We ran into the woods faster as we could. I make sure I held Karina’s hand.

” Hey stop right there ” they yelled at us.

We didn’t stop running. We went further and further into the jungle,kicking aside branches that stood on our way.

We saw a cliff and a tree standing in the middle and the cliff wasn’t that deep like one Karina would’ve fall and probably wound herself. We could hide here.

” Come on Karina let’s hide under this cliff ” I stated quickly dragging her along and then we went under the cliff and the under the tree.

” They must’ve gone that way ” we could hear them telling each other.

” Let’s go that way ”

I hope it isn’t the place we hide ourselves. I just hope so.

I was mistakingly about Arthur he had saved my life and now his life too is in danger because of me. I’ve been foolish to trust Allie am sure she must be behind this.

Arthur real care about me a lot. I could see it in his eyes.

We waited a little. We both didn’t heard them. Arthur titled his head upward to take a look and he indicate that we should go to our right.

We got up and then quickly ran to nowhere precisely. It was nighttime and gosh am damn tried and if I ran again am gonna faint.

We came across a Cave and decide to dwell in,side since we had lost those men.

Soon the sky was more darker than before. The moon light provide a little light in the cave.

Arthur slept and I slept close to him. I feel save around him now and I trust him not to do anything bad with me.

” Sir am sorry for everything up till now I have never trust you. I kept on trusting the wrong people. Am so sorry sir please forgive me ” I said with tears.

” Please don’t cry Karina and stop calling me sir . It’s Arthur ” he said staring at me in the pace of the moonlight.

He wipe my tears and when his hand touched me. I felt something tangling in my stomach. His touch have never had effect on me until now.

” Karina ma doing this because I really love you ” he said and I raised my head to search his face.

” Thank you for saving my life ” I said and he smiled.

” Thank my love for you not me ” he said and manage to laugh despite the situation we’re in.

Despite the discomfort of the bare full of rocks we managed to drift into sleep after some hours.

We came out of the cave and good damn Lord am so hungry and tasty.

I moved my heads sideways and saw there was a small lake.

At least let me drink water.

” Arthur let’s go to the lake over there am damn tasty ” I pointed out to Arthur and he nodded without saying a word.

I just finish drinking the water as well as Arthur ,but am still hungry and I don’t know when we both will get out of this hell jungle.

” Are you hungry? ” Arthur asked.

” Of course I’m,I could eat a turkey ” I said making a small smile. The truth is am quite tense and this isn’t the right time to make jokes.

My eyes moved to the pendant in his neck. It looks old and was fading away. I keep wondering why a millionaire would wear such locket which looks unattractive and cost less.

I have seen this pendant in his neck couple of times. But at the time I didn’t care to ask because I never liked him and what ever he does wasn’t my business. But now I found myself curious to know more about him and strangely I’m beginning to like his presence on like before.

” The locket on your neck it’s old and fading. Don’t get me wrong but am curious to know why you always wore it ,when you can easily replace it ” I said trying not to sound offensive.

He sighed and then a small smile flick his lip that quickly faded away. It was unlike him to smile like that.

” This locket might look so unattractive to you and the world. But this locket is valuable to me and if I loose it I won’t be myself anymore ” he said and I just mope at him.

He would value such thing ,why , I asked myself surprisingly.

” Huh ” I sighed.

” This locket contains the photo of my real mum. I hope to see her one day. For the past twenty right years I’ve been carving to see my lost mum ” he said sadly.

” Your mum, i thought…

He cut in.

” Those are my foster parents. They took me from the orphanage when I was five and made me their own. My real mum left me there when I was a baby ” he said.

” She left you there ? ” I asked shocked that a mother would do that.

” It was never her intention to do that. I was told that her parents never accepted her pregnancy because she had me out of wedlock and she was a young teenager. So instead of dumping me in the trash like most people do ,she take me to a orphanage were I would be taking care of. And she gave the nun there to give me this locket and I always kept it with me ” he explained sadly.

For the first time I saw some sadness in him. Is like he isn’t the boss I knew from the start. The other side of him was good and I love it. But I kinda of getting hurt seeing him sad .

” Am so sorry. I hope you will reunite with your mum someday. You’re lucky to have a family and a real mum out there. Unlike me I’m left with only Jasper. My mum and dad died a long time ago and Uncle Jay who took us in died too after some years ” I sighed and then turn to him ,his eyes was on me as if he saw something on my top.

” What’s that on your shirt ? ” He asked taking my shirt and pulling something from my shirt.

It look like a thinning device of some sort. I think I’ve seen this somewhere.

Both Arthur and I stare at the device for some time and then my brain recollected what it was.

” A tracker ” we both chorus.

Suddenly those five men came out from no where and surround us.

” A tracker ” we both chorus.

Suddenly those five men came out from no where and surround us.

I felt my heart leaping in my mouth as they pointed their guns out us.

I held Arthur tight frightfully.

” Shoot the man and take the lady ” one of them ordered.

Shoot Arthur,no,no,I gasped.

” Hey what do you want from……

Before Arthur finish is statement they shoot him and he fell straight into the lake.

” No no ” I yelled in fright ,they grip my hands and use a handkerchief to cover my nose and mouth.

The substance in the handkerchief made me felt dizzy. My eyes was slowly starting to close. My vision blurred and soon everything went blank.

I don’t know why Karina isn’t answering her calls. I have been trying to call her since yesterday and she didn’t answer. I thought maybe she was asleep because I called her at nighttime.

But today I called to ask when she’ll be arriving but buh she isn’t picking up.

I don’t know but I feel something is wrong somewhere am tensed.

