I went home and pressed the door bell. Dad opened as I walked in, I was really tired and exhausted. I fell on the chair and sighed.
ā Liyah are you alright?ā Dad asked.
ā Definitely Iām not fineā I replied.
ā I hope itās not about a boyā He said
I Looked at him and frowned.
ā Of course noā I replied at once.
ā It better not be. You should always remember the 7 Bās.ā He said
ā Yeah, BOOKS BEFORE BOYS BECAUSE BOYS BRING BABIESā I said mimicking.
ā Thatās nice. Iām glad you rememberedā He said.
ā Youāve been repeating that phrase since I was 14ā³ I said.

ā Get pregnant and dropped out of college.ā I said.

Dad hates the idea of me getting a boyfriend. He wants a husband and not a boyfriend. I shower and then came downstairs, dad was more than a mom. He already prepared lunch. We sit down together as we ate in silence.
ā Liyah, Iām planning on getting a wifeā He said. I stopped eating and looked at him.
ā A girlfriend, and then get married to her?ā I asked.
ā Yeah,is that a wrong idea?ā He asked.

I was at the hall with violet. I open my locker picking my stuffs. Violet was smiling endlessly at her phone.

ā What are you smiling at?ā I asked.
ā Ace is texting meā She said giggling.
ā What!ā I chorused and hissed at her.
ā You keep acting like some one whoās been dumped several timesā Violet added.
ā My dad needs a girlfriendā I said ignoring Violetās compliment . Violet smiled.

ā Whatās cool?ā I asked.

ā Whatās not right, the fact that your dad wants to get married again or the fact that you want him to be single just like youā Violet said. I frowned at her.
ā Okay, I think itās a wrong idea telling youā I said.
ā Ace wants me to watch him play at the fieldā Violet said.
ā Again?ā I asked.
ā What, you gotta come with meā She added.
ā No way, I canāt. Ace is Jaydenās bestieā I said.
ā I donāt see reasons youāre falling for a bad nerdā I said.
ā Look the fact that Jay is a bad ass doesnāt make Ace a bad ass too.ā She lectured.
ā Yeah, I know. Just be carefulā I said.
ā Will you come?ā She asked smiling.
I nodded at once.
Yeah we went to the field only to see Jay playing too. Violet was just cheering Ace up ,Ace always return a smile and a wink. Ace was cool, I kinda liked him cause he was free. Nicki was present. She was also cheering her boyfriend. Jayden didnāt return a smile, he frowned and turned to look at me. The stare didnāt last a second cause it expired.
ā Goal!!ā Jay and CO scre-med.
They just scored a goal.
I smiled faintly, I was tired. Damian walked to me. He was one horrible student with stand by glasses. Always professing love to me. I frowned and looked at him. I knew what he was here for.
ā Hey liyahā He called.
Violet winked at me as she giggled.
ā What? Damian look Iām not interested in you. I donāt love you stop pestering meā I said.
ā Liyah youāre hurting meā he said giving me a baby face.
ā Woah, you look ugly when you do thatā I said as I grinned.

He hurriedly stormed out.
Nicki and her dare devils burst out laughing loudly.

I frowned and refused to say a word.
ā Well, I think she hates youā Violet said.
ā Who even caresā I said.
ā Who give a f-ck about her.ā I said as I turned to leave. Violet hugged me and went to meet Ace. She was really addicted.
I sighed and walked to class.
Later that evening, school was throwing a party at THE sā±0t. It was the best selling clubs in NY. And VIPs owned that club. I got prepared as violet helped me with my dress . It was her idea we stormed the party since Ace was coming. I wasnāt cool with the idea. We got dressed and walked to the living room to leave when dad saw us. Of course he went wild.
ā Aaliyah, where to?ā He asked looking at both of us.
ā Oh, prom danceā I replied.
ā Prom dance?ā Dad asked.
ā Yeah. College is throwing a prom dance in school tonight and all our school mates will be thereā I explained.
ā Vi?ā He called looking at violet.
ā Yes, Aaliyah is right. We are all invitedā she added.
ā I hope itās not about a boy?ā He asked looking at us . He was being too insecure.
ā Dad itās just a prom danceā I said as I hugged him.
ā Iāll be fineā I said.
ā Alright be careful but be home before 10ā³ He said and I nodded.
ā Thanks Dadā I Said as we left.
ā Now I know why you donāt wanna date. Your dad Is scaredā violet said on our way to THE sā±0t.
ā Vi, thatās not the reason. I can date if I want to. Iām not in high school. Vi this is college. I havenāt find Mr Rightā I said and vi laughed.
ā Keep searching.ā She said and i shake my head.

