DAYS LATER
Kristen watched from the window of her room as Nicholas entered the car and the driver drove out of the compound.
Even though he’s somehow late,Jenna have left for school hours ago. But why is he like that? Why is he suddenly quiet? He have been avoiding her for days now
She sighed and collapsed on the bed staring at the ceiling,just then her phone rang and she picked up the phone.
“Wow,,its Tara” She smiled and picked the call

Kristen was shocked and immediately brought the phone down from her ear
“What the heck?” She said
📞 You really want to destroy my ear ? Huh?
📞 Am sorry,,I miss you so much
Tara replied

📞 Are you busy?

📞 I took a day off,,so I was thinking maybe we can meet up. I really miss you so much,,

” Kristen!!” Tara scre-med out as she hugged her
” Gosh Tara,,you’re too loud ” Kristen said
” I really missed you so much” Tara gro-ned
” I know,I miss you too. Let’s go in” Kristen said
” You really have a lot of things to tell me ” Tara said and Kristen raised her brow
” Really? Like what?” She asked
” Damn,girl you are looking so hot. What’s the secret?” Tara asked as they both sat down.
” Are you saying I was ugly while we were together?” Kristen asked
” No,don’t get me wrong. You are really beautiful,but now,,,,,okay let’s just forget it,,so how have you being? How is life in that Billionaire’s mansion? ” Tara asked
” Hello,,welcome to Brendon,,what can we offer you??” A waitress asked gently
” Can we get some barbecue ,,a very spicy one” Tara said
” What do you mean by a very spicy one,,” Kristen asked
” Oh sorry,,thought its only me. Just get us barbecue and some red wine” Tara said and the waitress bowed before leaving
” So,,you haven’t answered my question” Tara winked
” I think its cool,,I love it” Kristen smiled

The waitress dropped their order gently on the table
” Enjoy ” she said and walked away
” Girl I miss you,can’t stop saying that. I miss your food” Tara teased
” You’re crazy,,are you even cooking??” Kristen asked chewing the barbecue slowly
” You know cooking is not really my thing,,just doing that once in a while” Tara replied and Kristen giggled

” Damn you look hot,,can’t stop saying that” Tara said
” Are you even serious?? Like what the f**k,,i don’t think I’ve changed. I’ve not even used one month in that house,come on stop teasing me ” Kristen said
” I don’t know,,maybe its because its my first time seeing you in weeks. You just look so different to me,,” Tara said

” So tell me,,,that dude. Do you guys talk? Or is he a snub?” Tara asked
” He’s cool” Kristen replied
” Just cool??” Tara raised her brow

” Hmm,,your face right now is saying something else. Wait,,are you in love with your boss?” Tara asked in a whisper and Kristen gasped
” Are you crazy? How can I love him? Gosh you’re so unbelievable” Kristen scoffed .
” Are you sure? You don’t like him?”. Tara asked
” I don’t think we should be saying this,,” Kristen said drinking from her wine
” Hmm,,okay. Accepted,,we can’t keep on talking about your crush” Tara said
” Tara! Am not crushing on him,,”
” Okay,okay,okay,,,,accepted” Tara laughed.
Kristen shook her head.
Just then they noticed some murmurs coming from the other costumers and they looked up,,Tara gasped.
“” Miss Kristen,,right?” Andrew asked with a wide smile
Kristen bite her l-ips and nodded gently itching her neck at the same time,,
‘Gosh,can’t believe he recognize me’ she thought
” Hi” He said to Tara who only bowed
” Can I sit with you?” Andrew asked
” What?? You,,,I mean people are staring at us. I don’t want them to start thinking of something else ” Kristen said
Andrew smiled and sat down
” Do you care about what they are going to say? I don’t care” He said
” Hello sir,,,,” A waiter greeted with a grin
” Thanks” Andrew replied
” What do you want me to offer you sir?” He asked
” As Usual” Andrew replied
” Okay sir ”
” You girls don’t want anything??”
” We will,,,,” Tara almost talked but Kristen interrupted
” We are okay,,,we are about leaving. Right Tara?” Kristen smiled
” What? We just got here” Tara replied and Kristen rolled her eyes
” I’ve been looking forward to see you again ,I guess am lucky today” Andrew said to Kristen while Tara watched with keen interest wondering how they know each other
” You didn’t tell me you want to see me ” Kristen muttered under her breath
” Wow,,you would have answered if I want us to meet?”. Andrew asked happily
” I never said that” Kristen replied and Tara almost laughed
Kristen shot her a hærd glare.
” You didn’t tell me about yourself,,” Andrew said
” I’m Kristen,and I really appreciate you for what you did for my sister. It mean alot to me ” Kristen said
” Oh,,that’s nothing. You dont need to thank me” Andrew replied

The moment Kristen heard that,her heart skipped a beat and she looked up to see if its the Nicholas she knows.
Her eyes w¡dened when she saw him coming in with his PA,,Shane. They were both talking as they came in,,

” are you okay?” Andrew asked Kristen seeing she was restless
” Yeah am fine” She replied

