Chapter 61

{Brandon’s House}
Alicia’s Room
Natalie slowly opens the door. Peeping through the small opening, she sees no one in the room.
“She must be in the bathroom by now…!” Natalie says to herself.
Entering completely out inside the room, she heads straight to Alicia’s dressing table.
“It has to be now or never! Her birthday is five days from now and…”
She picked up Alicia’s comb and pulls out strands of her hair. She gently puts it in a transparent polyester and sealed it.
“What are you doing at my dressing table?” Alicia asks, walking out of the bathroom. She is wearing a bathrobe and a fuzzy slippers on her feet.
“Uhm… I… I… was just going through your makeup collection to see if you need any change…” Natalie stammers.
“Nah… I don’t need any change right now and if I need… It wouldn’t be from you!!”
Alicia sighs and walks over to the dressing table. She stares at the table and then looks at Natalie with a squinted glare.
“And what are you doing with my strands of hair?” She lashed out, pointing at Natalie’s hand.
Natalie gasps and then smiled looking at her.
“Well… You caught me… I’m with your hair perhaps going for a DNA test younno…?”
Alicia widens her eyes staring at Natalie who smiles, rolling her eyes.
“Give me back my hair!!” She almost screams.
“And why do you think I would… Uh?”
“Give me back my hair!”
Natalie chuckles, “If you are really sir Brandon’s lost but found daughter… You wouldn’t be scared of a mere DNA test… Or are you hiding something?” Natalie asks with a sly smile.
Alicia glared at her without uttering a word.
“Short of words?” Natalie asks nodding her head. She walks over to Alicia, placing her hand on her shoulder.
“Deep down inside you… I can feel your heart beat race faster… You don’t wanna get caught right? Hmm… Calm down… Do not let your blood pressure have a rise darling!” She said looking straight into Alicia’s eyes.
She removes her hand from Alicia’s shoulder and smiles, swinging the polyester at her face.
“Ohh… But nevertheless… your father calls for you downstairs… Okay?”
Natalie walks over to the door and opens it.
“So see you later dearie” she uttered blowing kisses in the air.
Alicia sits down besides her dressing table. She sighs, palming her forehead.
“Oh my!! Natalie is going to get the DNA results sooner or later… And my birthday too is coming up… What am I going to do now?”
She tries thinking but at that moment, her head was blank.

{Evergreen Laboratory}
“This are the requirements you asked for…”
She says handing out to them some certain things which they collected.
“How long will it take for the DNA results to be out?” She asks hoping it would be before the birthday party.
“3-4 business days ma’am”.
Natalie heaves a sigh of relief as Alicia’s birthday was five days away.
“Please I need you all to be quick and the results should be neat and accurate… I need it as an emergency!”

{Jocelyn Grocery Store}
Roseanna pays for the food items she had just bought as it was her turn to handle the kitchen.
The weather has already gone dark as rain was about to pour.
“Oh no… I need to get home before the rain starts!!” She said hurrying to get a taxi.
She flags down random cars but maybe due to the bad weather, they wouldn’t stop as the cars zoomed in high speed wanting to arrive at their destination before the rain starts.
And then the rain started it down pour, making her to find a nearby shade to avoid the rain splashing on her.
She looks out and sees a lady standing under the rain holding a feminine doll.
“What is she doing there under the rain?” She thought to herself.
Walking over to where the lady was, she held her by the hand.
“Ma’am, it’s raining heavily and you’re outside… You might catch a cold!”
“No!… I want to see my daughter… She is under the rain too…” The lady lamented.
” Your daughter?”
“Yes!” The lady said dad showing Roseanna the doll she was holding.
“But you are holding her, she is with you!” Roseanna said softly, she was emotional seeing the lady kind of mentally off balanced.
The lady smiles, hugging the doll tightly, “I miss you… I miss my daughter…”
“Can I hold your daughter?” Roseanna said stretching her hand to carry the doll.
“No! You would hurt her!!” The lady said moving the doll away from her.
“You are letting the rain beat your daughter… How would you feel if she caught a cold?” Roseanna said hoping that the lady would leave the rain.
Sniffing, the lady hugs her doll. She looks at Roseanna who stretched out her hand. She accepted as Roseanna moves her to the shade where she had been.
Roseanna looks at the lady who played with her doll as tears pools around the corner of her eyes. She felt sorry for her.
The lady looks at Roseanna and seeing she meant no harm, gladly gives Roseanna the doll.
“She is beautiful just like you!” Roseanna complimented holding the doll.
“Yes! And I want to see her again… The last time I saw her was before the plane crash… and now I know nothing about her… I don’t know where she is… I just hope she is okay!!”
Roseanna looks at the lady in surprise and shock and gives her back her doll.
“Plane crash??”

