>>>>>>>>>>>>> Narrative <<<<<<<<<<<<< (What happened to Cookie) The bulky short man gazed down at the girl on the boat, lusting after her body. He was suppose to throw her into the sea as ordered but he didn't want to do that without getting a taste of her. He looked at his partner as the taller man drove the boat without a smile. 'Wouldn't it be a shame to throw this valuable piece of jewel away?' He finally voiced out his thought. His partner looked at him over his shoulder. 'I mean, the fiancée of Ame, such treasure.' 'She is useless now,' 'Yet he will do anything to get her back.' 'She's as good as dead, permanent coma.' 'Alberto would pay a big price for her,' the short man said, looking back at the sleeping lady. 'You know he loves having his women unconscious because he's sick. Imagine one that he won't have to sedate all the time, just f-ck and leave and the best part of it all, the love of Ame's life. He would be so glad to share a woman with him.' 'Alessandro,' the one driving the boat sighed. 'Do you want us dead?' 'Don't be a chicken, we can make money from her and no one will know she is alive.' 'And what make you so sure that Alberto will buy her?' 'Why don't you make the call and find out.' Alessandro, the short man smirked. The taller man, Callisto by name thought about the tempting offer. He sighed and picked up his phone. Maybe the call would connect from where they were on the sea. Alessandro had other plans. All he needed to do was exploit Callisto's connection with the buyer, get the money and kill Callisto. Then the money would be all his. The plan was perfect. ~ ~ ~ It took them a day but they were able to successfully sneak her into Barcelona and found a way to hide in an abandoned warehouse in Raval. How she was still breathing without medical support was a shock to them but it was for their own good. Alessandro was left alone with the lady while his partner went on to carry out the deal. He already had it all planned, sleep with her before they return. Laying the helpless girl down, he dropped his guns beside her head and hastily took off his belt. 'Alessandro!' Callisto shouted. Alessandro sighed. 'What do you think you are doing?!' 'Nothing,' he grumbled and buckled his belt back. 'Why did you come back?' 'To get my gun. So, if I didn't come back, you would have raped her?' Callisto sneered. 'And so? No harm done.' Alessandro shrugged. 'You are coming with me because there is no way I am leaving her alone with you.' 'We can't leave her alone.' 'Dude, she's a vegetable, she isn't moving.' 'Why can't I stay back?' Alessandro frowned. Severin glared at him. 'Fine, whatever. She wouldn't have made the s€× enjoyable anyways.' Callisto watched him as he packed up his guns, one fell over at the side unknown to him. He tucked them into his belt and turned around to leave. Alessandro had plans to return with the lie of forgetting something so he could sleep with the unconscious girl. Both stayed quiet as Callisto drove, drowned in thoughts about their boss who had been taken by Ame. 'Wouldn't it be better if we return her?' Callisto asked out with fear. 'I mean, what if Ame finds us? He'll kill us.' 'He will kill us either way.' 'We can lie, say we...' 'Look Callisto, you know he is ruthless, he will kill us before we even get the chance to escape. Right now, hiding with Alberto seems better, for the sake of our lives.' 'Are you sure?' 'I'm sure, very sure.' 💖 Valeria 💖 I parked my car in front of the abandoned warehouse I hid the money I stole. I wiggled my nose and smiled proudly. I stole the money from a rich old chief, he will never find me. I opened the door and stepped out of the car, my old car. I planned on selling and buying a better one and changing my wardrobe too. What else? Get my ass out of Rambla de Raval Boulevard and maybe find a house in Gothic Quarters or anywhere safer than my street. I slammed the door shut and walked to the warehouse. I opened the door a little and walked in,side, turning my phone flashlight on. I hummed a random tone as I walked over to where I kept my money. I pushed the barrows aside and knelt down with the crowbar in my hand. I pried the marked s₱0t open and grinned at the small bag of money. Not much but enough to change my life a little. I carried the bag out and pulled it into my chest. 