I walked home with a grived heart, cause I was really afraid hoping to hear from Jason, but I didn’t, that’s even my main purpose of skipping work today.
I and Olivia had a great time practicing together and I’m really exhausted, I just want to know my brother is safe.
I was still on the street to my home when my phone rang. I checked the caller and was relieved to discover it was Jason, I quickly pick it up before it gets disconnected.
📲 What the hell Jason, where the hell have you been? 📲 I yelled angrily to the phone, passersby stared at me weirdly
📲I’m sorry, please I’m I speaking to Jason sister?📲 a female voice asked.
📲Yes please, where’s Jason, I need to talk to him📲 I said
📲Your brother was rushed into this hospital Early this morning, he was found lying lifeless on the streets and was brought in by a young man. Seems he got into a fight or something, cause he’s badly injured. I was asked to check for his relative, so I checked his phone and saw your contact saved as sister. You need to be here immediately📲 she said.
Oh no!!! Jason!
📲I….I. Please, what’s the hospital 📲 j asked panicking.
📲Just come straight to the state hospital, he’s being attended to in ward 8, room 296, check in as Jason’s relation, thank you📲 she said hanging up the call
OMG,OMG!!, Jason is in trouble, what the hell did he get himself into this time.
I have to go there now

I walked into the hospital afraid to get lost into the crowd, cause it was the state hospital and it was kinda large.
I decided to walk straight to where the caller directed me too, I can clearly remember, it was ward 8 room 296.
Walking into the room, I met a female nurse attending to him, it seems he was awake cause he was grinning in pain.
Nurse: Oh!! I’m glad you’re here miss..?
Me: Stella
Nurse: good, your brother is quite okay compared to this morning, you’ll have to make a deposit at the reception. He hasn’t really told is what happened to him, maybe he’ll talk to you, I’ll leave you too for a while.
The nurse said handing me his phone leaving with the tray of medicine.
“Jason” I called quietly and he looked at me, he had his right hand on a sling, seemed he fractured his hand.
“Are you okay?” I asked and he nodded
“What happened to you, who did this to you?” I asked anxiously
” You don’t have to know Stella, all that matters now is that I’m alive” he said
” Jason, I’m your sister, your only family, you use to confined in me, tell me what happened and I promise, I’ll stand by you, I don’t care if it’s your fault or not” I said and he sighed grinning in pain.
” I’m sorry Stella, for all that I’ve done to you, I was supposed to take care of you properly since that man that calls himself our father Abaddon us, rather you were the one taking care of the both of us. It pains me alot to see that I’ve become a total disaster to myself, I can’t even look you in the face” he said, I was really touched but I also want to know what he got himself into.
“Look Jason, let’s leave that aside now, and talk about what happened” I said
” I’m sorry Stella, I know you’d be furious if I tell you this” he said
” I promise, I won’t be” I replied
“It was situations Stella, I was beaten up to the point of death, I was almost shot only for me to wake up and find myself here in pains” he said
” Are you serious?” I asked scared and he nodded
” What happened?” I asked
” It’s my fault Stella, I was tired of the both of us struggling to survive every day and night, I just wanted us to live a comfortable and better life, so I got into a gamble of $800,000″ he said.
OMG!! 8 hundred thousand dollars!! Why would he be so crazy to do such a thing we don’t even have up to a thousand with us.
“I actually thought I was going to be the winner,so I never thought of the consequences. They all believed I was loaded. But when things turned it back at me, everything change in a sec, when they discovered I had no Money on me, they wanted to kill me on that s₱0t, till one of them suggested they go search my house. They did, they destroyed almost everything in the house when the discovered how empty our house was. Then they took me out, the only thing I could remember was walking up here” he said and I felt shiver all over me.
” Why did you even think of doing that. I never complained did I?” I said
” No, it was when dad visited and called me useless after abandoning us for 6 bad years. I didn’t tell you about it” he said.
” Well, there are other ways to prove you’re useful, look you have a diploma and you finished college three years ago. You could man up and get a Job, even though it wouldn’t be easy” I said
” I was desperate Stella, I wanted to sprout on time” he said
“It’s okay Jason, I’m only happy you’re awake, I just hope you’ve learnt your lesson out of this. But I’m scared of going back home” I said
” No Stella, you have to, they won’t let you sleep here. Don’t worry, you’re saved, one of them got caught early today, probably the remaining two of them would have gone into hiding” he said
” Are you sure?” I asked
” Pinky swear” he said.
“Thanks Jason, please stay safe for me, it’s late already” I said
“Of course, you may go now, just check in my wallet over there, I have a little money that could foot the bill a little, you can add from yours I promise to pay back when I get back on my feet” he said
” It’s alright brother, the bill is not even that high, anything for you. Night night” I said
” Wait” he called and I stood on my track looking back at him
“You’re audition is in three days right?” He asked and I nodded.
” I wish you good luck in it” he said
“Thanks” I replied happily walking out. Wow!! I just hope this change him for good. I remember telling him about the audition, I seriously thought he wasn’t listening, but he was. I have to go foot the bill and rush home, don’t wanna stay out late.

