CHAPTER TWENTY NINE: CONFUSED STATE 3
Lord Mammon blink as those words pond said to him ring in his head for hours, the sun has already gone to rest but those words has been in my head for hours now, no conclusion or plan.
” Milord, your carriage is ready for departure”
” Did you inform Lucifer of my arrival?” Baron nod his head to my question and I turn around, without hesitating I head out of the palace and into the carriage.
Silence engulf me while all possibility dance in my head, will God truly send down an angel to kill us, is anger still in his heart after all these centuries.
I might have disobeyed my father but I know one thing, he is mercy and his anger would have already slide off except lily wasn’t born in this era but then I watch lily grow up.
Something is definitely missing.
First thing is first, someone gave birth to lily, they don’t born angels in earth, she should have descended from heaven if she truly is an angel.
Am sure she is no human but am missing something, a piece is missing from my conclusion ” we are here milord ” not giving the coachmen reply I step off the carriage into the palace of the north.
” Lord Mammon” Delun stand at the palace door, giving him a nod, he did so before leading me to Lucifer study room ” problem has arise haven’t it ” Delun ask and I remain emotionless.
” Things aren’t adding up Delun, I have to speak with Lucifer, as soon as…..” I stop talking when a little girl run into me, she look up at me with smiles but I step back, frowning.
Hatred for children still linger in my heart.
” How can this thing run free in the palace ”
” You mean light mammon” hearing Lucifer growl I stand upright then stare at him, the little girl run into his arms.
” Papa ” she mumble and I frown, never knew light has grown this much ” uncle is scary ”
” Worry not my child, he was created with a horrible face ” I frown at Lucifer words but the girl chuckle, I watch how the great Lucifer smile with his daughter before asking her to meet the mother ” I hear you have serious issue to discuss ”
Many people knows Lucifer to be the sin of pride but that’s all wrong, Lucifer is the one angel that shoulder all the sins, every single one, which means he should be lily first target if truly lily was sent from above.
” Angel” I mumble the moment we step into his study room ” I heard that God has sent an angel to defeat the seven deadly sins”
” That’s preposterous”
” Exactly what I thought ”
” All that is needed is to kill this so called angel ”
” I fear we can not ” I mumble and Lucifer frown.
” Explain Mammon”
” She is mine ” clenching my hands I exhale ” no body touches or kill what’s mine ”
” So why bring this matter to me ”
” It’s simple, am aware you have heard the rumors ”
” Indeed ”
” And her name”
” Lily”
” I came here to warn you from what’s mine ” standing up I frown ” send message to hell and death not to touch her or else a war between us might just arise ”
” You will want to fight a war you know fully well you will lose because of a woman”
” I suppose you will do same for your wife ”
” Indeed ” Lucifer nod his head then smile ” but then my wife has no connection with this, if this lily of yours touch me or my family, considered her dead ”
” You will do no such ”
” It appears you do not have her under your control ” Lucifer frown ” she has been taken away from you, haven’t she?”
” That’s doesn’t concern you ”
” You should be ashamed of yourself Mammon ” I watch him shake his head ” for someone to steal your own property under your roof makes you weaker than I imagine ”
” Do not look down on me Lucifer!” Growling, the tables and building tremble and his wife rush into the study room, standing at our middle.
” Behave yourself Mammon ” looking down at jiao I hiss then turn around but mumble my last sentence ” do not touch what’s mine Lucifer, it’s a warning ”
Moving out of the palace I head to my carriage, get in and clench my fist to the extent blood is dripping off it, Lucifer is right, for someone to be able to do all these things in my palace without my notice only means one thing.
Am weak.
” She is to be kept there, brainwashed and reborn ” pond listen to the orders given to him from below, yes, I have never seen the face of the man that I sold my soul to, not even sure if he is truly a man.
” Is she truly an angel ”
” Angel?” His husk voice sound all over the room ” she does not amount to an angel, she is nothing, absolutely nothing”
” I fear I do not understand”
” She is nothing, brought out of thin air, no beginning and no end….she is one of her kind” he mumble ” it is impossible to kill her….yes you may see blood but death can not approach her for she is death herself ”
” That’s why she will bring earth to the sins”
” Indeed” the man mumble ” she happen to fall into the wrong hands when she first appeared as a baby but now….we will have her do our bidding ”
” If I may ask milord ” pond mumble ” which sins will she kill first ”
” Isn’t it obvious, Lucifer is the one that needs to be brought down first, we need to take him by surprise ”
” Your thinking is always marvelous milord ”
” Indeed” his voice slow and calm ” go to her one more time, give her the drink then set her free…..I suppose you know what to tell her to make her drink it all ”
” I do milord” I bow my head to nothing in particular ” I take my leave ” leaving the room I look at the cup in my hands, the smell of death in it is alarming but I doubt she will sense that.
She will probably think it’s just a mere drink I have brought for her, stepping into the room I stare at her pale face, her l-ips dry, her hair scattered all over her face.
