I just slapped a Buenevista?

I’m good as dead!

“sir…I… I ” I stuttered and swallowed the lump I presumed was stuck in my throat.

“take her ” he ordered and I took on my heels before the guards could make any move.

“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry ” I yelled as the men in black suit pursued me.

They were two in number.

I ran, ran, ran till I got to a bushy area like a forest.

“aaahhh! ” I scre-med and came to an halt as I almost fell off the cliff in front of me.

Didn’t realise there was a cliff here until now.

I could just take right and head straight home but that’ll be inviting problem to my own house.

I looked back and the guards were almost onto me.

I took my left and continued running till I got to a “no escape ” area.

In front of me was a river and all around was like a forest.

I had to hide.

I walked into the river and went in deeper then held my breath and stayed there.

“where could she had gone ” I heard one of the guard say.

“let’s scour these forest for her ” the other one said and I could hear the noise they made in searching for me.

Gosh! I’m running out of oxygen.

“let’s go, it’s obvious she escaped us”one of them said.

I waited for a little longer and when I knew the coast was clear, I came up to the surface.

I p-nted softly, trying to catch my breath.

I walked out and headed home.

I paced back and forth in my room, remembering how that poor thing embarrassed me.

She humiliated me in public.

I, Rinaldo Buenevista.

She must rot in jail or worse, die!

The door to my room opened and my two guards came in and bowed.

“yes “I asked as they stood still with their head low.

“she escaped us ” one of them said.

“what” I exclaimed.

“how was that possible? You’re so incompetent ” I yelled.

“we’re sorry sir ” they blurted out.

“get out and keep looking for her. Ask people, make sure you find her and bring her to judgement “I commanded and they bowed then left.

My door flew open again and mom came in.

“son what’s wrong” she asked with concern etched all over her face.

“a low life, mother, a low life humiliated me in public and she even slapped me ” I said sternly.

“what? Doesn’t she know you’re a Buenevista ” mom asked.

I could feel the anger rip through me like bolts of electricity.

No one has ever dared to disrespect me but she did and she’ll pay dearly.

I paced back and forth in the room as mom tried to calm me, my breaths came out loud like p-nts.

“don’t worry son, we will have the guards look for her and bring her here to face the wrath of the Buenevistas “mom remarked.

“who’s gonna suffer in your hands again, mother ” a voice said behind us and we turned to see Fernando.

We ignored him and looked away.

Amongst the Buenevistas, Fernando is the only different one.

He’s too soft and emotional.

That’s why grandpa calls him a weakling.

A Buenevista has to be strong and not emotional like Fernando.

Fernando forgives a lot, overlooks people’s mistake and that’s not in our constitution.

“won’t you stop ruining our family reputation ” he asked.

Although I don’t know who that question was for.

“no one’s ruining our reputation, Rinaldo is only doing the thing. Anyone who provokes a Buenevista must face the wrath. Well done my boy” grandpa said from the door.

Didn’t realise he was there.

I smiled at grandpa and smirked at Fernando.

We stood in the room in silence as we all stared at one another.

Fernando cussed and left the room.

What a weakling!

I reached home and I was glad that mom and dad wasn’t home.

Mom would’ve chopped off my balls and that’s if I even have one.

I dried up and dressed up in a blue jean and a tank top.

I plumped down on the couch and let out a sigh.

I wanted to just help my parents out with the responsibility but I ended up ruining it.

If that idiot hadn’t being a jerk, I’d have been working by now.

I laid down on the couch to sleep but something poked my back.

I gasped when I saw it was mom’s inhaler.

Oh my God! How could she forget her inhaler?

What if she has an attack?

The thought of what could happen to her without her inhaler gave me cramps.

I have to go give it to her.

I walked out and closed the door.

I kept the key in its usual place in case dad comes back home.

I ran to the Buenevistas mansion cause I didn’t have money for a cab.

After what seems like hours and I was starting to loose strength, I arrived at the mansion.

I stopped to catch my breath as I stared at the big gate.

I gently tapped the gate and waited patiently for Dennis to open up.

Soon his head popped out and I chuckled.

“who else knocks like that when trying to sneak in apart from Tatiana ” he asked and I rolled my eyes.

“I’m not sneaking in today though, I came here for mom ” I said and went in.

Since I wasn’t sneaking in, I decided to use the front door.

If I use the back door, I’d be like a thief.

My mouth fell open as my eyes wandered everywhere.

I’ve not been to this side of the mansion before.

I stood at the porch, contemplating whether or not to go in.

The tiled floor sparked and one could see their reflection.

I was scared to take a step in so as not to stain the neat sparkling tiled floor.

It was a sitting room and it was wide.

Not a single person was in here and that was kinda freaky.

The house is too big.

I mentally slapped myself at what I just said.

It’s a mansion not an ordinary house.

I finally went in and headed to the east wing where I presumed the kitchen would be.

I saw a maid and she directed me to where mom was.

I went to the kitchen and saw mom, she was cooking.

“mom” I said and she froze for some seconds before turning to me.

“Tiana ” she whispered and came to me.

