The next day, Pauline and Ken in company of some guards and driver went to the mall to shop for ingredients that Ken would use to cook according to their bet.
He was to make fried rice and peppered chicken.
They got home and Pauline stretched out her legs on the dinning.
“Madam won’t you come and help out?” Ken asked
“Help gini? You’re the one doing the cooking na” Pauline said
“But…”
“No buts..Mr Chef go in and show me your talent” Pauline said pushing him in,side the kitchen.
For 20minutes, Ken fumbled with the ingredients lying on the kitchen cabinet.
Honestly, he didn’t Know how to cook a proper meal except Noodles. For a moment, he regretted bragging to Pauline that he could cook but he wouldn’t give up.
“Fried rice na.. I’ll simple fry the rice” he said to himself
He washed the raw rice thoroughly before lighting the cooker, he poured a reasonable amount of vegetable oil and then poured the raw rice into it and started stirring it with a spoon.
Soon, he noticed the rice was turning brown. It was burning!
Pauline ran into the kitchen as she perceived the smell of burning food.
“PauPau, I don’t understand whats happening” Ken murmured.
Pauline immediately off the cooker and looked into the pot of rubbish
She laughed hærd and long till tears began to come out of coolval stories her eyes.
“Kendrick nwa Samuelson Ogbu!! What did you say you’re cooking again?” Pauline asked admist intense laughter.
Ken hissed “why would you ask me to prepare fried rice of all food? Can’t you say I should cook Noodles..or hot tea..or fried egg?”
PauPau kept laughing..”No, I must video this and post on Instagram. Let the bloggers see it and publish it, so they can tell the wh0le world that the son of Samuelson Ogbu cannot cook!” Pauline said bringing out her phone
“You won’t dare!” Ken snatched the phone from her
“Enyia gimme my phone” Pauline grabbed him by the shirt
He simply raised the phone up with his hands “shortie, oya come and collect it na”
Pauline hissed “you’re just too tall..”
Ken laughed mocking her..
“So what do we eat now?”
“Nothing” Pauline said walking out of the kitchen
“Nothing?”Ken followed her
“You messed up everything..plus I have lecture by 11 this morning” She sat down on the couch
Ken sat beside her. “Pauline, I love you”
The statement threw her off balance. She stared at him.
“What did you say?”
“I love you so much..I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Like, you’re everything I want in a woman. Nice, jovial, funny, friendly, a good cook, intellectually sound…just name it”
Pauline sighed
“I have a complicated past. There are so many things you don’t know about me”
“That you have a child?” Ken asked
Pauline was shocked “you know?”
“Yes, I made my findings…it still doesn’t change what I feel for you..”
Tears dropped from Pauline’s eyes.
Ken moved close to her and held her face “I love you exactly the way you are. I don’t want a relationsh¡p. I want marriage..so Pauline Olaedo Ezike, Will you marry me?” He went down on his knees and brought out a box of pure gold ring.
The door opened, Zipporah, Ken’s mum, Baddo and the guards came in.
“Please Marry him!” Baddo said
“Please Marry my brother” Zipporah pleaded
“Marry our boss and be our madam” Jack laughed
“You won’t regret it, say yes to my son please” Ken’s mum smiled.
Pauline was speechless. She didn’t believe her ears or eyes. She never saw this coming.
She bursted into tears.
“Yes. Yes… I’ll marry you” She cried
Ken slid the ring into her finger, rose up and k-ssed her passionately. The others clapped cheerfully.
Paparazzi and the press immediately came in. They had been covering the wh0le episode with a hidden camera. It was all Ken and Baddo’s idea.
He informed his mum about his plan and she approved.
The celebration was in full gear when they were interrupted by a gunshot followed by a scre-m

Presh and Gozie k-ssed and ravaged each other in the room.
“I want you baby” Presh murmured k-ssing Gozie
“No no…wait, I want you to be sure about this..” Gozie said
“I’m not a V-rgin!” She eyed him
“I never said that..”
“Please, I want to have you.. I’m turned on already. I’ve not had s€× for over a year now” Presh said.
“I want us to take things slow..look here, I’m burning to have you” he showed her his already er-cted manh-od
“But I don’t want to make the same mistakes I’ve made in the past. I want to be sure you want this..I want to be able to control my fleshly desires..”
Presh sighed “making sense though”
They hugged each other and kept gisting and laughing.
Soon, the door was opened and Pamela came in with the guards.
“I can see you both are good now..” Pamie smiled
“Thank you so much baby sister” Presh went over and hugged her
“Thanks alot Pamie” Gozie told her
She smiled “let’s get out of here and go celebrate!!”
They all laughed and filled out of the room.
As they got out, few police men jumped out from the bush with guns pointing at them.
“Don’t move! If you move, I shoot!” One of them said
“What’s the meaning of this?” Gozie asked confused.
Immediately, madam Joy and Chief Philip came out of the police car parked somewhere.
“Oh Gozie! Are you alright?” Madam Joy hugged him
“Son are you well?” Chief Philip asked in concern
Gozie was surprised. He didn’t Know how father cared about him.
“Officer! This is the witch that kidnapped my son!” Madam Joy pointed at Pamela who was surprised.
“Mum nobody was kidnapped” Gozie protested
“Hey, you all get into the car .. when you get to the station, you explain!” The police officer said as he filed all of them into the police van.
