“You are here.” Feranmi said amidst our family and friends holding a bouquet of flowers.

“What’s going on here?” I asked as I looked around.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, the whole place was beautified and decorated.

Our department mates were also present as they all smiled and clapped their hands.

Something more gladden was my mom and his dad standing side by side.

It’s obvious they are really happy.

“You are surprised right?” He asked and held my hand.

“Of course, I am I don’t know what’s this is about.” I replied and he smiled.

“You can call it a joyful day.” He said which got me confused.

“A joyful day?” I asked.

“Yes, Tina I know it’s too soon but would it be too much if I ask you to be mine forever.” He asked and it was then I fully understood his words.

Being his forever only means his wife and of course you all know the answer.

“Yes, I wouldn’t think twice.” I replied excitedly and everyone clapped their hands.

He looked at me and smiled.

“I love you.” He said and kissed me.

“This is not a proposal right?” I asked teasingly.

“Of course it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s a proposal.” He said and we chuckled slightly.

“I love you so much, thank you for being in my life.” I said and he tucked my hair behind my ear.

“I should be the one saying that, come to think of it, a lot of things brought us together.”

“Which are?” I asked.

“First was the way we met, second the scholarship, third was the game and fourth was Seyi.” He replied which was all true.

His words reminds me of Seyi, I hope he finds true love.

“Of course Seyi we should be thankful to him, he made us realise our feelings for each other, he made me realise my cute gem that was clinging to me and that’s you.” I responded and kissed him.

“The cute gem.” I like that word he said and held my hand. “Let’s go meet the others it’s time for a celebration.” He said and I did.

For the rest of the day we had fun with friends and families and I couldn’t have been happier.

I noticed all the steps I took brought me closer to him and for that I will be happy forever.

“Are they all gone?” Tina asked as I entered my room where she had been staying.

“Yes, including your mom and my dad, they said they had some business stuffs they need to attend to.” I replied and sat close to her.

“Ok, I see.” She replied and coughed.

“Are you OK?” I asked worried.

“Am ok, it’s just that there’s something you have not done yet.” She replied and I knew where she’s heading to.

“Yes, about Abigail I discussed with my dad that he should transfer her to another school because of her troubles.” I said ignoring her words.

“Is that all?” She asked glaring at me as if she was expecting more.

“Yes.” I replied quickly.

“Ok.” She said and stood up.

“Where are you going?” I asked.

“To get myself water.” She replied and turned back to leave.

I smiled and hugged her from behind.

“Tina, let’s get married.” I said and she disengaged from the hug beating her chest. “What’s wrong?” I asked surprised.

“Is that how to propose?” She said and I got dumb struck with no words to say.

“Hun..I.. really don’t know how to do this, Tina will you be my wife.” I stuttered and she smiled.

“You really s*ck at proposals, of course I will be your wife, when I agreed to be yours forever I already decided to be your wife.” She said smiling.

“Really?” I asked.

“Yes of course.” She replied.

“Awwn…. Thank you Tina I love you.” I said and hugged her.

“I love you too.” She replied.

I slowly brought out the ring from my chest pocket and shyly wore it on her finger.

“I really can’t believe you are mine forever.” I said and hugged her tight.

“You should, because this is real, I will always be yours forever and ever.” She said and tightened the hug.

I carried her and laid her on the bed, our body collide and I kissed her on the forehead.

“I love you.” I said.

“I love you forever.” She replied.

And I will always love her.

I was just me when she walked into my life and forever she changed me.

A rich and rude boy who has come to know love.

The fresh breeze blew into the room and moved my covers rousing me from sleep.

Feranmi lay beside me sleeping so soundly, I touched his eyebrows down to his face.

He’s so handsome and cool, I can’t believe he actually proposed to me yesterday.

I got off the bed and went downstairs to get myself a cup of water.

Some thing seems weird though, my mom and his dad I wonder why they would leave us alone at home seems like they actually wanted this.

I took a glass cup and was about to get myself a cup of water when I felt a touch on my body.

“Morning, Baby.” He greeted and took my left earlobe into his mouth, I breathe in heavily as my body responded to his touch.

“Morning.” I replied and turned back to him.

“How was your night?” He asked and caressed my hair.

“It was wonderful and yours?”

“It was great.” He replied as he trailed his hands under my clothe going for my undies.

I smiled at him knowing where the show is going to.

“What are you trying to do?” I asked tauntingly.

“Anything that comes to your mind.” He replied and bit my lower lip.

He grabbed my butt which made me squeal in ecstasy.

“Feranmi, I seriously need to go it’s almost 9 and I have class by 10.” I stopped remembering that am getting late for class.

“Ohh… That’s right should I drive you home?” He asked still holding me close.

“No you will get late too, you should prepare for class too.” I replied and moved away from him.

I kissed him softly on the lips and before he could utter a word I scurry outta his place.