Chapter 62

Continuation from the last chapter;
“Plane crash?” Roseanna asks in surprise.
” Yes, it all happened eighteen years ago… This.. ” she said raising the doll up to Roseanna,
“Is my daughter’s doll… That was the only last thing… I could hold for her… My husband thought I was crazy because of the way I took care of it like my daughter… He had to take me to the psychiatry…!” She said with tears dropping down her cheeks.
Roseanna breathes in deeply.
“You know what…? I also had a plane crash incident but unfortunately I can’t remember anything… I could only remember my age… and I was five years then…” Roseanna said trying to soothe her but she cries the more.
“I couldn’t bear it anymore… Treating someone like a lunatic when she is not!! I had to run away…”
Roseanna hugs her despite not being washed up.
“It’s okay… It’s enough… Stop crying!!” Roseanna said soothingly.
Roseanna too cries as she feels emotional with the lady. She releases herself and looks at her, holding her hand.
“Can I… Can I call you… Mother…?”
The lady sniffs not replying her while she his her doll so tightly.
“Uhm… There is no problem…if you don’t…”
” No-no… You… You can call me mother… You’re the only one who had come close to me all this while and even requesting to call me mother… Why would I refuse?” The lady said smiling, still with tears in her eyes.
“Mother!!” Roseanna uttered hugging her so tightly.

{Brandon’s House}
Alicia’s Room
Alicia paces around her room with her hands folded. Her heart was beating fast as she was in deep thought.
“What am I going to do now? Natalie came back wearing a smile like she had something to reveal and it’s gonna be against me! Now she is in the sitting room with father”
She walks over to her bed and sits down, palming her forehead.
“What am I supposed to do now?”

Sitting Room
” Brandon…” Natalie calls out, walking over to him.
Brandon is busy preparing for his daughter’s birthday party that he didn’t notice his sister.
“Brandon!” She said standing in his front.
” Please listen to me… It is really important!!” She almost yells frustrated by her brother’s behavior.
“Natalie… I am very busy… I promise you once I’m done with everything… I will solely listen to you… But right now…”
“But It’s more important than…”
Then a call came through Brandon’s phone, interrupting her.
“Hello… Okay I’ll be right there!” Brandon says walking away.
” Talk to you later!!”
“Brandon!!”
Natalie sighs rolling her eyeballs, she palms her forehead.
“Why can’t he just calm down and listen to me??”

Roseanna’s Room
Roseanna who had just fed little Kiara and had put her to bed since she was already asleep.
She smiled at her daughter with tears forming around the corner of her eyes.
She tried to stand up but held her head in pain.
“Ahhh…” Making her fall back to the bed.

Flashes
“Daddy…! I have this specially for you!!” Little Camilla said smiling giving her father the drawing.
“Ohh… Really?” Brandon says taking the drawing from her.
“Now tell me what you mean by this drawing?” He asks.
Camilla takes the drawing from his hand and looks at him.
“This is you… This mummy and this is I… Little Camilla!!” She said grinning widely as she points at the matchstick drawing respectively.

Reality
Roseanna held her head tightly as past memories flashes, streaming down her brain.
“Father!!”

Flashes
“Com’on Camilla… We are getting late for our flight… Come out of your hiding place!! I’m not playing hide and seek with you!!” Andrea, Camilla’s mom calls out to her daughter who is hiding behind her bed.
“Ta-da!!” Camilla says showing up from her bed covering her eyes. ”
You couldn’t find me!!”
Andrea sighs as she turns to where her daughter was. She smiles walking over to where her daughter.
“You hid well enough… Now let’s leave!!” Andrea said stretching out her hand for Camilla to hold but instead the little girl runs out of her room.
“Camilla!!” Andrea yells running after her.

‘Cont’d
“Bye! See you soon Camilla… I love you!!” Natalie says waving at Camilla who climbed up the plane with her parents.
“Bye aunty Natalie… See you soon too!” Camilla says as she throws kisses in the air which Natalie playfully caught and places it on her cheek.

Back to Reality
“Aunt Natalie!!!” Roseanna screamed as she rolls out of her bed to the floor.

Natalie hears Roseanna scream her name, her heart raced thinking something was wrong.
She dashes off to her room in confusion.
“Roseanna!!” She calls out as she opens Roseanna’s room.
Roseanna sighs as she sat up to her bed level and turns to Natalie.
“Are you okay… What happened?” She asks startled as she lowers herself to Roseanna’s level, sitting on the floor.
“Aunt Natalie…”
“Yes… You made me worried… What is the problem?” Natalie asks placing her hand on Roseanna’s chin.
“Where is father?”
“He went out… Any problem?” She asks with her eyebrows furrowed.
“Aunt Natalie…”
“This is the third time you’re calling my name… Are you okay?” Natalie questions deeply concerned.
“Aunt Natalie… I th…ink… I think…” Roseanna stammers with her head lowered.
“What is it?”
“I think I remember everything now!” Roseanna finaly lets out, pinching her fingers.
Natalie squint her eyes, dropping her hand from Roseanna’s chin.
” I remember everything… I mean… I’m Camilla… Sir Brandon’s daughter!!” Roseanna said looking at Natalie.
“What?? ”
