I stretched on my limbs as I stood on my toes, I was in my room doing my morning exercise, very very important. I bent down backward, bending my body back until my head touched my ankle. Someone knocked on my door, I twisted my body and stood on my hands, my legs far apart. ‘Come in,’ the door opened slightly, Yolanda stuck her head in,side. ‘Hi Lan, what’s up?’
‘Good morning,’ she greeted.
‘Morning love, did you sleep well?’
‘Yes….,? What are you doing?’
‘Stretching,’
‘Why?’ She asked sitting on my bed.
‘I’m a gymnast, it’s important to stretch my bones to every angle,’ I said pushing my legs to the right in a way I looked like an upsidedown “L”
‘Wow, your body can bend to that extent? It’s nice. You look like someone with no bones,’
‘Dancing and gymnastics is the one thing my father paid money on I actually paid attention to. Even when I was forced to music school, I didn’t focus at all but I still know how to sing. If I had paid attention, I would have been a popstar by now.’
‘He wanted one of you to be a popstar?’
‘Pop-rock star, hΓ¦rd rock, techno, or actress. To him, our fame is his fame but none of us were interested. I was the only one who chose to be a cheerleader in highschool,’
‘Do you regret it? Leaving home?’
‘Aside from leaving mom and Carolyn, nothing else.’
‘Carolyn?’
‘My twin sister,’
‘You have a twin?’ She gasped.
‘Not literally,’
‘Huh?’ I flipped myself to my feet.
‘Carolyn is a insane woman who thinks we are twin, she’s sweet and listens to everything I say. You get it?’
‘Tell me about your past, the fun past about you.’ She said cutely. I nodded and twisted my body like I was being wring.
‘Let’s do this another time,’ I grunted. ‘I’m busy.’
‘I was wondering if you want to go for target practice with me,’
‘You shoot guns at your age?’ I asked quizzically.
‘Self-defense, my dad’s a criminal.’
‘Wow,’ I breathe. ‘Just wow,’
‘So, will you come?’
‘Give me ten minutes to go bathe and slip into something more durable,’ she nodded.

I dropped the bag on the ground still looking around the room, some men were shooting at the target dummies and that includes Yolanda’s dad. My stomach turned a little, I glared at it and focused my attention on another guy, wow, he’s hot. ‘I’m here,’ Yolanda said with a chirpy voice.
‘You are late,’ her dad said calmly.
‘I was busy dragging Vee along,’
‘I can swear we agreed that you will keep that thing away from me,’ he said with his normal calmness as he fired at the targets with eyes blindfolded.
‘Like the thing wants to be around your ugly hopeless self,’ I scoffed silently. Damn it! He heard me because he turned the gun to my direction and fired. I watched the bullet fly towards my head in slow motion; sometimes my eyes and mind do that, zone in on things and play it in slow motion. As crazy as it may sound, it has been like that since I was a baby and that is why I never get hit, like literally, nothing have ever hit me before. For example; if a ball is coming my way or a golf, I always see it coming and my reflexes helps me dodge it.
Back to the point, I saw the bullet coming and quickly stepped out in time, it flew pass my nose, three inches away and hit another guy at my back. I started coughing due to the smoke from the bullet I inhaled. ‘Seriously, dad is that f-cking what we agreed on!’
‘You see, I’m a lucky star. The first time you tried to shoot me, another idiot took the bullet, same thing now.’ I coughed out with a smug grin.
‘Someone get him treated, now!’ He yelled and then glared at me, his blindfold pulled down. I winked at him, a action that caused him to flare up.
‘Dad, don’t shoot!’
‘Take that girl out of here!’
‘Maybe you should leave Vee,’
‘My pleasure,’ I turned around and started swaying my hΒ‘ps away. I turned around halfway and smirked at him. ‘Watch a true queen catwalk away boys, you’ll love it.’ I gave them a general wink and continued walking away elegantly.
‘Breathe daddy, breathe.’ Yolanda laughed.
πŸ’š Ted πŸ’š
‘I still don’t get why her words piss you off so easily, you are usually in control. What is your headache?’ Carlos asked calmly as he flipped through the files.
‘She is rude, arrogant, egotistical, egoistical, bossy, too fearless and very very idiotic!’ I yelled as I continued pacing around. ‘She dodged my bullet, who does that! I never miss!’
