I glanced towards Kayla and Gerald as we flew in silence to KOV….
I smile as I remember the k-ss yesterday… I hadn’t intended to k-ss her but nevertheless I’m glad it happened and I slept cuddling her….
“why are you smiling sheepishly???”Gerald asked me….
“its nothing!!!”I said coughing out….
I looked at Kayla who’s stealing glances at me and tried to focus my mind on the task ahead….
Its almost nightfall and I can already sight the outline of the palace “we have got to be careful now!!”I said while they both nodded…..
“lets pass through the east door…..first things first,we have got to go to the dungeons to release my mother and the others!,!”I told then as I lead them to the east entrance of the palace.
..I know the guards will be weak there cause my father doesn’t want guards anywhere near the dungeon ..he doesn’t want to be betrayed and yet he betrayed my mother and locked her up…..
“here!!!!”I said dropping on the ground in front of the entrance to the door…
Gerald landed beside me followed by Kayla “no guards here???”Gerald asked looking straight ahead for any danger
“yes !!!no guards,he doesn’t trust anyone so he makes sure he’s the only one that can gain entrance here”I replied opening the door “ don’t worry we are on the same side Gera….I won’t do anything to hurt you… I may be my father’s son but I’m different”I quickly added when he’s giving me a look besides I can’t tell him of my intentions for Kayla…at least not yet…
He nodded and Kayla follower me in before he did so making Kayla sandwich between us with him at the back and I at the front….
We walked in silence until we got to the first door …I stopped signalling for them to stop too “we need Kayla to open this!!”I said pointing to the place where Kayla has to place her hands….
“why me???”Kayla asked…
“well I said earlier that he made sure this place can’t be breached by anyone well that’s cause he sealed the dungeon with the Aquiyas powers and Chamans own and he has the blood of both running in him so he’s the only one that has access here”I explained…
“but how is he able to have both powers??” She asked.
“well that’s because once an Aquiya and a Chaman tie the knot, it is possible for the Aquiya to transfer from her power to him if she chose to and I know in Lucio’s case he took it by force”Gerald explained…
“yes that’s true but my mother would never transfer her powers to him so he took her maid and forcefully transferred it to himself afterwards he killed the maid”I further explained…..
Kayla nodded and gingerly place her palm in the s₱0t….it radiates blue and the door clicked open ..
She removed her hands and we opened the door going in… We walked further into the dungeon and we got to the second door “would you like to do the honours???”I asked turning to Gerald…
He smiled simply and walked over to the door …he placed his hands in the s₱0t and it radiates a fire like colour before the door clicked open…
We stepped in and I could see my mother tied in chains with the other Aquiyas… I rushed over to her and hugged her even in her tattered clothes ,she still look as beautiful…
I tried to release her chains but couldn’t,it was stuck “let her do it!!”Mom said staring at Kayla who stood transfixed by the door…
I made way for Kayla and she moved closer to Mom…immediately she touched the chains,something unexpected happened… the chains loosened itself

I stood transfixed at the door as I came face to face with the woman in my dream….
Even through her wretched look and dirty clothes, she still look as beautiful as my dreams….
I was too stunned to move ,I just stayed at the door staring in wonder…. I’m sure my mouth must be opened in surprise then I heard her turn to me “let her do it!!”was all she said staring at me…
Rick moved away giving me room to move closer to her… I can see it in his eyes that she really meant the world to him…
I moved towards her and immediately I touched her chains,it fell off her hands ..I stared at it on surprise…looking up to her while she just smiled
“don’t be scared child its bound to happen”she said smiling….
“how Mother????”Rick asked… I guess he’s as surprised as I am…
She chuckled going to the other women “its part of the Aquiyas powers ,that’s why Lucio didn’t chain us together because he knows that if we can touch each other,then we’ll be released”she explained touching others bounds and they also came loose like hers…

There were up to fifty women there and we released them all ..then she turned to me “we have been waiting for you for so long Kay!!!..you came just at the right time!!!”she said holding my shoulders “thank you!!!”she added hugging me suddenly…
She drew me out of the hug and we walked towards Father… She putting her hands on my shoulder as we moved towards Father who was smiling sheepishly…
“My Queen!!!”he said bowing…
“Gerald !!!!old friend”she replied smiling and hugging father “really miss you!!!”she added…
Father smiled and we all left the dungeon ….I don’t even know where we are going not until Rick spoke up….
“Mother!!!we need to hide,…we can’t be seen”he said…
“off course Son …we surely can’t be seen that’s why we are going to a place Lucio can’t think we’ll be !!”she replied leading us farther away from the palace…

We arrived at a place that looks like a palace.. Its huge with designs of Aquiyas like me …Even though its dark in here I can still make out the paintings and writings on the wall….
“we are going to rest here and tomorrow we will go to war!!!”the woman said addressing us all…“come with me Kayla!!!”she said as she took me to another room….
We stepped into the room I assumed to be hers as she touch all the figurines in the room probably reminiscing the old days..
“you know when I was young, I never thought everything will be taken away from me… My life, my peoples life and I also lost the chance to be with Ruck just like they lost the chance to be with theirs …
The news of a prophecy got us living… Lucio will come to the dungeon to taunt us….taunt me …he would promise to kill you and make sure you never get to us but thank the heavens you’re here now and we are going to win this war together!!!”she said turning to me as she faced me “thank you for coming for us Kay!!!”she said smiling…
Looking into her eyes,I could see that Ruck has her eyes ….I nodded for lack of words…
“why don’t you go now, someone is waiting to see you”she said winking which made me blush…
“no he’ll probably be waiting to see his Mother!!!”I retorted….
“Oh!,,yes I know that but I can best my tiara that he’s actually waiting for you outside this door… So tell him I’ll see him later!!”she said ushering me out of the room….
And true to her words, Rick was actually at the door… He stared at me smiling a“been waiting for you!!”he said….
I smiled shyly“so she says!!!”I said…
“how’s she???”he asked looking at the closed door..
“tired!!!”I simply replied while he just nodded leading the way…
“let’s go eat!!””he said holding my hands as he led me away to join the others….
I watched them as they share the meal amongst themselves all of them according me respect… I wonder where they got the sumptuous meal from and I don’t feel like asking…. I just wanna eat and maybe get some sleep while at it
With Ruck by my side and Father,we settled down to eat “i have something to tell you after the war!!!”Rick whispered into my ears…
“what’s that??”I asked curious….
He smiled ,his white set of teeth showing “after the war dear Aquiya!!”he replied after stating into my eyes for sometimes..
Immediately the queen stepped into the room,everyone stopped doing whatever and bowed
“let’s eat !!!”she shouted ,her voice ringing out across the room…
“To the queen!!!”one of them shouted…
“To the queen !!!!!!”we all chorused after her….
And I felt at peace with the people and off course Rick beside me