But why is she feeling so uncomfortable? She doesn’t want him to see her with Andrew but there’s no how she’s going to escape this.
The moment she thought about that,,Nicholas gaze fell on her and then on Andrew.
He looked away and sat down on the other end with Shane,,,
” Miss Kristen,,” Andrew called
” I need to go,,am sorry. Tara,,come on ” Kristen said and stood up
She took her bag and walked out with Tara running after her.
” Gosh,,seriously why are we leaving so early and in haste?” Tara asked
” He shouldn’t have saw that,,now he’s going to have some negative thoughts” Kristen said and roughed her hair
” Negative thought of you chilling with your best friend?” Tara asked
” He saw Andrew with me come on” Kristen snapped
” Can’t you see what am bringing out? I dont want him to see us that way,”
” Okay I think am getting it,,you don’t want him seeing you with Andrew. Okay ,,but why. ”
” You know what? Let’s forget this,,” Kristen said and Tara sighed
” Okay,,,we will talk tonight. I love you” Tara said and hugged her before they both went their separate ways.

( The Bill’s Mansion ) 9:20pm
Kristen was in her room pacing up and down expecting Nicholas to get home so she could clear herself,,she doesn’t even know why she felt so guilty but she really wanted him to know that everything he saw was nothing.
” Where is he?” She mumbled and keep on pacing
The moment she heard cars coming in,,she rushed to the window and breathe out seeing him coming in.
She waited for few minutes before going out of her room,,she got to his door and stood there.
” You can do this Kristen” she cleared her throat and then pressed the door alarm.
Seconds later,Nicholas opened the door,,he raised his brow waiting for her to speak up but she only kept quiet staring at him.
” Guess you have nothing to say” Nicholas said and almost closed the door,,she immediately stopped him
” Wait,,” She said and rushed in
” What do you want??” He asked coldly
” Am sorry for disturbing you,,,” Kristen said
” What do you want Kristen” He asked and she looked up
” You saw me today right??” Kristen asked
He rolled his eyes
” That was absolutely nothing,,,I went there with my best friend. I never planned to meet Andrew there,,,it just happened,,,”
” Why are you telling me this?? Do I look like I care?” He snapped
” I know you don’t care,,just want you to know it’s nothing” she said
” Okay,,can you leave now?”
” Why did you change so much? Is something bothering you? ” Kristen asked
” Do you care??”
” I do,,if no one cares. I do,,you can tell me what is wrong” Kristen said
” Am fine,,you don’t have to worry about me ” Nicholas said trying not to look into her eyes
” Then why are you avoiding my face? Are you scared of me?” Kristen teased and he scoffed
” Why will I be scared of you?”
” If you are not,,then tell me what’s wrong” Kristen said
” Wait,,you remember am your boss right? Why are you talking to me so informally? Huh?” Nicholas asked and Kristen smiled
” Am sorry boss,,won’t do that again” She said and Nicholas gro-ned
” You’re really something else right now” He said and rub his hair
” Goodnight sir ” Kristen bowed and opened the door
He pulled her back and locked the door
” Where do you think you’re going? After succeeding in sed-cing me?” He asked and she gasped
” What?? sed-ce?? ” she asked
” You wouldn’t know” He said and before she could say anything else,his l-ips already caught hers which took her by shock

He k-ssed her so sweetly, he missed those soft l-ips of hers even more than he had imagined and to her,his touch on her body always like magic. The feelings was indeed mutual.
He lifted her up and her legs wrapped around his wa-ist,,he was feeling so hot at that moment. Why did he suddenly k-ss her again? He had planned to avoid her but it seems he can never be free from her trap anymore,he had to give in to the feeling.
He dropped her on the bed and broke the k-ss,,she opened her eyes and stared straight into his eyes. This time,she doesn’t feel embarrassed to look into his eyes. She just wanted him to continue what he started and nothing else.
” Kristen,,” Nicholas called almost in a gro-n
” Sir?” She replied and Nicholas chuckled,how can she make his heart beat so fast just by talking alone? Is he going crazy or something
” Can I ask a question??” He asked and k-ssed her neck
She nodded trying hærd not to mo-n out his name
” Will you become my girlfriend??” He asked and she immediately gasped
” Sir??”
” Tell me,,will you become my girlfriend?” He asked again and for a second she couldn’t talk,she was speechless.

” You won’t reply??” Nicholas asked still k-ssing her neck
” I,,,,,,I don’t know” She replied and Nicholas stopped,,he stared at her l-ips

” No,,,I never said that” Kristen said and bite her l-ips

” So,,you’re going to become my girlfriend?” Nicholas asked and she nodded

” Let’s get married ” Nicholas said and Kristen stood up from the bed
” Mr Bill,,we just started dating some minutes ago. How can you talk of getting married already?” She asked
” Am sorry,,am really in love with you ” Nicholas said and pecked her cheek.
She smiled sleepily and slowly closed her eyes.