‘She’s rude, arrogant, egotistical, egoistical, bossy, too fearless and very very idiotic,’ he repeated. ‘That’s you describing yourself, not her.’
‘Are you trying to say I’m idiotic!’
‘Exclude that and add the rest, you know that I am saying the truth. That girl is fearless, yes. The rest however I disagree, if she was so, will Yolanda still be with you?’
‘Of course, she’s a smart kid, she would have found a way to get back.’
‘Ted, you s-ck at showing gratitude, sympathy, sincerity and politeness.’
‘Why should I, I will never condescend to doing such.’ I huffed, folding my arms as I stopped pacing.
‘You are hopeless,’ he said with a pathetic shake of his head. ‘Anyways, Marilyn got us into Lucius’s network, his personal data.’
‘And….?’ I smiled.
‘Lucius has stolen more than expected, he is planning to bomb your warehouse in Germany tomorrow and he also have an underground work digging their way here, right under your house.’
My eyes wΒ‘dened. ‘Are you shitting me?’
‘No, the work have been going on for almost four years now. The digging have gotten to the border of Milan, soon it will get here.’
I laughed and shook my head. ‘And I didn’t know,’ I rubbed my palms together. ‘What else did you get?’
‘We were only able to get the list of all his schedules, his plans for both us and others. I have to admit, Lucius is smart.’
‘Here’s what you will do, take two squads, go to the entrance of the underground tunnel and throw in as many gas as possible. Make sure everyone one of them is locked in,side, that is one. Also, inform the German workers about the bombing’
‘Wouldn’t Lucius suspect?’
‘On second thought, get me that sister of his, I need to talk to her myself.’
‘Alright,’ he stood up heavily and walked out. I went to the window to glare at that girl again, she was there studying with Yolanda. I looked down at them, they weren’t there anymore but their books were there.
‘Where did you go,’ I mused. I walked to the large plasmas on my wall and turned the surveillance cameras on. I searched each room until I found them in MY ROOM! ‘Yolanda!!!!’ I thundered. I turned off the plasmas and stomped to my room, literally kicked the door open but there weren’t there. I huffed. ‘Where did they go?’ I hit my head, nothing looked touched. I sighed and headed back to the office. I changed direction when I heard loud music, very loud one. I followed the sound to the third living room.
I face palmed myself, the stupid girl was teaching my daughter how to twerk. What is wrong with this girl! ‘No Yolanda, bend your knees like this…. And then back back back, aright?’
‘What is going on here?!’ I shouted. She sighed and stood up straight. ‘I told you to teach my daughter books, not the act of sed-ction!’
‘Do you always have to shout? You are ageing faster with how much you yell.’ I glared dagger at her but as usual, she didn’t seem bothered by it.
‘Yolanda, your teacher will be here soon and not one word of arguem…..’ I paused as the useless girl began nodding her head vigorously and shaking her stupid ass in a cartoonish manner. ‘Will you turn that thing off?’ Yolanda turned the music off but she was still dancing, even got more intense.
‘Vee, what are you doing?’ Yolanda laughed, I ought to be irritated but I was highly amused.
‘Can’t you hear that song? Legit!’ She shouted, her voice sounded like a painful screech in my ears.
‘What song you nitwit! There is none playing!’
‘Then why am I dancing if there is none,’ she said with a duh tone.
‘How about you are mentally unstable, a psychopath.’ I snapped. She ignored me and switched to air guitar, Yolanda joined her. I just realise something, she will infect my daughter with her madness, this is a serious matter.
‘Oh yeah yeah,’ oh no, she’s singing. If she sings, Yolanda sings and her voice sounded like a wicked witch’s cackle, so annoying and worth ear bleeding.
‘Enough!’ I shouted.
‘Oh oh oh,’ too late. ‘Yeah….’ The rainbow haired flinched and fell in confusion. I burst out a laugh a little and swallowed it in. ‘Sometimes I like to blend
Like a book on a shelf
Sometimes I wear my jeans
Like anyone else
There’s million of chameleons
Blending in all around
Sometimes I just wanna be found….’ Rainbow crawled over to me, the first thing that terrifies her. Nice.
‘Cause there is so much more to me
More than I can ever show
If you wanna fly with me….’
‘Psst,’ rainbow whispered. ‘Is she singing or crying?’
‘Singing,’ I said, wiggling my index finger in my ear. ‘See what you’ve caused?’
