COMPLECATED ABORMINATION EPISODE 7.

Agbele nicked name her son Idoko meaning a male child that was born when his father went for hunting or farming. When Agbele gave birth, late Papa Emeka that Agbele took as her father when her parents sent her away was not around, he went for hunting. The boy was just an headache, sometimes he would not allow Agbele to go out. He would just be crying, he doesn’t want to stay with his grandma and things was getting tougher and h-rder for them everyday.

The money Agbele make from the water she fetch for people couldn’t reach anywhere. Most times it was garri soup and eba they would continue eating for weeks. The #100 naira or #150 naira Agbele make can only buy some milk cups of garri. Baba Unubi and Mama Ummy that use to help them, things too was hærd for them. Baba Unubi wife had an appendix. His wife was still in the hospital, no money to discharged her. Mama Ummy too, her husband was broke down by stroke. Everything was just compounded. Agbele look front no one to help them, she looked back no hope from anywhere.

She started following people to do farm labourer work. They were paying them #300 naira per day. Agbele son Idoko became tiny like hausa rope as a result of not feeding well. Even the trekking alone to that farm everyday couple with the baby at her back completely changed Agbele to an old woman. Sometimes tears would just be raining down from her eyes. The sufferness was much. After like 7 months Agbele mom was fully recovered.

The native doctor told them to pay 15k for everything bcoz he saw the way they were struggling to survived. Normal they were supposed to pay 60k but the Man pity them. The 15k was like millions to Agbele and her mummy. The place Agbele sat down, she couldn’t raised her head up. Tears was just flowing down. She don’t even know what to do again. The total money with her was 6k. Before she could save the 6k. She took her like 5months. Agbele came back to their own village.

Her Daddy old bicycle and some of her mummy properties, Agbele sold everything at least to complete for the money the native doctor requested for. Agbele sold those things 4k. They have to begged the man to accept the 10k from them. The man pity them and accepted the 10k from them. The village was very far from their village, not even 1 Kobo on them again. No option than to trek home. The hunger alone was another thing.

It was river water Agbele fetch in a small container that they drank till they got home. Even when they got home, nothing to eat. Agbele rally round, begging for food. One woman gave her raw rice, garri, and some ingredients to use in cooking the rice. The woman even gave her#500 naira join. Agbele was just thanking the woman. From the money, Agbele bought pap #50 naira for her baby.

The remaining change is what Agbele used to start orange business. It was the orange business they were managing to feed. From Orange business to cooked groundnut business. From the little gain Agbele make, she gave her mom #700 to start vegetable business. Agbele don’t even remember anything school again. Agbele that was intelligent with bright future became a groundnut seller.

From the groundnut business, Agbele also started selling banana. That was the business she was doing to take care of her family. Things started moving well with them small. Agbele couldn’t afford to take her son to school. As the boy reached 6years Agbele took him to learn a fashion design.

Idoko now was disturbing his mother that he want to see his Daddy.

Agbele was just struggling everyday to make sure she take care of her son Idoko. The boy don’t even allow Agbele to rest. He was eager to see his Daddy. Agbele lied to him and told him his father died in a ghastly accident. The boy was convinced, he cried and cried. Things was moving fine with them small.

Agbele tripple her hustling. She started selling different kinds of fruits. Within that period alone Agbele was able to saved 30k. The 30k was like millions to her. She was so happy. All of a sudden, Idoko started having stomach pains. The boy couldn’t bear the pains. They rushed him to the hospital before the doctor confirmed it was an appendix.

The doctor discovered it was some food the boy ate when he was small that resulted to appendix. When Papa emeka died that things was hærd for Agbele, she was just feeding the boy anything. The doctor demanded for 100k deposit before operation and 190k for everything. Agbele don’t even know what to do again, where to borrow money from.

Her mom gave her 5k, the money she saved since she started her vegetable business. The 30k Agbele saved couldn’t reached anything. Agbele sold everything they have at home including their mattress to those hausa scavenger,yet the money couldn’t reached anywhere. Agbele also sold her Daddy house to complete the money. Even the house was just like they sells only the land. It was a mud house.

It was Mama Ummy that later gave them a room to stay. Agbele and her mummy was back to square zero. All Agbele plans to expand her business was in vain. After everything, it was 2k that was left with them. It was the 2k Agbele used to start her business back.After some years Idoko is now a big boy but his stubbornness was much but he was able to complete his fashion design that he started learning when he was 6years old.

The work took him 9 years before he was able to complete and get his own small shop. One fateful day, Idoko came back from shop and went to his mother angrily. Mummy u lied to me. Idoko please calm down, wt happened? Mummy u told me my Daddy was no more but someone insulted me today, calling me a bastard. Idoko don’t mind the person jare. Mummy am serious, I even fought with the guy, i almost injured him. It was even his father who later explained everything to me. He told me you don’t even know the person who impregnated you.

Idoko am sorry, Wt happened to me was so terrible, even if explain u won’t believe me. Sharap there mummy, u are not ashamed of yourself. Is that why u lied to me? Idoko I said am sorry for lying to u all these years. Mummy I can never be a bastard. U must tell me where my daddy is now I mean now. Idoko is not possible, I don’t even know him. Why can’t you know him mummy, when u open ur legs for him, don’t u see or look at his face? Idoko I was raped.

It shall never be well with that man. Agbele don’t even know when tears started dropping from her eyes. Mummy don’t even try to insult my daddy again. Idoko u are talking to me, ur mother. Do you know what I went through because of you? Do you know I lost everything bcoz of u? Mummy I don’t want to know anything, Wt concerned my daddy with everything u lost.pls leave my Daddy alone.Agbele couldn’t stop crying. Throughout that day ,Idoko did not come back home.

The next day Idoko just came,Started beating his mother that Agbele must show him his father today. Agbele mom wanted so say something. Idoko pushed her away. Agbele just managed tell him to go and look for his father in Anambra state. Idoko sold the sewing machine Agbele suffered to buy for him. He just sell it anyhow, picked his bag and traveled to Anambra state to search for his father. In life,everything happened for a reason. Immediately Idoko left the village. Faith Agbele best friend came back to the village after so many years.

She was surprised to see her childhood friend in that condition. Faith was just, crying , begging Agbele to forgive her for everything that she don’t even remember she knows anyone called Agbele again. Faith was married to a billionaire in the city. After everything faith took Agbele and her mother to the city. Do u believe all these years, Idoko was the obstacle? even right from the time Agbele was pregnant. As the boy left ,the door just opened.
