You’re not supposed to he hanging around them.” Summer orders through gritted teeth.
” But Summer…” Bree tries to speak.
” Stand up Bree, let’s go or we…” she points to herself and Bree. “…are done.”
Bree sighs. Looks at me apologetically as she stands up holding her bag.
” I’m really sorry.” She mutters to us. We smile at her and she leaves with Summer.
” I really wanna beat up that bitch.” I say referring to Summer.
” When will Bree make her own decisions?” Chloe asks.
” I’m not even sure she will.” Thomas mutters.
The baseball game ended. We visit the cafeteria opposite Uni to eat. We sit at the corner booth and the familiar waitress comes to our booth to take our orders.
” Have you guys seen Todd today?” I ask as the waitress leaves to bring our meal.
” No, I haven’t.” Thomas says.
” Me neither. Did you see him today?” Chloe asks.
” Yeah, we talked and I left him. I haven’t seen him since morning.”
” You shouldn’t worry about Todd Serena. He’s not even worth the care.”
I chuckle.” Yeah right.”
The waitress brings our meal and drop it on the table as we start to eat. Two guys walks into the restaurant at once. One has a scar at his left temple. The other is a little better. Both wearing all black. The scarred one looks at me and smirks. I hate his smirk, he’s creepy.
I ignore him and continue eating. I raise my head to look at this guy again. He’s talking to the waitress at the counter, he turns to look at me again. I look away at once.
” You’re okay?” Thomas who notice my look asks.
” Yeah. I need to use the bathroom.” I say and stand up at once. I rush to the bathroom and t-rn on the faucet.
I rinse my face with water and look at my reflection in the mirror. The door opens and I freeze at the sight. The scarred man walks with his sinister smirk. I swiftly turn around to look at him
” What do you want from me?”
” Serena Steinberg. Sebastian’s only child. My condolence to your family though.” I notice he has an accent. He sounds Italian.
” What do you want from me?” I ask him.
” And I hear you’re Judah’s new toy. Poor little thing, you should be careful of what you get involved with. If you’re wise you’ll get rid of that death wish you called a heirloom.” He says and turns to leave and then he stops by the door.
” I’d watch my back if I were you. I see you Serena.” With that said, he leaves.
