She smirked at me and entered without permission.
I folded my fist into a ball and gritted my teeth together at her act of disrespect.
I kept my cool and waited for to speak up before I throw her our like a thief.
“how low ” she seethed, her eyes wandering round the house.
“cut the game and tell me who you are and why you’re here ” I demanded and she turned to face me.
“who I am doesn’t matter, I came here to tell you to stay away from Fernando ” she said between gritted teeth.
“he’s mine and I’m not ready to share him with anyone ” she remarked and I scoffed.
“is it written on his forehead that he belongs to you ” I asked with sarcasm in my tone.

She smiled and grabbed my arm tightly.
“I’m his girlfriend and I want you to stay clear of him. For you to know, my dad is amongst the most powerful people in Manila so don’t cross your limit ” she said.
I yanked my hand off and she staggered back.
The thought of Fernando having a girlfriend slowly registered in my head.
I felt a sharp pain in my heart at the thought of that.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me but the thought of Fernando having a girlfriend is killing me from in,side.
I went to the door and opened it.
“get out ” I ordered so I wouldn’t rip off her head.
If she stays any longer, I’m afraid it’s her dead body that’ll be carried out.
I’m trying to contend my temper.
“make sure what I told you sink in that thick skull of yours ” she said and left.

I slammed the door with force and plumped down on the couch.
So he has a girlfriend and he was acting all nice.
*screw that Anna, just because he has a girlfriend doesn’t mean he can’t be nice * my subconscious said and I rolled my eyes.
“But I’ve started growing a thing for him ” I said to no one but my subconscious and that’s if it can hear.
Another knock came on the door and I stood up with my fist folded in a ball.
I’m really gonna give it to her this time.
I opened the door and was stunned to see Fernando in all his glory.
How can a human be so handsome?
My fist slowly melted as I stared straight into his blue eyes.
“hey ” he snapped his fingers in front of me.

I blinked rapidly and came back to my senses.
“what are you doing here ” I asked and he shrugged.
“just thought I should pay you a visit ” he said and I smiled.
My smile was quickly replaced with sadness when I remembered he has a girlfriend.
“what is it ” he asked.
“it’s nothing ” I said and stared down at my fingers.
He held my chin and raised my face up to look at him.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of his touch.
“tell me ” he demanded in a calm voice.
I moved aside and he came in.
He held my hand and took me to the couch.

“now tell me, what is it ” he asked and I sighed.
How foolish will I look if I tell him its because he has a girlfriend?
Probably 100%.
“spill” he said and I sighed.
“a girl came here and warned me to stay away from you cause she’s your girlfriend ” I blurted out and let out a sigh along with it.
He studied my face for quite a while until he busted out laughing.
I stared at him, puzzled at his laughter.
I was starting to get pissed cause he was laughing at me and I think he noticed it cause he stopped laughing and cupped my face.
He smiled and said the word that made my heart dance.
“I don’t have a girlfriend ” he blurted out and I couldn’t contend my smile.
“you’re lying ” I said, even though I was dying for it to be true.
“I’m not, I can never lie to you ” he said and my cheek turned crimson red.
He could never lie to me?
Awww! That’s so sweet.
“then who’s she ” I asked and he sighed.
“Melanie, my friend from college and she’s been on my neck like forever ” he blurted out with a sigh.
Oh that means that bitch isn’t his girlfriend.
She’s just a cliche bitch who wants my Fernando.
*your Fernando * my subconscious asked and I giggled.
“why are you giggling ” he asked and I pursed my l-ips.

“nothing ” I lied.
My stomach growled and I gave him an embarrassed look.
“you haven’t eaten ” he asked and I nodded “no”
“come, I’ll take you out ” he took my hand and pulled me up.
“I’m grounded ” I blurted out.
“we’ll be back before ma’am Teresa comes back ” he assured and I sighed.
“I can’t”
“please ” he begged with a puppy face and he looked cute.
“fine ” I said and he dragged me out.
We got in his car and drove to a fancy restaurant.
After eating at the fancy restaurant, he took me out to different places and I was more than happy.
I haven’t had fun like this in my wh0le life.

I’ve never been to the places he took me and that’s because my parents can’t afford it.
Being rich is cool and I’ll be, someday.
The day got dark so we drove home.
We alighted and stood at the porch.
Fernando squeezed my hand, assuring me he was here for me.
I swallowed and knocked on the door.
As usual, mom and dad came out looking like a worried freak.
I knew before they’d scold me, they’d hugged me first and that was what they did.