🍋 Jeremy’s pov 🍋
I was driving home late, even though mum advised against it. I just wanted to be there at a late hour, since it’s an hour drive from here. I just want to stay away from everything that has to do with Alexa. Stay away from anyone that wants to tell me about love, it’s just so stupid in my hearing, I don’t know why mum still believe in that shit after what she has been through, the only one I love is my mother. I was still driving slowly when I saw someone looking so familiar. I’m not really good at faces, but I’m kinda familiar with that face.
I stopped to study the face closely, Glady she was standing at a bus stop.
Oh, it’s the girl from school, I thought it was someone else. I wanted to ignore her, but something urged me to give her a ride home. Mum told me to be generous, maybe this would be a good excuse for coming home late. I drove and stopped right beside her, winding down the right window. Gladly she was already looking down at me, so I didn’t have to stress myself on calling her.
“Uhmm where are you going?” I asked
“Home” she replied looking surprised
” Hop in” I said
” No thanks, I’ll take a bus home” she said
“Please” I said
” Thank you, but I don’t wanna stress you” she said
” No problem, just give me your address” I said and she did, gladly it was really far from home, so I already have a huge excuse
“You’re not stressing me, come in” I said and she finally did, while I drove on, I’ll be getting home late now….

🌼 Stella’s pov 🌼
I can’t believe I’m in Jeremy’s car, I’m really scared. Cause he hærdly talks to people including me and suddenly he stops and is offering me a ride, it’s quite alarming.
The ride is so awkward, he isn’t even saying anything, just the sound of the cool music from his music player. Jeez, he’s so weird.
“Oh thanks, for the ride” I said as he pulled over close to my house, but he didn’t even give me a reply.
I’ve already dropped down from his vehicle, when a car sped really fast blocking his car from moving. I waited to see who it actually was, and was surprised to see Alexa. Jeez, what is she even doing in such an area.
Jeremy came down, when she stumped to the front of how vehicle after giving me a death glare.
“What the hell are you still doing with this bitch, after I’ve already told your mum about her? ” She asked
” You don’t own me Alexa to monitor my movement, please move away, I need to go home” he said
” I can’t just move away, I’ve been around all this while, just to make sure you accept me and don’t fall into a bitch trap, and you’re here with this lowlife imbecile” she said
” You know, I was actually avoiding you, but you just made me hopeless, to discover you were following me around all those while, Alexa please just move away” he said.
” i won’t. Jeremy why don’t you just accept me, I’m genuinely, you’re the first guy I had ever begged this much just to be a friend, but you aren’t even considering me” she said
” I’m sorry Alexa, but it doesn’t work that way from me, Please I have to go” he said
” No Jeremy I won’t” she said
” Fine have my keys, you know the way to my house, you can drive the car there, I’ll find my way home” he said stretching his keys to her.
” No, I’ll move” she said reluctantly rushing to her car moving away from his.
Jeremy hopped into his car and drove away. I had no choice than to go back in, but I was stopped hearing Alexa’s voice.
“Hey you, where do you think you’re going” she said angrily stumping to me.
“I’m going in” I replied
“You’re going in? After all the damages you’ve caused me?” She said
“Uhmm.. what damages are you talking about? I don’t remember doing anything to you or you properties” I said
” Oh common, don’t act naive, you know what I’m talking about” she said
” Sorry I don’t” I replied folding my hands together
” I won’t talk too much today, all I have to tell you is to stay away from my man, try your possible best to stay far away from him, good radiance” she said walking away angrily….
Hmm… That didn’t go well. I mean, it’s not my fault that he decided to offer me a ride, is it? This Alexa is something else,we following someone around when you can do something better.. jeez!! I need to teqll Olivia about this….

