EXCLUSIVELY ON DREAME

Sarah stood up immediately and tried to calm her down. She remembered that she wasn’t with her necklace. She mustn’t get angry or it will affect everyone around her.

“You need to calm down Kylie” Sarah said, coming closer to her.

“Stay away from me mom. I need an answer from you. Who is my father?” She asked.

“How was your prom?” Sarah asked. She was trying to get closer to her so that she could cast a sleeping spell on her.

Fortunately for it, it worked. She quickly brought out the necklace from her pocket and wore it around Kylie’s neck.

She sighed and helped Kylie to her room.
“Oh please. Don’t let her wake to ask about her father. How I wished to wiped your memory but I can’t. You are my daughter” she said softly, touching her hair.

She turned her neck and faced her.
“I’m sorry Kylie. I never told you about your father. I knew you would react like this”

Sarah covered her properly and left the room.

“Thank goodness it’s my day off tomorrow. I’ll get to stay with Kylie and help her plan about her birthday. f×¢k! Her birthday!! I’m not even prepared for it, I’m almost forgot. What do I get her now?” Sarah asked herself and found herself in her room.

She grabbed her phone and called Sasha.
“Hey sasha”

“Oh, hey Sarah. Did anything happen? Did she perhaps hear our conversation” Sasha asked.

“Yes she did, she almost got mad. What do I tell her now?” Sarah asked in a whisper.

Sasha gasped.
“I think it’s time now. You have to tell her the truth”

“What? You know I can’t tell her” Sarah replied back, this time louder.

“Sarah, give it a shot. She has heard the truth from you. Just tell her about her father. You don’t need to tell that he’s a vampire”

“I guess you are right. I’ll just have to do it that way. Thanks Sasha. I’ll hang up now”

“Good. My regards to her” Sasha said.

“Sure” Sarah said and disconnected the call.

She went back to the room and saw that Kylie has woken up already.
She hugged her knees tight and was crying into her laps.

“Kylie?” Sarah called out.

Kylie quickly raised her head and shot a hærd glare at her mother.
“Don’t come close to me mom. How could you?”

“You need to calm down Kylie. I didn’t really mean to hide the truth away from you, trust me. I’m your mother, I can never lie to you” Sarah tried to explain.

Kylie shook her head, not wanting to listen to her mother.
“I don’t want to listen to anything. Just leave from here” she said and buried her head into her lap.

Sarah felt sorry for her. She wished Kylie never knew the truth about Robby.
She slowly walked towards the bed and say close to Kylie.

“Do you want to hear a story?” She asked.

“I don’t want to listen to anything” Kylie replied, not raising her head.

Sarah smiled.
“It happened years ago. Your father and I fell in love with each other. It was an abomination but what could we do. We were helpless, the love was just too much. I became pregnant so your father and I decided to run away. We ran into the woods and found shelter in Sasha’s house”

Kylie finally raised her head to stare at her mother.
“You mean, granny isn’t actually my granny?” She asked as tears rolled from her eyes.

Sarah nodded in affirmation.

Kylie buried her head back into her lap.
“All my life had been a lie. I’ve been living a lie for eighteen years”

“Don’t say that Kylie” Sarah said with a little frown on her face.
She touched Kylie’s shoulder, trying to stop her from crying.

Kylie shook her hand off her and continued crying.

“Don’t you want to hear the rest of the story?” She asked.

Kylie stopped crying and started sobbing.

Sarah sighed deeply and continued.
“While I was giving birth to you, your father carried you for a little time and wanted you to be called Kylie”

“Then what happened to him?” Kylie asked wiping her tears with the back of her hand.

“He left after I gave birth to you”

Kylie sprung up from the bed and threw her pillow away.
“Lier!!! I know you are just making that up. You want me to hate my father. Tell me who my father is!” She yelled.

Sarah also stood up from the bed.
“You have to believe me Kylie. I’m not lying to you. He left because he wants to protect you”

She squeezed her face.
“Really? How’s that even possible? Protect me from wherever he is. Nice mom, that’s just nice”
Kylie clapped her hands.

Sarah shook her head slowly. There was nothing she could do for Kylie to believe her.

“You’ve never talked to me about my dad. You didn’t tell me his name, how he looks like or anything about him at all” It’s just so unfair” Kylie cried out.

Sarah bit her lower l-ips, kylie has rendered her speechless.
She didn’t know what else to say.
She just lowered her gaze and stared at the floor.

“Mom? Just tell me who my father is. Is he really dead? Or alive?”

“I don’t really know if he’s still alive. I haven’t seen him since he left us” she replied.

“Oh really. You don’t have any idea where my father is. My father is alive and you let me go through pain. The pain of people calling me fatherless…”

“Kylie…”

“Oh stop it. I don’t know who you are anymore” kylie said and walked out of the room. She was still putting on her prom gown.

She grabbed a jacket before she left.

Sarah tried stopping her but she couldn’t.
She cried and fell on the floor.
She also misses Robby a lot.

“Why did you leave Robby? Why? Even if it’s dangerous for you to stay with us, you should have at least stayed for some years before leaving. I don’t even know where you are at all” Sarah murmured as continued whimper.

Kylie went out of the house and walked down the street. She didn’t know where to go at all. She felt a little bit scared but she didn’t know why she’s still pushing forward.
She folded her arms as she continued walking.

Suddenly, there was a strong wind. Kylie stared up and saw that the clouds were gathering.

“It’s going to rain” she said and stared back to where she was coming from.

“I don’t want to go back home” she said and continued walking.
The night was very cold and windy.

The rain started to drizzle at first.
Kylie loved cold but not the rain.

She folded her palms and gnashed her teeth. She was shaking because of the cold.

“Where do I go?” She murmured.

Immediately, the rain started fully. It was really heavy.
Kylie didn’t find where to hide till the rain stop.
Everywhere was filled with trees.

She walked under the rain for a very long time.
“Where am I heading to?” She murmured.

The rain kept on getting heavier. Kylie saw light from afar. She quickly walked towards it and saw it was a beautiful house.

She didn’t know what to do, she went into the house. She was lucky because there was no gate.

She started to feel weak. For some reason, she found the house familiar.

Before she reached the door, she fainted.

Jackson and Cindy were in the room.
“Fine, you won this round. I’ll surely win the next round” Cindy said as she shuffled the cards.

“You’ve said that ten times already. I’m feeling sleepy, please leave” Jackson said.

“Oh really, is that the method you want to use to send me away?” She asked with a weird wink.

“What do you mean?” He asked with a frown.

“I know you want to sneak out and go to Kylie’s house”

“Whatever. It’s none of your business” he rolled his eyes.

“I know that. Don’t worry, I can help you. Just stay away from Madison”

Jackson smiled.
“Fine, just help me check if the rain has stopped falling and check if mom or dad is outside” he said.

“Aiy aiy captain” she said and left his room.

“Naughty b!tch” Jackson mumbled under his breath and grabbed his Jackson. He really wanted to see Kylie.
He didn’t understand why she ran into the house quickly without saying bye to him.

“Maybe she doesn’t want me to k×ss her” he thought.

Cindy sneaked to the door and saw that the sitting room was empty. She sighed and opened the door slowly so as not to make any creaky sound.

She opened it and saw that it was still raining.
“Shit!” She said and slowly closed the door.

She saw something that caught her attention. She opened it and saw something lying on the floor.

“What’s that?” She asked and slowly walked towards it. She entered the rain and saw it was Kylie.

She gasped and closed her mouth in surprise.
