Alexa’s pov 🎀

Someone bumps into me just as Xander and I step foot in the packhouse.. had Xander not hold me, I’d have lost my balance.

“Baby, are you ok?” Xander ask, glaring at the figure as he or she runs off.

“I’m fine!” I replied and turn to look at the bumper.

I squirt my eyes slightly.

“Isn’t that Eleanor?” I asked myself.

“Who?” Xander asks.

“Er.. you don’t know her!”

She seems to be crying, Is something wrong with her? Could it be someone is bullying her again?

Maybe I should go after her to make sure she’s fine!

“Baby, let’s go in” Xander said.

I shake my head.

“No, you go alone, I have something else to take care of”

“What’s that? I remembered you suggested coming with me!”

“Er.. I just realized my presence isn’t needed there, I should go take care if my business!”

Xander hesitate but nods, he leans forward and k-sses my forehead.

“Don’t wander too far!”

I nod, just then, Micah rushed down… Xander stops him before he could steps out.

“Alpha!” He greets Xander.

“Where are you going?”

“I.. my…”

“Come with me, there’s a pack meeting!”

“But Alpha….”

“Come with me, everyone’s waiting!” Xander commands him.

Micah looks outside briefly and nods reluctantly,… Xander turns to me and nod, I smile and rushed out.

I followed Eleanor and took a turn with her… I halt abruptly and look what’s ahead of me frighteningly.

Woods?!

Why did she come here? Why didn’t she go elsewhere?

I shake my head and take small steps back, as those images from my nightmares flashes across my mind.

*Alexa, run!*

*Don’t look back!*

*Rebecca!* Words from my nightmares rings in my ear.

My breath quickens.. I find myself squatting, I closed my eyes and hug myself.

*Run, Alexa, run!*

My wh0le body is shaking as the images keeps getting clearer… I can hear Eleanor’s voice.. I can hear her crying but I’m too scared to move.. to go in.

She doesn’t seem to be far away.. but I can’t go in to comfort her.. the images from my nightmares won’t let me.

Then I hear that small voice in my head again.

*Go in, be brave, you’re the future Luna queen!*

I shake my head, I can’t go in… those red eye wolves will attack me.. they’ll devour me.

*Alexa, get up and go in.. she needs you!*

No! Get out of my head, whoever you’re get out.. I scre-med mentally.

*I can’t get out of your head, we’re one!*

I frown.

*Go in, she needs you!*

I feel myself wanting to pass out but an unknown force engulfed me from nowhere…I suddenly feel strong.

I didn’t wanna get up, but I did… I didn’t wanna go in but I started walking in… It’s like a great force is controlling me.

I suddenly forget I’m actually scared of venturing into the woods… a strange confidence erupt from within me.

I continue walking in until I stopped in front of Eleanor.

“Eleanor?” I called.

She raised her head and stares at me with teary eyes… I look around and notice in,side the woods is dark.

I wonder how I could see clearly without a flashlight!

“L-luna!” She stutters.

She’s sitting on a log of wood, I sat on the space next to her.

“Are you ok?”

She doesn’t say a word, rather, she burst into tears…I rest her head on my shoulder and wipes her tears.

“Why are you crying? Why did you come here alone?”

“T-this is where.. I find peace!” She replies.

I nod, if not for my nightmares, the woods seem kinda peaceful.

“You are crying.. what got you upset?”

She hiccups.

“My mate.. I found my mate!” She replies.

“You found your mate?”

She nods and a bright smile appears on my face… I pulled her into a brief hug.

“That’s a good thing, congratulations!”

“It’s not a good thing”

“Huh?”

Finding the person you’ll spend eternity with is the best thing ever… she should be happy about it

“I don’t deserve him!”

“Why do you say that?”

She stays silent for a brief moment.. she plays with her fingers on her laps.

“Eleanor, why do you think you don’t deserve your mate?” I asked her again.

She sighs deeply.

“I’m of lowly birth, Luna, with the lowest rank.. an Omega!”

I frown, now I understand, she’s got a low self-esteem.

“Eleanor, no one is of lowly birth, everyone on earth have equal rights.. right to love and be loved!”

She laughs sadly.

“Luna, I don’t have such right. How can an Omega love someone higher than me?”

I shake my head.

“If he’s higher than you, you won’t be paired with him.. you both compliment each other that’s why you’re paired!”

She stares at me for some minutes and chuckles lightly.

“You’re just trying to comfort me”

“No, I’m not.. look at me, I’m not a wolf but I’m paired with your future alpha King!” I told her.