Three Days Later
Monday, 17th June, 2019.
It’s a day to the day I’ll finally perform in the front of millions of people showing in different TV station all thanks to Olivia. Three weeks ago, I was walking into this school hopeless of the path I’ll follow not until the time I met with Olivia, she’s my guardian angel in this school.
I don’t know why, but I’m just happy, probably because my brother is recovering and acting responsible and also promise to get a job when he fully recovered, I never believed this could happen, I mean, for a wh0le 6 years, I’ve been the one working and battling with his behaviors and suddenly things turned out well. I don’t mean to say this, but I’m happy he had that encounter with those guys.
“Boomm” a voice said startling me from behind….
Jeez!!
I looked back to discover it was Olivia, Romeo and Stephanie. Quite unusual, Stephanie was smiling today, I wonder what got into her, maybe she won a lottery or something.
“Olivia, why did you do that, I almost fell” I said feigning annoyance.
“Almost, you didn’t” she said laughing at her joke which wasn’t funny to me, we just stared at her weirdly until she finally noticed…
“Ohh, so, as you all know, tomorrow is the audition. The school is already booming with preparation, and I can bet that with Stella in our midst, this is going to be the best audition ever” Olivia said happily making me blush.
” Pitts!! It’s not going to be in anyway so special because of Stella” Stephanie said rolling her eyes making me chuckle.
“Common babe, loosen up a little” Romeo said to her.
“Of course, we are in this together, we all make everything special” Olivia said.
” Fine, but I’m only doing this because of Romeo. And a bit of Olivia and Stella” Stephanie replied
” That’s great” Olivia said happily, she’s always the cheerful one among us.
“So today is gonna be our last practice, why don’t we all practice together” I suggested.
” Great idea Stella, it’s really gonna be fun” Olivia supported
” Of course we don’t mind, right Steph?” Romeo said and Stephanie smiled in agreement. That does it.
We all went to the cafeteria together to grab some lunch and then we all went to a secret room practicing with happiness, it’s so great to have a friend like them, I mean, you got no reason to be sad.

🌻 Karen’s pov🌻
I stood from afar watching Stella talking to another lady, I don’t know why, but I just feel attracted to her, she reminds me of alot of things, especially my little girl I left a long time ago immediately I gave birth to her, I don’t know how my kids would feel growing up without a mother but under the care of Damon who was an abusive husband to me , I’m sure he’d do the same to them. I won’t give up hope, cause I do believe I don’t find them one day.
Still watching and admiring her from afar, I noticed she was now walking to my direction alone, it seems she has seen me.
“Hey ma’am Karen” she said smiling.
“Stella!! I’m so happy to see you, it’s been long” I said to her
“Oh I Know,I’m just preoccupied by the preparation for the audition. Just saw you from afar and decided to stop by to say hello.” She said
” Oh, how nice of you. So you’re performing in the audition” I said
“Yes, it was just by chance” she replied
” Wow, that’s a great previledge, allot of people strife to perform in the school programs, and you just came not long ago, you’re really lucky child” I said
” Thanks ma’am” she replied
” So how do you feel about it?” I asked.
“Kinda nervous” she replied
“Don’t worry Stella, it’s gonna be okay” I said
” Thank you” she replied
” So can I get a hug?” I asked unconsciously.
“Of course” she replied coming to give me a quick hug.
“Uhmm.. I have to go now, someone is waiting for me” she said
” It’s fine bye dear” I said
” Bye” she replied walking away.
