☀️ Selena’s POV ☀️
I slightly opened my eyes as I raised my head slowly from Mom’s hospital bed. It was then reality slowly dawned on me; AM GONNA BE LATE😲, Mom was still sleeping so I immediately rushed out of the ward and found my way to the doctor’s office.
I came straight to the hospital yesterday after I was done with my work at the agency, I requested to meet the doctor so that I could plead with him to accept the little I have now, but he had already left the office. Tears streamed down my face as I remembered Mom’s word when I told her I was going to be a live-in housekeeper

“Am really sorry Selene, I never gave you the kind of life you wanted, you’ve always had to work hard to cater for both of us, I wasn’t a good mother to you and now you are going to live with someone you don’t know just because me” Mom said in tears
“What are you saying Mom, you know that even if you weren’t sick and I came across this opportunity I’d have still gone for it, so never blame yourself Mom, none of this is your fault. And you are the best Mom anyone could ask for” I sniffed as I tried to stop myself from crying

I stood in front of the doctor’s office and knocked on the door
“Who is it” I heard him say
“It’s Selena Martin doctor”
“Miss Martin, do come in”
I opened the door and stepped inside his office
“Miss Martin, how are you doing” he asked removing his glasses and dropping it on the table
“Am fine doctor, I came to see you yesterday evening but you had already left the office” I said unsure of how to begin my plea for him to accept half a million first as the deposit
“Oh really, I guess I’ve already gone home then”
“Umm doctor, about the 1 million dollars deposit, I was only able to get half yesterday but please doctor, I promise to bring the rest before the end of the week, please start the surgery for my Mom” I said as my eyes glistened with tears
“Am sorry Mrs Martin, there’s nothing I can do, my hands are tied, am not the owner of the hospital so I can’t help you out, am only the head surgeon”
“Please doctor, there must be something you can do please, I can’t loose my mom doctor, please help me out” I couldn’t help as I started crying
The doctor looked at me with pity and sighed “I can’t start the surgery without the full deposit but since you brought half of the deposit, I can administer some drugs to your Mom to slow down the growth of the cancerous cells. Do pay the money to the cashier on your way out and make sure to bring the rest of the deposit before the end of the week or your mom’s condition might worsen”
“Thank you so much doctor, I’ll make sure to bring the rest of the deposit before the end of the week” I wiped my tears, stood up and went out of his office
I found the cashier’s office and paid half of the deposit. I walked out of the hospital and took a cab home, I need to start packing since I’ll be moving into Mr Adrian house today, and am already late.
☀️ ALICIA’S POV☀️
I kept pacing in front of the company building as I was lost in my own thoughts. How the hell am I going to tell Mr Adrian about what just happened, he’s definitely going to get angry at me
Two black cars suddenly pulled up in front of the building and I rushed to the second car to open the door for Mr Adrian. He stepped out gracefully on his black suit, his moderately long hair permed back with a few falling towards his face, gosh I’ve had a big crush on this guy since the day I was employed as his secretary. I immediately snapped out of my thoughts cause there were more important issues at the moment
“Good morning Mr Adrian” I greeted as I followed him inside the building
“What are my schedule for today, I need to be back home before noon so that I can meet my new housekeeper” he said without replying my greetings or even glancing at me
“You don’t have much on your schedule today sir but we received a business proposal from Taylor’s Enterprise requesting for partnership” I said as we walked into the elevator
He turned to face me with a frown “Am sure you know I’ll never partner up with him”
“Of course sir, he actually requested to buy some of your estates, we refused and then he came up with the business proposal”
“Buy my estates?, that man’s got some nerves”
“He actually came in person sir, and he is still around” I managed to say, not still able to drop the bombshell
“Where is he?”
“Your office sir” I said in a low tone knowing he’s going to be really angry
“What!!, Why on Earth would you allow him into my office” he asked looking at me with anger in his eyes. If looks could kill, I’ll already be six-feet below the ground by now
“Am sorry sir but I couldn’t stop him, he insisted on waiting for you there, he brought some bodyguards with him that’s why I couldn’t call the security to avoid a fight breaking out” I quickly explained as I prayed he understands
“Am gonna kill that son of a bitch” he walked out in anger as the elevator door opened
I quickly muttered a silent prayer, “oh God, lemme not loose my job today”
☀️ADRIAN’S POV☀️