We both sat in a comfortable silence.. I m-ssage my neck slowly.. I don’t understand why I’ve been having pains all over my body since last night.

“Who’s your mate?” I asked her.

“Er… the younger son of the royal spy’s family!”

Royal spy’s family? That’s my family.. my brothers are the royal spies.

“Micah Dex?” I asked.

“Yeah!”

I gasp quietly and opens my mouth in awe… I didn’t know saving her from Janet that day, I was indirectly saving my sister-in-law!

“You know him?” She asked.

“Of course! He’s my brother!”

“Ah?!” She’s surprised.

“He’s my brother, I’m Alexa Dex!”

This is really a surprise.. the almighty Micah finally got a mate.. someone to hold him down and keeps his whoring about in shape!

“Eleanor, trust me, my brother is super handsome and simply the best…!”

“Luna, you’re just saying that because he’s your brother”

“No, believe me, he’s really a great guy and you have me now, I’ll make sure his attention is solely yours! He listens to me a lot!”

“Hmm, I don’t think he…. ” She trails off.

“Are you…. ” She placed a finger on her l-ips to hushed me.

She sniffs the air and her eyes went big.. she grips my hand tightly.

She leans closer to me and whisper in my ear.

“Let’s get out of here!”

I frown.

“Why?” I asked. “The breeze here is so cool”

She shakes her head frantically.

“No, Luna… Hunters!”

“Hunter?!”

“Werewolf hunters! They’re here, let’s leave before it’s too late!” She urges me.

A clap catches our attention, a man dressed in a black leather jacket and black p-nts stood in front of us.

“It’s already too late, my darlings!” He said.

Eleanor’s grip on me tightens. Why is she scared? Isn’t she a wolf? Can’t she fight them off?

I got up slowly, I and Eleanor take slow steps backwards.

“Hey, don’t bother.. you’re surrounded!”

We halt.. I turned to her slightly.

“Can you fight them off?”

“No, I’m an Omega, I’m not as strong as the other wolves!”

My heart stopped at that statement. I’m human, I don’t stand a chance.

Oh God! Is this how I’m gonna die?

“Wait, didn’t your alpha warned you guys not to come near the woods recently?” He asked.

I didn’t reply him, just keep watching his movements closely.

“Not only did you come near it… you girls ventured in, just how strong do you think you are?”

I smirk, I know I don’t stand a chance but I must make use of my smart mouth… at least if I die here, I should die with some pride.

I scoffed.

“You’re missing something.. since we ventured in, you should know we’re not scared of you or what you’ll do!”

That’s a lie! We’re scared! In fact, I’m shaking in,side.

“Really?”

“Yeah, so, you better let us go or you’ll regret it!”

There’s silence.

“No! I can’t let you go yet, at least, not before I have some fun!”

He snaps his fingers and I saw figures coming out from behind trees.. red lights pointing at us.

I guess he’s their boss.

“Luna, let’s make a run for it.. we can’t fight!”

“No, I’ll stay, you run.. run back to the packhouse and inform my mate!”

“But Luna…”

“Don’t worry I’ll be fine!” I told her.

If I wanna die, I’ll die alone.. I can’t drag someone else with me.

“Go!” I urged her.

She nods and take slow steps away from me.. then she made a run for it.

But she didn’t make it far before she’s caught by them.

“Let me go! Let me go!” She scre-m.

“Let her go!” I said to their boss.

He walks towards me and stops in front of me… He puts a finger under my chin and raised my head up.. but I slaps his hand away.

“How can I let her go? I need her for some experiment.. don’t worry, I’m not gonna kill her!”

“I don’t care if you wanna kill her or not, let her go!” I growled.

I can see Eleanor struggling to get away from them… I guess being an Omega equals being a human.

“Let her go, are you deaf?!”

He snaps his fingers again and I hear Eleanor scre-m loudly, my neck snaps towards her and I see a dagger stabbed on her th-gh.

I balled my fist, that’s my brother’s mate.. I can’t let her get hurt.

I don’t know how it happened but in flash I’m in front of the two guys holding her… I grab their hands at once and twist it.

I hear a loud cracking sound, followed by a very loud agonizing cry from them.

They quickly release Eleanor, I let go of their hands and push them to the ground.

“When I say let go, you let go!” I growled lowly at them.

I turned to Eleanor, my eyes quickly glances through her body.

“Are you ok?”

“Yes, thanks!” She said.

“Don’t thank me yet, find way and leave this place.. go get help!”

“Yes, Luna!”

I felt a hand on my shoulder, I grab the hand and twists it like I did with those two guys.