Moving close to her, I move them behind her ear, she said nothing, just stare at me ” drink this, you will earn energy ”
” You might have poison it” she struggle to talk and I frown then notice the cuts all over her body, all her fingers missing both the toe nails
” How ”
” The man named God did this ” she fake a smile ” am sure you sent him ”
” I did no such thing”
” Just go away pond! ”
” You have to drink this”
” Why!!!!”she yell and I yell back
” Because it’s a potion that will deal your wounds ” breathing I calm down ” no body knew I came here, just drink it up ” she stare at me for few seconds before nodding, I release the ropes from her hands, she hiss, take the cup and emptied it.

CHAPTER THIRTY: BACK INTO MY ARMS 1
Lily watch the way pond take back the cup then bend down to her level, his cold hands touch her cheek gently ” how do you feel lily ” surprisingly all the pains seem to have vanished, the potion really did work ” great ” I nod and he quickly release my legs from the rope, I watch him with suspicion.
” What are you doing?”
” Am setting you free ”
” Why will do that for me?” Looking at him suspiciously I shake my head ” is this a trap, was that drink something else”
” Lily!” He growl ” I told you earlier that no one knows am here, if you don’t hurry they will find me out, you won’t be able to escape and my life will be taken for nothing”
” Why are you doing this?”
” I love you lily ” touching my cheek he smile ” I know that I have hit you and done things wrong but don’t forget my love for you ”
” Pond ”
” I know you love Mammon even if he sees you just like a property of his, I don’t mind that…..I will always love you and that’s why am doing all these ” he step back and I try standing to my feet, my legs hurt, all my body still hurt but then I feel powerful.
Like something rising from my body ” come, I will show you the way out ” pond hold my hand and drag me with him carefully, we hide from the guards, pass through a dark hallway into the backward of wherever this place is before opening a small door and stepping out.
” Come with me pond, you will be safe ”
” Am not sure lily ” pond shake his head then step back ” I belong here ”
” If they find out am gone, they will murder you ”
“You forget something” he smile ” am already dead, nothing can do harm to me anymore”
” But…”
” Go lily, you are wasting time ” nodding my head to his words I run into the forest, my fingers already growing out on its own, am I truly not human.
Usually running this long will make me feel fatigue and tired but right now am relaxed, strengthen….. something is wrong with my body, something is not right….am running faster than usual, this is not right.
Before I know what’s happening am standing right Infront of the palace, it took less than an hour to arrive here, moving in I watch lord Mammon step out of his carriage, he look really angry.
Upon seeing him, my eyes seem to be losing consciousness” milord?” Mumbling he turn around, his eyes w¡den from surprise, that’s all I remember before falling down, deep into a dream.

Looking around all I could see is darkness, darkness and nothing else ” where am I?” My voice echo in the place, no reply and I was starting to feel scared.
Am I dead?
” Anyone there?” Still no reply, looking around, I decide to look down and what I saw made me step back, not believing and covering my mouth, I was putting on a black cloth with a huge axe, going to people room and killing them.
Late at night, especially old and sick people….no one seem to see me, like am some kind of spirit ” that’s who you truly are ” a man voice out of nowhere mumble ” you are death ”
” No” shaking my head I bend down and cover my ears ” is not true ”
” You ran from your duty, to a human body ” he growl ” you are meant for killing, you live to kill ”
” No!!!!!”
Lord Mammon blink when lily voice caught his attention, he hurried back into his chamber where she is laying down, moving her head side to side and s¢ræming.
Without hesitation I move towards her direction and wake her up, she sit up with tears in her eyes, hair scattered, face pale….she shake her head ” No, am not her”
” Lily”
” I can’t kill anyone Lord Mammon” she cry ” I will never do that ” pulling her into my arms I cares her back gently.
” Calm down lily, I know you can’t harm anyone”
” But ”
” They is no but ” withdrawing a little I clean the tears from her face and smile ” you’re back into my arms, you have no idea how happy I am lily ”
” Lord Mammon”
” No more going away okay ” she nod her head then place her head back on my chest ” lily?”
” Don’t leave me, am scared” she tremble” that voice might come back to hunt me, he might try making me kill someone ” I said nothing and with no time, she fell asleep in my arms, placing her on the bed, I move some strand of hair behind her hair, a frown still remain on my face.
Who traumatized her, who is putting stupid ideas in her head ” milord ” Vince rush in, looking really troubled, standing to my feet I look at him.
” What is it ”
” I have the tests from the lab, I did some research from the blood I took from her few seconds back ”
” And?”
” Her powers was hidden but it seem like someone gave her a revealing potion ” Vince mumble ” she is not safe milord….you should kill her while she sleeps ”
” Why will I do such thing?”
” That is death milord * Vince mumble, looking really scared ” not just normal death but all the other spirits that has lived before are in her body, making her stronger, as strong as the sins ”
” Impossible ”
” You must also know that God created death just like he created angels?” My gaze move to a sleeping lily ” if she is to regain her memories and what happened in the past, I have no doubt that she will wish to end all the sins ” I said nothing, just watch how peaceful she sleeps, She will do no such thing.
” Milord” baron mumble ” it is impossible to kill her unless we throw her into the holy water ”
” Silence ” growling I look at them ” this stays between us…nobody tell her anything, she will not be thrown into the holy water nor will she leave ”
” Milord?”
” Listen carefully ” I frown ” she is back into my arms and that is where she will stay.”
