★ CHAPTER 17&18 ★

“Vee” Diva muttered shockingly, and the gang ran past that corner immediately. They obviously didn’t notice they’re in there cos of the darkness. Diva’s Torchlight is off already.

“Bae” he muttered like he couldn’t speak, and Diva rushed to him, holding his arms.

“Vee it’s really you… Why are you…why did you…you smoked, you…

“I can explain” he told her gently, and she looked up.

Despite the darkness, she could still picture his face.

“Tell me everything” she said, and he took her hand.

He pulled her out of the corner and began taking her back to the street while the others followed behind them.

Jazzy’s eyes wouldn’t leave the hand Vee is currently holding, and Lyric noticed how hard he’s staring.

“Am I the only one thinking of what could possibly make an idol smoke in the dark like that? He looked like a demon when we saw him with the cigar earlier, so scary and dangerous” Freddy said.

“I’ve been thinking too, is he depressed?” Piper replied.

“He’s rich, handsome and preparing for debut, what could possibly make him depressed?” Lyric said.

“Can we stop talking about Vee?” Jazzy suddenly said, and they all obeyed.

They continued walking behind Vee and Diva till they got to an open space beneath a street lamp where Vee stopped at.

He faced Diva, and she began staring at him, anticipating what he has to say.

“I’m listening” she said, and he sighed.

“I smoke to kill time, it’s nothing bad” he lied, and she scoffed immediately.

“I can read you Vee, we’ve been friends for years and I’m the closest person to you, I know everything about you so you should know that lying to me is useless”

“I really smoke to kill time, nothing more to find out” he said.

“Stop lying to me!! It’s all-over your face that you’re lying so why bother try? Huh? Vee please…tell me what’s bothering you and let’s solve it together, I’ve never kept anything from you yunno? I do tell you every single thing happening to me and I expect you to return the act” She held his arms again.

“Bae…

“Please…talk to me” she held his face, and Jazzy sighed from the midst of others.

“Vee ok?” Diva persuaded again, rubbing his cheeks.

“I told you already, believe me it’s the Truth, it’s…

Diva’s hands fell from his face immediately.

“You’re gonna keep lying to me? Fine, goodnight” she said angrily and started leaving, but he rushed to pull her back.

“Bae, don’t get mad at me I’ll…

“If you’re not ready to tell me the truth, then goodnight” she took her hand from him and rushed off.

The others followed her, leaving him standing.

Throughout their years of friendship, this has never happened, Diva never gets mad at her, and now that it happened, he suddenly feels empty, so empty that tears escaped his eyes, but he quickly wiped them and squatted on his spot, burying his face in his knees.

A STUDIO**

Krystal was dancing in the circled center while Myles sat and watch, eating from a bowl of snacks.

“Watch” Krystal said, turning her @ss to whine a bit before bending down low three times with her palms on her thighs.

She twisted her waist again before standing, giving a 360 before jumping, then parting her legs to go down flat like a cat this time.

She swept up her hair, breathing heavily.

“Whoa! Cool!” Myles stood, clapping so loud without stopping.

“Water” Krystal smiled, and he quickly got her w bottle.

He opened it for her, and she drank directly from it.

“By the way, who won the Biscotti idols show?” She asked.

“You’re just asking that? Gawd! I can’t believe you” Myles replied.

“Just talk already” she rolled eyes

“Who else? H. O. T and MOONLIGHT” he said, and she fell on the couch.

“Was actually expecting that, can’t wait to debut, there’s no intergender band reigning right now but we’ll take the spotlight immediately it happens” she said, and he sighed, sitting beside her

He suddenly touched her hair, and she turned to him.

“What?”

“You had something in it” he lied, and she brushed her hair with her palms immediately.

“Why is Vee not coming by the way?” She said, and almost immediately, Vee stepped in, looking tired and forsaken.

“Vee! Are you ok?” Myles spranged up.

“Vee” Krystal stood too.

He didn’t reply, he only got a bottle of water from the freezer and opened it to drink, but he couldn’t even drink that.

He dropped it immediately and rushed out of the studio.

“Vee!” Myles and Krystal rushed after him, but he was already gone when they got out.

“What the hell is wrong with him now?” Myles said worriedly.

Krystal got her phone and began dialling his line.

GLORY VILLA**

Fave was devouring noodles when Rhapsody came in with bowed legs again, and she began laughing.

“Are you even strong? How many rounds did he go again? You’re not walking right again just like yesterday”

“Stop talking” Rhapsody replied, falling on the bed tiredly.

“I’m so tired, but I still have to practice that song against tommorow” she said.

“Don’t worry I’ll help you” Fave winked, and she closed her eyes.

“In just some weeks, you’ll become well-known, I bet it and I can’t wait!” Fave said again, standing to take her plates to the kitchen where she met Rhett eating.

“What’s going on between Vodka and Rhapsody?” He asked, dropping his chopsticks.

“Nothing out of the ordinary” she replied, and he slammed his palms on the table before standing.

“What?” She blinked as he walked to her.

He grabbed her shoulders, and her eyes widened.