I grab his other hand and twist it too and push him away.

Now there are just three guys remaining.. their boss makes it four.

The boss claps.

“That’s impressive! I didn’t know you could bring three of my men down!”

I scoff.. since I was able to beat those three, another level of confidence overwhelmed me.

“Leave now before it’s too late!” I told him.

“Really, you’re just human don’t get c*cky because you managed to beat those weaklings!”

“Weaklings?! Then why did you bring them here?!”

He laughs.

“You’re truly interesting, I change my mind, I’ll take you with me instead to do my experiments!”

“Ok then, come and get me!”

Come and get me?! Where’s that confidence coming from?!

“Ok!”

He snaps his fingers and they all come at me at once… I close my eyes, thinking they’ll catch me.

But I hear ripping of clothes and an unbearable pain strikes my entire body… Painful gro-ns and grunts leaves my mouth.

I close my eyes and try to relax my mind to numb the pain, but it only seems to worsen it.

I feel my bones rearranging, in,side my brain feels like there’s a machine in there resetting.

It makes me wonder what is happening… Am I dying already?

Soon the pain stops and I open my eyes… I’m surprised to find out that they’ve become taller than before.

“This is really impressive!” The boss said.

I’m feeling quite tired and dizzy but I shake it off my eyes.. this is no time to be tired.

Without wasting time, I charge at them and attack them randomly… biting and tearing their skins like it’s normal.

I’m surprised at myself but I couldn’t stop my actions… All I want that instant is to kill them.

And within seconds, the three guys are lying in the ground.. dead.

I turned to the boss and take slow steps towards him… He remains in his s₱0t.. why do I feel like he’s daring me?

He points a gun at me.

Writer’s pov 🎀

“….. that is what you should do!” The alpha King said.

Everyone nods in agreement with his suggestion. The alpha King turns to Xander and glares at him briefly.

“Xander, I don’t understand how you and your beta are gonna lead this pack in the future!”

They stare at him in confusion, they wanna know why he’s scolding their future alpha King.

“I told you to org-nize a meeting between you, your beta and fighters and spies… track down these rogues and hunters.. but what have you done about it?”

“Dad, I….

“I’m not your dad, I’m your alpha here!”

Xander rolls his eyes and clears his throat.

“Alpha, Dylan and Tyler are already in the training ground, training the fighters.. tonight, they’ll be sent into the woods and…..”

The door burst open and Eleanor falls on the ground… Micah gets up abruptly and rushed towards her.

He stared at the dagger on her th-gh, he tries to pulls it out but he quickly withdrew his hand and hissed in pain.

“Silver!” He growls… He pulled it out not minding the pain he’s gonna feel.

“This means, the hunters are near by!” Connor said.

Xander’s eyes grows wide as he suddenly remembered Alexa went after Eleanor.

“You! Where’s Alexa?!” He roared.

Eleanor breaths heavily.

“In.. in.. woods…”

“Woods?!” Micah exclaims. “No! This is bad! That’s Alexa’s fear!” He said.

“Alpha.. he.. help her..hunters…”

Xander dashes out immediately.

*Why didn’t you feel she’s in trouble?!* Xander growls at Liam as he runs towards the woods.

*That’s because you shut me out!* Liam growled back.

Xander ignores him and increases his pace.

Alexa’s pov 🎀

“… don’t come here me!” The boss said as I approach him.

I ignore his cries and continue approaching him, then he throws his gun on the ground and runs off.

I wanted to run after him but i suddenly feel like all my energy is gone… I fall on the ground but before I close my eyes, I saw Xander’s figure towering over mine.

Writer’s pov 🎀

Xander stops and look around in astonishment, he sees three dead bodies on the ground and two guys gro-ning in pain.

“No way! Don’t tell me Luna did all this!” Connor exclaimed.

He ran after Xander when Xander left the packhouse.

“Wait… Luna shift?!” He scre-med… Connor points at a pearly white wolf.

Xander stares at the female wolf laying in front of him… A proud smile on his l-ips.

“She’s really my mate!” He said.

Just then, Alexa slowly transform back to her human form.

*Luna shift!*
*Luna is actually a wolf*
*I can’t believe it!*

Xander quickly takes off his shirt and throws it on Alexa’s body.

“Don’t f-cking stare at my mate!” He growled loudly.

They all quickly turn away from Alexa… Xander wears her his shirt and carries her in a bridal style.

“Take those two back to the dungeon!”

“Yes, Alpha!” They chorused.

Then Xander walks out of the woods.
