After that amazing night with Steven, we became more closer than ever, we bonded way even more… We were no longer just friends but lovers… We did things together and were always around each other like 5 and 6.
People began to think that we were married and all as they always saw how close and happy we were. Even our neighbors, Abubakar and Elena supported our relationsh¡p… Elena would sometimes call me Mrs. Steven.. Not a bad if you ask me, in fact the title of Mrs. Monica Stevens suited me well.
Steven’s mom Vivian was so happy that I was together with her son.. She and I became friends sooner afterwards.. She would show me show tips on how to cook and do some other house work stuff.. It was quite fun but I preferred sticking with Steven whenever I go to the market with him.. Thanks to me, his business was booming drastically… With the profit we were gaining from the business, Steven furnished the house and filled my wardrobe with lots of nice dresses..

Elena and I went to Mallam Ibrahim’s shop, Though I have to say, I haven’t seen him lately.. Not at his place of gossip or anywhere else.. I hope all is alright.
As we got to his shop, We noticed his doors were half opened, as we got in, We saw him packing some things into a carton, As he turned around, he was startled by our presence…

Mal. Ibrahim ➡ Subhan-llah!!! Can’t you knock before coming in?

Elena ➡ Sorry we didn’t mean to scare you, I need some medicine..

Mal. Ibrahim ➡ Medicine? There are lot of medicine here.. Which one?

Elena ➡ Take it easy now! What’s your problem?

Mal. Ibrahim ➡ Stop wasting my time woman and tell which one you want!..
While Elena was busy with Mal. Ibrahim, I was busy looking at him.. There was something about him that seems off.. His left arm had a bandage and his stance wasn’t proper.. He was leaning one sided… I remembered that night when that bastard tried to rape me.. He had the same height as Mal. Ibrahim and that wound on his left arm made me even more suspicious…. It had to be Mallam Ibrahim.. Cause if I remembered clearly he threatened to deal with Steven.. He has to be the one… First he’s been absent for a few weeks and now this injury on him.. It definitely has to be him… But even though it was him.. No one will believe me if I don’t have evidence.. So I thought of a plan to expose him.

Monica ➡ Sorry, Mal. Ibrahim.. I see you’re wounded?

Ibrahim ➡ (grumbles) Yes.. One stupid lady.. I mean.. man hit me with an iron bar in Kaduna when I was going to get some supply.

Ibrahim ➡ Some days ago.. I just came back today..

Monica ➡ Have you heard about what happened to Steven and I?

Ibrahim ➡ Yes, yes.. What tragedy… I heard you were almost raped…

And that was what I wanted to hear… How could someone who came back from a travel today know what happened some weeks ago? And Nobody except the police, Abubakar and Elena knew that i was almost raped.. All we told people was that we were attacked by thieves…
This fool had saved me enough trouble of investigating him.. He had just let his mouth loose and exposed himself. I dragged Elena outside and away from earshot and told her what happened.. Elena was surprised by my revelation, she couldn’t believe it..

Unknown to Elena and I, Ibrahim must have either overheard our conversation or realized his mistake…
Before we knew what was happening.. Mal. Ibrahim took off like a streak of lightening.. He ran as if he was chased by a lion.. It was funny watching a man of his size running with great speed… 😂..
As soon as we shouted for help, People began to chase him but as you all know, Fear lends wings to the legs.. Mal. Ibrahim was faster and way ahead of everybody, immediately he got to the main road, He climbed a Keke napep and disappeared out of sight..

I’m sure a lucky guy 🤞, Having a woman such as Monica really bought change to my life.. Ever since that night, our love life became stronger, Even when she wasn’t my wife.. Monica was doing her best to take care of me and the house and thanks to her, my business was becoming quite successful.. I loved every minute I spent with her and I did my best to make sure she got what ever she wanted…..
My mom was really excited I was with Monica, she urged me to propose to Monica and make her my wife.. But I insisted we needed more time..
Even my friend Abubakar was also pressurizing me to tied the knot with Monica, I want to but I was afraid she might say no…
So one Saturday evening, just an hour before we closed.. Abubakar asked me my decision to marry Monica.

Steven ➡ Abubakar…. I’ve told you.. We need more time to sort things out..

Within some few minutes, we closed our shops and went home… As we arrived, we saw a Police car in front of Abubakar’s house.. Some people gathered around whispering and gisting, Abubakar seeing that the crowd and the police car was in his yard, he rushed there with haste to check if something had happened to his wife and kids.. I immediately followed him in to see what was going on..
As we entered his house, We saw two police men, Monica and Elena, they were all seated talking about something… Abubakar breath a sigh of relief as he saw Elena…
Eventually, they noticed our presence and welcomed us…

Elena ➡ Darling, you’re back..

Abubakar ➡ What’s going on here?

Police officer 1 ➡ Have a seat Abubakar.. You too Mr. Steven.

Steven ➡ What’s the problem? I hope we’re not in some kind of trouble?

Police officer 2 ➡ No.. But this one does involve you! These ladies here discovered the identity of the last man that attacked you..

Abubakar ➡ Who was it?

Elena ➡ It’s Mallam Ibrahim.

Monica ➡ Its true.. We made him spill it out.. Before we could call the police.. The bastard escaped..

Steven ➡ But his shop..

Police officer 1 ➡ I don’t think he’ll be coming back.. After all the items in his shop aren’t much.. We tried locating his house but as it turns out he doesn’t live here..

Steven ➡ I don’t believe it.. I never knew Mal. Ibrahim.. was evil..

Police officer 2 ➡ Don’t worry, we’ll find him.. But it won’t be easy though.. This city is populated.. He might be anywhere or even out of the state.. But don’t worry, you two are safe..

Steven ➡ Thanks officer..

Monica and I soon left Abubakar’s house and went to ours.. Fortunately.. She had made some food. She served the food for us and we began to eat..

Steven ➡ Jesus lord.. I don’t believe what I just heard..

Monica ➡ Well, you’d better.. That Mallam Ibrahim is not what you expect.. The man is pure evil.. So how’s business..

Steven ➡ It’s…. okay.. Yeah..

Monica ➡ I see.. So Steven what do you think about marriage?

Steven ➡ Well, I do think about marriage, most of the time.. And I’ll do it when I find the right woman.

Kai! That was a lucky escape.. If those fools had caught me only God knows what would have happened…
That Monica, the b*tch knew I was the one that assaulted her.. And she tricked me into exposing myself.. God I hate her.. If only things hadn’t gone wrong that night, I would have filled her womb full with my seed..
Returning back to retrieve my stuff would be suicide.. Its better I lost my property than to spend 14 to 15 years in prison.. And it’s a good thing my house isn’t near..
Well, since I’m free now… Its best I keep it that way.. Kano is a very crowded place and it would be hærd for any police to track me down.. Its time I moved on and start afresh.
That night, as I went to my house.. I decided to rest and relax cause I was tired from running and my injuries were paining me.. After I had relaxed, i tended to my wounds and took a nice warm bath to have a nice sleep.
Later as I was in bed browsing my phone.. I began to check if there was some online business loan platform I could apply for but I came across something shocking and interesting…. Here was Monica’s picture.. God this woman is really beautiful.. It was said here that she was missing and if anyone finds her, he or she should call this number below.. I didn’t care about Monica being found, all I was interested in was the reward money placed on her…. Whoever this Monica is, she’s surely from a wealthy background…
Well, reward money here I come, let me just wait till in the morning so I can call them and notify them about Monica’s location..