They pulled away and dragged me and Fernando in,side.
“start talking ” mom commanded and Fernando and I gave each other a look.
Fernando told them he was the one who came here to take me out and blah blah.
Excluding the Melanie side of course.
After everything, mom decided to esc-rt Fernando out.

I esc-rted Fernando out and when we got to his car, I stopped him.
I’ve known Fernando for quite a while now and he’s different from his family.
His father too is different.
“tell me Fernando “I demanded and he looked at me with that child face of his that he usually gives when he wants to ask food from me.
“do you have feelings for Tiana ” I asked and he was taken aback.
I knew the question was sudden but I’ve seen the way he looks at Tiana.
He looked down at his fingers and I sighed.
“you have to tell me ” I said and he slowly nodded.
“I love her ” he said in a soft voice.
My heart almost came up to my throat at his words.
A Buenevista loves a commoner?
I’m supposed to be happy but hell no, this meant trouble.
His family will never allow him to date a commoner and our life will be at risk.
I’m old enough to know about rich people.

“and what are your plans ” I asked.
“I’ll make her mine ” he said in a calm voice.
“you do know that it’s a bad idea cause Tiana is not in your league, we are not your class ” I said.
“I know but I don’t care, I love Tatiana and no one will come between us, not even my family ” he said boldly.
“you have to get over your feelings for my daughter, Tiana is naive and innocent, I can’t allow you to ruin her life ” I blurted out and I saw his eyes glistening.
He was at the verge of tears.
Seeing tears roll down his cheek made tears welled up in my eyes.
Fernando is the type of man every parent would wish for their daughter, he’s the perfect gentleman.
From the day I started working in their mansion, I saw the good in him.
I’d like him for Tiana but his family, God!
He sniffed, k-ssed my forehead and left.
He’s always treated me like a mother.
Just when I was about to turn and leave, his car revised.
“you know ma’am Teresa ” he said in an husky voice.

I could see the pain in his eyes.
He looked straight into my eyes and said the thing I never imagined he’d say.
“you are the mother I never had ” he said in a soft voice and drove off.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I thought whether or not I’ve made the right decision.
Will his family ever let them be together?
Will my Tiana be happy?
I’ll have to ask Tiana what she feels for Fernando.
I doubt if she’d even know what love means.
Tiana is just an innocent and naive girl that haven’t seen life the other way.
I wiped my tears and went in.
Tiana was on the couch, in her father’s arms.

She cuddled into his arms.
I smiled and went over to them.
I sat beside Tiana, making her be in the middle.
I smiled and car-ssed her hair.
“Tiana ” I called and she hummed.
“what do you feel for Fernando ” I asked and she smiled shyly.
She used her palms to cover her face and giggled.
Oh my daughter is in love.
“my heart beats faster whenever I’m with him, when he touches me, I feel like I’m in heaven ” she blurted out dreamily.
My husband and I gave each other a knowing look and smiled.
She giggled and cuddled into her father while I hugged her from behind.
Minutes later, we heard her soft snores.
I k-ssed her forehead and got up to my room.
Her dad will take her to bed.
My husband came back and laid on the bed beside me.
“Fernando loves her too ” I whispered and laid my head on his chest.
“then let them be “he said.
“really ”
“if they’re destined to be together, they’ll be ” he said and I nodded.

I woke up the next day, prepared breakfast and ate with my husband.
Tiana is not a morning person so we always leave notes for her.
After eating, we left to our various work.
I arrived and went up to Fernando’s room straight.
I have to take back my words.
I knocked on the door and after the fifth knock, I went in without permission.
There he laid on his bed, his face buried into his pillow.
“leave ” he ordered without looking at me.
I knew right away that he was still sulking because I asked him to stay away from Tiana.
I sighed and went to sit on the bed.
“Fernando ” I called and touched him.
His body stilled for some secs and he sprung up to his butt.
“I take back all my words ” I said and his eyes w¡dened.
“if you’re meant to be with her, you’ll be ” I said with a smile.
“thank you so much ” he said and hugged me.

I smiled and patted his back.
“hey pull away and go bath, you stink ” I teased and he pulled away immediately.
“I don’t ” he defended and I chuckled.
“just make her happy ” I said and he nodded.
“I promise “he said.
I k-ssed his forehead and left.

A knock came on the door and I went to get it.
I opened it and was immediately captured by two hefty men.
I tried to struggle but they placed a white handkerchief on my nose.
My vision became blur and I lost consciousness.
