Previously
They all appeared under a huge udara tree. They saw several bush paths and they became confuse on the path to take. Uzodinma briefly closes her eyes before opening it and pointed at a path that was on the left.
“We should go that way”, Uzodinma said pointing at the real way. Without any doubt they all followed that path.
Two pair of eyes which shone with fiery fire suddenly appeared in the sky as the eyes stare down at the seven people.
“Hmm, they had guess the right way. Let me see how they will be able to overcome the spirit of confusion”.
And the eyes closes

The Seven had been walking for almost an hour. Uzodinma, the leader, stopped all of a sudden and started looking around them. Others were surprised by her gesture.
“Uzo, did you see anything?” Odum questioned.

“Something strange is coming. I can’t really make out the face or whatever that is coming to us but it is heading this way”. Uzodinma replied to their hearings.
“What are we going to do now?” Prince Ebuka asked, panicking.
“Should we engage the strange something into a fight?” Ikenga suggested.
Before Uzodinma could reply, a horrified roar filled the air.
It scared them a bit including Uzodinma.
“It is here”. Ikenga alarmed.
A beast appeared. All black. It was made of clay and partly wood as it stood at the road, blocking their way. It roared again, its sharpened razor teeth showed. Its face was terrifying, its hair was so long that it trailed after him.
“This is no ordinary beast. This is a beast that courses confusion among people”. Ikemefuna explained. His Agu had told him.

“Spirit of confusion?” Ikenna asked.
“Yes and the only way we can escape from it is to use its weakness”. Ikemefuna answered. Uzodinma knew it was his Agu that was communicating with them.
“What weakness?” Odum asked, eagerly to attack.
The beast roars louder and opened its mouth w¡der and it began to expand. A whitish smoke diffused from its mouth and started travelling towards them.
“Music! A beautiful song that hasn’t been sung before can only pleased it. Once that smoke reaches us we’ll be so confused walking into its mouth thinking its the right way. Ojadike you know how to sing, you will sing to the beast”. Ikemefuna proffered the solution.
Ojadike nodded in understanding and began to think of a new song he had never sing before.

He came up with an idea on the song to sing. He quickly brought out his flute. The whitish-smoke had almost gotten to them when Ojadike started blowing his flute and the smoke became freeze just a few metres away from them.
Ojadike stopped and opened his mouth to sing a song he had never sung before:

The beast’s eyes dilated as it gave a nod. Its mouth that was expanded before started closing back and the feeze-smoke vanished.

“Hurry up now, let’s start going. The music can only effect him for five minutes before it wear off. We have to move now”. Ikemefuna explained as he bravely moved towards the beast and then followed a tiny space that was beside the beast and came out of the other side. The others quickly followed his steps and once they were at the other side they all took to their heels.
They had gone a few pace from the beast when they heard its roar.
“I can see a cave not far from us. Let us hurry up before that thing gets to meet us”. Ikenga told them and lead them to cave to hide from the beast.
Uzodima stopped and stare at the cave “This is the way we have to take” she turned and smiled at Ikenga. “You brought us to the right path Ikenga. Come on let’s go in,side”.

*****************************
In the realm of the spirit world, 5 different creatures were waiting for the sixth spirit who is their leader to speak out.
The fiery red eyes opened and a male voice spoke out.
“They have deceived the spirit of confusion with their music. What I don’t understand is how can a mere boy, a mortal, deceive the spirit of Confusion with his mere flute and song?”
“Amadioha blessed the boy with the gift of music. I can sense that others has theirs too”. A female from the 5 creatures replied.
“Why didn’t you tell me so that I would not have sent the spirit of Confusion to them?”

“How can I know my lordsh¡p, I can only sense what powers they had if they have defeated their enemies”.
“Hmm I see. Let me see how they will defeat the great python of the old”.
One creature came out of the 5 and step in front of their leader.
“You know what to do. Use your powers to block whatever visions that little girl in their midst has and lead them to you. Once they are within your grasp kill them all without any delay”. The creature bowed and left their presence.
“Do you by any chance know why they are in the land of the spirits?” The female creature asked.
The fiery eyes looked towards her direction.