‘That’s not singing, that’s a death sentence!’ She whispered yelled. ‘You distract her while I run.’
‘Why do I have to be the one to distract her?’
‘You are the father and I am the friend, that’s why. Now cheer why I still have my ears intact.’
‘We can’t leave, she’ll blow a fuss,’ I said with an eye roll. My head was starting to ache.
‘Oh,’ she said disappointedly. I averted my eyes back to Yolanda. I wonder if I can sedate her and have her vocal cord removed, it makes sense.
‘….I’m not the same melody
That everyone sings
Can’t you tell I’m hiding my wings.
Cause there is so much more to me
More than I can ever show
If you wanna fly with me
There is one thing I gotta know
Gotta know….’ The door slammed shut. My eyes wΒ‘dened, I turned around sharply… She locked me in!
‘Rainbow!!! Rainbow open this door!!!’ I shouted, hammering on the door, it was a soundproof heavy medal door; I was screwed.
‘Daddy be quiet,’ Yolanda snapped. ‘You are ruining my vibe. Now sit down, I have three more songs to sing.’ I hammered on the door louder.
‘Somebody get me out of here!!!’
‘Teddy Berry!’ She shouted. I slid down the door almost in tears.
‘No oo, don’t leave me here.’
‘Can you see the….’ F-ck my life.
πŸͺ🍘 Cookie 🍘πŸͺ
‘Cookie you’re so awesome, so awesome….’ I sang as I took out the whΒ‘p cream to add to my waffles. I danced around as I sang, men! I’m super cool! I emptied the whΒ‘p cream on the three piece of waffles ad rubbed my hands together.
‘Bitch,’ I looked up, it was that River guy.
‘Bastard, what is it?’
‘Who gave you permission to eat from our kitchen?’
‘Who gave you permission to be born?’ I scoffed. ‘Go away, I’m busy.’
‘You are more annoying than your stupid black friend,’ I looked at his face and burst into laughter, I know Ursula’s ferocious slap mark anywhere. ‘Why are you laughing?’ He asked puzzledly.
‘You are such a weakling getting hit by a girl,’ I laughed. ‘You got slapped, didn’t you?’
‘No, I didn’t.’
‘I know her slap anywhere and that is one of her signature face ripping slap, your cheek is bruised badly and that’s good for you.’
‘Just shut up, I got this bruise in a manly fight with one of the men here,’ he said proudly. I snorted and rolled my fork around.
‘Did you now,’
‘Yes, a very manly fight with someone.’
‘And how many blows did you land on that “man” you fought with?’ I asked jestingly, making air quotation to exaggerate my mockery point.
‘I beat him up badly,’
‘Should I ask Carlos?’
‘Carlos don’t know anything….. Just be quiet and answer my question. Have you seen boss? Carlos is looking for him.’
‘Do I look like your boss’s keeper,’ I seethed.
‘It was a question, don’t be so bitchy about it.’
‘He went to a private concert,’
‘Private concert?’ He asked confusedly.
‘Go away please, my food is about to f-ck my mouth and you are disturbing our privacy.’
‘Who created you? I need to ask him why he gave a witch such a cute face and angelic voice.’
‘Awwwwn, he thinks I’m cute.’ I cooed, battling my lashes.
‘You wish,’ he looked at my plate and shook his head. ‘Pray you die of diarrhea.’
‘Been there already,’ I smirked.
‘Psycho,’ I rolled my eyes and continued eating. I eventually got so involved in my food rom-nce that I didn’t notice the angry sweating guy in front of me, not until he buried my face into the remaining food. I couldn’t breathe, I tried to escape but the person had my head shoved in deep and in place. I reached my long nails over my head and sank it into his hand so deep he yelped and jumped away. I scrambled away, coughing and gasping for air.
‘What was that,’ I coughed looking at Yolanda’s dad.
‘You locked me in there with her, now I can’t feel my ears and head again,’ he said almost inaudibly. ‘My head,’ he whimpered.
‘Every man for himself,’ I said, wiping the cream off my face and licking it.
‘You are going to pay for that, I will lock you up too so you’ll know how it feels to get your head pounded by her voice.’
‘Timmy is an average kid
And no one understands
Mom and dad and Vicky
Always giving him command….’ I sang loudly and horribly to continue from where Yolanda stopped.
‘Oh god,’ he breathe and walked out. I burst into laughter, am I lucky or what!