I hailed a cab back home and got dressed for class.

In my jean trouser and my Turtle neck shirt and a pair of boots.

I reached for my doorknob and opened the door which reveals Seyi’s face.

I was surprised at first because I wasn’t expecting him.

What would he be doing here.

“Hi Tina.” He greeted with a smile.

“Hello seyi.” I said and moved back.

“Won’t you invite me in?” He asked politely.

“Oh sorry pardon my manners, come in.” I invited him in and he did.

“You look pretty you always do.” He said complimenting me.

“Thank you.” I replied and offered him a sit. “Would you like a drink?” I suggested.

“No am not here for that, I just want to tell you something so important.” He said which got me curious.

“What would that be?” I asked nervously.

“I saw your video yesterday, I mean the celebration party you held at Feranmi’s place.” He said kinda displeased.

Guess he saw the video since it was uploaded to the departmental group chat.

“What about it?” I asked.

“It made me realize some things, what you told me days before also got me thinking, some things just can’t be forced.” He said and paused for a while.

“I realized that you were never meant to be mine and am sorry for everything I did to you back then, but I just need you to know that I sincerely loved you and I can’t stand seeing you with another guy, and I will be travelling out of the country soon to further my education there.” He said which surprised me.

“You really don’t have to seyi, you don’t.” I replied in a convincing tone.

“Have made my choice already I will be out of the country in a months’ time.” He replied and stood up.

He moved a bit closer to me and hugged me.

“I love you Tina, and am sorry I played your heart, am sorry I made you experience difficulties, but just like I said I don’t wish you a happy relationship with him because I will always want you back.” He said and disengaged from the hug.

Truth be told I really pity him.

I looked at his face and it was all teary, have never seen him cry.

“It’s alright, thanks.” I said and he smiled. “You are my friend and will always be.” I added.

“Bye, Tina.” He said with a wave.

“Bye.” I replied and he left.

It really hurts to love and not be loved in return I know and feel his pain.

*2 weeks later*

👱🏾‍♂️Feranmi’s pov👱🏾‍

I was in my room playing game when I heard the doorbell rang, I rushed to it thinking it was Tina but it wasn’t.

“Bolu?” I called surprised to see her.

“Hi feranmi.” She said and I invited her in.

“I wasn’t expecting to see you, I thought you left the country already.” I said as she sat on the chair.

“Yes I just decided to pay you a visit before I leave, my flight is actually by 10 tonight.” She replied.

“So why are you here?” I asked eager for her reply.

“I just decided to see you one last time, and am grateful to you in some ways, you having a girlfriend I mean. I was never in support of the marriage, I’m glad you found love.” She said and I smiled.

“Guess we both should be grateful.” She replied which got a laugh between us. “I should go and I wish you luck with her, treat her good she deserves the best.” She added and stood up.

Those very words of hers’ got me thinking on how to treat Tina well.

I gaze into space trying to think of something when an idea bulged into my mind.

Of course, time for a show.

I rushed and picked my phone to call Tina telling her to dress up.

I took a quick bath and got dressed in my designer stripped brown shirt and my khaki pants.

I teamed it up with my expensive leather sneakers and leather jacket which makes me look cool.

Tina deserves the best.

I picked my car keys and drove out of the compound straight to Tina’s place.

I arrived at her place she was already dressed in a short blue gown with white heels which makes her dazzle.

“You look beautiful.” I said and she giggled.

“Thanks, you look good too.” She responded.

“Shall we.” I asked and she nodded in agreement.

We got into the car and drove to Lagos bar beach.

“Why are we here?” She asked as the breeze blew through her hair.

“To have a nice time with you.” I said and hugged her as we faced the oceans’ direction with no shoes on.

“Hmm…. It really feels nice being with you on a beach.” She replied drawing an invincible line across my hand.

“Bolu came to my place today and she’s leaving the country today.” I said patting her hair.

“Really? Am really thankful to her she’s part of what makes this work.” She replied smiling.

I bring out a necklace unknowingly to her and wore it across her neck.

“What’s this?” She asked touching it.

“It’s a necklace I bought for you a week ago, do you like it.” I asked.

“I love it.” She replied and kissed me on the lips.

“How about we continue this at home.” I said referring to the kiss.

“What are you talking about?” She asked playing ignorant.

“I mean the k..” she stopped me with a kiss.

“Of course.” she replied as we drove back to her house and before we knew anything we are on each other kissing each other passionately, we slammed her door shut and she pushed me down on the bed.

She got on me and kissed me down to my neck.

I turned her on the bed and stared into her eyes affectionately.

“Tina, I love you forever.” I said and she smiled.

“I love you more.” She replied.

I love her now, and forever.

We found love right where we are, two different people in different worlds who has came to know love.

With her I see something to believe in even during the ups and downs we will always be together.

Our love will forever blossom.