All the maids in the kitchen stared at me like I was a ghost.

I only know few of them, like aunt Dora.

“hi aunt Dora ” I waved at her and she smiled.

“what are you doing here ” mom asked.

“I brought you this ” I said and showed her the inhaler.

“oh” she breathed out.

“didn’t even realise I forgot it ” she said and I rolled my eyes.

“you’ve got to be careful mom, don’t act careless ” I scolded and the maids snickered while mom smiled.

“OK leave now ” she ordered and my facial expression dropped.

“can’t I help you out at least ” I asked.

“no you can’t ” she snapped.

I hesitated before heading out of the kitchen.

“be careful okay ” mom said and I gave her a “yeah” sign with my fingers.

I walked back to the sitting room and admired it.

I saw a golden vase and my hand itched to touch it.

I summoned courage and went over to it.

I raised my hand to touch it but froze when I heard a voice behind me.

“you ” the voice said.

The voice was so deep and filled with authority.

My heart pounded in my chest and my legs seemed glued to the tiled floor.

“who are you ” the voice asked from behind and I swallowed hærd.

I couldn’t turn to see the person’s face cause I was trembling hærd.

I tried turning but my legs wouldn’t move.

I forced my leg and turned.

I felt a force hit my chest as I met his eyes.

The house seemed to be out of oxygen as his eyes w¡dened and took in my face.

The Buenevista I slapped.

~ Tatiana ~

I seemed to be out of oxygen as I stared at him, trembling.

“you ” he said angrily.

His eyes were becoming dark and his fist was in a ball.

“guards ” he yelled and I flinched.

My heart pounded very loud in my chest.

What if mom hears the noise and comes out.

She will be scared and maybe have an attack.

Tears raced down my cheeks as I stood frozen on my s₱0t.

My legs were shaking real bad and I knew if I didn’t hold onto something for support, I’d collapse.

My vision was blur as tears streamed down.

The guards came running from every angle of the mansion.

Just when I was about to give up and collapse, I felt a strong arm wrap itself around my wa-ist.

I leaned into the persons body and finally closed my eyes cause I couldn’t handle it anymore.

My eyes slowly open as I took in the room I was.

The bed I laid on was soft that I didn’t wanna wake up.

The room smelt rich and I smiled.

My eyes wandered everywhere, admiring the room with a smile.

My eyes met with two blue eyes and I sprung up on my butt.

I trembled and moved to the edge of the bed.

It was a Buenevista, the one I sneaked into his room.

“I won’t hurt you ” he said in a calm voice but I still didn’t feel relaxed.

He’s a Buenevista.

What if he wants to rape me?

Should I scre-m?

He moved closer to me on the bed and I moved farther from him.

He raised his hand and I flinched.

His hand came in contact with my cheek and I felt something I’ve never felt before.

I felt a tingling s-nsation, like a bolts of electricity ran down my spine.

I relaxed under his touch and he smiled.

“see? I’ll never hurt you ” he said in a soft voice and I nodded.

I don’t know but I feel at ease with this Buenevista.

I looked up to his face and started taking him in.

I was too scared the day I saw him so I couldn’t look him in the face.

He had dark brown hair, blue sparkling eyes and a sharp jaw line.

His nose is pointed and his l-ips were small and pink.

So tempting.

I was almost loststaring at him until he snapped me out of it.

“so I guess you came here to see ma’am Teresa ” he asked and I nodded.

I remembered what happened and busted into tears.

“hey it’s OK ” he cooed and hugged me.

I buried my face in his chest and breathed in his manly scent.

His body was hærd and one could see the muscles bulging in his shirt.

He wrapped his hands tight around me and leaned into him.

I got down from my car just in time to hear Rinaldo scre-m “guards ”

I knew something was wrong so I hurried in.

In front of me was Tatiana.

The goddess who sneaked into my room.

I almost smiled at the sight of her not until I took in her state.

She was scared and trembling real hærd.

She felt like jelly and would collapse any moment from now.

I ran to her and wrapped my hands around her to keep her from falling.

She leaned into me and lost consciousness.

I was so furious with Rinaldo.

How could he have made her so scared?

“what the f-ck is wrong with you ” I yelled as Tatiana’s body rested in my arms.

“this is the low life that humiliated in me in public, she slapped me and I’m gonna punish her for it ” he snapped.

She slapped him? Waoh that’s a first.

At least there’s someone who stood up to Rinaldo.

“she slapped you cause you deserved it ” I snarled as our eyes bored into each others.

“you’re not gonna touch her or do anything to her ” I said in a calm tone but Rinaldo know me too well when I talk in that voice.

He watched as I carried Tatiana upstairs.

I laid her on my bed and covered her with the blanket.

She was so scared that she lost consciousness.

I felt so angry at Rinaldo for scaring her like this.

I felt like I was made to protect her and I came late.

Mins later, she slowly opened her eyes.

I smiled as she admired the room with a big smile.

She’s so cute and adorable.

Her eyes met mine and she sprung up on her butt.

She still looked scared when she saw me but I assured her that I’d never hurt her.