“They are here in search of Amadioha’s knife”.
One of the creature gasped out and asked “Didn’t they know what had happened to the kinfe of the gods?”
“I don’t think so, but form what I see, nothing can stop them from taking the knife”. The one with the fiery eyes replied.
“Then we have to stop them”. The female creature said and the rest nodded in agreement.
What the seven children of Amadioha did not know was that the knife which they had all seek out for, wasn’t in its form again, the knife had long been transformed into a living being.
The one with the fiery eyes is the transformation. He is Amadioha’s knife.
****************************
The creature who had left the realm of the spirit appeared and transformed into it’s real form. A Very huge and longest python in silvery Color
It made its way to the cave where children of Amadioha was in and positioned itself a bit distance at the left side of the cave, where it will be seen once they came out.
The python opened his mouth wide, rolled its tongue out of the mouth, the tongue rolled out and landed in front of the cave. It Immediately turned into a clay. The python, now a clay, patiently wait for its prey.

They all came out of the cave through the other end. Uzodinma was the first person who saw the clay.
“I want to take a look at that huge clay there”. She said pointing at the clay.
“But you know that we are here for something important than sight seeing” Prince Ebuka said reminding her.
“I know, but look at how it is, so huge and beautiful. Come on, let’s quickly have a look at it”. Uzodinma said persist on going into the cave.
They all turned to look at the clay when suddenly they all agreed to what Uzodinma had said.
With no argument they all walked towards the cave.

When they started walking towards the clay cave, they had forgotten at that moment what their mission was in the first place.
‘Ikemefuna you have to stop your friends, you all are walking into a trap”. Agu voice told him but Ikemefuna wasn’t in control of his body anymore and so didn’t acknowledge the voice of his Agu.
By now they had gotten to the mouth of the cave and without delay they started venturing into the cave.
Odum felt something was amiss when they entered cave
Agu knowing that it was a trick tried to communicate with Ikemefuna but to no avail.

Agu knew the story of the great Python of the old.
Anyone who had glanced at the python will be so attracted to it that they won’t know when they had walked into its belle and that would be the end of them. The Python’s venom was so deadly that whatever it touches dies immediately. That was what had happened to the seven as they all journeyed to the cave.
Odum wasn’t that affected by it but still went ahead with them. Once they got to the mouth of the cave, Odum knew that something was amiss when he felt that the cave looked more of a python than a clay and tried to convince the others.

“Something isn’t right about this” Odum began and continued as they pressed forward into the cave. “Come on let us go back and begin our journey, we don’t have much time”.
But no one answered him.
Meanwhile Agu had tried all he could to communicate with Ikemefuna but it was as if he was speaking to a wall.
Agu seeing that Ikemefuna wasn’t responding to him decided to use the only person who was sane among them.
He quickly went into Odum’s body.
‘Odum, this is a trap you all are walking into. Your friends are all enchanted by the great Python of the old. To break off the enchantment you will use your left palm to touch the tip of your staff and rub it on each of their faces and they will regain themselves’.
Agu immediately dispatched himself from Odum and went back to Ikemefuna’s.
By now they had stolen a few distance further into the cave.
Immediately Odum carried out the order as he was told by the voice.
When he had done so, all of them quickly regain themselves, Uzodinma was the first to speak.

“Ewwwwww, this place is so smelly. What are we doing……” she pauses as she took a look around them. “We need to get out of here now!!!!!”
As they all ran out, the Python tongue pushed them all in,side his stomach and they fell down. Some of its venom fell on them as the Python started wringing itself letting the venom splashing all over them, but strangely enough the children of Amadioha wasn’t by any chance affected by the venom.
Odum immediately stood up to his feet and ran towards the Python’s mouth when he saw that it had bagan to close. He grab hold of the two sharp fangs of the Python and uses one of his foot to hold the lower path down, preventing it from closing.

The rest quickly stood up to their feets and ran out. Odum seeing all of them were out did the unthinkable. He use his hands that were holding the fangs and pulled them out completely. He then proceed to use the fangs against the owner. The python gave out a mighty hissing sound and died. Odum quickly came out of its mouth and they all continued their journey.
Soon dusk came and Ikenga cleared some bushes for them to sleep.
They slept off after using their staffs to form a circle around them. No matter how strong a spirit is, it can’t penetrate where the staff . The staff was their shield in the land of the spirits.

*************************
“This is unbelievable, how did they defeat the great Python of the old”. The fiery eyes spoke out angrily at the slient creatures by his side. “I want them stop by all means. Send the warriors of the ancient. Let me see how they will be able to defeat them”.