πŸ’š Ted πŸ’š
I didn’t have the strength to yell at Carlos as he laughed his ass out, it’s a good thing he came to save me but he won’t stop laughing. My head was pounding terribly, I had almost finished a wh0le container of aspirin but nothing was working. The head doctor was injecting me with something that could cool it down.
‘Men! When River said Viona said you were in a private concert, I understood immediately. I can’t believe she locked you hope in there.’
‘Be quiet,’ I whispered.
‘F-ck! She’s a bad singer just like your mother and sister, and your father and….’
‘Don’t you dare complete that word,’
‘But you are also terrible. Remember the first time you had your first crush? How you thought singing for her would make her like you more?’
‘Please don’t remind me,’ I whispered, closing my eyes as the needle was removed. She was the first and only girl I crushed on, like seriously crushed on. I was fourteen then and badly wanted her to like me more than she already did. This evil Carlos convinced me to sing for her, that it would make her love me. I can’t believe I was that stupid enough to believe him, I sang for her and then she tried to excuse herself to run away. In the process of running away from me, she tumbled down the school staircase, almost died. Survived but lost her memories for a year.
‘Tale as old as time,’ he sang the foolish song he tricked me into singing.
‘Carlos, shut it.’
‘True as it can be…..’
‘Sing again and I swear, I will make Yolanda sing for you too.’
‘Pinned,’ he made a mock lip pinning but still laughed.
‘I just need to find a way to get back at this witch, the very witch,’
‘Are you talking about Viona?’
‘She’s a witch, I must get my revenge.’
‘You, Teddy Allen, plotting to prank a girl?’ He asked amusedly. I cringed, why did my mom named me Teddy again? My middle name is worse. That is why I changed my name to Ame but he won’t stop calling me that.
‘I am not pranking her, I’m just going to teach her a lesson.’
‘That’s the same thing,’
‘No, it’s not. Pranking is childish, lesson is not.’ I defended pettishly.
‘Are you alright Teddy? It seems like the song have gotten into your head.’
‘Stop calling me that,’ I snapped, I winced at the pain in my head. ‘I’m okay, I know what I’m doing. Tomorrow, let her clean the coyotes cage, dress her up like a maid.’
‘Are you sick?’
‘No, I’m not.’
‘Boss, can I come in?’ River asked from the other side of the door. ‘Marilyn is here.’
‘Come in,’ Carlos said with eyes still fixed on me. River opened the door and ushered the girl in, she intentionally stepped on his foot and pushed him so he would fall. Again, River fell flat on the floor.
‘Oh I’m sorry, that was unintentionally,’ she said sweetly and stepped on his hand. ‘Oops,’ I looked at Carlos questionably. He shrugged and returned his gaze to her. ‘Good morning sir,’
‘Afternoon,’ I corrected. ‘The information we got only gave us his schedules, not the location of all his bases and treasure houses.’
‘Those information are strictly doc-mented in a book, that is a risk he can’t take. If I may suggest, I already pass the locations of the ones I know. If you want to attack, you should attack him from all angles so he won’t have time to change location. Also, the schedule should also be dealt with the exact actions, so he won’t feel predicted and have enough time to change it.’
‘I already know that is what I should do, I don’t need you telling me that,’ she bowed frighteningly.
‘I’m sorry sir,’
‘All of you, get out.’ I ordered the rest of them including the doctors. They didn’t question, just stood up and walked out. I used my finger to signal her to come, she walked to me quiveringly. I pointed to the floor.
‘Sir?’
‘Kneel,’
‘I should what?’
‘Kneel,’ she looked around in fear. ‘Don’t let me repeat myself,’ I threatened. She gulped and went on her knees between my legs. I lifted her chin up and stared into her jade lensed eyes. ‘Your rainbow friend, what is her real name?’
‘Sir?’
‘I really hate repeating myself,’
‘Cookie, are real name is Cookie.’ I’m not the only one with name issue parents.
‘What is the one thing that can weaken her, make her helpless?’
‘I don’t know,’
‘Should I give you out to my boys to finish you up?’
‘No,’ she whimpered. ‘To the best of my knowledge, her mother is her only weakness, her mother and food.’
‘Food?’
‘Approximately,’
‘Get out.’ She stood up and ran out. I smiled with satisfaction, Cookie. All I need is her phone and I get what I need.
Brilliant!
To be continued.