'Life saver.' You are probably wondering who I am. My name is Valería Valeroso. Don't question my surname, I'm not my parent. I grew up with my mother in Spain, all my life was spent in Spain. She told me my father denied being responsible for me when she was newly pregnant so her family kicked her out. She had to move to Spain because of the shame but lucky for her, she later met her husband years later. They had three more children and the man already had a grown up daughter then. Anyways, life wasn't that great for me, not at all. At the age of ten, I started fending for myself because my stepfather's hate for me grew too much. He wanted me out of the house but mom begged and begged so the condition was that I would feed and clothe myself without her assistant or he would divorce her. Mom loved him and didn't want to lose him so she complied. She honestly didn't love me that much, so it was easy for her to make such a decision. Thankfully, my stepsister and younger brothers were nice enough to share their food and money with me but not all the time. At sixteen, I left home, got my own apartment. I had to join a small group of thieves to operate with them to survive. Few times, I used my body to get money. I trained myself through school and since I couldn't afford being a doctor, I became a nurse. I later had to take over my stepsister's son and youngest brother's responsibility after my family died in a crash. So as it is, I'm a passionate nurse, a caring mother to two boys and a criminal. How cool is my life? 'Coco,' someone mo-ned in pain. I flinched and stood up with the bag. 'Coco, where are you?' It was a female's voice, a beautiful light one at that. 'Coco...' I walked over to the voice, flashing my light at the person's face. I saw a lady with rainbow hair – very long hair – laying on a table. She was tossing and whimpering as tears rolled down her cheeks and sweat drench her face like she was having a mental battle. 'Ted...' I picked up the gun on the floor and stared at it. 'Miss? Are you okay?' I asked with concern. Something about her called out to me, begged me to help. I dropped the gun near her hand and tapped her w-t cheek. She opened her eyes, her blood red eyes and coughed. 'Miss?' 'Coco,' she gasped out. She grabbed the collar of my shirt and started mouthing something. 'I don't understand you. What are you trying to say?' 'Can't... Long... Must survive...' Was all I could pick out. 'Miss?' She let go of my shirt and took my palm. She wrote something down with her finger. 'Huh?' 'Call him...' She gasped for breath. '...Allen...' Was all I heard. More tears rolled down my eyes. She closed her eyes, her nose was bleeding. What happened to her? 'I can't hold on much longer. They are back, please, don't let me die. I must get back to Coco, to dad... Yolanda.' That was the first real sentence I heard her say. I was busy admiring her beautiful voice. So adorable! The lights turned on. I scre-med and turned around to see two men walking in. 'What are you doing in here?!' The short one barked. Who are you?' The taller one snapped. I shakily walked forward, blocking them from the girl. 'I came to take my money,' I said, showing them my bag. 'You hid your money here?' I nodded. 'Why?' 'Because I stole it from someone I shouldn't steal from.' I said boldly, swallowing back my fear. 'Come here,' the taller one commanded. I foolishly walked to them, trying to think of a plan. 'Give me the bag.' I gave it to him. 'How old are you?' '26,' 'What's your name?' 'Tulip Delgado.' I replied sharply. 'She's smart, we can sell her too.' 'Sell me?' I asked with w¡dened eyes. 'Why?!' 'You should be grateful I haven't shot you yet,' the short one snapped. 'Now come here...' He dragged my hand. I struggled with him, turning their backs to the girl in the process. 'Just hold still! I'm just going to f-ck you a little!' 'Let go of me!' Two sharp gunshots blared into my ears, making me scre-m out in fright. The men dropped dead. I looked up at the girl, she shot them. When did she sit up? Did she shoot them with her eyes closed? 'Bastard,' she muttered. I picked up my bag and ran to her. 'Please, help me with something very important before I die...' 'You are bleeding, you need to see a doctor.' I said with concern. 'Food,' she whispered. 'I haven't eaten a thing, I threw up so much before I was kidnapped. Give me food before I die.' I stared at her with disbelief. She is already dying but still asking for food?! 'There is food in my car...' 