“What the hell is wrong with that man” I muttered to myself as I walked towards my office. Mr Taylor is a 52 years old man and he’s a successful real estates owner but he has been on my neck from the moment I was announced the highest estates owner in the country. At first I thought it was just jealousy since I took the position from him and I thought with time, he’ll calm down but this is now getting out of hand and I need to put him in place
I opened the door to my office and met him sitting on MY CHAIR, MY PERSONAL CHAIR 😤
“What the hell are you doing in my office Taylor?, Have your office suddenly become too ugly for you” I said as I sat that in the other chair facing him
“And you still have no manners Adrian, do I need to remind you that am much more older than you”
I shook my head slightly, if only this man knew that I was 200 years old back in heaven before Zeus decided to banish me to earth, and now I have to deal with all this annoying weaklings “And do I look like I care if you are younger or older than me”
“You really have no respect at all” he said shaking his head
“If you want respect, go to the home for elderlies. This is one of the top ranking companies in the country and as the CEO, I have no time to waste on a chit-chat with you, so if you are done blabbering, GET OUT” I said stressing the ‘get out’ and pointing at the door
He looked really furious and he was about to say something but he had a change of mind as he suddenly smiled “Calm down Adrian, I only came to give you an invitation for the party I’ll be hosting in the next two days” he brought out an invitation from his pocket and dropped it on the table “make sure to come Adrian cause I have a big surprise for you” he smirked and finally walked out of my office
What does this man have in mind now, if only I still had my powers I’d be able to read his mind. I stared at the invitation and saw something written on it ‘Condition for attendance; a date’. Gosh, I hate this kind of parties.
I immediately finished up my work at the office and left for home cause am sure the housekeeper must be waiting for me by now. The security man opened the gate and my driver drove inside my mansion. I got out of the car and turned to my security man
“Is the housekeeper in?”
“No sir, no one has arrived yet” he said and I was surprised. What kind of housekeeper will be late on the first day
I opened the door to my mansion and entered the living room, I was climbing up the stairs but I stoped and looked at the painting on the wall “I’ve really missed you Anastasia” I said touching the painting and a tear rolled down my face. I sniffed and continued climbing the stairs and I went to my bedroom
☀️Selena’s POV☀️
I dragged my luggage to the gate after paying off the cab, why do I have to be late again today. I knocked on the gate and the security man came, I introduced myself as the new housekeeper, he let me in and told me how Mr Adrian has been waiting for me. Oh God, I pray he doesn’t get angry
I walked inside the mansion and I was distracted from my thoughts by the beautiful fleets of cars in the parking lot, I mean this guy must be damn rich, the cars are obviously expensive. I walked towards the door and I opened it since it wasn’t locked and my luggage almost dropped from my hand as I awed at the sight before me, I think am in heaven, the place was huge, the walls were painted white, the cushions were white too, the chandelier emitting golden lights and God, this place is beautiful 😀, I can’t believe I’ll be living here from now on
I kept looking around, and I spotted a big drawing of a beautiful lady with wings, I also spotted a painting of the same lady with wings on the wall of the stairs… Okay what’s going on?, Why does he have drawings of this lady, I walked towards the drawing in the living room and touched the face of the lady, should I call her an angel?, cause even in drawing she still looks so beautiful
I snapped out of my thoughts as I suddenly heard footsteps, seems the person is climbing down the stairs. I turned around and I what I saw left me in shock, the most handsome man in the universe is walking towards me right now 😲😲😲