“You’re still a virgin, aren’t you? You only dress like a b**ch to the club cos you’re a f**king dancer, I know you’ve not been defiled, so why pushing Rhapsody to do things?” He said, and she pushed him away immediately.

“She wants help like I said, and I’m only helping. If you’re not comfortable with it, jump off a cliff” she rolled eyes and walked out of the kitchen.

TRUE LOVE DORM**

They’re all in the living room presently.

Lyric is eating from a bowl of ice cream while Freddy and Piper ate from a bowl of popcorn.

Diva is sitting on the ground, resting her head on the table.

Jazzy is behind her, worried just like her.

“Are you still thinking about Vee?” Freddy suddenly asked.

“I believe he’d come around and open up to you when he wants to, maybe he’s not ready yet” Piper said.

“I believe that too, but I’m just curious, Vee used to hate smokes from cigars, and now he does cigars? It’s f**king disturbing” Diva replied.

“I understand how you feel eonni, but it’s still same answer, he needs time” Lyric said, looking cute with ice cream all-over her lips.

“Cutie, come here” Diva smiled, wiping her lips with her thumb which she licked immediately.

Lyric phone buzzed immediately, and her eyes widened.

“I need to use the restroom!” She quickly said, rushing off.

“Y’all don’t notice the changes in Lyric these days?” Freddy said.

“Like rushing to the restroom when she gets a call or text?” Piper replied.

“Yeah, but maybe she needs privacy for now, but I’m sure it’s a boy” Piper said, and Freddy laughed.

“Jazzy you’ve not been saying anything” Piper noticed, and he sighed.

“I’m fine”

He entered his room, and the rest retired to their rooms too including Diva who’s still thinking hard.

It didn’t take long for the rest of the girls to fall asleep, but for Diva, it was impossible.

An hour after she came in, cramps got a hold of her, and she began rolling in bed, holding her tummy so tight.

In just ten minutes, sweat covered her, and it got worse when the weather outside became cool, affecting her condition.

In less than two minutes, rain began falling, and she had to struggle out of bed and wear something thick.

She left the bedroom immediately, still holding her stomach tight as she she walked into the living room, meeting Jazzy surprisingly.

He’s sitting on the couch alone, staring into space, but he stood immediately she showed up

“Diva, are you ok?” He asked when she saw her squeezed face, her lips are turning pale too, and the sweat is still on her face.

“I’m… I’ve got cramps” she replied, and he walked to her.

“Is it bad? Does it come monthly?” He asked.

“No, it comes sometimes and wouldn’t come sometimes” she replied with difficulty as she walked to the couch and lay on it, folding her arms tightly on her tummy again.

“Ahh” she groaned, biting her lip when the pains came again.

“I’ll get you some warm water” Jazzy said and rushed to the kitchen.

He placed the needed amount of water on fire and waited for just two minutes, but just as he was about to bring it down, the pot slipped and fell from him, making all the water pour on his foot.

“F**k!” He spat, raising up the leg as it stung.

That part got red immediately and swelled up, but he had to ignore the pains and place another pot of water on fire.

He made it warm for one and a half minute this time, and he poured it in a cup to the living room.

Diva was already in tears when he arrived, and he had to help her up and wipe her tears first before making her drink some of the water.

She gulped it down and went back on the couch. It did nothing, the pains persisted, so she began crying slowly again.

Jazzy suddenly raised her hoodie from her tummy, and she looked at him with her red eyes.

“What are you doing?” She asked weakly.

“Massage helps like I heard” he said and began massaging the tummy slowly, starting from the sides of her tummy to the tummy around her bellybutton, then he started singing a lullaby.

“Fall asleep beauty, the night is falling”
“Sleep in my arms, I’ll watch you sleep”
“I promise to protect you throughout the night”
“We’ll watch the morning rise together tommorow… Fall asleep, sleeping beauty”

Diva smiled lightly when he finished.

“What was that?” She whispered.

“Dad loves singing that for my mum, I memorized it somehow” he replied as he kept massaging her tummy

“It’s soothing somehow, can you sing again?” She replied, and he began singing again, massaging along with it.

That really helped more than he expected, cos she slept off after he sang it for the fifth time.

He stopped the massage and covered her tummy, then he went in and brought a duvet to cover her with.

He was still covering her when her phone buzzed in her hoodie pocket, and he raised the duvet to take the phone.

He put on the screen to see she has several unread texts from Vee, and when he saw that she saved his name as, he stopped to stare for a while.

“My Vee?” He muttered.

He has obviously sent tons of messages, but she hasn’t replied, and she missed calls from him already.

He doesn’t know her password, he’d have checked, but he saw the preview of the message he sent just now.

• I’ll continue staying outside till you come out and talk to me…

His eyes widened immediately.

WFT! It’s raining!

He dropped the phone and went to the door immediately.

He opened it and met Vee outside for real, he’s so wet from the rain.

“What the hell!” He gasped shockingly, and Vee smiled weakly, shaking badly in the rain.

“Please tell her to come see me” he muttered.