'Take me, please,' she dropped her legs. Her eyes were still close. She managed to stand up and leaned on me for support. I helped her to my car and placed her in the passenger seat. She held my shirt again. 'Food,' I threw the money into the backseat and handed her the take out I bought for my stepsister's son. 'Thank you. Do you have gasoline?' 'Yes...?' 'Do me a favour. Go back in there, drop the gun I used on them and pour gasoline over their bodies. Find a rope or wire, dip it in the fuel and stretched it out, make sure you take the lighter in the short one's pocket and then run out. Immediately you are out, light the rope and run back to the car. Then drive off before the rope burn to the bodies. The warehouse is filled with empty crude oil barrows, it should explode.' 'Wow,' I muttered. 'Can you do it?' She asked as she unwrapped the taco. She was finishing her sentence in a very low whisper and I could still hear the pain in her tone and see it in her body movement. She was in great pain but was pretending to be okay. What exactly is this girl? 'Yes, I can.' 'Go,' she whispered. 'Please Angel Lady, no matter what happens, don't let me die, don't give up on me.' I nodded and shut her door. I ran over to the booth, opened it and carried my gallon of fuel. I carried the rope there too and walked back into the warehouse. I did exactly as she said; drop the gun, pour the fuel, drawl the rope out, set it on fire and ran to the car. I opened the door, jumped in, started the car and drove off fast. She was done eating and had passed out with her head on the window. 'Miss?' The sudden explosion jerked my car forward. She wasn't wearing her seatbelt. She jerked forward like I did and bashed her head on the dashboard. My head hit the steering wheel too. My ears started ringing, I still needed to drive us to safety. I started the car again and blindly drove us to the hospital. ~ ~ ~ I sat in the waiting room with a bandaged head, praying silently that the girl be okay. She was the same age as my brother, if he was alive that is. My youngest brother and nephew sat with me, holding my hands as I waited. I had grown attach to her just in two days. Something about her was pulling me close. The doctor walked out of the laboratory and sighed sadly. 'Dr. Mike?' 'Valería, where did you say you found this girl?' 'On the street. She was homeless so I offered her my roof but then the accident happened.' I lied. 'Are you sure?' I nodded positively. 'The test shows she was already having severe brain damage, from her memory core. She must have been pulling through but the hit against the dashboard has ruined that. Right now, we need to carry out an operation on her, to see if there is something we can do about the damage. Her brain must have been tampered with. I would have suggested Dr. Ame Allen, but he is too busy and that will cost you a lot.' 'How much?' 'Too much my dear, too much.' I gulped. 'Mike please, help me save her.' I pleaded. 'There is another doctor but you will have to pay a lot of money Valería. If the operation is successful, she will remain in a coma for a long time, so her brain and system can heal. During that time, a lot of money will be consumed, are you sure you want to proceed?' 'Yes.' 'For a stranger?!' My brother, Diego exclaimed. 'We can barely feed!' 'I will pay, just do whatever you must to keep her alive.' I said, ignoring my brother. 'Follow me so you can sign the papers.' 'Diego, Armando, don't move.' I ran after him and fell inline with his steps. 'You know, I can help you reduce the money.' 'How?' 'I don't mean to be a bad friend but the cost of what you are about to sign into will drain you for everything you have got. I will advice you take the head doctor's offer of being his mistress in exchange of free medication.' I already thought about it. I would do anything to make sure she survives. I need to know what happened to her, who she is. The curiosity is killing me. 'Thank you Mike, I will certainly do that.' To be continued. Before you say I am confuse. Cookie wasn't in a coma, she kept drifting in and out of sleep but pretended to be in a coma. The two men sent to throw her body away decided to sell her. Now Valería is a new character, one who saves her. Valería is a nurse in the hospital and a burglar at night. Her stepfather, stepsister, mother and half brothers died in a car accident. The youngest brother survived along with her stepsister's son. Their names are Diego (the brother) and Armando. (The nephew) There, full stop. Remember to like and comment.