We walked into THE sā±0t as the gate guard stopped us.
ā Youāre not VIPsā He said looking at violet and I
ā You didnāt tell me that prom dance was all about being a VIPā I said looking at violet.
ā I have no idea. They have changed everythingā She whispered .
ā Please. The sā±0tās prom dance is meant for VIPs. You donāt look like one, you look like peasantsā he said. I felt embarrassed.
ā What! Seriously the shit I hate most is racism and favouritism. This is college and everyone has every right to be any whereā I yelled.
ā Yeah youāre right but not THE sā±0t. Please leaveā He said.
ā No way, we aināt going anywhereā I said.

ā I think you gotta call your so called Aceā I said looking at violet who made me come out.

ā Oh shut upā I said. I was really stressed out. I couldnāt believe I came out just for waste. I turned to talk to the guard when Jayden Walked out making a phone call.
He stood at a corner talking endlessly, I was busy quarrelling with with the guard non stop. I was really offended.
ā Fred whatās going on?ā Jayden asked walking to where we were standing.
ā Donāt mind this peasants trying to pave way into the sā±0tā He said, I got paranoid at once.
ā Iām not a peasant bitch. Seriously you think itās by bragging about your income that makes you a big name in school. F-ck off, if you were better you wonāt be standing here guarding this place for college studentsā I said. He was touched cause he was raving.
ā Liyah, calm downā Jay said. I turned to look at him. I didnāt tell the ass h0le my name.

I looked at him and continued.

ā Iām sorry, she is just paranoidā Violet said trying to apologise.

She ran to where I was as she took a deep breath .
ā You shouldnāt go wild, it wasnāt necessaryā She said .
ā Tonightās is supposed to be prom night. And where was it written that prom night is for VIP students alone. For student who drive porche, Lamborghini and other fancy cars, f-ckā I said
ā Aaliyah, it isnāt necessary. Jay was trying to help and you just blow it loud on him. Itās not fair, letās go backā Violet said. I sighed and look at her .
ā Iām fine, I donāt wanna go back. Iām going to puke in thereā I said.
ā You dare not stay back, letās goā She said as she wanted to hold my hands.
ā No, we are peasantsā I said . Violet frowned and then laughed.
ā Maybe we are, but Jay asked us to come inā She said I looked at her in doubts.
ā I know you wanna doubt me but Iām seriousā She said.
She held my hands and dragged me like a puppy into the sā±0t.
Well that was the first time of me going in,side, cause I donāt have any business there. College VIP students filled the club. We looked around and sat down . I was looking everywhere aimlessly.
ā This place is epicā Violet said.
I saw Jay with his girlfriend. She was sitting close to him resting her head on his shoulders. Jay was Nickiās achievement because she was always talking about him on regular basis. You dare not stare at him, or else youāre in for war.
Ace was also there too, he was Jayās pal. Chloe was there too, she was Nickiās bestie. Ace waved at us and asked us to join them. I stayed back. I hate being embarrassed. Violet looked at me weirdly as she forcefully made me got up. We walked to where they were seated. Nicki looked at us weirdly, violet sat down including me. I was close to violet who sat close to Ace.
ā What are you doing here?ā Nicki asked.
ā To party of courseā I replied her.
ā Broke asses in,side the sā±0t and on my tableā Nicki thundered. Jay calmed her down at once.
ā I gave them a passā Jayden said.
ā What! Why?ā She asked.
ā Because they wanna come inā Jayden added.
ā No way Iāll never eat on the same table with peasants like herā She said looking at me.
ā I need to leaveā I said as I walked out.
ā And what are you waiting for?ā Nicki asked turning to violet.
ā Nicki you donāt own the sā±0t. Okay, so chill. You need to teach your girl some moralsā Ace said getting up. He took Violetās hand and they left.
Well Jay was speechless I guess.