I decided to go meet Freda in her room. I knocked on the door and then she opened it.

” What wrong Jas ? ” She inquired obviously noticing my worried face.

” Come in ”

I walked into her room and sat on her bed. She went to her mirror and was combing her hair.

” So what wrong Jas. Why look so worried ” she inquired again looking at me through the mirror.

” It’s about Karina. I feel something is wrong. She haven’t answered my calls since yesterday ” I stated tensely.

” Huh, even me tried calling her yesterday. But maybe she left her phone somewhere or probably she must be sleeping. I send a voicemail telling her to call me. I’m yet to received her calls. Anyway I’ll try calling her now ” she said, and then pick up her phone and then call Karina.

” I’ll put it on loud speaker ,so you’ll hear her ” she said and place the phone on loud speaker.

📞 ” The number you trying to call isn’t answering. Please try again later ” says the phone.

” Strange. She should’ve answer my call ” she said with a furrowed brow.

” Am telling you. I feel something is wrong somewhere. Am scared. I don’t want anything to happen to my sister ” I said feeling worried.

You can’t imagine what is going on in my head right now. I hope she’s okay.

” Don’t worry Jas ” she said coming closer to me and Pat my back.

” Your sis will be fine. The day haven’t run by yet. Maybe she’ll give us a call or maybe she wants to give us a surprise ” she shrugged.

” But that’s your assumption. I can’t help but feel worried. I hope she’s okay ” I said.

I opened my eyes slowly and I could see someone standing in front of me. But the person image wasn’t clear to me because I was still struggling to open my eyes.

When I finally opened my eyes fully I could see the person clearly.

Believe me I wasn’t that shocked to see Allie. I knew she was behind this,but why?.

” Allie ” I frowned.

” Yes is me ” she smirked.

” So this is some kind of revenge in the past right ” I scoffed.

” Huh eh…. Not really ” she smirked, stroking her hair backwards.

” So what made you do this ” I yelled at her.

” Keep ya voice down. I don’t like been shouted out ” she sterned and I scoffed.

” Okay if you must know. I just did my job just as you came here to do yours ” she said smirking.

” What sort of job ? ” I asked angrily.

” My boss and his team which am part of,runs a business like capturing women and girls and make them sells their bodies. Well we don’t directly make them sells their bodies. We just capture them and sell them off to a agency call WPA. Women pr-stitute Agency that the mean. So now you understand ” she said and chuckled.

I can’t believe this. They kidnap me to they could sell me of for pr-stitution. Gosh what a evil Allie. How could she kidnap women like her to sell of. She’s a evil lady and a disgrace to humanity and womanh-od.

” I would like you to meet my boss ” she said.

” Sir you can come in now ” she said aloud and then the door to the strange room I was kept opened.

I was shocked at the sight of the person. It’s the same man I came here to give the paperwork to Mr Harold.

So this man is this devilish. I thought Freda said he was a nice man.

~ Arthur ~

I woke up to see my self l lying in a strange bed made of bamboo sticks. I was drenched completely.

When I look at the entire placed it was made of weaving Bamboo too.

I tried seating up but the pain that came from my shoulder sent me back downwards and then I gro-ned.

I was shot on my shoulder and I guess the bullet only grazed my shoulder. I look at my shoulder and one part of my sleeve was cut off and a white clean cloth was use to wrap my shoulder.

How I ended up in a strange place was a misery to me.

” Karina she might be in trouble ” I quickly remembered Karina and sat up despite the pain.

” Hey you shouldn’t trying seating up. If not you’ll bleed more ” I could hear someone warning me from the doorway.

When I arched a brow I saw it was a man with a wove hat on his head. He might be a hunter or a Fisher man with the way he dress up.

” Who’re you and how did I get here ? ” I questioned.

” Relax I’ll explain everything to you ” he said .

” I can’t relax. The love of my life is in danger. I need to go and find her ” I stated worriedly and try seating up but the pain in my shoulder was so painful.

I gro-ned.

” I found you in the lake. They were blood floating from the lake so I went to search it and found you floating in it. Thank goodness a lake isn’t that deep ” he said.

” My phone fell why I was running from to goons yesterday. Do you’ve a phone I want to call my bodyguards ” I said.

” Where am i? ” I asked.

” You’re in pellworm small village ” he said .

” Whoa bodyguards. Meaning you’re rich ” he added with a smile.

” Huh. I’ll pay you for you kindness later. But right now I want to find my lady ” I said worriedly.

” Sir they is no need to pay me. I only help you for the sake of humanity ” he smiled.

” I’ll go get the phone from the parlour ”

📞 ” Hello sir. We were worried about you. You didn’t call us or neither come back yesterday. What happened sir ”

📞 ” John listen to me. I need you both to contact the FBI agents to come over to pellworm. Karina as been kidnapped by some goons ”

📞 ” Okay sir. But sir were are you. Are you alright? “.

📞 ” I was shot. But am fine now. You can send Robin to come pick me from pellworm small village ”

📞 ” Okay sir , I’ll make sure to send Robin to you ”

The call ended.

” Are you hungry sir. I’ll go get you something to eat. I just hope you’ll be okay with the food here. I just have some bread and soup ” he said.

” I’ll be okay with anything you serve ” I said trying to smile.

And he quickly went to get the meal.

Honestly how can I eat when I don’t know if Karina is okay. I hope she’s not In a very big trouble.

The hærd man with his huge beards approached and then he had the smirk on his face. He bent to were I was chained and cupped my face.

He stroked my hair and I felt disgusted.

” Now I can have you ” the hærd man said and I gasped.