It’s true, I can never bring myself to hurt her.

I fell like protecting her at any chance I get.

I want to make her happy.

I held her in my arms as she sobbed quietly.

“I was just admiring the mansion ” she whispered as I car-ssed her hair.

I noticed she likes admiring everything she sees.

She even sneaked into my room to admire it and when she woke up now, she was admiring the room all over again.

“why” I asked and she pulled away.

She stared at me with those sparkling grey eyes of hers.

“why do you like admiring everything ” I asked and she stared down at her fingers.

“maybe because I’ve never seen something so beautiful before ” she said and I arched an eyebrow.

“you see, we are not the rich type so we don’t get to see beautiful things everyday. Our house isn’t decorated like this mansion so when I see things that I’ve never seen before, I want to touch it and admire it” she blurted out and I felt pity for her.

They’re poor and she just wanna see and admire things she wasn’t opportune to see and admire.

I wiped her tears with my thumb and she closed her eyes at the feel of my hand.

She feels too.

That tingling s-nsation I feel whenever my body come in contact with hers.

My heart beat faster as I stared at her.

It was getting awkward and I had to try very hærd to stop staring at her tilts.

I felt like k-ssing those l-ips of hers.

“you slapped Rinaldo ” I said, trying to start up a conversation cause I was already getting hærd just staring at her.

Her eyes studied me for a while until she took in the name of Rinaldo.

“oh ” she breathed out and looked away shyly.

“I like it” I said and her head snapped to me.

“you do ” she asked with a smile and I nodded.

I felt my heart pounding hærd in my chest as she stared at me.

I moved on my s₱0t so I could I hide my er-ction.

No one has been able to do this.

Make me hærd just from staring.

God! She’s gonna kill me.

As if she just recollected her mind, she snapped out of the trance she seemed to be having.

“what’s the time ” she asked.

“19:00” I said and her eyes w¡dened.

“I have to leave, mom and dad will be so worried ” she rushed her words.

She got down from the bed and made to run but I held her arm.

“let me take you home ” I said and she pursed her l-ips.

“I’ll explain to your parents so they won’t be upset with you ” I said and gave her a pleading face.

She sighed and nodded.

I took her hand and we head downstairs.

Mom and Rinaldo was in the sitting room.

“where are you going with that low life ” mom asked and my grip tightened around Tatiana’s hands at the mention of “low life”.

I ignored them and walked out with Tatiana.

We boarded the car and I drove off to the address she gave me.

We arrived mins later and alighted.

I held tight onto her hand to assure her that I was with her.

We walked to the porch and I searched for the doorbell.

She smiled shyly at me and knocked on the door.

I breathed out an oh when I realized they didn’t have a doorbell.

The area they even lived was rough and the house was a bungalow.

The door flew open and ma’am Teresa and her husband stood at the door with worried look.

“Tiana ” she breathe out and hugged her.

“we were so worried ” her dad said and k-ssed her hair.

“Fernando ” ma’am Teresa called when she pulled away from Tatiana.

I was ushered in and took a seat on the hærd couch.

It felt like stone under my butt.

I told them everything that happened and assure them that nothing was gonna happen to Tatiana.

They still seemed scared but I assured them.

I was not gonna let my family hurt Tatiana.

After settling the scores, I left after waving Tatiana goodbye.

I arrived at the mansion and alighted.

I went in and met everyone in the sitting room.

Dad, mom, grandpa and Rinaldo.

“what do you have with that low life ” mom asked and I rolled my eyes.

“stop calling her that, she’s my friend ” I blurted out.

“she humiliated your brother and must be punished ” mom said.

Grandpa said nothing as he stared at me with his bloody eyes.

“she won’t cause I won’t let anyone hurt her ” I remarked.

“she’ll…. ”

“silence ” grandpa cut mom off.

“she’ll be punished for humiliating a Buenevista ” grandpa remarked and I swallowed.

Grandpa is the eldest and head of the family.

No one dares defy his orders.

I looked to dad and gave him a pleading look to help me out.

I can’t bear to see Tatiana getting hurt.

“if she’s Fernando’s friend then she should be spared ” dad spoke up and everyone’s gaze darted to him.

“she’s a low life, a commoner and Fernando won’t have such friends ” mom remarked.

“I will and I already accepted her as my friend so no one would hurt her ” I blurted out.

“I support Fernando in this ” dad said.

Dad and I seem to be the different one in the family.

We seem to be the only ones with emotion.

Mom looked to grandpa for him to say something but he didn’t.

I walked up to my room and plumped down on my bed.

I can’t stop thinking of Tatiana.

I woke up from my bed and went to freshen up.

Mom and dad already left to work.

I was grounded after what happened last night.

Mom said its for my own safety and I know they’re trying to keep me from harms.

After freshening up, I settled to eat the food left for me but a knock came on the door.

The knock came hærd and louder and I cussed.

I went to get it and in front of me was a slender woman.

I’m slender too but she’s more thinner than me.

She had blonde hair, green eyes and luscious l-ips.

She stared at me with anger visible in her eyes.

OK who’s she?