Iris gro-ned when she heard a knock on her door,,she opened her eyes and checked the time.
” F**k,am late already” She said and stood up
She opened the door and was surprised to see Jenna at the door still in her pajamas,,,
” What do you want? And why are you still in this??” Iris asked
” I can’t find nanny in her room,am running late already. Can you please help me take my bath?” She asked
” Thought we are not friends,so why are you asking me for help?” Iris asked
” Fine,let’s be friends. Do I have a choice?” Jenna rolled her eyes
” Sometimes I wonder if you’re really a kid,gosh. I am also gonna be late for school,,” Iris gro-ned
” Please” Jenna pouted
” Okay fine,let’s go ” Iris said and they both walked to Jenna’s room
” Where do you think nanny went to? She always get to my room first in the morning,,,” Jenna said
” Don’t ask me questions,,am not her guardian” Iris snapped

” I said am worried ” Jenna said and rolled her eyes

She was about leaving when Nicholas appeared
” Finally you’re awake ” He smiled
” Morning Sir,” Kristen bowed And Nicholas scoffed
” are you going to keep on calling me that??” He asked
” What should I call you??”
” My name,,Nicholas come on ”
” No I can’t do that,,I can’t start calling your name all of a sudden,the maids and guards will find it weird” Kristen replied
” Is this their house or mine?” Nicholas asked
” The houae is yours,,but still I can’t” She said
” You’re going to keep on calling me Sir? Mr Bill?”
” Yes,,but why didn’t you wake me up? Jenna would have been waiting for me ” Kristen sighed
” You look beautiful while sleeping,,so I didnt wake you up ” Nicholas winked
Kristen smiled shyly and opened the door
” I need to go,,” She said and left
Nicholas smiled but it was short lived when Shane came in,,
” Morning boss ” He bowed
” Morning Shane ” Nicholas replied with a smile and Shane was shocked
Did he just reply his greetings with a smile and not a nod?
They both walked out of the room and went downstairs,,
” Good Morning Sir ” The maids bowed
” Morning to you all ” He replied with his unusual cute smiles
The moment he left the maids turned to each other looking confused,,,
” I don’t understand what is going on ” One of them said
” Am more confused here,,” Another one said
” He really replied”
” He even smiled!!! ”
” Gossipers !!!” A voice yelled behind them and they all scattered finding their way.
” What were you all blabbing about?” He asked
” Its nothing mam ” They replied
” So you mean am deaf?”
” No!! We are sorry ”
Iris ignored them and went out of the house

Just then Iris came in and walked directly to her seat

” Just decided to” She smirked and sat down

The class was silent as the teacher started the lesson,,

” Hey Max,,” Natalie joined Max in the library,she sat down beside him with her normal smile
” What do you want Natalie,,” Max snapped
” That’s harsh,why are you being hærd these days? Did I do anything wrong?” She asked sadly

Natalie took the text from him and he looked up
” Did Zack tell you anything?” Shs asked
” Who is Zack?” Max asked and she frowned
” Are you kidding me? You’re asking me who Zack is?”
” Can you please stop talking to me? Just give him your attention,I don’t want to be the bad guy. He likes you

” And I don’t like him,,it’s you I want not him ” She snapped and dropped the book.
She stormed out of the library,,,Max gro-ned and roughed his hair
Seconds later,Zack came in with a grin
” Hey dude,,good job for trying to turn me to the bad person. For damn sake,,I only asked you to ignore her ,why telling her I threatened you?” Zack asked angrily
” Can you please leave me alone? Am not in the mood for all these” Max replied and faced his book
Zack grabbed it from him and threw it away
” Seriously? Do you f**king remember we are in the library?” Max asked
” I won’t repeat myself anymore,,stay away from her or else,,”
” Or else what” a voice came up and they both turned to see the person.
Max rolled his eyes when he saw her,,
” Continue,,or else what. You’re going to hit him??” Irish asked standing in akimbo
Zack scoffed
” Are you also crushing on him? It’s obvious” Zack lauhhed
” Nope,,He’s not my type ” Iris replied and Max scoffed
” so why are you defending him?” Zack askes
” No reason,,just wanted to warm my fist you know?” She smiled

” You’re crazy ” Zack said and without thinking twice Iris jumped and hit him directly on his face and he fell immediately
She almost hit him again but Max stopped her and grabbed her hand dragging her out of the library.
” What the f**k? Leave my hand alone before I teach you a lesson ” Iris yelled and threw his hand off.
” Are you crazy? How can you fight in school??” Max half yelled
” Am only trying to warm up,,is that something bad?” Iris asked folding her fist and throwing her punch in the air
Max watch her in absolute shock and shook his head.

” now you know” She grinned
” You should be a boy not a girl” Max said and walked away
” I really wish am I boy ” Iris ran after him and he chuckled
” Crazy ” He muttered and she smiled
” Thank you for hitting that bastard though,,He’s a pest ” Max said
” Am sure his face will be swollen already,,” Iris said proudly and he laughed
” Just call me anytime he tries rubbish with you,,,I can use him as my punch bag since I don’t have one ” She said
” I won’t call you,,you’re going to get into trouble. Gosh what type of girl are you?”
” Crazy girl” She replied and walked away

” I was shocked,,when I went to his office to submit my work. He spoke to me so nicely” Another one said

Megan who was eavesdropping folded her fist tightly and walked away,,He’s in love? With who?
